I've enjoyed all these books up until now but this particular book was just one big complaint by the two main characters. I am not giving up however and will look forward to the next one.
I have enjoyed the previous 7 books in this season but this one just didn't engage my interest. We are with Ariel and Miles as they honeymoon on an island. They had one mishap after another to spoil their "perfect honeymoon". There was constant bickering between them and then they would talk about their devoted love of one another. They're in this together was a constant theme. This was the most unrealistic portrayal of a honeymoon that I've ever seen or read. There was almost nothing about the beloved B&B Leeside and how those left behind were getting along. I was very disappointed.
This was my least favorite in the series. It started out confusing, taking place less than two weeks after the last book ended, with a huge New Years party at the B & B. The end of the previous book was a big kitchen fire and lots of smoke and water damage, I guess that all magically disappeared? As Ariel and Miles leave for their Honeymoon, it's one disaster after another, and lots of bickering. Things jump around, to where I'm not sure what day it is. They seem to watch the sunset more than once each day. The whole series would rate higher if it was proof read before being published. I'm hoping the last book in the series will make more sense and we finally find out why Ariel's father skipped town all those years ago.

Y’all. Don’t do it. Don’t waste your time. This book was AWFUL! Whoever did the final edit should be fired. Whoever signed off on the synthesized voice reading the audiobook should be fired. Whoever gave the green light for the word “cacophony” being used 83 times in one chapter should be fired. There was no point to this book. It was a different “traumatic” event every chapter. Ariel is still a whiny brat. This was a total waste of time.
Overall, I really like this series. However, I feel like after the first few, they have gone downhill almost? This story kept repeating itself so I felt like I was rereading the same sections over and over again. The storyline was okay but could be accomplished efficiently in a different way
