Rory's Return

Rory, a 12-year-old gymnast and former Level 5 champion, is returning to Maple Hill Gymnastics. Rory took a year off from gymnastics while her mom recovered from cancer. Now her mom is feeling better, and Rory is back to practice, planning to compete Level 6 in the fall. Rory’s neighbors, the Gimbels, own a bakery in town. Rory is invited to help their granddaughter, Aimee, in the bakery. She enjoys learning to decorate cakes, dip donuts, and make bagel baskets. Rory is concerned when she hears that the Gimbels won’t be able to manage the bakery much longer. She can’t imagine Maple Hill without Gimbel’s Bakery. Will Gimbel’s Bakery survive? Can Rory still do all her gymnastics skills? Will Rory be ready to compete in the fall gymnastics practice meet? Is Rory still a champion?
