Mirose (h) lives in the manor of dark elf Dirnyn but finds herself growing wary of him and his intentions towards her. She journeys into the forest where beastly shape shifting monster Atroc (H) is stalking prey when he scents Mirose, drawing his interest. He takes her to his cave, encircling her in his dark tendrils, where he tries to decide just what he wants with her. Mirose is both terrified of and curious about Atroc, but as they spend time together, things heat up between the two. But Dirnyn’s obsession with Mirose threatens to destroy Atroc and Mirose, and Atroc will have to protect what’s his, even if Mirose doesn’t yet know she’s been claimed by the dark shape shifting being. Ultra-hot and steamy monster-human romance with lots of action and violence.

Really? How stupid is she? She thought diyarn was her friend, who kept high tabs on her & continued telling her that she needed permission to go anywhere? Then is surprised when he tells her explicitly that she's his property & can't do anything, including tending to her sick sister w/out his permission? Yeah, okay, that just pissed me off honeslty. Making her that stupid & that unaware is just annoying

DNF at 40%. Writing is okay but character development and plot are sincerely lacking. Also felt like a sequel but wasn’t? I had to double check that it wasn’t a sequel in the beginning and few times because all the backing plot is described as if the reader is supposed to remember.

Mirose es estúpida.
Ajá, es un poco fuerte empezar la reseña con esa frase, pero es lo que hay. Es de las FLC más estúpidas que he leído. Y terca, encima. Cansina como ella sola. Que Dirnyn esto, que Dirnyn aquello... que en realidad es bueno, solo que está confundido... nah, para la mitad del libro, ya quería o que el monstruo se la coma (de verdad, masticando, no lo otro, que lo hace bastante seguido) o que el elfo la mate, porque es agotadora. Típico personaje femenino que se describe como muy bonita pero sin cerebro, solo agujeros interesantes.
No me gustan los personajes así. Me cansan y me aburren.
Solo terminé este libro porque es corto. El monstruo tampoco es la gran cosa: tan malo y oscuro y poderoso, y todo, y están a punto de matarlo varias veces. Se supone que es lo único a lo que los elfos oscuros le tienen miedo, y que estuvo encarcelado por eso, pero lo corren con una antorcha. O sea... WTFFF?
También eso: las autoras no se terminan de decidir. En un capítulo los personajes son de determinada manera con determinada personalidad, y al siguiente ya tienen otra, a veces, diametralmente opuesta. Muy WTF. Nadie cambia tanto solo por coger, gente 🤨
Encima, empieza onda continuación de otra historia, como para construir una gran... ¿elipsis? pero está mal logrado: me pasé horas buscando la historia anterior. Y eso es porque el efecto inicial de "introducirte" en la historia está mal hecho. Cuando me di cuenta, solo me dio fastidio. No interés.
Todo esto le resta puntos a la historia.
En fin, horas de mi vida desperdiciadas en esto que no volverán. No cometan el mismo error.

Atroc is a shadow monster that was just a shadow till he meets Mirose. She is a human that makes him feel. He hasn’t felt what she brings out and wants to keep her. They have a journey to overcome to find happiness. With her “friend” who is a dark elf causing ripples they need to cling to each other tighter.

Sweet Story!

My first from this author and I will be back for more! I loved Atroc and Mirose. I wish their story were longer! Excellent read if you love your monsters spicy, grumpy, and sweet!

Needs editing

It was a decent story. Not the smartest FMC but plenty of spice.
Way too many inconsistencies/continuity errors and typos.
I'll keep reading the series.
