A steamy,medium angst,interesting read with likable characters. It was quite refreshing to watch friendship in their relationship eventhough what they agreed on was mistress/business deal. Main characters & secondary characters were lovable and epilogue was very good.

However, mending a failed "business arrangement", in an attempt for it to finally blossom into a real relationship, with a marriage proposal, does nothing for me. Au contraire. Call me weird.

Elena Sánchez y Chase Ramsey se conocieron desde su adolescencia, hasta que por x razón Elena terminó humillando a Chase y este creció con deseos de vengarse de ella, entonces un día, siendo adultos, aparece en su oficina Elena, quién le pide ayuda para salvar el negocio de su padre, Chase no duda en aprovecharse de la situación y le deja claro que la puede ayudar, con una condición; que está acepté ser su amante y lo acompañe a cenas de negocios siempre y cuándo él lo requiera.... Pero todo sabemos que donde se juega con fuego se terminan quemando.

Estuvo entretenido, no ha sido lo mejor que he leído en mi vida y las cosas sucedieron todo como muy deprisa y pues la verdad, se me hace tonta e inmadura la razón de Chase para vengarse de Elena, hay que ser bastante vengativo y rencoroso para recordar y devolver algo que pasó hace 20 años.

Libro cortito, fácilmente lo podrías leer en un día y pues si quieres una lectura corta y con un poco de drama, está es una buena opción.

Revenge is a beautiful thing, especially to Chase Ramsey. What started off as a normal working day only got better when Elena Sanchez walks into his office to plead with him to give her father more time to come up with enough money to save the family business before he finalizes the plans to take the company over.

Two decades ago, Elena's family was rolling in money, which made her act like a stuck up snob. Or that's what he found out about her after she publicly humiliated him at a party. Now he always remember the night he wasn't good enough for her to even talk too and vowed he would show her and her family.

Now, suddenly she's back in his life begging him to not take over her father's company and he can't fathom why after what she did to him that he still finds her attractive. Deciding to allow the attraction to take it's course he offers her to be his mistress an in exchange he will pause the company overtake for as long as she is his mistress.

Soon however, he starts to realize that she may be getting the last laugh. He can no longer see the spoiled, rich, selfish girl that humiliated him. The thing is, he's not ready to admit his feelings and ends up messing everything up at a business dinner. Now the question is how is he going to get her back?

4 Stars! ~ As a teenager Elena had been a rich, spoiled brat eager to please her equally spoiled friends. Egged on by her friends, she humiliated Chase at her parent's Christmas party, earning his hatred. Now nearly twenty years later, Elena needs Chase to hold off taking over her father's struggling business. Chase agrees under one condition; Elena must become his mistress for as long as it takes her father to pull his company back up. Entering into their affair, both discover that not only do they have a combustible chemistry, they feel right together. Over coming the past is a big stumbling block for Chase, until he almost loses Elena through his own arrogant behaviour.

You'll need a fan for this one! The heat written on the pages will scorch your fingers. It took Chase a while to figure things out, but he comes around beautifully. :)

This is the 2nd book I read nby this author. Whenever I see her name on a Harlequin I now buy them. She writes her characters with an added ump! She takes the standard Silhouette Desire themes and adds a little zest.

absolutely loved it !! der was nthng new abt the plot but it was beautifully written n the sex was awesome n the best part of the book actually. no intense emotions involved here, no melodrama nor big pain. a very light read n very good one at dat
