I absolutely loved this book and this entire trilogy. Following along with Riley and Kai’s story has definitely been an emotional roller coaster, but in the absolute best way possible. E.K. Hunter truly has you feeling like you’re experiencing everything right along with the characters. I’m sad for this story to end, but this book finishes it up in the perfect way.

Overall, this may be one of my favorite mafia series. This one was my favorite book of the three.
Starts coming off the major cliffhanger from book two. I love how Riley almost finds herself in this one. Her strength and confidence shine in this part of the story. It’s a lot more suspenseful than the others and the emotion is heavy! I really enjoyed this book. So happy it had a HEA considering the entire storyline.
Can’t wait to read Sophia and Miles story. I’ve loved reading about their characters and there’s definitely some built up tension and suspected history there.

This is officially the trilogy on how I had my heart completely ripped from my chest…everything I could say about these three books wouldn’t be enough to explain how much I loved every page! I am so glad i found EK Hunter! Being a new baby author and giving us this!!! Bravoooo!! Now please give me more.

Final book in Hollows Bay Trilogy. Reading it was a complete emotional rollercoaster. I was on the edge with Kai and Riley throughout the whole book after the cliffhanger at the end of Implode (book 2), with how the story evolved with constant twists and turns coming their way, missing puzzles finally starting falling into the right places giving them a full picture of the past events. Realising that the enemy were closer to the house than suspected. It was a rocky and bumpy ride for them, filled with pain, grief, sorrow, loneliness and longing, at the end rewarding them with what they were exactly fighting for the whole time.
I loved Riley's transformation, her becoming the queen ready to fight for dominance and proudly standing next to Kai. The fact that she didn't bow down and accept Kai easily after the stunt he did to her. Get him to grovel and work for her forgiveness. Relight that spark and fire between them. Kai, as true Wolf, never gives up. Especially on his Star.

This book was an amazing end to the hollows bay trilogy. The book picks up around 6 months after the end of book 2 and shows us what strength Riley had had to embrace to deal with the events 6 months prior.
This book had in a chokehold, it keeps you on the edge of your seat and keeps you guessing.
There is a lot of new characters introduced, which some might argue is not always good for the last book in the series but I think it helps build this world I am hoping EK Hunter will continue to grow and give us all their stories - particularly Ash 🥵

OH. MY. GOD. First off, let me start by saying THANK YOU GOD WE GET MORE FROM THIS WORLD IN THE FORM OF MILES AND SOFIA BECAUSE I AM UNWELL AND NOT READY FOR THIS TO END!
This book literally takes you on a roller coaster- like gets you all nice and comfy and cozy and used to the new and BAM. Plot twists and turns and so much that was hidden (other than maybe one thing but that was because I have a hard time accepting things and I was not about to accept this particular thing was true) that the wind is literally knocked out of your chest as you read it and shake your head wondering how you missed the clues.
Riley is a force to be reckoned with in this book. With so much to overcome while dealing with the aftermath of losing Kai, she really comes into her own and grows into the strength she has always had deep inside but has never had the courage to use. Plus she becomes a serious bada** that I for one loved to see and really catches everyone off guard and takes them for the ride of a lifetime.
This is 100% one of my top 5 books of the year and I cannot wait to get back into this world and the Wolfe family when the time comes

Average read. Not the way I wanted that to end, but I'll take it!
I did love how riley came out of trenches to seek revenge, though. She needed to continue being in that element before they rushed Kai back to life.
Overall, it was meh! I definitely wanted Hendrix to suffer a little more.
The author does have plans to put something together with "Miles & Sophia," so I'm down for that spin-off.

In this book Riley had some character development, although she is still a brat and very annoying.
I liked how some things we read in the first book came back in this one.
I did not like the reason why Liam lied to Riley, it was very lame. Also, all these characters changing faces and sides faster than I can blink. It's giving me whiplash.

I have been eagerly waiting for this book as I couldn’t believe the ending on book 2! This book did not disappoint at all, I loved seeing Riley grow into the strong leader she needed to be despite dealing with her own heartache. Watching how her and Kai’s relationship changed and grew as she learned to forgive him was so good and I was glad she didn’t forgive him easily despite what her heart was saying.
This story had a great amount of action with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing and of course the spice was excellent. This was such a fantastic ending to Riley & Kai’s story and I’m sad it’s over.

My heart has been restored! E.K. Hunter is 100000% forgiven! 😂. What an explosive conclusion to a trilogy that was! I have ate this entire trilogy up!
Kai Wolfe still has my heart and I still love him. However. I fully loved seeing Riley becoming a total bad ass in this one! Her whole attitude changed by the end of the trilogy and I love that for her! She’s definitely one of my favourite FMC.
With both a badass MMC and FMC you can’t go wrong. This book and the entire series is so well written and gripping. It’s definitely in my top series of 2024 and maybe ever. I’m 1000000% reading this again!

OMG my heart is all over the place! This series was sooooo good that it’s embarrassing how fast I inhaled it. There’s so much drama, definitely some good laughs because our girl is full of sass but also more tears. All I know is I need more and so not ready for this to be the end for these two.

When I say this book ripped my heart out, put it back in multiple times and had me forgoing sleep for 2 days, I’m not kidding. This trilogy could not have ended better. All questions were answered, no stone was left unturned and thank God for hidden tunnels! 10/10!!

I loved book 1, I loved book 2. This book broke me, in the best way possible. If you have not read this Trilogy then I highly recommend you get them ASAP.

I read all three books and hands down one of the best series. I love everything about the relationship is built, how Riley comes into her and Kai learn to love again. The spicy just the right amount but didnt take away from the store.

AHHHHH!!! This author has gutted me with this series and all the best ways!!! I have laughed, I have cried, I have had to change my panties, I have yelled out loud at these characters but most of all, I loved each and every one of these books soo much, that I want to start them all over again. I rarely ever do that! The Hollows Bay Trilogy should not be missed. This is a dark, spicy mafia read that I truly could not put down. Explode, which is the third and last book of the trilogy was no less of an edge of the seat read then the previous two and in some ways was even more so. I love how this author has made me fall in love with all of the characters, even the secondary ones and now I need their stories as well. I can’t believe that EK Hunter is new to publishing as you would not know this from her writing and the depth of her story. Bravo EK, Bravo!!!

This book was the perfect culmination to this epic love story. I was skeptical because of how we were tormented and left so broken at the end of Book 2, but E.K. out did herself and was even so kind as to leave us a little teaser for more to come with some of our favorite supporting characters.

The only thing stopping it from being 5 stars is how often his nasty sexual past is mentioned and I don’t like his reason for the last betrayal pretending he was dead. All this emphasis on them being a team and that was not being a team. No cheating. Love the way he loves her.

Okay, this review is going to be short and sweet because I just can’t come up with the words.
I’ve done it. I’ve read the trilogy, and I live to tell the tale. Honestly, I was worried for a second.
Although part of me is jumping at the fact I now know the ins and outs of everything. I know what happened next … I’m kind of gutted it’s finished. How do I move on from Hollows Bay?
I will say, everything that occurs in Explode made it the perfect ending. Oh god, I don’t mean like and they lived HEA … hahaha, no. Life in Hollows bay will never be quite that easy. It was just, this book made sense.
Their story has come to a close. Can it truly ever end though?
If you haven’t already yet read this trilogy, I highly recommend it. It’s a dark romance, so automatically you know it’s good. Morally grey man, a powerful woman with claws, a whole lot of drama.
If you do happen to read it, come on in! Let’s talk about it together … I’ll cry again with you. Need to bite someone? I’ll lend my shoulder. I got you!!!

Huge shout out to E.K Hunter on this amazing and incredible Trilogy. It’s rare to find a good and decent mafia romance, well written and entertaining. And Hallows Bay is just that and more. Some fantastic cliffhangers, twists, surprises and mayhem through the whole series.
I’ve been coming across more and more new authors recently and E.K Hunter is another great find. I mean I’m a little down it took me so long to come across their work and now that they have me addicted to this Trilogy with the promos of Kai’s cousin and his story. I know I’ve definitely got a lot to look forward to.
If your like me and want a real man that is head of a gang, mafia, cartel. He treats his woman like a queen and keeps his word. Makes the city, country or world bleed. Doesn’t second guess himself. Isn’t scared to get his hands dirty. Loyal and actually has a heart. Kai is your man.
Riley hasn’t had the best upbringing and looking after her sister who is deaf. She’s gone from hell to trying to survive and keep a roof over her sisters head. When Kai offers a deal she couldn’t refuse, you know they were always meant to cross paths and get their hea.
I highly recommend this Series. It’s worth reading.

This is the third and final book in the Hollows Bay Trilogy and I am so sad it is over.
It starts out 6 months after that doozy of a cliffy from book two. Riley is stronger than ever and refuses to give up hope and get revenge for Kai.
The amount of twist and turns that happened had me in a chokehold. Just as I thought I figured something out, BAM something else. It was so well put together and flowed perfectly for their story.
I gotta say, I don’t wanna ruin it for others, but E.K you redeemed yourself but don’t put us through something like that again!!

This is the third and final book in the Hollows Bay Trilogy and I am so sad it is over.
It starts out 6 months after that doozy of a cliffy from book two. Riley is stronger than ever and refuses to give up hope and get revenge for Kai.
The amount of twist and turns that happened had me in a chokehold. Just as I thought I figured something out, BAM something else. It was so well put together and flowed perfectly for their story.
I gotta say, I don’t wanna ruin it for others, but E.K you redeemed yourself but don’t put us through something like that again!!

To say that I have fallen in love with this trilogy is an understatement from book one E.K Hunter has had me hook line and sinker her writing style is so easy to read and the plot is one of my favourites but these cliffhangers had me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book. E.K hunter I was pretty mad and heart broken with the ending of the last book but you out did yourself and gave this book the perfect end to Riley's story and I look forward to hopefully seeing some of the other characters getting their own book *wink wink*
This is the final book, and boy, does it have a kick ass start to the story. I went from being in tears to yelling at the book, but wow, the twists and turns in the final book were amazing, Riley is a kickass FMC, and watching her grow into herself and stand her ground had been a great read. I highly recommend you read the first two books as You'll not want to put this book series down.

Kai is dead and Riley must be the Queen she was always meant to be. Miles trains her and she steps into her role as she fights to take back over the city. She sides with the bianchis and gets them to agree to join her if Miles will marry Sophia. She brings in more allies, but when she finds out that Miles has been lying to her this whole time and Kai’s alive, she’s happy, heartbroken, and pissed all in one. Reunited but not happily ever after she and Kai fly to Florida to learn more about who Max Thorne really is. Turns out he’s not Kai’s brother but an imposter who killed the real Michael and took over his life. When they get back to the city, Miles and Kai put a plan into motion to kill Max/Simon and when they do he confesses they Hendrix was really the one to have killed Theo. Riley goes to a party at the Bianchis and while there Hendrix men kidnap Riley and Sophia. Riley gets a knife from Ernie and manages to stab Hendrix but Kai comes in from the hidden door and ends him. They get their HEA, but it ends in such a way that it leaves room for Miles and Sophia’s story to come.

It took me a little bit to figure out how I want to review this because holy hecking heck this conclusion to the Hallows Bay Trilogy is P.H.E.N.O.M.E.N.A.L. I cannot stress enough how amazing this entire story has been and Riley & Kai will be living in my head for a very very long time. It is a bitter sweet moment to realize that this is the conclusion to these characters and I am not entirely sure Im ready to be finished!
This book continues 6 months after Implode and be warned when I say that it will throw you through an emotional rollercoaster! Explode is absolutely an edge of your seat page-turner.

Please, please, please don’t let this be the end. Hollows Bay needs more and readers need more of Hollows Bay.. This book was everything readers wanted and so much more. Riley is devastated after losing her husband, Kai Wolfe. She doesn’t want to go on, but she has to. Especially after Miles tells her that Kai named her his successor. Hallows Bay was hers despite the threats that were coming from every corner. Max Thorne is trying to take Hollows Bay away from Riley. Max, Kai’s long-lost brother, feels like Hollows Bay is his birthright.
Riley comes into her own in this book. She turns into boss for the people of Hallows Bay. Riley and Miles go to great lengths to gain back support for the Wolfes again. Is Riley ready to take the throne by any means necessary? She creates alliances with an unlikely family. A family that no one would expect the Wolfe’s to align with. Will this alliance be beneficial to both families? Only time will time.

So frecking good! I’m obsessed with this trilogy!
I love Kai and Riley’s story, so interesting and beautiful. They truly were each other’s soulmates.
I was literally screaming when I found out Kai wasn’t dead!! Ahahhh I’m so glad he didn’t die! When he said “ hello star” holy shit I was dead.
The things Kai said to Riley were so profoundly beautiful:
“ she was my queen” rightly so!
“ star, I always said there could be no yin without yang, and that’s us. You’re the yin to my yang”.
It just says everything you need to know about how they feel about each other. They can’t live without them being in both their lives.
I can’t wait to read miles and sofias book, that is going to be so good!
“For Theo and Danny” that hurt! But I’m so glad Hendrix died the way he killed Danny. He deserved much more but it was a very good way of him going.
This book made me think at the song eternity by Alex Warren!

Explode is Book 3 of the Hollow’s Bay Trilogy and I wasn’t ready for it to end. I’m not going to tell you what happens because Im not a fan of spoilers. I will tell you that E.K Hunter knocked it out of the park with this Trilogy. The world building and character build is amazing. I 10 out of 10 recommend this Trilogy. I don’t know what the book equivalent to Stockholm Syndrome is, but I seem to get that a lot when I read books and this Hollow’s Bay Trilogy has given me one of the worse cases of it. I did not want this Trilogy to end. EK and I now have a hate/love relationship because of this Trilogy! Yes I said hate/love which is totally backwards but once you read these books you will totally understand why I said it the way I did.
