Oh wow! I am obsessed!
I LOVED THIS SO MUCH! 😍
This book really makes me think of Sicko by Amo Jones (but make it RH) which is my absolute favorite standalone.
So I'm a big fan! ❤️
The writing style was really good, it was fast paced.
The way this story kept me on my toes, wow... I normally don't like slow burn but this one was so good the story kept me intrigued that I just wanted to keep reading it.
I can't wait for the second book to come out because I need to know how this story will go, I can't be left hanging here. 😭
I will be going through all Melinda her books right now because I just have a feeling she will become one of my favorites. 😍

This book is definitely not for me. I mean, it has lot of similarities to Lords of Pain. I absolutely loved that trilogy and damn I cannot ever read it again, because of the emotional toll it took. But this one, ugh- betraying body syndrome. Loving actually one of H’s but he is too pussy to step up and claim her. At least LOP she was disgusted by them for real and had a trauma what her stepbrother did for real and she escaped and went far fucking away from them.
This one… well. You want your stepbrother, but then you don’t? Decide, for fucks sake- yes or no?
She actually has strong feelings towards Rome and he also has strong feelings towards h but, her stepbrother did a pact not to touch her at all. And Rome did not! This is a pussy beta man not worthy of her. This was just so fucking ick I even cannot. And, I am so sure Rome was so sad since 13 when they made it or earlier , then he fucked a lot of women. 100% he’s not virgin. I am okay with dudes banging around but he has basically loved h his whole life and he should have said fuck you to Sin and gone loving and treating h well , but he didn’t so he is as pointless as rest of them.
God, that part made me rage. And obviously, h is virgin because Sin, her stepbrother is scaring all men away. I honestly, just can’t. I love books where h is virgin but I have to say I wanted her to lose her virginity in a gang bang and show middle finger to all three H’s.
So, she loses her virginity to her stalker, she screams no but thinks yes!? That dude killed her cat and she’s having sexual thoughts about her stalker?
Anyways, this book is not for me. Whatever is their love outcome has been killed in first 40% of the book.

Dark academia, mafia, a stalker and three hot men in love with her and one is her psychotic adoptive brother who’s a little somno-freak? Say fucking lesssss. This was a fun wild read and I can’t wait for book 2!

This had a very gripping start so I was hooked immediately, however I really wish the TW list mentioned that this had rape in it. I did not like the way rape was lowkey romanticised in this… it was unnecessary and a major ick. Other than that, the plot was quite enthralling with the mystery stalker. The suspense had me feeling so anxious! The cliffhanger ending makes me want to know more👀
Sin was a major asshole. Lowkey the devil incarnate. He was so jealous but refused to acknowledge he had any sort of feelings for Monroe but then would treat her like crap to cover up his feelings. Rome was a sweetheart compared to Sin. I was rooting for him so hard! He was in love with Monroe but was too afraid to take the leap. Chaser was a total flirt! He was so charming & fun! The tension between Sin & Monroe was the most palpable. I loved the flirty banter & wit between Monroe & Chaser. And I loved how cute Rome & Monroe were together & how desperately they wanted to be together but weren’t allowed to.
I’m keen to see how each of these relationships develop even more in the next book because we really only got to see Rome and Monroe as a couple in this supposed reverse harem👀

Obsessed!!!! My hand slapped my mouth so many times! I was shocked at the messed up stuff Sin said & did to Monroe! This why choose was done so well! I got know and love all the boys, and it was a bit of a slow burn, she wasn’t hooking up with all the boys & you got a really good look at her feelings for each of the boys. There’s a stalker that’s been messing with her and we don’t know who it is, the boys are having none of it and don’t want anyone even near her. It ended in a cliffhanger & I’m going to be so impatient waiting for the next one. I loved everything about this one

My first read by Melinda and it did not disappoint in any way.

When Monroe was young her parents were killed in front of her and her parents best friends the Vitiello family took her in as their adopted child. Growing up Monroe wanted to go to the same university her mum had attended even though it was away from her best friends Rome and Chaser and adopted brother Sin.
When things take a turn all Monroe’s plans change and she is forced to go to Sable Lake University and live in the same house with the boys.

I AM OBSESSED!!! Ohhh Wowww…
These characters are absolutely mesmerizing,! , I love Monroe, Chaser, Rome, Sinisa! I love the darkness in the book and the morally Gray, it’s the type of book I’ve been looking for, for so long, and I can’t believe that someone actually wrote it and this is the first time I’ve ever read anything by Melinda Terranova and I am now one of her biggest fans!!! Literally Beginning to end your heart will be racing. It is just lush, hot with that touch of psycho and it just blew me away. I cannot wait for book 2 , I have already pre-ordered and I really really hope she surprises us and it comes out earlier cause I really love this whole world that she pulled me into and I don’t want to leave BTW, The Thrilling Anticipation is Delish!!!

July 30, 2024I couldn't finish it. It was just too infuriating. I made it 44% of the way through before I had to give up.
It started off fine but quickly became annoying when the other guys were actually introduced and talked about.
So, the main girl, Monroe, has three guys [Sin, Chaser, and Rome] in her life. She's in love with Rome but still likes Chaser and hate Sin, who is the son of the family who took her in after she lost her parents.
Sin acts as though he hates her but is clearly obsessed with her, Rome is obviously in love with her but refuses to take the plunge because of some deal he made with Sin, and Chaser is in the same boat as Rome.
The problem I have here is that these guys still screw around with other girls while pining after Monroe and telling her they can't do anything with her which ultimately leads to her stalker getting to her first. And that moment makes little sense.
Allow me to set the stage: they are at a costume party and after Rome rejects her [again], she decides to say screw it and lose her V-card her way so she heads for the first attractive guy in the room. She takes him upstairs, he disappears saying he'll find a condom and be back and she ends up in a pitch black room where her stalker finds her and proceeds to ... take matters into his own hands, regardless of her obvious non-consent. And when he's done, the chapter ends and the next chapter picks up a few days later with her adoptive mom driving her to the frat house where she will be living with the guys and according to Rome after, she just disappeared after he rejected her. I'd like to point out she had come with a friend of hers so I'm assuming she was also that friend's ride? Assuming she went with the guys, Monroe just up and left [which is fair after what happened] and then is MIA for the next few days until they meet again at the Frat?
Oh, and those girls they have been screwing while pining for Monroe, yeah, Sin has a girlfriend[?] who is clearly seeing often since he made her queen of the Frat. And then that same night sneaks into Monroe's room while she sleeps and ... enjoys himself without going all the way.
I feel like I might like the book more if I had more of the guys POV, especially Sin's, since the only ones from him we really get are when he sneaks into her room and little else. Rome and Chaser get a couple out in the world but none with Monroe, always when they are away from her. And I'm not the biggest fan of Monroe.
I also hate the "cheating" trope and this feels like a cheating trope. I always get the ick when the main character is with someone who is not their endgame and said endgame is right there and both obviously want each other. It has always bothered me so knowing the three guys are supposed to be with Monroe and are screwing other girls and Sin is flaunting his girl around in front of her, I just get sick to my stomach and get a headache. I get too attached to books and get too wrapped up in them 🙈
It's bad when I start to prefer the stalker and the guy who I suspect is the stalker over the three guys she's supposed to be with.
Onto try and find a new book to read after dropping two books in a row and three in the last two months. I hate dropping books but I just cannot handle the stress this book is giving me. And I read Haunting Adeline and loved it!

This book was titillating, exciting, addicting and mouthwatering H.O.T.!
Sin, Rome and Chaser are boys you don't want to mess with because of not only their background but because they are also unhinged especially when it comes to Monroe. Monroe was adopted by Sin's parents as a child and was brought up with them. All three are in love with her but for some reason, Sin seems to harbor some hatred towards her too and has prohibited his friends from getting near her in a romantic way.
Monroe is looking forward to attending college away from the guys but then she ends up getting a stalker and Sin's father, Raphael has told her that she needs to attend the same University as the boys so they can keep an eye on her. Little does that help because her stalker seems to have followed her to the new University!
That ending though!! I was left with still trying to turn pages that didn't exist. I am so over this cliffhanger and I just finished!

Wow. I wasn't expecting to cancel my plans and read until I finished this book but here we are.
Monroe is a woman who was raised by a mafia don and his family, alongside her adoptive brother Sin. What a name, coz he is the epitome of sin. This is a bully-type of romance and as much as I don't like them, this one did speak to me through the other characters.
Sin is evil incarnate, fighting his obsession with Monroe in the only way he can - by being an A-hole to her.
𝑰’𝒎 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇**𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑰’𝒎 𝒅𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆.

I picked up Sinister ahead of the Dark Delights Book Event, drawn in by Melinda Terranova’s stunning racy hardback special edition—and wow, am I glad I did. I went in completely blind, and from the very first chapter, I was hooked. Melinda throws you straight into the action, and from that point on, I was in a literal chokehold until the final page.
Welcome to the world of the Vitiellos—fast-paced, dark, and dangerously addictive. Sin, Rome, Chaser… and a stalker? Holy mother of hotness, where do I even begin? This book is packed with intensity, twists, and chemistry that burns right off the page.
As an Aussie indie author (she’s local to me!), Melinda Terranova absolutely killed it with this one. Her writing style is sharp, fast-paced, and addictive. Her storytelling is bold, unapologetically dark, and brilliantly delivered. I actually enjoyed this book more than I thought I would considering it contains 🍇 and NonCon. The story was really interesting and kept my attention throughout. There was a constant air of not knowing the full story in a lot of situations and it is very clear that there are a LOT of secrets yet to be revealed.
I am looking forward to the sequel, which thankfully after that ending is scheduled to be coming out very soon!

Gah, this book is amazing!
Man, all I can say is this book gripped me from the beginning and wouldn't let go. This book is dark and twisted in the best way. Please read the triggers.
Monroe watched her parents be murdered at a young age. Shecwas then adopted by the Vitiello family. Sinisa is her adopted brother who likes to make her life miserable and truly acts lile he hates her but he is hiding some depraved things. Chaser and Rome are both of their best friends and Monroe has crushes on them especially Rome.
Monroe plans on doing a road trip and going to college far away but her stalker does something crazy and Papa V tells her she has to go to Sable Lakes and live with the boys so they can watch her.
So much happens in this book and it is so good. This book is definitely dark and has me questionin my sanity but I am so loving it and the guys are hot. That cliffhanger Melinda just about had me throwing my Kindle. I need tje next book like yesterday. Such a great read and can't wait for the next one.

Monroe watched her family die, then was adopted by the family closest to hers and her life has been uncomfortable since. Her new family might be in the mob, have lots of money and leave her wanting for nothing but her stepbrother clearly hates her and likes to make it known. She's also pretty sure she has a stalker but at least her stepbrothers friends seem to want to protect her.
This was a dark mobster/stalker romance that did not disappoint. There were quite a few scenes that I had to pick up my jaw from the floor after reading and a couple that brought a few tears to my eyes. Melinda plays with a lot of triggering elements and taboo style spice in this book but she manages to balance it really well with the main story. There is suspense, there is emotional turmoil, there is character growth and there's a cliffhanger at the end so you can bet I'll be reading the next book.
As I mentioned there's quite a few dark scenes and triggering elements so look into those prior to reading.

First time picking Mel’s books and yep…I’m in! Her writing is easy to fall into and the characters felt real in that messy, flawed way I love. What really got me though, was the way she explored the aftermath of trauma. There’s a rawness to how she handled the emotions around surviving @ssault…it hit hard, and from an angel many would not consider but it was done with care and a raw truthfulness I appreciated m.
Now, the boys? Not gonna lie, they had me rolling my eyes more than once. I just wanted a bit more from their POVs…some extra depth to really feel what was driving them. And a little more detail in some of the scenes would’ve made a few moments hit even harder.
That said, I flew through this. It’s dark. It’s twisted. It’s unapologetically taboo.

Monroe grew up with Sinisa, Chase, and Roman, but Sinisa hates her. She was going away for college, but she has a stalker so she is sent to Sable Lakes with the rest of her friends. Monroe is attracted to Rome, Chaser, and Sin even thought she fights it. They are attracted to her but won’t do anything with her, and no one else is either. The stalker followed her to Sable Lakes and is getting closer. Can Sin, Chase, and Rome protect her and will they admit to wanting her ? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book. I absolutely love Monroe, Sin, Chase, and Rome and their dynamic. Great supporting characters. This book has twist and turns, nonstop action, angst, and the spice is so good. I read this book in a day couldn’t put it down. Read your trigger warnings and this book ends in a cliffhanger. Melinda is back and I can’t wait to see where she takes us in this new series

This was so incredibly fun to read I love those types of books where you just have the best time reading them .
I’ve also never read anything by Melinda but after this i definitely will be because sinister was so good i throughly enjoyed the whole concept of it especially the frats that made stuff so much more interesting and literally had me seated.
The rh in this was everything like omg Rome that man is everything to me. I also love chaser he was a sweetheart and sin ….well he’s sin love him too kinda but I’m very very interested to see how the relationship develops as this series progress because right now sin has some work to do but especially after that cliffy.
I also adore the friendship between monroe and sasika they were everything to me and i definitely see so much potential for a story with sasika but her and roe make the perfect duo i always perked up when they were together and weirdly enough i actually loved Monroes friendship with some of the frat guys( Melinda please don’t make them evil so i have to eat my words later)
But honestly just had such a fun time reading this hence me finishing it in a single sitting because i just had to know what happens next and after that cliffhanger yeah i need book two like tomorrow im so invested in this series

Dark , Raw and Gritty , Suspenseful, intriguing, steamy , stalkers , adoptive Siblings , RH , Forbidden, College Frats , Bully , Morally Grey Hero’s . Monroe , Sin, Chaser and Rome ( OMG I truly am obsessed with each and every character) from page one I was hooked and devouring every single word to the point I actually lost track of time . Going through so many different emotions everything from speechless to yelling outta pure frustration, to feeling like my heart was literally beating outta my chest to breaking and rooting so freaking hard . Sinister is like being on the wildest ride at rhe amusement park - true emotional rollercoaster that grabs onto you so tight and refuses to let go . Each character is so unique , so captivating, so complelx and so wonderfully written I can guarantee you’ll become 100% invested and falling hopelessly in love . I started reading Sinister Late Last Night and to say no sleep was had would without a doubt be a huge understatement.

Whilst I did like aspects of this book, it personally felt a little like a 2nd book, if that makes sense? I feel like there was a lot of information I didn't have that the characters seemed to just talk about without much explanation, and maybe there are other books in this world i haven't read and that's why, but I wish something would have been said before I started if there are.
that being said I did still like the book, especially Rome and chaser, though again I feel like the book starts right in the middle of their friendship and talks of promises etc that the reader is just left to infer about. Even a small flashback to when the promises were made would have made the book so much easier to follow in my opinion.
I also feel like the trigger warnings should be adjusted as it only really mentioned cnc in terms of consent and I feel like what I read was definitely not cnc and more just nc.

This book starts off super hot and heavy. But the FMC Monroe isn’t even awake for it. But damn, Sin is hot, he’s brutal, unkind and basically not a good guy. But the chemistry between him and Monroe. That’s intense and it’s something you feel as you read every word of this stunning first book in Melinda Terranova’s new series. Rome and Chaser are Sin’s best friends and they’re also Monroe’s best friends. Yep, her BFFs are also her adoptive brother’s BFFs.
After an incident where everyone in her life discovers Monroe has a stalker, she’s basically sent to the same university as Sin and her friends, forced to live in their frat house. All the other guys in books are nice to her, treat her well. Don’t see that often but the guys are good. Sin, Rome and Chaser? Well they’re morally grey.

This book starts off super hot and heavy. But the FMC Monroe isn’t even awake for it. But damn, Sin is hot, he’s brutal, unkind and basically not a good guy. But the chemistry between him and Monroe. That’s intense and it’s something you feel as you read every word of this stunning first book in Melinda Terranova’s new series. Rome and Chaser are Sin’s best friends and they’re also Monroe’s best friends. Yep, her BFFs are also her adoptive brother’s BFFs.
After an incident where everyone in her life discovers Monroe has a stalker, she’s basically sent to the same university as Sin and her friends, forced to live in their frat house. All the other guys in books are nice to her, treat her well. Don’t see that often but the guys are good. Sin, Rome and Chaser? Well they’re morally grey.

I am sad I have to wait so long for the next book. Ends on a cliffhanger with Monroe facing her stalker. There are a lot of unanswered questions, and clearly there is more going on than we see.
Things I need to understand, is why everyone is so okay with an entire frat just disappearing, and new people replacing them. How did the boys that took over the frat get chosen, as clearly they are not all in on the family business. How do the queens of the frats get picked...
The obsession Monroe cultivates with no clue is intriguing. Why do all the men around her want her that much. Which ones are willing to chase her and not let her get away?

This is Monroe’s story. She lives with her adoptive brother Sinisa and best friends Rome and Chaser while they attend Sable Lakes University. There’s so much going on in this book from the first page all the way until the last. I couldn’t put it down.
I can’t get enough of Mel’s books and her newest release is so good. I love dark romance and this hits so many of my favorite tropes.
