First, I want to say and thank you for being able to read this book as an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Imagine one day you bump into someone, and instead of apologizing, that person asks you to marry them in exchange for money if you need it, a dream for you, a reality for Raina.
I found the dynamic between the two protagonists very good; I didn't feel like their relationship was starting to feel forced and convenient for the story.
However, I would have liked the beginning not to be so rushed; certain events are only mentioned but not described as such.
Still, this seemed fine to me because if they were described, it would have taken a long time to get to what the description promises us, and the reading would have become tedious.
I enjoyed the book very much, everything was very nice, and especially that epilogue.

"Real - actually existing as a thing or occurring in fact; not imagined or supposed."

I am surprised I liked this book to be honest. At first it was strange, that was because of the pace, the plot, and the characters, however about 30% in it seemed like a totally different author wrote it.

The read was easy and fairly fast pace. It was never slow or anything like that. I personally liked the third act breakup, but that is just my opinion. I read this because I got accepted for the arc of the second book!

“I will always be here for you in whatever you need.”

••You will enjoy:
-closed door romcom
-marriage of convenience
-enemies to lovers
-grumpy x sunshine
-humor
-location

“I’d love to break all our rules,” he murmurs. “Then I’d like to write new ones with you, ones that we won’t be so desperately tempted to break.”

@nicole_lam_author what a fun romcom, All Too Reel is! I loved how this book showed the importance that, the people one loves are what matters most. I enjoyed the journey this relatable characters went on and, how their perspectives changed for the better!! The humor, the swoony romance, antics, plot twists, location had my full attention! Enjoyable story!

•Content: some mild language, mild+romance/innuendo, (past) death of loved ones.

“When you love someone, you choose to forgive them because you knew going into this that they were going to hurt you and disappoint you. You knew, but you chose to love them anyways because loving them is worth the pain. Love is worth getting hurt for.”

This was a remarkable, remarkable story. In romances, I'm usually more of a fantasy/historical romance lover.
But boy, this story has just expanded my horizon. It was not too cheesy, neither was it too cliche. An unusual romance/contract marriage story between an actual prince and an actress. What more could one ask for?

I like the wonderful sense of humour the author infused into the characters. It was quite refreshing and I had lots of doses of laughs while reading the story.

Plus, I absolutely love the name choice for the main characters. Raina—Rain—Mi Reina? Kostas—Kostaskis! Absolutely original.

I could relate most with Kostas and his complicated family relationship. It felt as though his ambition was what was driving him until he finally realised that the people one loves are what truly matters.

I think one of my favourite locations was the place Kostas and Raina had their honeymoon trip — La Sagrada Familia. As an architecture student, it's been my dream to visit such landmarks one day and seeing such an awe-inspiring location used in a book as a romantic setting has just raised my expectations up a notch.

Also, permit me to add a snippet of what was my favourite quote from the book, that had me all teary-eyed:

“But when you love someone, you choose to forgive them because you knew going into this that they were going to hurt you and disappoint you. You knew, but you chose to love them anyways because loving them is worth the pain. Love is worth getting hurt for.” — Leo, Raina's brother.

I also loved how every romantic scene was kept PG and the subtle references to a higher value system. It showed how well the author was careful to honour God even in this story that normally would have had the tendency to become more grating.

I received this book as an ARC. All my opinions are very honest and sincere. This is a book I'll recommend to those who enjoy reading a good love story.

I always look forward to Nicole Lam's Christian and clean books as I know that I'll be in for an enjoyable ride. This was no exception as All Too Reel is infused with the author's characteristic charm and lighthearted humour. Nicole's writing style is engaging, witty, and introspective all at the same time, allowing readers to immerse themselves in her stories. She is skilled at writing strong friendships and characters that are multi-dimensional. In short, these characters come to life on the page, giving the sense that they can be known and understood beyond the circumstances they are facing.

Raina and Kostas both come from complex backgrounds involving pain, betrayal, and loss, but there is always a sense that they will emerge into who they are meant to be. Their romance unfolds in the most natural and sweet way, with supportive characters who bring out the best in them. I appreciate that Nicole's stories are less driven by physical appearance—though chemistry is certainly alluded to—and are more about each person's best qualities, making this book even more swoon-worthy. Readers looking for a story with heart, adventure, and personal growth will appreciate Raina and Kostas as they navigate a marriage of convenience and all the emotions that unfold between them.

New to me author.
I liked that the prince was a second son instead of about to become King. I'm not sure the king could get away with a fake relationship with planned divorce like a second son could.
I had a hard time liking Raina. She purposefully kept herself cool and aloof from the people around her and I never felt her really warming up. I'd just start to think maybe she would show some warmth and then she'd freeze up solid. Plus I felt like she acted immature. Kostas started off so abrupt and controlling that he seemed like a difficult character but it was easier to see him warming and learning more about how to be in a relationship. I was confused by the choices one family member made and would have expected it more from a different one.
I'm not a drinker so maybe this is a normal thing but I didn't like the drinking to excess that occurred. Or the unauthorized use of a credit card. Since that is illegal, I'm pretty sure that isn't a normal thing. That whole scene bugged me.
I was pleased to see improved familial relationships by the end of the book. Both Raina and Kostas had some things to figure out about themselves in order to make progress with others, both in their marital relationship as well as family ties. I felt hopeful about the relationships by the end.
I think that a lot of people will like this book better than 3 stars worth. It just wasn't a great fit for me.

Sex: no
Language: yes
Violence: no but references to a fight prior to the book opening.

This is a fun and cute romcom story!
It features some of my favorite tropes, like fake dating and marriage of convenience.

I liked the royalty element, and it was refreshing that Kostas wasn't the heir to the throne.

Kostas is a little bit grumpy, a little bit stiff, and a lot swoony! He has some family issues, but gradually he gets more answers and more insight, which benefits his relationship with his family.

Raina is spirited and independent, and family is very important to her. In spite of that, she does struggle a bit with her relationship with her brother.

They both have experienced the loss of beloved ones, and they both have some trust issues.
It was lovely to see how they could help mend each other.

I loved the banter and chemistry between the two MCs. Their relationship had a very natural development, and it was enjoyable to see it grow.

There was also a plot twist I didn't see coming. I expected something, but actually from a different character.

The writing style is easy to read and brought me back to some of my favorite romcom movies.
The characters are also really well written and portrayed in a relatable way.

Some of my favorite moments were:

- the guinea pig

- he takes care of her when she's sick

- the kissing log

If you are a big fan of romcom movies and books featuring royalty and fake dating/ marriage, then I would really recommend this book!

And if you're not a fan, maybe this book will persuade you 😄

Ever since I read the blurb of All Too Reel in the end of Make A Cut ARC, I've been hooked! Especially when Nicole started teasing her book on Instagram, oh my goodness, I don't know how I waited this long until I finally got my hands on it!

I liked Raina ever since For The Record (in her brother Leo's story). The relationship she shared with her brother was my favourite in that book. However, here in All Too Reel, things between them is a little complicated. And I liked that! I love how Nicole has complicated sibling relationships in all her books, because how the characters soothe things out in the end always has me end up in tears. This one had a tenfold effect in me. I was constantly in tears whenever Raina and Leo were mentioned together.

Sibling dynamic aside, the romance in this book was... Oh, swoon! I cannot express how much I loved Kostas and Raina, their banter, their chemistry. Gah! I loved it all. And I had a good laugh. While both of their personalities were refreshing and realistic, Raina was so relatable too. I think a lot of girls will agree with me 🤣🤣🤣

I couldn't rest until I finished the book. Let's say, I loved all of it. Each chapter was much better than the last with the thrill. I was over the moon when they flew to Kostas' family, the wedding, THAT KISS, drama, and the ending. My heart swelled.

I expect nothing less from Nicole Lam. And this is yet another book of hers that I'd HIGHLY recommend to all readers!

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. All the opinions are solely mine.

All to Reel is the first book I have read by Nicole Lam and I loved it! This book was hilarious and had an engaging plot that had me hooked. All too Reel had classic romcom movie vibes. The story was a mix between some of my favorite tropes, enemies to lovers, grumpy sunshine, and forced proximity. Kostas was the perfect swoony grumpy prince! Raina was the perfect heroine to melt Kostas’s heart. Nicole Lam wrote the best banter between Kostas and Raina. The banter was witty and sassy! I loved all the nods to 2000s romcom movies. Especially the 10 Ten Things I Hate About You moment in the book! The romance is closed door with swoony kisses. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. All too Reel was fantastic and highly recommend this book!

I received an ARC copy of the book and all thoughts are my own.

I didn’t realize this book has a Prince as the male lead until it’s revealed in the story! Then I looked at the cover and realized the crown should have been a clue, that’s also when I saw Kostas’ tattoo and thought that was an interesting addition to be discovered later in the story.

I loved Raina’s vibrancy and Kostas’ heart for those he loves. The characters are all so much fun.

There were just elements to the plot and story development that I didn’t jive with personally, so not at all a bad book, just not my preference, you know?

This book was so good I literally finished it in a couple hours! This is a closed door romance and it has arranged marriage in it which I absolutely love! This couple I really loved even when they were enemies and fussed a lot in the beginning you can still feel the connection they had, so yes this is a enemies to lovers vibe so who doesn’t love that I know I do!!! This also has the royalty trope in it which has a little drama dealing with that! The plot was amazing I can’t wait for book 2 for Gloria’s story! You guys definitely need to read this you won’t be disappointed!

Another new-to-me author and another MOC story. I confess I am not a fan of "royal" stories, but this one wasn't as over the top as some can be. I absolutely loved how Kostas and Raina meet. She makes a real splash on him! LOL! I have to add that some might think his quick proposal unrealistic, but the first thing my dad did when he met my mom was introduce himself and say "and I am going to marry you!" Mother thought he was a nut and wanted nothing to do with him. They married 4 months later!

I loved watching Kostas and Raina's relationship develop into more than either expected. Watched them both deal with past hurts and life choices that caused them to feel stuck. Family dynamics played a big role in this story. I will say there were a few parts I felt were rushed or under developed (situation with gramdmother and with uncle). One was tied up nice and tighty off the page and the other ignored. I would have like to have seen those fleshed out a bit more. But didn't ruin the story at all!

7.5/10 (3.5 stars)

Took me a bit to get into and I was nervous as I wasn't bonding with the characters.

BUT,

My goodness did it pick up. I love Kostas and Raina's relationship. The miscommunication at times sent me and what about Yiayia eh ?? Woowwww (not spoiling 👀, IYKYK)

I loved how direct Kostas was, being a prince and not being used to a fiery and direct girl like Raina, she definitely softened him and my heart 😭

His pet names definitely needed revising and I'm glad he did, so cute !

*Spoiler here, kinda* we never did find out what his tattoo was tho 😭😭

Such a cute ending overall, loved it. Definitely recommend !

Rating: 4.25 ⭐️

Spice: 1/5 🌶️

This was such a hallmark experience in the best way! I did appreciate that the main trope (marriage of convenience) was brought up so soon in the story. There have been many books I’ve read where the main trope doesn’t happen until 60% through the book! This one however was fairly quick and moved right into that storyline.

I will try to keep spoilers to a minimum but there is one I will say outright, there’s a 3rd act break-up 😒 for that reason this book was not rated higher (4.5 ⭐️) but overall, it did not ruin the story for me.

Both characters went through changes and grew both individually and together. There were plenty of funny laugh-out-loud moments and sweet swoony ones.

I really enjoyed this story! From start to finish I was hooked! The main characters in the story both had complicated history with betrayals and loss that made them reluctant to try love again. Some things I found fun and interesting:
-the meet cute
-the banter
-the nicknames
-fake marriage
-he takes care of her
-complicated family dynamics for both

I definitely recommend this one and can’t wait to read the sequel when it comes out!!

This book was so adorable. It was easy & fun & a fairytale on the page - everything that my Princess Diaries heart wanted & more!
I loved the description that the author used to perfectly paint the scenes for me. The family dynamic was beautifully written & the chemistry between the MCs was perfect!
I did however want more. More romance, more contention & more banter. Everything was great, but I wanted it amplified ha!
Overall, cute & easy & clean.

Cute and quick!

I wanted to love this book.
I know it was meant to jump right into things, but the way some of the inner-dialogue was worded, I didn’t feel like it aligned with how short a time they’d actually known each other.

But, overall was a cute story!! I could definitely see some potential for Gloria’s story maybe being the next?

A closed door, sweet fake marriage enemies to lovers romance.
From the first moment Prince Kostas meets Raina, soaked in coffee, he knows there’s something special about her. She can be the one to help him unlock his lifelong dream.
Enjoy watching their relationship evolve and deepen. Watch as they both address past hurts and their own insecurities.

What do you get when you mix enemies with a fake marriage and royalty? Many many laughs. This is the first book I've read by the author but it will not be my last! Her way of handling characters grief and insecurities was fantastic and the story kept me turning the pages! I found myself wishing to visit this tiny country, rooting for resolution in family conflict and happy for the hea.

What a book! Nicole Lam had me hooked at the very beginning with Kostas’ direct proposal. The story takes off real quick. There are some marriage-of-convenience books that don’t take place till the middle of the book, but this one happens rather quickly. There are appearances of past characters, which makes me want to read their books now. Also, the characters in this book travel so that was pretty fun to read.

Kostas is a grump, but is such a swoon worthy character! Raina loves to push his buttons, which makes the book so hilarious. I loved those moments when Kosta took care of Raina. I liked the chemistry between Raina and Kostas. It felt real and genuine.

I can’t wait for the next book, and I hope Kostas and Raina come out in it!

First off, I’d like to start with how honored I was to arc read a book! It was a lot of fun and I definitely enjoyed being able to write this article.
I’ll start with this:
The book wasn’t too entertaining, and whilst I probably would have enjoyed it better if it was in book form instead of reading it on my iPad. The banter was spot on, thought the beginning was quite too cliche and sudden.
The plot was a good one and it had me hooked for the first five chapters before it slowly started to lose my interest to my frustration. I love the characters.
Overall, great characters and plot, but too cliche.

Kostas is needing a fake wife to get an inheritance. Is he a prince? Does she agree? How does their families react? What happens when the truth comes out? Will it stay fake or become real?

This book is just so sweet. Hehe… love the bickering and the flirting between Raina and Kostas. And also the way that he cares for her when she was sick was so sweet. Love that they also opened up to each other about their feelings and pain. And they are there for each other all the time. And moments of grandmother Yiayia is just so fun to read too though at some parts are a bit serious. (can’t spoil it) read then you know. Yiayia is just lovable and cool. Leo the overprotective brother loves his sister too much which make her feel suffocated but they managed to talk it out and forgave each other. Love the nickname that they gave each other. Hehe… other that Yiayia the scene stealer there is one more scene stealer too which is Andreas and also Gloria. I hope that Nicole will write their happily ever afters too hehe… they are both a lovable character too. The way they are always by this two lovebirds’ side. This book made me smile, swoon, laugh and also loving the forgiveness between in both of their family.

P.S It makes me want to have a guinea pig too hehe… so cuteee….

I would like to preface this by saying that I think the author really did well with her book and that my rating is strictly about my own preferences (which is of course different for everyone).

This was the first book of Nicole Lam's that I've read. Firstly, I love that it's closed door and doesn't have any explicit intimate scenes in it. I like when there are good books that are modest. I didn't like that the book included mentions of the characters drinking intoxicants as well as getting drunk from drinking so much though, but to each their own.

I found the humor attributed to the main male character entertaining, however, not so much for the female main character. I just found her a bit immature at times in situations where maturity or a reasonable reaction was definitely warranted and there was no character development on her part compared to Kostas (the male lead) who became less ambition oriented compared to the beginning.

All in all, I don't have any huge complaints about this book, it was good. I think it had good humor and that someone's likes and dislikes in general when it comes to what they read would determine how much they enjoyed this book since people have different preferences.

The plot did not take the generic direction I was expecting which was great. It was an easy read in terms of the language and flow of the writing, but I didn't read it all in one day as I usually would when it comes to a book I'm really into, but it just comes down to preferences regarding the mini/sub genres honestly.

Ultimately, I think the author did well.
