Johnny Walker brought his daughter's killers to justice--Dwarf Style. Time for a new adventure with his hounds by his side.
Our fave Dwarf is hunting monsters on his own time. That's Johnny's idea of fun. The only Fed along for the ride is Lisa, and even she's off the books.
But this adventure is more like a nightmare.
Shifters in the Everglades are going missing. Is it a feud between local packs or something more sinister?
Johnny and Lisa are on their first private case. A case that keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Old school Oriceran magic is at play. You know, the kind that has been banned because it's too dangerous. Even dark magicals don't touch the stuff. Does anyone still know the antidote?
Can Johnny and Lisa put a stop to the kidnappers and rescue everyone before it's too late?
Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore but I was born under a wandering star and have lived in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.
I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.
There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.
Another will written dwarf bounty hunter friends relationships adventure thriller novel by Martha Carr and Michael Anderle (Dwarf Bounty Hunter book five). Johnny Walker and Lisa start another wild adventure as they join with shifters to protect the Everglades. They travel to visit several of Johnny's friends too get things too help in the fight. I would recommend this series and authors too readers of paranormal fantasy novels 👍🔰. Enjoy the adventure of reading 👓 or listening 🎶 to Alexa read books 📚. 2023 😮👒😈🐕
Martha Carr and Michael Anderle and authors are favorites of mine. Happy reading in 2023 🌙 I really have to many series going must be 30+ what fun
Johnny & Lisa, Red & Luther plus Boots the Heeler, & a new crowd of magicals try to missing friends - all magicals as well. However, the problem is much bigger than they thought. Will Boots save the day? Will Luther, a Coonhound, ever get Boots to be his lady dog?
I love each installment of this series & look forward to the next! Will Johnny & Lisa ever hook up? What would their kids look like: short wide boys with Mohawks & delicate little ladies with wicked magical skills? Or would they all be headbangers with blue, green purple or pink hair & tinkerers, druids, or bounty hunters? The future could go so many ways.
Johnny and the dogs are back in the thick of mystery. Starting his own company should be no surprise to anyone, as we know about his reluctance to work with the FBI, except for a certain light elf agent, who he manages to convince to unofficially join him. The conflict between them is predictable as their styles don’t quite mesh, but fortunately, a case walks into Johnny’s front yard office...on four legs. Can Johnny find a missing owner? With the hounds as interpreters the case explodes. A great read.
When a blue Heeler dog turns up at Johnny's Everglades home, in terrible condition, starving and thirsty, his two Coonhounds start to question her, as Johnny fixes her up as much as he can.
It turns out that her Person, a Wood Elf, disappeared days before, leaving Boots alone without food or water - something totally unheard of in Boots' life, and so Johnny, and Lisa, start a new adventure, as they go on to see if they can find the missing Wood Elf.
What they start to find gets more and more stranger, as various Shifter packs report some of their people missing, too, and the subsequent journeys that Johnny, Lisa, Rex Luther, and a gathering of the Shifter packs make, will lead to a startling discovery!
I really enjoyed this book. There was plenty of action, and a ton of laughs, as Johnny, in his inimitable style, goes out into the world, determined to get to the bottom of this mystery.
That hadn't happened, by the end of this book, so I checked my Reading List and, fortunately, I need to go on to book number six: 'Dwarf it All', to find out what happens next.
When I do, find out I'll catch you on the flip side, and let you know what I think of it all!
I like the idea behind the series and i like the shared universe. I just can't figure out why I haven't already shelved this particular series. The most character development is the hounds and after 5 books, it seems like it is being written as a gaming module. How minimal of a story line needs to happen to fill up a couple hundred pages. For readers that enjoy Johnny, Lisa and the hounds, you may like this start of a new adventure. For others that are undecided, pick a different series in this wonderful universe.
Johnny and Lisa, a horny dog, shifter and an unkillable worm. How could that be interesting or exciting, right? Action and mysteries galore keep this moving non stop. Dwarf the Bounty Hunter has been addictive from the start and isn't backing off yet.
Lots of action, a little sexual tension, a heck of a battle to not be controlled.
Johnny and Lisa are visited by a hound that thinks her mistress is missing, which leads to shifters from two packs also being missing. It looks like the three kidnappings are connected, and Johnny and Lisa are square in the middle of a battle to find them and get them back.
By now I hope you have read at least one Oriceran book, but if not anything written by Martha Carr and Michael Anderle is a safe bet. This latest adventure of the Dwarf Bounty Hunter takes you to the edge of your seat in the twists that a supposedly simple job turns into an adventure that is dangerous and entertaining in typical Johnny Walker style.
Well that was abrupt. The rest of the series definitely set things up for later books, this was cut off in the middle with a cliff hanger. For those that don't like that sort of thing, be warned. Given that this is book 5, if you've been reading this far, you might not care.
Interesting story, but incomplete and probably shouldn't have been broken up into two books.
Cliff hanger!!!! How rude! I'm gonna have a word with the manager!! Book Book Book Book!!!!!! dang it you can't expect me to WAIT!!!!! Howard S (the S stands for Super Fan)
I've started and stopped a number of books the last few days until along comes Johnny again, thank you Michael. Yet another great Dwarf adventure, not to be missed.
Still the same sarcastic dwarf, with a partner. Missing shifters and a wood elf start the story. It grows into so much more. Another good adventure for Johnny and Lisa.
Oh man gotta leave us hanging at the end! I'm going to be waiting for the next one and I'm not exactly a patient sort darlin. I'd for right in with Johnny for sure! Keep up the great work Martha.
I have enjoyed this series immensely! Crisp dialogue, well written and developed character combined with fast paced action. I strongly recommend the series and I'm sure you'll enjoy it very muck. I'm looking forward to book six!
I highly recommend this imaginative, kick butt book, and the series and spinoffs thereof, to all readers who love reading paranormal fantasy. I love those hounds... Enjoy this lol series for an adventure to take you away from this challenging reality.
These stories are getting more fast paced and action packed as they go, so the next one I would expect to be even better. This was a blast to read and I recommend it.
I don't know but the books seem to be losing something as they go on. Playing up on a dogs stupidity is not making it happen for me. I don't think I am going to finish the series.
Well, Johnny is living the life.. and Lisa is along for the ride, as are the hounds. We're meeting quite a few people from the Everglades in this book, as well as a couple of Johnny's old, old friends. There's another dog hanging around as we!!
Really enjoyable. Johnny and His Hounds are very entertaining. I like Lisa(his partner) as the straight-laced Law Enforcement representative against Johnny’s wilder ways. The dogs were hilarious fun again. Love this series and these characters.
