Revisit old friends from the Wyldhaven series in these seven historical Christmas romance novellas.Multiple townsfolk report thefts, and Sheriff Reagan Callahan is stumped as to who the culprit might be. Meanwhile, the women of the town are busy planning Christmas surprises for their menfolk—but not without challenges. The boots Charlotte wants to buy for Reagan are too expensive. Dixie goes into labor early, misses the deadline to pick up Doc’s sleigh, and her order is canceled. The saddle Liora ordered for Joe is stolen. And the horse Jacinda bought for Zane is wilder than a grizzly! Zoe has no idea what gift to get for her friend, Wash Nolan. And Aurora can’t figure out why Parson Clay isn’t thrilled with the puppy she got him. Through it all, Kin Davis is there, lending a helping hand to each family in need. He sure will miss Wyldhaven when he leaves, but he’s made up his mind, and nothing will convince him to stay—except maybe the new banker’s niece.
LYNNETTE BONNER, the daughter of missionaries, was born and raised in Malawi, Africa, graduated high school from Rift Valley Academy, a boarding school in Kenya, and attended Northwest University in Washington, where she met her husband, Marty. A few years after their marriage, they moved to Pierce, Idaho. While studying the history of their little town, Lynnette was inspired to begin The Shepherd’s Heart Series with Rocky Mountain Oasis. Marty and Lynnette have four children and currently live in Washington, where Marty pastors a church.
Oh this was such a delightful set of novellas. Really, it was a beautiful revisiting of all the couples from the Wyldhaven series so far and especially a deeper look at Kim Davis while also introducing a few new characters. I so thoroughly enjoyed this set and am excited to read more in this series. This is one of my absolute favorites historical series.
This was the perfect book to read to immerse myself into the Christmas spirit! I thoroughly enjoyed reading about all of the familiar characters, who felt almost like bumping into old friends, as well as the new characters who were introduced. Kin's generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand to all citizens of Wyldhaven, who needed his help in order to provide their loved ones with Christmas gifts, was very touching. I was especially moved by how determined he was to build a sleigh for Dr. Griffin himself when Dixie's original order for a sleigh from Seattle fell through. I couldn't help feeling teary when I read that Tommy, Parson Clay's charge, revealed to Kin and Preston that he had never received any Christmas gifts until they had given some to him. Sadly, this happens to far too many people during this time of the year. I kept hoping that Kin would change his mind and remain in Wyldhaven, but of course, as soon as he meets Cora, you KNOW he won't stay away too long.
I really enjoy the novels of the Wyldhaven series, but this one is my favorite so far! I really like how the author shares the gospel of Jesus Christ in such a way that you cannot deny the great love of God! This is truly inspirational, wonderful reading, easy to imagine you're right there with all the characters, so many comedic scenes and most of all, learning and knowing that the Word doesn't come back void. So, all Scripture that has been chosen in the stories stay in your heart with lessons to learn from it. Very good stories and wonderful romance that is felt deep in the heart.
I love this very Christian series! So refreshing to read a series written by such a Christian author. I just wish we could turn back the times in America when life was simpler and being a Christian was much more evident in our communities. The story line is awesome, if maybe a little unbelievable, how everything works out. Several times I catch myself laughing out loud with the humor the author brings out. If you like well written Christian storytelling you will love this series. Very entertaining!
These stories are only previews to the real story that is of course extra. While the writing isn't bad each story just gives the background to one or two people in the town of Wyldhaven. One story leads to another then another but none of them are completed . Basically they are unfinished soap opera stories-to be continued
This particular ploy is one of my biggest pet peeves and I've complained openly about it in many of my reviews Had I known I would never have bought this series of "novellas" I do not call an incomplete book a novella
I won't be buying the "true" stories and I will avoid buying anything by Lynette Bonner in the future.
Sorry, I do not care how good the book is or how well it is written, I will never give a review better than 3 stars if I am forced to buy another book to get the ending
A cute series of short stories that wraps up the previous books' tales of Kin playing Secret Santa, Wyldhaven style. Unwittingly, Kin lets it slip that he intends to go to the big city for a while, maybe forever, since he can't seem to stop binge drinking, can't seem to settle down, can't seem to settle up with God or his spirit, and is all at odds with himself. This leads to a party plus a series of invitations for dinner or to stop by, where people see him off with farewell mementos. There is a bit of a surprise at the very end of the book, involving a damsel in distress and a bitter, nasty old woman.
These Christmas novellas are absolutely wonderful. This author has a way of making you feel a part of each family and feel the love each one has to give. The way she incorporates the love of God in each one speaks to my heart. I so enjoyed these stories and have read each one in the series. When you read them and know the stories are coming to an end, you feel a little sadness and know you will miss them. So read them and enjoy.
I truly enjoyed these characters and all of the twists and turns. Lynnette Bonner is A great writer. I couldn't put these stories down. They each had a measure of redemption, romance & Scripture woven through. There was such Intensity &attention to detail. I can't wait to read any of her series. It was very unique to set each one to it's own novella. I can't wait for the next one. Thank You.
A few short novellas set in Wyldhaven bring the characters back with a plot woven through out all of them. We learn more about characters like Kin and Wash and Zoe and meet new ones plus reconnect with the MCs from the first 3 books we’ve fallen in love. Every story has a true Christmas spirit with sacrifice, love, and beauty of salvation in Christ presented. Warm feelings abound. And don’t skip readers note. So so good
I have read all of the Wyldhaven Series of books. Just finished A Wyldaven Christmas. I absolutely loved every one of these books. They are such uplifting stories and a lesson is learned \taught throughout every story. The characters were well developed and I couldn't wait to catch up with them every day! I have had such joy and peace with every book. These were my first Christian books I have read. What a fabulous experience.
I don’t have enough words to express how glad I am to have discovered and read this series of books. They were released 4 years ago but I know the timing was perfect. Just what I needed at this time. God bless you, Lynnette, and keep giving God all the glory.
Loved each and everyone of these stories. Looking forward to Kin and Cora story and also Wash and Zoe. I will have to go back and read a few before this one. Will read more by Lynette Bonner all had a good Christian message.Tell the next time keep up the good work Lynette.
Lynnette Bonner is skillful writer who brings her characters right into your living room. It’s like I know all of the people from Wyldhaven. They become friends and I can’t wait to hear more about the people and meet new people. God has truly touched Lynette. You can feel her spirit and everything she writes. It’s truly a pleasure to read her books.
Sweet, clean romances set in Washington state. Love the character development and the interaction of all the characters in this group of novellas. Can’t wait to read the future books.
I’ve read every book in the series to this point and they only get better as the lives of the small town intersect and grow.
This is a collection of Christmas novellas that all tie together. What a great addition to the series! I LOVED that this book is included with the series- and the author's messages between each novella was a Christmas present.
Wonderful Christmas stories! Love this series and these characters. Such a glimpse into so many lives. It makes you realize how truly intertwined most lives are! Great read!
I was disappointed with each book and how they seem to end undone. I just hoped it would all come together in the last book and for the most part it did. Good reads.
I love this series, and can't wait to read the rest. It was interesting to read about the different Christmas gifts and the roundabout way they got to their recipients.
I loved this book. As I have loved them all. I grew to love the characters more and more with each book. This is such a heartwarming book as you see Kin change for the better.
A delightful set of Christmas novellas weave the town of Wyldhaven together for the holidays. Horses, sleighs, apples, boots & puppies. I can’t wait for next book in this series. Enjoy!
These were the best books l have read in a long time. Good, clean, Christian, exciting books,a real page turner. When you finish one your excited to start the next. Lynnette Bonner is a great story teller.
I have enjoyed all of your books in this series so far. Your story lines are so wonderful with all the people in Wyidhaven. Can’t wait to read your next book to see who next will be married.
I am so thankful I’ve found this author! I have fallen in love with every single wyldhaven book. I have been convicted in some even. Thanks for writing such wholesome literature in a world full of sin.
This book is as sweet as Christmas presents and candy! What a beautiful way to present the Christmas story and the joy of having family and friends during the holidays. A treasure for sure!
The town of Wyldhaven has a heart the size of Christmas as the residents open their hearts to serve each other. Lovely little vignettes fill the pages of this Christmas collection. Each story focuses on the heart of Kin Davis.
This was by far one of the best books I've read in a while. It's written in a short novella type style and all of the different characters from the previous books have an appearance. Written around Christmas season it has one of the characters intertwined throughout all of the short stories.
Lynnette Bonner writes great, interesting, clean books. I am attempting to read all of her books. I am thankful that she continues to use her Godly calling.
