Against all odds, Jett Lasting survived his exile in the Outlands. The tides are shifting but the conflict is far from over. If he’s ever going to return home and free Dios from the clutches of the Patriarch, he’s going to need help and lots of it. Everyone offers it. Who can he really trust? What good is trading one tyrant for another?
The domes are failing. This new revelation forces a choice worse than any he’s ever faced.
Tyler has loved writing and storytelling since he was old enough to scribble ideas down on a notepad in class. Whether it is crafting ideas on the world, sharing beliefs, or imagining other worlds entirely, Tyler is passionate about the power of words and stories to change lives. He writes both fiction and non-fiction and has published books in both.

𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬 The 3rd & last book of the Outlands series picks up after a major cliffhanger in book 2. Jett Lasting, the leader of a rebellion must choose his allies wisely. He has experienced betrayal, loss & the heavy weight of guilt & failure. This is his final stand, his chance to take down the Patriarch once & for all. He can’t do it without His friends & allies, but who can he trust?
𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 This book has so many great elements that blend together. It was fast paced & full of adventure with surprises at every turn. I loved that the plot was wrapped up in a meaningful way with no loose ends. There were times I cried & was just shocked, but there were a lot of happy tears as well. This story has SO MUCH HEART. I really feel Jett is such an iconic character. Spike became my favorite character!
𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 There is a good balance of elements in this series overall. It has a strong plot, characters, relationships, back stories, shock factor, action, some parts that make you angry/sad/shocked. I was attached to it immediately & it has become one of my favorite series.
𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 At this point we know all the characters in the main group & we get to enjoy some humor & back & forth between them all. There is a bit more development for some & while I love how crazy Kane is, Spike becomes my favorite side character. Jett has some moments where I want to scream at him but he is overall such a likable & moral character. He really makes the perfect leader.
Wow “Murphy’s Law “certainly makes the light at the end of the tunnel, seem freaky far away. There’s some interesting politics in gaining allies to try and free Dios from the Patriarch. There’s traps, being hunted, betrayals, leading to slaughters, and a great backstabbing. As I was approaching the end of the book, I was having a hard time trying to figure out the ending and feeling like there’s got to be more to the ending than just these last few pages. But the ending is very fitting for this trilogy. This trilogy has, survival, rebellions, unique creatures, tribes, marauders, the unwilling hero, the All Father, and lots of action.
Wow. Just wow. That’s the first thing that comes to mind when I think about The Seeds of Redemption. Closing the final chapter of this saga felt like saying goodbye to an unforgettable journey, and trust me, this book delivers on every level. After surviving the unforgiving Outlands, Jett Lasting is back, and his mission is clear: take down the Patriarch and free Dios.
The tension in this book feels palpable, even from the synopsis. and the whole thing with the domes falling? Total game-changer. I also love how this series doesn’t shy away from the gray areas of leadership and rebellion. Who do you trust when everyone has their own agenda? What’s the cost of freedom, and is it worth it? These kinds of questions elevate The Outlands Saga beyond your average dystopian story.
The adventure picks up as the characters make their way to a new domed city, which breathes fresh life into the world-building. The vibes? Immaculate. As always, the world-building is on point and one of the strongest elements of this series. You can tell a ton of thought and effort went into crafting both the Outlands and the domed cities. This attention to detail doesn’t just build a world that’s easy to get lost in, it raises the stakes and makes every emotional moment hit even harder. It’s not just about the plot, it’s about how every element of the story feels like it belongs.
Oh. My. Gosh. There were moments in this book that COMPLETELY FLOORED ME. Some moments were so intense, so unexpected, that I literally had to stop reading just to process what had happened. The way the author creates these twists into the narrative is masterful, they hit hard because they’re not just shocking, they also carry weight and meaning for the story.
And the characters? Oh man, they are EVERYTHING. Jett’s growth over the series has been incredible to witness. He’s not just a leader; he’s a fighter, a dreamer, and a deeply flawed yet lovable human being. And Spike? Oh, Spike. He stole my heart. His humor, loyalty, and personality added so much life to the story. He’s hands-down the MVP of this book, and I’m officially obsessed.
If I had to mention one tiny thing, it’s that this book takes its time to build up, with the pacing being a little slower than earlier books. But honestly? That slow burn is worth every second, setting up a powerful and satisfying payoff that’ll leave you breathless.
So, if you’re looking for a dystopian saga with heart, grit, mind-blowing twists, and characters you’ll never forget, this series is a must-read. The Seeds of Redemption is a perfect conclusion, thoughtful, intense, and deeply satisfying. Highly recommend this series to anyone who loves a story that stays with you long after you’ve turned the last page.
Oh my goodness, I cannot believe the level of detail behind this story. The planning and organisation to create such an intricate plot is amazing. Everyone has such a great and unique personality, I could really see each character as I was reading this. Absolutely loved it.
Wow Tyler Edwards definitely takes you on a journey in this series. He had me second, third, and fourth guessing myself. The world that Tyler has created is brilliant and it's bittersweet saying goodbye. I think its always hard to end a series but I definitely wasn't disappointed with how The Outlands Sage ended. I am disappointed that more people haven't read it yet though.
Fantastic conclusion to the series. Victor is still one of the smartest man out there and he always 20 step ahead of everyone. But I have to ask, was the loss worth it? There so many people, innocent people who will killed needlessly and Victor was basically directly responsible for many deaths. I feel in the end there should be some kind of strife with the friends, even if it all worked out in the end.
However, I enjoyed the book as it was, an end. Though I remember the author saying it might be four books but oh well, it was a solid end.
Jet, really grew as a character. I’m glad he was thinking more about people than his friends in the end because that’s development.
Action was always amazing and I did like how it felt everything was so close to working until it all crashed and burned in the end. Then finally working.
A great trilogy, I recommend the whole series for anyone looking for a sci-fi dystopian series. It’s fantastic!

The journey this trilogy takes you on is nothing short of insane. From book 1 where Jett is nothing more than an undesirable wishing for a better life to book 3 where he is front line of a revolution. The best of the dystopian genre came to play in this series and did not disappoint. Found family, the will to never give up the fight even when it seems hopeless and the reminder that nothing is ever quite as black and white as it seems. Edwards has earned a fan in me and I hope anyone reading this review will give his books a chance as well. (Even if rainbow shoelaces will forever make me cry now)
