The author states, “the world I live in is diverse and inclusive and I would like that reflected in my writing. In my perspective, there are no limitations in love and relationships.”
Sydney loves to hike, bike and play badminton when she isn’t writing. She also enjoys eating fresh popcorn, watching foreign films and reading a good suspenseful mystery. Sydney lives in New York with her husband, two children, her cat and a new addition to her family, her late mom’s dog.
This was a fun mystery. I legit had no idea who was the culprit!
This author did a great job taking her time building the suspense and the layers that we had to peel back. We were learning things at the same time as our MCs which was nice.
There is a romance there but for some reason it didn’t 100% resonate with me.
The author always creates unforgettable page-turners that touch the heart and soul, and listening to this account is an incredible addition to the writer’s imagination, which features attention-grabbing, diverse characters, great channel of communication, and graphic settings. The narrator, Makeda Grant, who does a first-rate job in keeping the storyline stirring, makes the narrative so riveting. The plot reveals many twists and turns, secrets and lies, tragic loss, abuse of wealth, power, influence, sensuality, political, legal, and police intrigue. The sensual relationship and disagreement between Gina Rae, a top-notch investigator, and Tae Lee, the loving and caring detective, makes the story more stimulating. Still, the introduction of the mysterious player known as 62 will leave you speculating, slowly building up to an ending that will shake you to the core, and have you questioning, “How well do you know someone.”
The attacker is a surprise. Although, I did get suspicious that something was amiss towards the end but I was still shocked once all was exposed. I' liked Gigi and Tae. It was a slow read for me at first but I don't think that was the authors fault. I loved all the supporting characters and wanted more.
