This item contains two sermons preached in October 2023 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Tucumcari, New Mexico.
Using the prominent, biblical imagery of a city with its defensive walls as a metaphor for individuals, as in Proverbs 25:28, Pastor Runyan offers practical faith-filled strategies for people struggling in the present because of trauma in their past.
These strategies are gleaned from Runyan's study of the Bible story of Nehemiah, as well as his own history as a counselor and personal experience with trauma.
