This was a very interesting read for me, as I have always been intrigued by the Amish lifestyle. This was written from the viewpoint from an Amish boy around the age of 6 which gave a good account of the lifestyle and the familial relations.
That being said, I wouldn't exactly go around recommending this book to anyone as a good read in itself. There isn't a lot of action or intrigue. Also because it was written as if a 6 year old was narrating it, the writing style is incredibly simplistic. Which is probably exactly how a 6 year old Amish kid would narrate. Maybe even a 45 year old Amish person.
Anyways. A fun read but not life altering.
