Elizabeth Lucus works hard and makes little time for her social life. She writes under a pseudonym, Elsie Williams, and is a well known as a small town romance author. She has only her chosen sister that she allows close ever since her parents died. So, why has she spent the last two years talking online, in her favorite game, to a man she's never met? Surely, nothing could come from just talking. Especially since it might mean the end of her carefully hidden secret. When her special online friend reveals he is the creator of the online game millions of people play around the world, will it spell the end of their relationship? Can Elise find the courage to follow what feels right, even at the expense of herself? If these two decide to see if their relationship is more than just on the surface, will either come out totally unscathed?
I liked the story overall. I thought Elsie was very relatable and Bradley was really able to support her and meet her needs. I did feel like the relationship was a little rushed, especially at the end.
I did notice several formatting issues with the text though. There were a couple places where it was hard to distinguish if the MMC was thinking to himself or DM-ing the FMC. There were also inconsistencies with when avatar names were underlined vs. not underlined. It would have been nice for more consistency there. Also, there was a spot where the sentence was incomplete and it didn’t make sense. “I looked at my computer and noted that the time was ”. I think I would have been more interested if it wasn’t for these formatting errors.
