I don't want to save the world, I just want my happily ever after. Shadow Fall is a paranormal romance with psycho men, a ruthless revenge-driven FMC, twisted demon romance, and lots and lots of bloodlust. Deadly archdemons, cutting sarcasm, epic reincarnation romance, and gruesome murders fill these pages, so get ready to laugh, cry, and swoon. This book is set in the same world as Lili Kazana - but this series stands completely separate.
Leigh Kelsey is the author of romance and reverse harem books for anyone with a soft spot for steely women and the tortured men who love them. No matter what stories she's writing - vampires or shifters or bad boys - they all share a common thread of love, heart, and action. She is the author of the Lili Kazana series, the Moonlight Inn series, the Dead Space stand alone, and the Blacktower Prison for Supernaturals series, plus many more books.
There is one more book to come after “Shadow Fall”, and I’m used to those books in a series usually being the ones with less story, and more “calm before the storm”. Even though the author mentions this calm herself, I have to say for me this one still held a lot of story. I love the fact that these characters actually struggle with their roles in saving the world, and how they try to find a way to escape from it all and just live their own lives. It makes them so much more reliable compared to a lot of badass characters who are willing to give up everything and become heroes. These people don’t want to be heroes; they just want the chance to live their own HEA and isn’t that what we all want?
So even though this book has less action, it has some other important things. It has a bit of healing, acceptance of the fate they can’t run from, the development of a true family and character development that shows the strength in not being without flaws. I’ve really enjoyed this series so far, and I’m looking forward to find out the conclusion to this story.
*RH *Paranormal *Multi- POV *fated mates *demons *rebirth *stabby FMC *building harem (5) *fast burn 🔥 *5/5 - part one What else could happen now?! Talk about going through the ringer….they’re like cats this harem they’ve got about 9 lives between them and they’re about up 😳 there’s a lot of processing their feelings after all they’ve been through 😢 Haley appears to make a new friend who insists she’s the answer to taking the world back from Cronus! Yet her and her harem want nothing to do with playing heroes anymore and just want to survive! It draws on interesting moral questions as to what you would do 🙈 yet after they realised the situations their friends are in and the steps Cronus is taking, they know they need to do what they can! They have a plan, it’s certainly risky and then you’re left mid action 😮😮 looking forward to the last half 😁
The beginning of the end. Shadow Fall Part One is the second to last book in the Kissed by Brimstone series and of course, it was nothing but emotional upheaval but it was so good.
This group has really been through the wringer, imprisonment, amnesia, death (a few times), and a prophecy but somehow they make it through. Together. The guys go through a lot of emotional turmoil that just breaks my heart, especially Kai. That man loves so hard that it could break him. I always thought Kai was the one who loved more deeply and he showed it in this one. So, I like Wyn now. He wasn't bad just in a bad situation and now he's had his redemption arc, fully accepted, he has a family now. Wyn had some teary-eyed moments that made my heart hurt and fully endured me to him.
The plot was character-focused which I enjoyed, I liked these characters but that isn't to say that some information wasn't given. It's crazy out there. Some unexpected familial connections are revealed, people have lost their minds, more clues to the prophecy are given and Cronus is making even more moves and we already know the man has started eating people, again. And that was the stuff behind the scenes.
Shadow Fall Part One was good but it was just the setup for the epic showdown that is to come. The battle between Cronus and Hals is going to be good. To quote a certain Wizarding book, "One must die at the other's hand for “neither can live while the other survives.” Shadow Fall Part Two is going to be good.
Halwen's journey with her men has been heart breaking time and time again but the love they have for each other keeps them going even though the world is literally ending. All they want is to live and love happily ever after but fate has other plans. Haley, Kai, Harvey, Wane and Wyn each have their own personal demons..some faced together and some apart but they all lean on each other and start opening up more to actually heal and that's so amazing to see. I love the emotional impact this whole series has had on me and the characters! Leigh has said this is the calm before the storm and it's already gearing up to be an epic showdown, one I cannot wait to see!
After how book 4 ended I couldn't tell you how much I was dying to see how the rest of the series would play out??? I honestly though that this book would the final one but I can't say that I'm disappointed there's another book to come because I'm not! Life, Death, Apocalypse, Family and renewing relationships after loss all of it was in this book. So much happened here that if I wrote all down id let out a few spoilers so that's not happening. It definitely kept me on my toes that's for sure. With that cliff-hanger ending I cant wait for the last book now.
Love this series and its taken me on a ride and this book is no different Halwen is such a bad a$$ I love her but the guys are also bad a$$, they have decisions to make save the world or not ? This book draws you in like all the others and you can’t put it down can’t wait until the next book to find out what happens !
Anyways... I'm upset that I have to wait for the next book because I read this whole series in two days. I've read a few of Leigh Kelsey's series now and they just keep getting better. She enjoys ruining her readers into piles of mush.
😉 Here's to hoping she needs an extra person on her BETA or ARC team for the last book in the series! 😉
This is one of the best series I’ve read. For some reason I can’t get enough of this book. Wished I waiting until completed. But will be waiting to read last book. Hate to see it end
Much better story continuity after the first book. All the others have been more fun to follow along with and enjoy the story and plot being written. Can’t wait for the last book!
Finally it’s time to put everything into motion. It’s been a long time coming for book 6. I’ve waited all long time for this series and feels like even longer for book 6 lol bring it on.
This book was mostly build up for what I'm assuming will be the last book in the series. None of the characters got to actually "heal" from any of their past trauma, but hopefully they've put the pieces back together enough to get through to the end!
It would please me so much if this series never ends it made me laugh it made me cry and made me fall in love with every single character on the good side.
