Safety: Y, meaning no s. violence or cheating. HEA.
Triggers- Explicit Erotic Content, Fire, More Explicit Erotic Content, In Laws From Hell.
Tropes- Welcome to the Trope-icana. We have snacks. The many tropes include Everyday Heroes, Firemen Are Hot, Dysfunctional Family FTW, Grumpy/Sunshine, Five Alarm Heat, Uptown Girl/Downtown Boy, Secret Crush, Instalove, She’s All Grown Up, Virgin Heroine, Breeding Kink. It’s all very OTT.
What I liked- when I sign up to review a Cassi Hart, I know I’m going to get an OTT romance with an Alpha Male who has a breeding kink, a heroine who is probably a virgin, Instalove, lots of hot zexytime, more hot zexytime, no cheating, and a HEA. I’m never disappointed. This book also had a bit of humor. And the family from Hell.
Can we talk about…: The cover? I don’t know what is up with the cover model, but it looks like someone badly photoshopped the body hair and missed some spots. Also, those abs just don’t look right. If you’re going to spring for a cover, make it a good cover. Or I’ll complain about it like it’s my job (which I guess it is. I love my life!).
Verdict- enjoyable, like the bowl of buttered popcorn you have to have at the movies. Fans of Olivia T. Turner will love Cassi Hart.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
