This was a very cute novella. It reminded me of Romeo and Juliette. The chemistry between the two main characters were great. Both were very strong. I enjoyed figuring out the mysteries. A good read.
CW: mention of death of loved ones, mention of knife/sword violence

This wasn't really anything to write home about. It was a solid historical romance, but there was nothing that really stood out to me in comparison to many other historical I've read in the past. It wasn't a bad book, don't get me wrong, it was well written and had a clearly defined start, middle, and end. There was just something missing for me. I think the chemistry between the MCs was lacking a bit and that was what threw me off.
