A delightfully steamy romantic story about a twin whose parents treat her like the black sheep of the family, she tried to make Thanksgiving dinner by herself and started a fire that brought back a man from her past back to her, the man she had loved since she was younger. The fireman who rescued her from the burning building used to work for her parents but he left without saying a word to her. After getting her away from her family that were screaming at her, he took her to get checked out before taking her to his home.
The fireman was still angry about what the twins parents did to him, the twin tried to help him by letting him do what he wanted to get the anger out of him but it didn’t help. The fireman had oral sex and was about to have sex with her but he stopped himself. The twin blamed herself for the fireman being angered by seeing her parents again and the fireman blamed himself the way he acted towards her.
As the twin got cleaned up the fireman started making her a Thanksgiving dinner that the twin wanted, he wanted her to have everything she wanted. They sat and ate then afterwards the watched a movie during the movie he gave her oral sex and then they made love, right after a knock was at the door and his phone started to ring. The fireman wouldn’t tend to either of them until he got the twin cleaned up.
After the fireman got the twin cleaned and got her a shirt to wear he went to the door, standing there was the twin’s family and two police officers. The parents were accusing him of kidnapping. When they got the kidnapping tended to with the officers, she refused to go home with her parents, she and her twin found out about the fireman being in prison for stealing a brooch that they knew wasn’t stolen.
After a while the twin’s family left, they went to the bedroom watching the movie and talking. They talked about getting married and having kids. They told each other that they loved one another.
Seven years later they’re married with a set of twin sons as well as a daughter. Her twin sister helped her husband about the theft their parents accused him of and he sued the mother for the false accusation which he won. The twin boys pulled all of the flowers she planted from the flower bed before they left to go see their father at work, the daughter was asleep. She stopped to get donuts and other treats before getting to the fire station. The husband was named fire chief and she was happy about that. When they got there another fireman played with the boys, her husband’s secretary took their daughter, while her and her husband went to have sex in his office. They tell one another that they love each other while kissing.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
All Camilla has ever wanted was to feel apart of her family, being the youngest twin, her sister is the heir to the family empire and therefore ignored, she knows that she will never be good enough but it is thanksgiving and for the first time ever her parents have agreed to a sit down meal with all the trimmings. Cami is so excited for the day to begin, but that soon turns to disappointment when she discovers that there is no turkey in the oven and here parents are no where to be seen, deciding that she will make the dinner, which sounded good in theory however but Cami is a disaster in the kitchen and that is putting it nicely, the day was not meant to end with her being carried out of her home after burning the lunch by a fireman and not just any fire man but the love of her life and the boy she had known eight years ago Damien Sharp, the one that she has never forgotten. Will Damien remember her, or did she make so little impression on him that she has been wiped from his memory and heart?
Damien loves his job and has worked hard to get to where he is now, being a fireman, he has worked hard to get where he is, especially after being wrongly accused of stealing and spending a year in prison. It was coming to the end of the shift when they get the call to a house he had never wanted to set foot in again, the Greene family home the place where only one person thought that he was worthy of kindness, Camilla shy and sweet who followed him round like a lost puppy but there was something about her that was different to the rest of her family. So, when he arrived at the house and discovered she was in there, he knew that he was going to be the one to save her. Damien was unprepared for his reaction to her when she opened her eyes and looked at him, she is no longer the girl he knew but now a woman and she is his woman, so when her parents immediately start attacking her for what is obviously an accident he knows that he needs to protect her, but can Damien truly put the past and the wrong doing that her parents were apart of and allow himself to love, or is that too much to ask for?
Massive Cassi Hart fan right here and I highly recommend this book, its fast paced with a story that keeps you hooked all the way through. 4.2*

Big grumpy firefighter Damien never thought he'd be reunited with Cami, not after 8 long years and definitely not after what her selfish parents did to try and throw a wrench in his future.
But when he gets a call about a house fire, he is surprised to be rescuing Cami and knocked out by the instant attraction he feels to her.
Cami only wanted to surprise her family with a home cooked Thanksgiving dinner but when it goes horribly wrong and her life is in danger, her family shows her their indifference. And they do it right in front of the man she's been crushing on since her teen years.
When Damien offers her a place to stay, away from her parent's negativity, Cami decides to be daring for the first time and grasps onto Damien. He shows her what it means to be loved and cared for by someone and things only get better from there!
Loved this quickie read. It was steamy and the characters were well developed and engaging. I loved how Damien stepped in to be the protector but he also has a darker more dominate side that he only shows Cami and its hot! Cami also goes through a change, where she finally accepts her parents indifference but no longer allows their bad attitude to affect her any more. This was a spicy read but there is plot and some conflict to overcome.
Would definitely recommend this author.

Part of A Big Burly Romance series each can be read as a standalone with a big burly guy and the young girl who captures his undivided attention. Camilla is a sweetheart who hasn’t had the best life despite growing up with wealth her parents pretty much ignored her she was the younger of the two twins and they dotted on her twin leaving her alone causing her to withdraw into herself. Now she has asked for a Thanksgiving dinner but of course everyone has decided to find something else to do at the last minute leaving her alone, so she tried to cook dinner on her own. Damian sexy as all get out fireman although, he wasn’t always a fireman he worked as a pool boy for Camilla’s parents they saw him as the help beneath them, talked down to him with so much disgust with entitlement, even went so far as to blame him for stealing a family heirloom but that was eight years ago he is a fireman now and when he gets a call to a house on fire to find her of course he saves her and seeing her bring back all the feeling he had so staying at the hospital with her was a no brainer. The magnetic pull was there all those years ago and it is much stronger to hard to ignore yet when her parents arrive, they scream, blame her never once ask if she is okay. They didn’t really recognize him but he invites her to his house where he cooks a full course meal but of course her parents couldn’t leave her be they call the police to say he kidnapped her but will he be arrested, will they get their way forcing them apart again because he is working class, will she get her chance at being happy, will they keep their control over her or will she finally stand up for herself, and can she find happiness with her grumpy fireman?

Big Grumpy Fireman by Cassi Hart is a wonderful addition to A Big Burly Romance Series. I am continuously surprised there hasn't been a book by Cassi that I didn't love. This is why she continuous to be favorite author when it comes to short easy reads. If I am being honest with each book I have decided to read by this author I always wonder if this will be the book I don't love. Cassi has delivered and original plot, with characters whom were easy to love, lots of action and just the right amount of steam. If you are a fan of Cassi's then you are going to love this book. First time reading a book by Cassi let me tell you are in for a real treat. I am so excited to read the next book in this series.

I’m never disappointed. This book also had a bit of humor. And the family from Hell.
Can we talk about…: The cover? I don’t know what is up with the cover model, but it looks like someone badly photoshopped the body hair and missed some spots. Also, those abs just don’t look right. If you’re going to spring for a cover, make it a good cover. Or I’ll complain about it like it’s my job (which I guess it is. I love my life!).
Verdict- enjoyable, like the bowl of buttered popcorn you have to have at the movies. Fans of Olivia T. Turner will love Cassi Hart.

Camilla Greene was the spare heir , her twin was the princess in the family , Camilla an afterthought … organising a family thanksgiving dinner that everyone bails on , she cooks for herself. When she starts a fire , Damien , now a firefighter steps in to save the day. Not any old stranger though, he’s the Greene family’s ex pool-boy from eight years ago , he’s no boy anymore… phew is it hot in here? ( and not the kitchen afire sort). He disappeared years ago and now he’s here in her home. She was his princess , the shy and quit beautiful twin with a lovely soul. Damian Sharpe rescues her after she’d passed out from the smoke , taking her to hospital . Her parents too busy berating her to ask if she was ok. But the fireman cared and he took her to his place from the hospital to cook her a proper Thanksgiving dinner . They have a wonderful night together .Her parents turn up with the police wrongly accusing him again as they had all those years ago when they accused him of theft. This time it’s kidnapping….. can Camilla lose the hold her family have on her heart and give it to the one that has always been the most worthy of it? Absolutely love this . Camilla was always second best in her family. Her older twin sister got all the attention and praise while Camilla was put down and ignored. This year she made one request and that was for her family to have Thanksgiving together. They all agreed but when she woke up Thanksgiving morning, she was home alone. Her parents went to her sisters house because she was suffering from morning sickness. Camilla tried to cook the dishes that the chef made ahead of time but somehow a fire got started. Camilla lost consciousness before she got out of the house. Luckily she was rescued by Damian the firefighter. Camilla has had a crush on Damian since he had the job as their pool boy when she was a child.
Damian always felt a kinship with Camilla. Her family treated them both horribly. His job as a pool boy ended badly when Camilla's mother accused him of stealing a piece of jewelry. He did is time and now works as a fireman. He is very surprised to be called to Camilla's house for a fire and to be able to rescue Camilla from the fire. It’s hard to believe that there are families as 💩 as the FMC’s family, because they were like despicably awful. I definitely felt for the FMC, and just wanted her to have a different life.
I liked the MMC, he was weirdly awful to her after saving her, which felt out of place to me, but I’m glad that he at least realized he was being a d-bag.
Once they truly came together, it was lovely and I was happy for them. I wished there would have been some karmic justice for her parents and what they not only did over the years to their own daughter, but also the poor MMC who got a ridiculously raw deal. I mean, there were repercussions, but not what they deserved.
Things had a sweet ending and I’m glad how things turned out 🥰. It wasn’t my fav in the series, but I still enjoyed it and recommend the story and highly recommend the series!! (Including the free story).

It’s hard to believe that there are families as 💩 as the FMC’s family, because they were like despicably awful. I definitely felt for the FMC, and just wanted her to have a different life.

Camilla and Damian's story is somewhat of a second-chance romance with a dash of a chance encounter. Their story develops quite nicely and quickly once they meet again when Camilla is in a fire and Damian is there to rescue her. Once they know who they are for each other, they can't stop thinking about each other. Camilla had a massive crush on Damian when he worked for her family, and Damian fell in love with her the moment he saw her again. However, he felt compelled by her when he was younger and she was a teenager. They have some very steamy scenes together and quickly fall in love again. They are completely head over heels for each other. Now that they are together, will their relationship survive the secrets around Damian's disappearance back in the day? Or will those secrets keep them separated?

He was the former pool boy who worked for Camilla's parents and was fired for something he didn't do. Camilla didn't know and thought of him constantly. When he meets Camilla again and sees into what a beauty she has grown, his whole life changes. He fell head over heels for her and saved her from her terrible parents. Instant love with steamy loving scenes. A great story!.

Camilla just wants the love and attention her parents give her twin sister (who is older by a whole minute). They act like she doesn’t exist most of the time and it’s very heartbreaking. When Camilo comes home from college break during Thanksgiving, she tries her best to make dinner for her family. Unfortunately it doesn’t work out and her childhood crush comes to the rescue after not seeing each other for 5 years. He has a secret she never knew about and once he reveals it she feels responsible even though it wasn’t her fault. This book broke my heart twice after finding out about how her parents are towards her and her hero, Damian. Cassi never disappoints by the way in the spicy department of her books 🥵🌶️❤️🔥

When she gets up Thanksgiving morning and the house is quiet, Camilla wonders what is wrong. She finds out that everyone is at her sister's house because she has a stomach bug. Camilla decides to cook dinner herself and sets the house on fire. Who comes to rescue her but a former employee of her family, now a firefighter, Damian. What follows is intense and spicy and Camilla learns that she does have a place in at least one person's world.

What can I say, another great read by Cassi Hart.
Camilla is a twin who just wants to celebrate Thanksgiving with her family. She’s a terrible cook and therein starts our heroine finding herself in a very dangerous situation requiring the fire department.
She is rescued by a handsome firefighter Damien. This story has some twists and turns from both of their pasts. I don’t want to give away too much of the plot.
It was a little dark in the way he handles her after the fire. She was through a huge trauma already that day, so that part of the book was a little tough to take.
I’m a fan of Cassi’s books. This was another great book.

Damian was imprissoned for a crime he didnt do no thanks to camilles family and although she was the only one on his side and kind seeing her again stirs different feelings but could these two from opposite sides of the track make it for the long haul? well written steamy engaing fast paced quick read.

Big Grumpy Fireman is hot, hot, hot!!! Camilla is sweet, kind, and caring even though she was emotionally and verbally abused by her parents growing up. Damien is a sexy protector who always saw her and comes to get rescue. The chemistry between the two is fire, and their slow burn long time attraction flares to life in brilliant glory. The villains are villainy and the hero definitely delivers. Loved this short, steamy read!

Damien and Cami were perfect for each other. Damien recognized early that Cami was special years before. But fate has a way of bringing two people perfect for each other back together. Her family was atrocious... her only saving family was her sister, Kate, and I think she just did to keep peace... I want her story.
Love Cassi's book cause there is just enough information to keep you interested and to know that this is not only a quick read but very very good read.

What can go wrong when making Thanksgiving dinner for those that do not care? Camilla has strived to make her parents proud or even care for her but even a fire that puts her life in danger doesn't change that. However, the fireman turns out the be the boy she once loved, but Damian is still angered over the past with her family. Truths will need to be revealed and realizations set for everything to be cleared up and love to survive.

I thought that this was an ok book. For some reason, I wasn't able to connection with Cami or Damian. I didn't feel as though they a true connection. Yes, there was chemistry but the everything else seemed to fall flat for me with this book. Just because I some issues with this book doesn't mean you should try it, do it and you may love it.

Thanksgiving is a holiday you either love or hate. Camilla hates it until she's reunited with the only man she's ever loved. Granted their meeting again could have been under better circumstances. I love his fierce protectiveness over her and she needs it to protect her from her toxic parents. The story is filled with steamy scenes and guaranteed to make a few hours of your Thanksgiving enjoyable.

This is another great read for the series and this time we follow Damian and Camilla to a fab HEA. She's not got the best home life, despite having wealthy parents. He's a fireman that rescues her from a kitchen mishap that resulted in a fire...yeah, she's that bad in the kitchen. Lol! Upon seeing her, and hearing her story, he invites her to his home and hopes she won't leave. I loved these two together and am really enjoying this whole series :D
