This is the first book in the Fortemani series, I loved the setting, the Napa Valley in California and of course the hero and heroine Dante and Morgan, add to that a cast of wonderful characters and this one makes for a great romance.

Dante Fortemani is one of four children and part of a family business that started over one hundred years ago with a vineyard in the Napa Valley he loves this vineyard so much but after losing first his Dad then his beloved Nono Dante slips into a struggle with grief, and now the family are telling him the struggling vineyard must be sold, this is not going to happen as far as Dante is concerned and he has been given two months to make some changes at the vineyard.

Morgan Forster is a business consultant and spends all of her time with her iPad, phone and any electronic gadget she has on her, working always, when her friends part of the sister circle decide it is time for Morgan to start to live a little and detox from her electronics they take her for a Galantine’s weekend in the Napa Valley. Will she find Mr. Perfect?

The Galantine’s Brunch is a huge success for Dante but when he spies a woman in the corner behind a palm with every electronic device to be had, he is suspicious has she been sent to look over the vineyard thinking about purchasing, He steps in and soon he and Morgan are trekking through the vineyard and things are heating up between them, especially after a visit to the pallet swing.

Does love at first sight really happen, can they mix business and romance and come out on the other side happy and in love? All questions will be answered in this fun sexy romantic comedy, it is one that I do recommend lots of laughs and smiles along the way.

My thanks to Tule Publishing for my digital copy to read and review.

I would firstly just like to say a big thank you to the author, who very kindly forwarded me an arc copy of her book, for my kindle, in return for my honest review.

The Accidental Crush is the first book in the ‘Fortemani Family’ series and i really enjoyed everything about it.

It was set in the wonderful Napa Valley in California and was a great way to get some armchair travel, as I honestly felt like i was there amongst all that was going on!

I absolutely loved the hero and heroine, Dante and Morgan and i loved becoming totally immersed in their story.

This was a wonderful, immersive, spicy rom com with some very funny moments that had me giggling along and of course that all important touch of romance too - perfect………

The Accidental Crush is the perfect read for February!

It starts out with our main characters Dante and Morgan meeting at his vineyard while she’s there on a Galentines trip. Their relationship then turns into a business one as she helps him create a business plan to save his family’s vineyard.

I loved both of them so much but especially Dante! He starts out in a dark place just hooking up with girls all the time but things change and he really grows over the course of the book!

The big plot twist at the end really shocked me!! I would be ticked at my family but wow props to them for what they did!

I can’t wait to read the second book in this new series and absolutely LOVE the vineyard setting (it’s great for all those spicy scenes 🤭). I’m trying to go into books blind as much as possible so I’m so excited when I get my hands on the second book to see who’s next in this series.

I absolutely adored the acknowledgements section in regards to creating stories that feature people of color being happy, in love, and succeeding in achieving their dreams. It really made the book all that more meaningful and I really got that while reading this story.

The Accidental Crush was my first read by Mia Heintzelman but will surely not be my last. Dante Fortemani has what seems an insurmountable challenge - find a way to save the family vineyard before his brother and mother sell it off to the highest bidder. Enter Morgan Forster: business consultant (and woman of his dreams.)
As they work together to strategize saving the vineyard, the lines between business and pleasure blur quickly. Their chemistry was so well-written! I also loved the focus on friendships, especially for Morgan. Her group of girlfriends was wonderfully supportive l and they seemed to have such a fun time together. I had so many love/hate feelings with Dante's family throughout the book - and am so curious to see how they feature in future books.
I highly recommend this one to fans of workplace/forced proximity romances featuring great friend groups and complicated families.

Note: I received an advanced reading copy of The Accidental Crush, receipt of which did not impact my review.

(3.5) This was a cute feel good story. I appreciate the look into the imperfections in Dante’s grief responses, because it was relatable if you’ve ever dealt with multiple close losses in a short amount of time. I loved Dante and Morgan together, even though they were irking me a little trying to resist each other for the sake of “business”. But once they let themselves just be together I loved their relationship. His family though….its on sight. I wish that there was another couple of chapters or an epilogue or something at the end after the plot twist so that I could actually see how the family handled it…without me having to read the next book in the series.

When a galentine's weekend turns into something more. This book read more like contemporary fiction with romantic elements because we are working through Dante's grief and Morgan's workaholic tendencies. Either way it's always a thrill to read about something characters figuring things out that and having a strong friend group. This book had the added plot point of rich family history/legacy.

Thank to the publisher for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The short of it: What was an intimate night between almost strangers turns into much more than Morgan and Dante bargained for. They quickly realize there's more there, whether it's the feelings or how she can help his family business succeed when it seems his family wants it to fail.

Thoughts: Morgan and Dante have definitely been one of the spiciest/steamiest of Mia's couples that I've read. Like, ma'am. MIA. Way to bring the heat with this one.

There were a couple of moments where I had to put down the book because I wanted to scream at the pair and throw my phone. I loatheeeeee when couples can't communicate in a book. And when families are at odds. But in true Mia fashion, it works itself out in the end.

Pick up this book if you're a fan of Mia Heintzelman, rom coms, love at first sight vibes, girl group vibes, drinking wine, laughs, and feels.

" Nope, you are no longer the predictable player who needs only a beautiful woman around to distract you from focusing on the vineyard."

-meet cute
-Family business
- womanizing Bachelor
-workaholic MFC

Ahhhhh!!!! OBSESSED

The Fortemani Family series is becoming my favorite!!! Mia Heintzelman has made me fall in love all over again. Dante and Morgan's chemistry is undeniable and addicting to watch pan out. Reckless Bachelor Dante is his family's hope of getting business straight when he meets workaholic Morgan who unexpectedly takes his breath away. When you have two strong willed individuals put together what could possibly go wrong? I love the banter, getting to know this family and what drives them as well as their love journeys. Dante and Morgan start this new series following this family's highs and lows..... I had a good time with this and I love gaining new book boyfriends, this time definitely in Dante Fortemani. 🩷🩷🩷🩷

The Accidental Crush by Mia Heintzelman is the first book in her very enjoyable new series, The Fortemani Family. The book is set in Napa California and features Dante Fortemani and Morgan Forster. I was fortunate to receive an arc from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

The Fortemani family has many businesses including the 250 year old family vineyard. In the past several years the siblings lost both their dad and then grandfather. Dante has had trouble with the deaths and it made him unable to do his job running the vineyard. As the book opens, his older brother and mother threaten to sell off his beloved vineyard. He convinces them to give him a chance to turn things around. He has the support of his sister and younger brother as well as his best friend Marco and his wife Angela. Dante’s first event in his plan to save the vineyard is a Galantine’s Brunch.

Morgan’s besties, her sister circle, believe she doesn’t have a work life balance and convince her to go to Napa for the weekend, including going to the Galantine’s Brunch. She has her own business consulting company that she is trying to build stronger. They have told her it is an electronic detox for her. Dante sees her hiding from her friends and doing work and is intrigued. The two talk and flirt and realize they are both attracted. Dante ends up taking her into the vineyard where he hasn’t been since he lost his grandfather. They share some of the family’s wine and a memorable evening. Dante is interested in her personally, as well as her business as a consultant to help with his vineyard. He makes the decision to hire her as a consultant and she stipulates that it only be business, regardless of the chemistry between them.

Dante has Morgan come and stay at the vineyard and the two work hard on getting plans in place for him to succeed in his revitalization of the vineyard. It is difficult for them to ignore their feelings that keep growing, the more time they spend together. Their friends offer mixed suggestions about the relationship. The two struggle on how to handle the business and personal aspects of their relationship. They finally give into their feelings for some steamy fun. There’s lots of angst and strong chemistry with some surprises later in the book.

I liked the characters a lot. Both have exes that left scars. Also both have complicated relationships with their families. They have strong support systems with their friends. I did find the sisters circle to sometimes be off putting in their actions. The plot twists that Mia threw in were such a surprise and fun to read. I am looking forward to the next book in Fortemani series. I’m wondering which sibling will be featured next. Another Five Star book for Mia that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Super cute contemporary romance centered around a Napa Valley vineyard. Dante Fortemani is one of 4 children that is part of the family business that started over 200 years ago. Dante is responsible for the family’s vineyard in Napa Valley. Mr. Playa Playa Extraordinaire who has a different woman warming his bed every night is cocky, arrogant and can’t be bothered; until the family’s legacy…..his legacy is threatened. With his brothers, sister, and mother in talks with potential buyers interested in buying the property, Dante realizes that the time for fun and games are over and in order for his family to take him seriously; he needs to get his ish together and fast. Or risk losing a part of his family legacy that he hold near and dear to his heart.

Morgan is a business consultant that stepped out on a limb to run her own consulting firm instead of following in her parent’s footsteps. Morgan is totally relatable. A black woman who has something to prove to clients, her competition and most importantly to herself. The only problem is; Morgan does not know how to manage her work and personal life. No worries: that’s what her Sister Squad is for.

After convincing Morgan to take a break to detox from her electronics and work life to live a little, Morgan follows her homegirls to Napa Valley for a little fun and relaxation. Never in a million years did she think she would hook up with one of the hottest men she’s ever met. To make things interesting she realizes that she has hooked up with Dante Fortemani; the family named tied to the beautiful resort she is visiting.

Dante and Morgan were perfect for one another. Not only was Dante attracted to Morgan; he saw a need for her to help him turn things around for his family’s vineyard. Morgan, who loves a challenge, accepts Dante’s proposal and gets to work helping him turn things around all while losing her heart in the process.

This was a fun and sexy read. Although Dante and Morgan had great chemistry they were still dealing with their own inner demons. Dante was still grieving the loss of his grandfather and father and Morgan was hyper fixated on building her business and gaining new clients. Neither one realizing the wedge they were building between each other but thank goodness for nosey friends. Between Morgan’s Sister Squad and Dante’s BFF Marco this couple didn’t stand a chance.

A story full of heart and warmth with laughs and swoon worthy moment. Accidental Crush is a story of finding love when you least expect it.

Families are sometimes messy, nerve wracking and even extremely hard to deal with at times. Dante Fortemani deals with his messy family who will not take him seriously. His stuffy, bottom line financial brother, Stefan, thinks he is just a playboy who has no business acumen and is more interested in finding women than running their family's vineyard. Stefan is not wrong in every area. Dante needs a wake up call which he receives when his family tells him they are thinking of selling the vineyard. He is devastated and knows he has to save his family's vineyard.

Morgan Forster is a business consultant who has some sort of electronic device glued to her hand at all times with beeping alarms on everything electronic. She is one of those friends you would rather not be around as conversation is limited and interrupted constantly. Work is all she cares about. In her defense, she is trying to build a business from the ground up. Her friends decide an intervention is necessary before she self-implodes while holding an electronic device. They take a weekend trip to Napa Valley for a Galentines getaway.

Even though this is supposed to be a electronics free weekend, Morgan cannot help herself, which is how Dante finds her hidden behind a palm plant answering emails. The chemistry between these two is off the charts immediately, but more importantly Dante realizes she can help him professionally as well. The only issue is they have to keep to business and leave the pleasure out of it. This is not going to be easy for these two.

Both main characters were easy to like. Dante is so laid back and Morgan is so serious. They were meant to be together. The family dynamics of the Fortemani family are interesting and a little sad at times. All of the family members have been grieving the loss of a father and grandfather within a year of one another. It has fractured this family, and no one seems to know how to fix it. Because of these family dynamics, there were some tear worthy moments. There were also some seriously funny moments that lightened the story and made it even more palatable and easy to read. Romance lovers who like a little drama, a lot of romance and a plenty of comedy will love this one.

The Accidental Crush by Mia Heintzelman was a beautiful winter vacation from reality that I didn't know I needed last month! I adored everything about this book.

The Accidental Crush introduces us to ladies’ man, Dante Fortemani. While Dante is part of his family's business, his mother and siblings don't seem to treat him as such. And because of this, we find the Fortemanis on the cusp of selling the family vineyard. This vineyard is Dante's passion, and he begins to brainstorm ways to keep his family from selling the vineyard. The brainstorming begats Dante's passion project-- Fortemani Vineyards Galentine's Day Weekend.

Then we are introduced to Morgan Forster. Morgan is all-work-and-no-play! She runs her own business consultant firm, so always tries to convince her girl group that she has no time for love because she's running a business! Said friend group books a girl's trip to Galentine's Day Weekend and Fortemani Vineyards to persuade Morgan to get some downtime. This grand time introduced Morgan to one Dante Fortemani and as you would guess, sparks fly and shenanigans ensue!

Our resident playboy Dante wants to prove he's turning over a new leaf, though. So, he's moving at a snail-like pace when it comes to the glaringly obvious feelings he has for Morgan. And our homegirl Morgan convinces herself she has no time for anything serious with Dante, who she no doubt feels sparks with as well! So, when Dante divulges his plan to stop his family from selling the vineyard, Morgan offers her services to help him save it. And there it goes--- both agree to keep their relationship on the business side of things. Or do they?

I won't give the whole book away, but I will say I thoroughly enjoyed this read. I was lured in by Dante's charm, the vineyard setting, and business partners to lovers trope. But I was won over by Morgan's character and the amazing girl group she had. I wanted to meet Dante, become friends with Morgan, find a girl group like Morgan’s crew, and find my way down to Fortemani Vineyards! I thoroughly enjoyed The Accidental Crush and I look forward to reading more from the author.

Since the death of his father and grandfather, Dante Fortemani has become a lothario. It’s his way of dealing with grief. His family is concerned that his is having a negative effect on the family’s vineyard and winery, and think the best thing to do is to sell it, property and all. Dante’s not happy about it, and is determined that he’s going to do everything in his power to maintain his family’s legacy.

Morgan Forster is a workaholic, self-employed, small business consultant. She’s all about upholding the entrepreneurial spirit. When her girlfriends, the Sister Circle, drag her away from work for a Galentine’s event at Fortemani Vineyards, she has no idea what awaits her. All she knows is that she has work to do.

When Dante and Morgan meet, something magical happens between them. And when they join forces to bring the vineyard and winery up to his family’s expectations, there’s another kind of magic for them to discover.

This was a cute and entertaining story. It’s definitely for mature readers as it includes very adult themes. I loved the characters, but wasn’t overly impressed with them having intimate relations within a short while after meeting. Also, later on, given his history, them having relations without protection. Both seemed risky and adolescent. Putting those things aside, I really enjoyed how well Dante and Morgan worked together, and I loved her Sister Circle and how they kept sticking their noses into what was going on. Dante’s friends, Angelo and Marco were also a delight.

A fun book with some serious aspects.

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher. I thank them for their generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

Small Business BookTok ARC Reviews: "The Accidental Crush" by Mia Hientzelman

Note: This ARC was given to me for free by the author and I am reviewing this book voluntarily.

When it seems that life is giving you sour grapes, seize the day and take life, and love, by the vines!

Morgan Forster is all work and no play, constantly busy and never having time for herself, her friends, or romance. Dante Fortemani is struggling to secure a plan to convince his family to continue to protect the family legacy that is his grandfather’s vineyard. When Morgan’s friends convince her to take a girl’s trip to the vineyard for Galentine’s Day weekend and crosses paths with Dante, sparks fly and the two strike up an arrangement; Morgan will help Dante revitalize the vineyard, but on the condition of it being strictly business. Will the two business partners come up with a way to save the vineyard in time without getting distracted or will their chemistry be the ingredient that will revive the family legacy?

From the author that brought you the “Love and Games” series, Mia Heintzelman continues to write witty and fun contemporary romances with this introduction to her new series “The Fortemani Family”! “The Accidental Crush” not only effectively constructs the wholesome, comedic, and grounded chemistry that was Morgan and Dante's relationship, but the story also acts as important and reflective commentary on communication and work/life balance. Morgan as a character was relatable to follow because as a reader, I understood the feeling of wanting to stay productive, to feel the need to be in a constant routine to feel in control of our life. Her journey in finding a balance between work and personal life acts as a reminder to us that while it's good to feel a sense of productivity, we also need to step back and take some time for ourselves and the people we love.

Communication also acts as integral commentary to the narrative. From Morgan and Dante discussing their family conflicts and needs in a relationships to the journey Dante takes to communicating his feelings and conflictions with his family, Hientzelman emphasizes how communication is essential in not only strengthening relationships, but also effective in helping to better understand our internal conflicts and how to better set boundaries and needs in our relationships. Also, THE PLOT TWIST?! I didn't see it coming at all, so prepare to be shocked! If you’re looking for the perfect Galentine’s Day/Valentine's Day read, you can check out this book when it hits online shelves February 6, 2024!

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily posting a review. All opinions are my own.
The Accidental Crush is the first in Mia Heintzelman’s new Fortemani Family series. I didn’t have much in the way of expectations, but I really ended up liking the positive family and friendship dynamics between all the characters, and the general vibe of reaching for one’s dreams, no matter how “unrealistic” or unattainable. And while stories highlighting hope and love with Black leads are not unique, it’s always great to see more of them, especially true-blue Black Romance (both/all leads are Black) like this one.
The characters were pretty great, and a solid balance between being flawed, yet sympathetic. I wasn’t sure what to think of Dante in particular, based on initial introduction (him being unable to remember the name of the girl he’d just slept with was a turnoff), but I soon warmed to him and appreciated his character growth, and how he navigates the struggles he has within his family. Morgan, by contrast won me over immediately, as she’s very no-nonsense when it comes to work, rather guarded emotionally, and I rooted for her to let her hair down and find more of a balance between her professional and personal lives.
And the two have sizzling chemistry. Not only are they physically compatible, with Heintzelman crafting one of her most explicit romances yet to explore this side of their relationship, but I enjoyed watching the two of them also grow closer on an emotional level, with the issues they face complementing each other.
I really enjoyed this book, and look forward to the rest of the series. If you’re looking for steamy, fairly lighthearted contemporary romance with Black leads, I recommend checking this out!

This is the first book in The Fortemani Family Series and man it was a good start! It has me so excited to see where else this group is going to go! There were so many amazing side characters between Dante’s family and Morgan’s “Sister Circle”. I am chomping at the bit to know what happens next!

Dante and Morgan had major chemistry right off the bat and their relationship was the opposite of a slow burn. I truly enjoyed getting to know them and see not only their love grow as they worked together to save Dante’s family Vineyard, but also witness them both learn and grow in their own ways with their personal issues.

Dante working through his grief after losing his Nono and his Dad was really sweet to read about. The way he opens up to Morgan and shares his family history and the dreams his ancestors had for the vineyard was beautifully written. (I will be searching through the provided list of vineyards in the back of the book and seeing if maybe I can plan a getaway like Dante dreamed of creating! Woo!)

Morgan being forced by her friends to learn to live life outside of work was so fun to be a part of. Her “Sister Circle” characters were great comedic relief between Dante’s grief and family drama. I hope to see these girls return in future books! It is always a joy when the side characters of a story are written so well that it leaves you wanting more of them.

Great job, Mia, on another wonderfully written book that had me neglecting life’s responsibilities in order to not have to put it down. I appreciate the opportunity to read an ARC for you again, and look forward to more in the future. Now, I have a couple days of dishes to stop putting off. *sigh* At least I can daydream about my own Fortemani Vineyard getaway while I do them.

The Accidental Crush by Mia Heintzelman
This story starts out with Dante and he's rushing from his bed to the board meeting. The family has done it again, moved on without him and they control the outcome. His mother listens and he has a bit of time to show them how the company can make a profit again at the vineyard and the lands surrounding it. He's got his work cut out for him.
Story also follows Morgan who has a business that prospers because she can see things down the road. Her group fo girls head out for a girls weekend and she's off to the side, on her phone doing business. Dante catches her and they head out to the vineyard where there is a romantic setting waiting for them.
With her knowledge she knows she can produce a super plan for the family because she's listened to Dante talk about the family and generations of family who worked the lands.
Very descriptive details and such funny laugh out loud moments when Dante catches a few phrases of the girls notes to Morgan. All she can do is blush.
She heads back for a week to work exclusively on his plan but after they walk in on a family birthday party and Dante wasn't invited she sees what's right in front of her eyes and tells Dante. He gets upset with her and you know they were just not meant to be a couple...Like where this story takes you. Steamy adult scenes.
Received this review copy from the publisher and this is my honest opinion.

February is for lovers and the timing of this book makes it the perfect read Valentines Day. When “all work no play” Morgan meets alleged “playboy” Dante, sparks fly. While there’s an immediate attraction, they quickly discover that they both major work commitments. Morgan is a one woman show, working hard to keep her business consultant firm moving in the right direction while Dante has been challenged by his family to prove that their vineyard is worth keeping.

While it’s a popular belief that business and pleasure don’t mix, Morgan and Dante work hard to dismantled this idea. It was refreshing to see things play out between these two because it began as an old school crush. The initial attraction, crossing that line, attempts to pull back, giving in to butterflies, blushing, swooning, and everything in between that’ll make you say “awww” out loud. This truly was a great romantic read for me.

The Accidental Crush was absolutely adorable! So far I have enjoyed every book of Mia’s that I’ve read and this was no exception.

Originally I found the two MCs wildly dislikeable. I’m not sure what it was but I found them incredibly off-putting and was worried about the rest of the book. Thankfully it really didn’t take long for them to change my mind. There was something about the two that, once they met, their pieces just sort of melted together.

I loved how Morgan balanced Dante. She helped him with business and seeing what’s important and he helped her open up and find the fun side of life that she’d been neglecting.

The spice was low but there were several cutesy romantic scenes to make up for it. Napa and vineyards were a perfect setting for the romance of it all!

The side characters were great! The Sister Circle was most amusing and I hope this isn’t the last we see of them. I also can’t wait to read more of the Fortemani family’s stories! I’m super intrigued by Stefano especially.

Overall this was a sweet, fun, romantic wee book that gave off a whole bunch of warm fuzzy vibes and I highly recommend it!

🍷The Fortemani family own a vineyard. After going through the loss of some family members, Dante is experiencing grief. The matriarch of the family, Dante’s mom, wants to sell the vineyard but he doesn’t. In walks Morgan to help save the business and sparks fly pretty quickly between them. Dante has a big family and Morgan has a nice friend group.

🍷This is when the fun begins. We get to see the cutest relationship between Morgan and her girlfriends; what a great group they are. We also see family dynamics between Dante and his siblings as well as his mother. This is frustrating at times but it also shows cohesiveness and the importance of family and family legacies. The dialogue between Dante and Morgan is fun-loving and believable. It really had me feeling as though I was a fly on the wall watching and listening to all that was happening.

🍷This was a quick yet captivating read chock-full of romance, silliness, business, family issues, and a very satisfying conclusion. (No spoilers but Dante’s mom and siblings made me a little mad toward the end.) This being said, I loved every minute of this book and look forward to The Fortemani Family Book 2!

Not often do you come across a book that transforms you instantly and completely to another place and the feeling lingers whether you are devouring the pages or not. This is exactly what happened to me with The Accidental Crush. This book is a feeling, it is swoony and sweet and beautifully written, and the chemistry between the two leads is on fire and palpable. I had butterflies in my stomach every time Morgan and Dante were together – whether it was the first time they met, at an event held in a vineyard in Napa, California, or the times they were all business and working together to save the aforementioned winery, or getting to know each other and trying to work out whether they were just business partners or something more – and they were both such real and lovable characters that you couldn’t help but root for them.

The Accidental Crush is Mia Heintzelman’s best book to date, if you ask me, and I absolutely adored it!

This was my first experience reading a book by Mia, and I have to admit, it was the mention of a winery that initially grabbed my attention. As someone who loves wine, I couldn't resist. While the beginning was a bit slow, the story picked up when Dante and Morgan had a charming meet-cute. Both characters were extremely likable and had undeniable chemistry, both professionally and romantically. One of the highlights of this book was the exceptional friendship dynamics. Morgan's group of friends are a joy to read about - I found myself wishing I could be a part of their circle. However, I couldn't help but feel wary of Dante's family situation. Throughout the book, I kept wondering, "what is wrong with these people?" Despite this, there were some humorous moments that added a lighter touch to the story. If you're a fan of workplace romances with elements of forced proximity, strong friendships, and complex family dynamics, then this book is a must-read.

The Accidental Crush by Mia Heintzelman begins the new The Fortemani Family series. I enjoyed another series, Love & Games which had a rather unique setting. This time the setting is more common as it concerns the family vineyard. Struggling to bring this vineyard back from hard times, Dante Fortemani implements some unique Dates for the vineyard. I must say they were wonderful, wishing for some like that around where I live. Misconception and confusion on the part of business consultant Morgan Forster makes her meeting of Dante amusing.

The joy of this story is the plot of the story with the characters and the events. It seems kismet for these two to meet, combine ideas and fall in love. A perfect February romance from beginning to end.

An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Accidental Crush is exactly what I needed this January. Mia knocks it out of the park (or should I say vineyard) with this rom-com.

Morgan and Dante are a dream couple. Their chemistry was fire and the setting (a vineyard in Napa) was perfect. Morgan and Dante work together to find a way to save his family vineyard.

I adored the group of friends Moragn had. Like, hello, can I please join one of their hangouts? I'll bring wine! I loved the chemistry especially in the forbidden-ish workplace romance. I devoured it.

I can't wait to read more. This is my absolute favorite book of Mia's so far. If you're looking for an escape this winter, this is a perfect book for you to jet off to wine country with.

It sucked me in

I really enjoyed this. Once I got into it, I was thoroughly entertained by Morgan and Dante and their feeble attempts at avoiding their blatant attraction to each other. And leading up to the proposal was so intriguing. Heck, I was mad at the sister, too (really, all of them except the little brother lol) and the petty in me was glad Dante didn't cave and just brush it off just like that. And I loved the humor.

I'll admit that I didn't really get the arguement Morgan and Dante had or their semi-breakup... they were each so out of the blue that they seemed a little forced. And speaking of, Morgan's friends changing contact names in her phone? No. I felt Morgan let that go waaaaay too easily.

It got to where I got so engrossed in the story that I forgot about time or sleep...I just soaked in. And loved it. Looking forward to the next one.

Love is not a strong enough word to describe how I feel about the accidental crush.
Morgan and Dante are now my favorite couple. Mia has once again written 2 MC that are flawed but somehow find a way to balance each other out. I loved the humor in the book and the setting in wine country and Morgan’s girl squad made it hard for me to put this book down. I think Mia also handled the issue of grief in a very loving and caring way that you could feel how loss and the fear of it can impact choices and decisions.
The Accidental Crush has all the things we love in romance stories great chemistry between our 2 MC, wine, humor, girl squad and did I mention wine.
I look forward to reading more stores about the Fortemani Family.
I am hoping for Stefano and Alexis story.

The Accidental Crush~ The Fortemani Family #1 by Mia Heintzelman
A great start to a new series from Mia, I enjoyed this book and found this book to be written very well. I was drawn in from the very first page, with a believable storyline that grabs the reader from the very first page.
The Fortemani Vineyard has not been productive and the family wants to sell, but Dante Fortemani doesn't, but its a wake-up call and he goes out to save the vineyard. Can Morgan Forster help, will they save the vineyard and get a HEA?
I do recommend this book to all.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Easy-to-read, Great world building, Happily Ever After, Inspirational, Page-turner, Romantic, and Wonderful characters

Dante is trying to hang onto his grandfather's vineyard, family legacy, despite family that wants to sell to the highest bidder and keep it moving. He is trying to find a way to convince them to hold on to the property/business. An event he is staging brings Morgan into his life. She is two things that he needs. She is a woman he is intensely attracted to and it's mutual and she is a business consultant that he can work with to achieve his goal of keeping the vineyard. She has her own reasons for attending the event at the behest of her sister-friends. Given where they both started they are good for one another and it was so much fun following along as they began their love story.

This first book in the Fortemani Family series was a great story! With the setting in Napa Valley at a winery, the imagery felt as if I was walking along the property with Dante and Morgan. Both Dante and Morgan were great characters on their own, but I also really enjoyed their banter and their steamy connection. With some tenets of grief, which I thought was handled well, along with finding yourself and standing up for what you believe. Each Dante and Morgan both had their own supportive friends, that added to the story and brought their own humor and charm. When I wasn't reading this story, I was eager to get back to it and couldn't stop thinking about it. Thank you to Tule Publishing for an advanced copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own!
