Four Calling Birds

I knew I owed the man a favor. But I didn't think this was what he had in mind. One of his agents was wounded, and needed a place to hide out. Apparently, my little farm out in the middle of nowhere would be the perfect place to convalesce.

He didn't tell me that the agent in question was my ex-wife. More importantly, she was no ex at all.

With some bad guys hot on her trail, hoping to finish what they started and execute my wife, I call in my old Special Forces team, and hope that we can get along just long enough to weather the coming storm. But god, we all have so much baggage. Everyone is at each other's throats. And only she can keep us together.

This book came out of the gate fast and didn’t let up! It was fast paced and very well explained to set up all the characters. The characters were all likable and I was rooting for them!

Charlotte and Mack’s relationship tortured but you knew immediately they were meant to be! And Mack standing up to his dad was awesome!!

I can’t wait to read the rest of Mourningkill series and learn more about the characters introduced here.

The audio for this book was soooo good!! I started it while at work and before I
Knew it, had finished it! In one day!

There was something about Mack and Charlotte that really captivated me! There were moments that made me laugh and some that made me sad. The antics with Bruce the buck cracked me up lol

def check out this book (or audio!) if you get the time!

You don’t want to miss having your ears on this
One exciting audiobook from start to finish !
Cole Eubanks and Molly Brair narrated with such great talents and passion as they brought the Characters to life!
With every single exciting twist and turn, emotional and humorous moment.
Not so jolly Christmas romance you won’t want to miss for sure!

Mack
✨He always wanted a big family. When his wife couldn’t give him one, she left, so he’d have a chance to fulfill the dream with someone else. He told her too late that the only thing he really wanted was her… that she was enough.
Now he’s alone, living like a hermit trying to forget what he lost.✨

Yup so he thought!

Then he gets a call from an army buddy, now spy, asking him to hide an agent after their cover is burned. To his utter shock, his ex wife shows up with a knife wound in her stomach, needing his protection.

Oh for sure Mac was pissed but on the bright side his ex had returned.
Despite a knife wound he found he still had strong feelings for her and would protect her with his last breath!

He calls up his old team, ready to defend her to the death, as he asks, “Who did this to you?”

Listen this Team is like no other as you will find out!
They should come with a warning!
But when said team found out who they are protecting is when things become more complicated.

Charlotte
Lotte is an undercover agent whose cover is blown, leading to her seeking Mack's help and protection.
Ohhh yeah not everyone was happy when she left Mac and that includes the children, and now that she is in for the fight of her life, she is now determined with finding out what happened with her children.. will they ever forgive her and can she fix whatever it is if they all survives this fight that’s her own doing?
And the biggest question is will she stay ?

I highly doubt Mack could withstand her leaving him. .. them again…

She was our beating heart. Our home. Our hearth. And I was the walls that protected them.”

Four Calling Birds is the first in the Mourningkill series. All of the books can can be read as a standalone. No other books must be read before this.

Molly Briar and Cole Eubanks performed the hell out of this one with the amusing hilarious shenanigans of these characters especially Mac this character had me laughing so hard with every single scene performed especially with Mack and Bruce.
Oh lord Cole Eubanks delivery as Mack is amazingly good!

Bruce the buck, is an actual deer…
Brett the bastard as Mac not so affectionately referred to him as is his buddy … (dead 🤣 )
And the children whom he thinks will drive him to an early grave.
Mac views are super hilarious and exaggerated and will have bursting with laughter during any of his outbursts.
You must listen to this one for sure.

I previously read Four Calling Birds by Molly Briar and was looking forward to it in audio... it completely surprised me in the best way. I listened to this expecting a lot and it ended up being so much more emotional and engrossing than I anticipated.
The story follows Lotte and Mack, a sorta still married couple separated by years of pain, secrets and unresolved issues. What really worked for me in audio was the tension between them.. Its not just the romantic tension but the emotional side of two people who clearly still know each other better than anyone else while also carrying deep scars from the past. Their dynamic was raw and intimate, especially in the quieter scenes where care and longing said more than the dialogue ever could on paper alone.
Lotte came across so well. She’s tough, guarded and very clearly carrying trauma... but there’s also vulnerability underneath all of it that slowly comes through over the course of the story and in audio.
Mack could have easily come across as overly possessive but instead he felt attentive, patient and deeply heartbroken... I mean man... and Jack Hill was amazing as him. I could have listened for hours and hours.
The narrators did a fantastic job capturing the emotional exhaustion, the longing and tenderness between the characters. Jack Hills voice especially carried that restrained devotion really well, while Molly Briar gave Lotte her balanced strength and fragility in a way that made her perspective incredibly emotional.
I also loved the atmosphere of the book. The mix of holiday coziness with darker emotional undertones gave it a unique feel that felt comforting one minute and aching the next. The writings very emotional and sensual, so if you enjoy romances with yearning, caretaking, unresolved tension this absolutely delivers.
Its a spicy and surprisingly tender romance that hooked me in. Definitely recommend for readers who love messy relationships, second chances and audiobooks where the narrators fully commit to their characters.

I loved this! It started out fast paced and did not let up. When undercover CIA agent Lotte needs a place to hideout after her cover is blown and she is injured, she did not expect the company to send her straight to her estranged husband.... Mack is all that dreams are made of! Family man, loyal to a fault and very protective of what belongs to him! I loved meeting everyone in the crew and despite differences being able to put it aside and help when needed. I was rooting for Mack and Lotte to sort out there problems and Lotte is such an amazing and forgiving person, it was truly swoonworthy to listen to this unfold. Bruce was friggen amazing!!! I love love love him!! I hope we see more of him 🤣. The audiobook was amazing and added another level of intimacy to the book. Fantastic start to the Mourningkill series, can't wait to read more!!

This was a bit of a mix of everything in a positive way.
It started off right in the action with a fair warning for gore. It mixed all the action with the emotions running in the background and I really enjoyed the voice actors in this, they did a brilliant job of bringing the characters to life.
It felt a little slower in the main part of the book as all the emotions and background was unpacked before picking up again at the end. I liked the mix of characters and being able to get a feeling for them and the relationships they have with one another.
Overall this was nice to listen to and have a solid mix of action, emotions and background.

I have read this series out of order and read book three before this one and although Cobra is still my favourite, Mack is giving him a run for his money on the possessive alpha male front in this second chance romance! Jack Hill is a new to me narrator and I really enjoyed his performance as the gruff Mack whose ex-wife, Lotte, turns up on his doorstep needing his help after being wounded. Molly Briar is always good and showcased Lotte perfectly; she is a complicated character who despite breaking Mack's heart (as well as her own) with her choices, did it for what she thought was the right reason and she was very easy to empathise with. There are some heavy themes but there is still some humour though with Bruce 100% stealing the show.

Its a pretty action packed novella as Lotte is pursued by enemies from her past and I enjoyed the action scenes as well as the little cameo from my other favourite, Brett Bradley. We're not only dealing with the angst between Mack and Lotte though, but also the tension between Mack's former teammates. They may have been a tight knit unit before, but cracks have appeared in Lotte's absence as several members of this found family have their own problems to deal with. I'm looking forward to Greg's story as I had heard tidbits in book three and I'll be picking up book two for Taz's story to fill in some of the gaps.

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

A simply splendid read that I thoroughly enjoyed with great characters and scenario
After retiring from the Army Special Forces and then decided that the best thing to do was so purchase a farm where the aim was to spend the winter years rebuilding and loving restoring the house into a home. The main aim being to keep away from people who he loathed an to spend his time simply doing what he valued, enjoyed and considered worthwhile.
Then completely out of the blue had received a call from a colleague that was badly injured and they were asking if he was prepared to offer a place for the Special Agent to recover and regain their strength.
It was also obvious that they were hiding out from a criminal organization that had caused the injuries and obviously might still be searching for him to complete the job which seemed as though it was intended to be fatal.
Imagine his shock when the individual that had been dumped quite literally on his doorstep is non other that his ex-wife, she has been stabbed and is covered in a plethora of scars that cover her body and have been done over a period of time, he has no idea what she had been doing but is determined to find out what she has been involved in and who has hurt her, if she survives her injuries.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

FCB is book one of MB’s Mourning Kill series and can be read as a stand alone. Just as Fire for Effect is a military novel, this is placed in the same world and team. I had read FFE before I got to this ALC, and it gave me a ‘coming home’ feeling. Settling the situations that was hinted in book two.
This was a beautiful, finding ourselves story about Mack and Lottie.
A little novel filled with the completion of so many missed moments and misplaced feelings. It’s one that’s also filled hilarious banter, and unusual dramatics with a certain deer. It has one of my favourite tropes, found family. Despite being a military novel, it’s topped with emotion and the raw partnership dynamic of the MCs.
The performance of @coleroberteubanksnarrates and MB was excellent, once again. There were more characters played within this one, and executed beautifully!
I loved it. It was such a good homey novel to cleanse my palate. Perfect if you’re wanting something for the holidays 🤍

Thank you for the ALC @molly.briar and co-narrator @coleroberteubanksnarrates 🖤🖤

An emotional, addictive second chance romance that completely consumed me

Four Calling Birds by Molly Briar absolutely broke me and healed me at the same time.

This story was raw, emotional, intense and so beautifully written that I felt every single moment deep in my chest. Molly handled the themes of infertility and loss with such care and honesty, while still giving us a gripping romantic suspense filled with second chances, forced proximity, found family and incredible chemistry. Mack and Lotte’s relationship felt messy, real and impossible not to root for.

The emotional depth of this story completely swept me away, but the humour and banter balanced everything perfectly. And Bruce the deer? Iconic 🦌

The narration elevated this audiobook into something unforgettable. Molly Briar brought so much vulnerability and emotion to Lotte, while Jack Hill as Mack was absolute perfection. His voice was protective, gruff, emotional and unbelievably hot 🫠 The chemistry between them was electric and every emotional moment hit even harder because of their performances.

This audiobook made me laugh, ache, swoon and fully fall in love with these characters. Such an incredible start to the Mourningkill series and I already cannot wait for the next story.

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Format: Audiobook - Duet narration by Molly Briar and Jack Hill
Series / Standalone: Interconnected Standalone (Mourningkill, Book 1)
Tropes: Small Town, Former Military, Second Chance, Romantic Suspense, Found Family

Thanks to Adler Audio and the author for this gifted audiobook - all opinions are my own

📚Lots to love with this one!! The romantic suspense was prevalent and I’m a sucker for a veteran main character and in this one we get two! The backstory was explained well and provided a layer of angst in the relationship that was visceral. As far as second chance’s go, this one was very realistic and heart felt. The danger aspect really elevated the storyline.

My favorite part about this book was the introduction to the rest of the team. This found family has such a strong devotion aspect despite them not all liking each other at the moment. The set up for the rest of the series was phenomenal and I can’t wait to continue it.

🎧The audio was amazing. Molly Briar shows off many talents in this book, both writing and narrating. Jack Hill is new to me and is now on my radar as an instant listen. His skill at voicing multiple characters with unique personalities impressed me more than once during this book.

A friend of mine posted a review for the audio version of this and based on her love of the book, I added it to my TBR. The narration is duet format and the author Molly Briar voices the FMC and Jack Hill voices the MMC. Come to find out that Jack is a person I have followed on TT for years and I adore his reels.

This is a military, second chance, small town, romantic thriller, and I found myself rooting for them from the start.

Both Molly and Jack do a wonderful job of pulling out the emotion of the relationship between Lotte (Charlotte) and Mac. As well, as the additional characters that join them. Knowing Jack from TT added a little for me as I could picture his facial features with a lot of his lines.

There is also found family as other members of Mac's former team join them. And like most families therr is bickering, love, and a steadfastness that even time apart doesn't fully erase.

Yhe spice is wonderful with just a touch of dominance from Mac. Perfection!!!

Explicit language, violence, death and conversations around infertility. Please read the TWs.

This is book 1 in the Mourningkill serie, which is a collection tion of interconnected romantic thrillers.

Did I forget to mention Bruce??? He kind of steals the show!!!

Molly, you did it again! This read had me hooked from the beginning and good ol' Brett Bradley made his appearance once again. #IYKYK
Mack is retired from the service and purchased a farm secluded from the world. Living life alone, until he gets a call from a colleague needing a favor. Not really wanting company, Mack gets things ready and waits for their arrival. Until he finds out the favor includes his thought to be ex-wife, Lotte.
Lotte walks away from the love of her life and he does not stop her. She takes a job with the CIA putting herself in a situation that almost ends her life. Showing up at her ex-husband's house was not part of the plan to rest and hide out.
Feelings come to the surface including finding out they are still married. Taking advantage of his husband's rights, Mack shows Lotte another side to him and she loves every moment of it. Then we meet the kids who are called in to help. And we can't forget Bruce!!
This read pulled at my heartstrings and the banter had me in tears laughing. Can't wait until we get the next read. I need more of Taz and Griff *wink wink.*

Awesome

This is the first book I read by this author and I will be reading more . I do like my books a little bit hotter but it was hot .. Mack and lotte were married but when she couldn't give him children she left him so he could have the dream of having them with some one else ..
His father said some nasty stuff to her and Mack just stood there and didnt say anything and watched her leave
She is undercover and gets hurt and her boss ends up sending her to Mack to heal and for him to protect .
Being togeather they learn some things they didnt know and he realized she loved him just as much as he loved her and she didnt want to leave , but he never stood up for her or told her it was ok.
I gave it a 4 star rating because he was married to what he said was the love of his life and his soul mate and he didnt say anything as his father yelled at her and told her she was no good since she couldn't have children and he just watched her leave and did and said nothing.
It took her coming back for him to realize he should have stuck up for her and told her she was enough

~Four Calling Birds~Mourningkill Series Book 1~Molly Briar~

~Duet Narration~Cole Eubanks & Molly Briar~

~Production~Adler Audios~

“Are you saying I don’t deserve you?”
“I’m saying you don’t deserve the burden of me.”

♡A not so holiday romance is the perfect description of this book! Sometimes I need a book that isn't sunshine & rainbows but still gets you in the Christmas spirit & Molly nailed that with this book! Nothing was going to keep Charlotte & Mack apart...not even a divorce! As fate would have it these two estranged love birds crossed paths in a not so gentle way & I devoured every tension filled second!

The duet narration for this audiobook was perfection! Cole & Molly are always phenomenal when they narrate together & this listen was no different! They both did a phenomenal job at bringing each & every character & emotion to life in this story!

If you love your Christmas romance reads on the darker side with an engaging story line, banter for days, a touch of spice, & a found family trope that will make you swoon look no further!♡

🎧 This book was such an easy audiobook for me to get pulled into. Jack Hill and Molly Briar did such a good job bringing the emotions and tension between Charlotte and Mack to life. I loved that it was duet format.

This one mixes military romance with second chance romance in a way that kept me invested the whole time. Charlotte ends up being brought to Mack’s place as a safe house while she heals and let’s just say… unresolved feelings plus forced proximity definitely made things heated.

I really liked the history between these two. You could feel the tension, the hurt, the chemistry… all of it. Mack has that protective MMC energy without feeling over the top and I liked that their connection felt emotional instead of just instant spice.

The writing was super easy to get into and the story flowed really well in audio format. It had a nice balance of romance, healing, tension and suspense mixed throughout.

If you like second chance romance, protective military MMCs, forced proximity and audiobooks with strong chemistry between the narrators, this one is definitely worth checking out.

Another 5-star read from Molly! This was an amazing read! I was hooked from beginning to end.

Mack is such a lovable, funny guy. I loved him instantly. I loved Lotte. I loved her marriage with Mack. Their chemistry was amazing. They're just such a wonderful couple. I liked how when she came back and the "kids" showed up, they instantly went back to calling her "Momma Mack," aside from Taz. The found family dynamic in this book is beautiful. Mack's distaste for Brett was absolutely hilarious. Brett and Bruce actually😂 Bruce was another hilarious addition to this story. Who knew a deer could make someone so violent (extra violent in Mack's case.) Even though this is a short read, this book does make you feel a lot. I went from laughing my ass off to feeling sad or angry for a character, and then I'd end up with the biggest smile on my face.

I'm so excited to have Taz and Griff's book in my hands. Their banter is the absolute best. Even though they go at each other's necks the entire time, you can see so much more brewing between the two of them.

I loved this book!!! It is not your cutesy holiday romance story and it made it perfect. Molly just knows how to write a book to lure you in from the very beginning and keep you hooked.

The banter between the MCs was fantastic. Charlotte had me cracking up multiple times with her witty comebacks. Mack, I loved him! And his deer Bruce 🤣😂🤣 I can’t even begin to explain it, you have to read the book.

Charlotte and Mack were just meant to be. Life got in the way and they had parted ways many years ago, but then they were brought back together. I loved their connection. Their struggle with infertility touched my heart and made me sad for them. But they had their own little family and it was perfect for them.

This was my second book that Molly and Cole narrated and it was just as amazing! Their voices just got together so well. They really bring the characters and story to life! I can’t wait to listen yo more.

One thing that really resonated for me with this book is the emphasis on found family and that sometimes our happily ever looks different than what we were expecting. One of the main subplots of this book focuses on miscarriage and for me if was a breath of, much needed, fresh air where the characters cam to a point of acceptance with the hand that was dealt versus having a magical medical miracle. The journey that Mack and Charlotte go through it equal parts emotional and action packed. Honestly this is the Die Hard version of a holiday romance novel, it is a wild ride that pulls no punches.
The audio version of this book was pure perfection - the narration styles of Molly Briar and Cole Eubanks just work seamlessly as a duet. This is the first book that I have listened with this duet and it every time I fall in love all over again. They each have a way of capturing the personalities of the characters and bringing them to life.

This story is a whirlwind! In this short story a lot happens, it’s very good, while written and I loved this couple!

We have Mack who is ex army special force and living his lonely life in the mountains. When all of a sudden his “ex wife” is dropped off at his front door injured and needing help. But the fight finds them and is coming to their little home in the mountains.

I would definitely recommend this audiobook, and I would like to listen to the next one in the series.

I’m so beyond grateful I got a ALC of this audiobook! Thank you to the author Molly briar and Adler Audios for letting me rate and review this audiobook with my honest opinion.

Four Calling Birds is the first book in the MourningKill series. This story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Please read all content warnings before listening. Lotte and Mack were married/possibly divorced and she has been working undercover for a few years. Now, she has been injured and her boss brings her to Mack to hide out and recuperate. When trouble comes for her, Mack and his former team are there to help. Can they rekindle their relationship? Sit back, relax and get ready for a wild ride.
The duet narration by Molly Briar and Jack Hill was beyond extraordinary. Molly Briar was absolutely magnificent as sweet, strong, sassy Lotte. All of her hurt, pain, grief, uncertainty, vulnerability, strength, courage, determination, passion and love were all clearly evident in her voice. Jack Hill was superb as alpha, obsessive, possessive, protective retired military man now hermit Mack. His trust in, care and love for Lotte was beautiful. I loved the speech to his dad about their children. Bruce was splendid. I could feel the chemistry cracking between them. I highly recommend listening to this audiobook.
Thanks to the author and Adler Audios for this ALC.

This book is absolutely fantastic!!! It’s a second chance military romance, with the right amount of spice!! The plot is absolutely fantastic! The banter between Lotte and Mack even before they fixed their issues (and afterwards) was amazing!! And when Brett called to inform them about the Scorpions, the way the old team came running despite what happened and what they’re going through personally they pulled together and became a family again!!!! I love it!!! One thing I absolutely loved was how Mack stood up to his father when it came to his relationship with Lotte! He finally got his girl back and he wasn’t about to let his father’s views take her away from him again!!!

I’d love to see a sequel to it about Taz and her story!! The witty banter and tension between Taz and Griff makes you want to delve deeper into their relationship and see if they’re going to get a HEA too!!!

This book is one that sucks you in from the first page and leaves you wanting so much more! I read 90% of it in one sitting then realized I needed to catch sleep for work and finished the last 10% today and I’m beyond amazed by this book and it kept me on the edge of my seat.

Molly has a way to bring you into the story like you are physically apart of the action the way this book is written is like you are physically inside all of the action, I felt the emotions that Charlotte and Mack were feeling throughout their point of view and i can’t wait to read more from Molly.

Charlotte and Mack reunite under not so usual circumstances and then realize that they are still legally married though they’ve been separated for years, to find out they still have this heated spark between them and don’t want to let the other go.

5 Awesome Stars for Four Calling Birds : A Not So Jolly Christmas Romance by new for me author Molly Briar

This is Book 1 of the Mourningkill series !

The way the author named the Chapters is so clever & funny - well written story told from dual perspectives.

I loved so much about these characters Lotte and Mack as they face real personal challenges in this second chance romance. I also love how the author sprinkles in humorous dialogue and situations thru out ! ( interaction with Bruce , the Buck are priceless)

Tug at your heartstrings - angst and true love always wins !

Let me not forget to mention the great sizzling chemistry!

I would definitely recommend this read and author ! Great work !

“She was our beating heart. Our home. Our hearth. And I was the walls that protected them.”

Four Calling Birds by Molly Briar is not your mama’s holiday romance! lol. Think Die Hard meets small-town cozy with chaotic chosen family dynamics. Book one in the Mourningkill series (yes, I read and reviewed these out of order), Four Calling Birds has fantastic world building, heart wrenching storytelling, and some of my favorite special ops characters ever. Mack and Charlotte are contentious exes with unfinished business and scorching hot chemistry. From their snarky banter to their swoony flirting and all the “my wife” energy in between, I loved these two! I was charmed by the way they cared for the rest of their team and chosen family. If you’re looking for a fast-paced, cozy love story with lots of spice and holiday vibes, Four Calling Birds is a must-read! Plus, you don’t want to miss Bruce!

Duet Narration by Molly Briar and Jack Hill

Tropes:
Military Romance
Estranged Marriage
Second Chance
Forced Proximity
Romantic Suspense

What an incredible start to the Mourningkill series. The story follows Mack, a retired First Sergeant living a solitary life in Upstate New York, trying to heal from the heartbreak of his marriage ending. When his ex-wife, Charlotte, appears on his doorstep in a life-threatening situation, Mack’s protective instincts—and his heart—are put to the ultimate test.

Molly brings such a delicate touch to Charlotte’s character, especially regarding the heavy themes of infertility and loss. Jack Hill embodies Mack’s "hermit" persona perfectly with a voice that is both commanding and tender.

Huge thank you to Adler Audios and the author for this ALC!

Four Calling Birds by Molly Briar was such a fun and emotional romance! Charlotte and Mack had the perfect mix of chemistry, tension, and heart that kept me completely invested in their story. I was rooting for their HEA the entire time. Talk about a crazy second chance at love! I enjoyed the banter between them, but it was the softer emotional moments that really pulled me in and got to me. Don't get me started on the dad....He was not nice!

And the narration.... Absolutely phenomenal. Molly Briar and Jack Hill brought these characters to life so effortlessly. Their performances added so much emotion, humor, and heat to the story that I didn’t want it to end. Such a cozy, swoony listen that was perfect for curling up with!

***A little heads up, this story deals with the topic of miscarriages. If this is something that will hurt you, you might want to sit this one out.

Charlotte is a CIA operative whose cover gets blown after infiltrating a crime organization (the Scorpions) for two years. With nowhere else to go, she ends up at her ex-husband Mack’s new property to hide and recover… knowing the people she "betrayed" are coming for her.

The tension never really lets up, but underneath all of that, this story is really about pain, love, and reconciliation.

Charlotte and Mack’s history is heavy. They went through multiple miscarriages, and she left him believing he deserved a chance at a family she couldn’t give him. That emotional layer made their reunion hit harder.

You get action, angst, and a crime syndicate hunting them down, all wrapped into a quick, engaging read. It doesn’t leave a lot of loose ends, and the pacing keeps you hooked the whole way through.

A very enjoyable read from a new-to-me author! Lotte and Mack reunite after years apart to find they still have that spark in their marriage. A growing threat spurs Mack to gather the old gang back together. Everyone's been living separate lives, but their dynamic is that of an awesome found family. I especially loved Taz and Griffin's banter, and cannot wait for their story to release. Lotte and Mack were also amazing and I loved how they've been each other's everything, and never gave up despite the odds. Their love is timeless, and Mack will do anything to protect his wife from danger, which makes my heart happy.

Mack and Lotte have a broken past with each other, but when something bad happens to Lotte and she is left at Mack's door, he steps up and makes it his issue also. Mack, having so much resentment from his marriage/divorce from Lotte but had so many feelings coming into view.

Does Mack fully get past his resentments? Do they fall in love all over again? This book is medium to fast paced. I got into the book at the start, the characters matched pretty well. This is book one of the Mourningkill series. It was military in genre and wasn't something I would have normally read but I am glad I did.
