I surprised myself with this one. I initially picked this up last year after I finished a particularly smutty teacher-student story, and this one starts out with a professor having devious designs on his art therapy student. When I first started it, I wasn’t able to get into it because I thought it was predictable.

Famous last words!!!

I wasn’t able to get hooked and this was a DNF. Randomly came across the author and thought to give this another go. The part in the story where I thought it was too predictable? Just keep pushing past it.

This is a great read if you want to be surprised and off-balanced. I love a good “hero and heroine hunt down rapists” stories. Some good smut. And I absolutely love the surreal POVs when hero and heroine are under drugs or seriously injured. The hallucinations, inability to separate reality from memory… so good!

Read this when you’re feeling a little edgy and want to be shocked. Don’t read this if you want to feel mostly safe, as H+h go through it.

This must be my favourite work from this author. I had read some of her Cinderhart books. The author is capable of good and filthy smut, but I’m not a fan of dark college/reverse harem settings.

For those girls who openly root for the hero…while fantasizing about the villain.

Each book starts with a Playlist and I was very curious what music inspired Logan Fox for these novellas.

I love for an author to take me to the dark side and wallow in depravity. I find myself smiling and laughing, all too often, so I am glad this is fiction and not real life. What does this say about me? That I love an author that can take me out of my comfort zone, have me squirming in more ways than one. The perverse and twisted characters reach a climax that made me hate it when I read the last sentence…until I found there was a bonus epilogue.

I’m not sure why I didn’t give this a five star rating. I think because it felt rushed? Like something was missing, but I don’t know what. I don’t think it could have taken me to a deeper, darker place. And, as far as healing her…or himself…I will definitely be checking out more of Logan Fox’s work. Shee hits all my discomfort zones. LOL

Think I’m still processing this one. Check TWs for sure as there are some pretty rough scenes throughout this read. This is a dark professor/student romance. Charlotte meets Frye through an art therapy program where he’s the Professor. Frye is obsessed with Charlotte so we definitely get some stalking as well as some spicy 🌶️ scenes. Looking forward to reading more from this author

Needing a way to cope with her trauma Charlotte joins an Art Therapy class, where she meets Professor Gideon Fyre, who on the outside might seem like the perfect guy for the job with an art and psychology degree; but little does anyone know he likes to keep a close eye on Charlotte and not just during her classes.

When I say this man is obsessed… I mean he’s completely utterly totally obsessed; and honestly there were SO many things that should have been red flags, but instead caused swooning with an end result of being head over heels for this professor.

Professor Gideon Fyre snuck up on me, I wanted to read this one on a whim, it had a pretty cover, the tropes drew me in but then BAM! The infatuation kicked in, it hit me fast and it hit me hard 😉

Not only did this book have me infatuated, it also kept me guessing with the little pieces of info that had my curiosity spiking while other times my heart was throbbing for Charlotte and what she’s dealing with and for Gideon at what he’s already been through. Expect some soul crushing and heart breaking moments.

On the flip side my heart was also melting for Gideon and how he NEEDS to help her - even if sometimes his fixing felt like more than I could handle, this series constantly plays with the edge and it’s done so well you can’t help feeling torn.

In other words It felt impossible to put this book down, it was giving me everything and trust me this being 3 books in one didn’t stop me from devouring this trilogy in one sitting 🥵🥹💀😭

This book was enthralling from the first to the last page - full of surprises, twists you don't see coming, and the tension level stays high throughout. If you enjoy a romance with some very dark elements then this book is for you. I especially loved the chocolate lab, Arrow, and the humor she brought to the story in her own special way. Just desserts are served up, and the ending has to be the most satisfying one the story could possibly have. I can't praise this trilogy enough - suspense, stalking, obsession, trauma all around, but the strength and growth of the characters makes all the angst worth it. Definitely five out of five stars!.

I have previously read these three books individually and I feel very honored to be a part of Logan Fox's Fyre and Ash: The Complete Collection ARC Team. This is now the third time I have read each of these books and it never gets old. In fact I personally love them more with each reading. Gideon and Charlotte remain my favorite couple of all time and not only that this series remains my most favorite series that I have ever read. And, let me tell your I have read more series than I count or keep track of because I read so much. Below you will find my original reviews I posted previously for each book.

In my review for Catching Fyre I stated that this series/books were the first I have read by Logan and that I was interested in reading more books by her. I have indeed accomplished this and boy, Logan has not disappointed me. When I read books by this author I am now aware of the fact that I become obsessed to the point where I must read all of them back to back. If you are interested in reading another great series by Logan I would highly recommend you check out - The Serpents of Cinderhart Academy.

Playing with Fyre

This is my second time reading Logan Fox's book Playing with Fyre. You might be wondering why? Well, when I bought this book back in June of 2021 I loved it so much and for whatever reason did not realize it was a trilogy. I quickly read book one and turned right around and bought the second one the same day. Yep, I finished that book the same day as well and when I went to purchase book three...it wasn't yet available. I seriously thought I was going to lose my mind because I needed to know how this series all played out - what became of Fyre and Charlotte's story...how does it all end, but I had only my imagination and this was no comfort. I searched every day looking for a possible release date or to see if book three had been released yet. At some point I resigned myself to accept the fact I was just going to have to be patient and wait - being on the lookout for any updates. Reading this series over is elemental to refreshing my mind of everything that made me love the series in the first place. I needed a fresh recollection of every last word because after waiting two long years...it is finally here. Logan has breathed life into Fyre and Charlotte's story once again to simply tell us how it all ends.

In case you are wondering.....I loved this story just as much as I did the first time I read it. No, honestly I actually loved this story more the second time around and I am now anxiously counting the days down until I can finally finish Fyre and Charlotte's story - I know it is going to be epic!

Logan is a master with her words and the way she weaves these two peoples lives together was simply bewildering. I ate up every last word and became immersed with Fyre and Charlotte as if I was in the actual story with them becoming part of their shattered minds. In some weird way it all made sense and I could understand how they got to where they were at this point in their lives. Sometimes it takes one broken mind to understand another's...kindred spirits if you will.

While this book is not your typical romance story it still is a love story. A love story found within the deep dark reaches of ones mind and heart. A catalyst that set you on a new path you never saw coming or knew even existed before it was looking back at you in the mirror. Not all love stories look the same and are made up of puppy dogs and ice cream cones. Sometimes love stories don't make sense at all and you have no idea how you got there in the first place. This is one of those stories.....

Charlotte is a student in Professor Fyre's art therapy class. Students of all ages who have experienced some kind of trauma willing participate in this course trying to heal or come to terms with trauma that has wreaked havoc on their lives. Charlotte is intrigued with Gideon not only because he is handsome, but the power he has over his students. What she doesn't realize is that he is more than intrigued by her and it has quickly turned into an obsession. Gideon is a healer and he wants to help Charlotte become whole again. He sees how she hides from her trauma and holds it close within herself in a way that is not healthy. Fyre is worried about Charlotte and has begun to stalk her so he can keep her safe. He will not rest until she is put back together again and he will do whatever it takes no matter how far it may have to go. Afterall, she is his - Charlotte just doesn't know it yet...they are meant to be together forever.

Under Fyre

This is round two of reading Under Fyre for me. In fact, I have read both books in this series over again so that my mind will recall everything that has happened prior to book three becoming available. I have waited two long years for the conclusion of Gideon and Charlotte's story and I am beyond excited that it is finally here.

This is not a series for everyone as there are many triggers and this type of dark psychological romance isn't what some readers may enjoy. I have seen several negative review's for this book and Playing with Fyre. Obviously, these types of books aren't for everyone and there will most certainly be negative reviews as this happens with all books. That being said - I have never felt it was fair to the author when readers who have been warned about the subject matter leave a negative review for a book they should not have selected to read in the first place. It is also important for readers to remember this is fiction and therefore, the plot will not reflect what would happen in real life.....this is make belief. Afterall, at the end of the day a review is an opinion and what I may or may not like doesn't mean you will feel the same way. I look at reviews and whether they are negative or positive at the end of the day if I really want to read the book then I read that book. You may find that this is a series you love or don't love, but you won't know if you make a decision based off of a review alone. If I based my decision off of the negative reviews that I read two years ago for Playing with Fyre then I would have missed out on a series that I love more than I could have ever imagined. Seriously, I waited two years for Catching Fyre to become available and I can't tell you how many times I looked - it never slipped my mind and that means something.

After rereading this series I found that I loved these books more than I did two years ago. I must also admit that I forgot that Under Fyre was a much darker read than Playing with Fyre (heed extreme trigger warning for this one).

Logan Fox is an incredible author who showcased her writing ability with this book. I am still amazed with how she weaved Gideon and Charlotte's lives together through their own separate psychological issues. This plot was brilliantly thought out with impeccable pacing and perfect delivery. Logan took me on a journey that had me feeling different types of emotions. I was so connected with both Gideon and Charlotte that I was right there with them - their emotions were my emotions. I felt their hope and I felt their despair.

This book while not your typical romance story is still a romance story. It is something that was formed in the depths of both Gideon and Charlotte's mind and hearts. The deepest darkest parts of their minds and hearts where two lost souls found a thin thread which brought them together to this point in their lives

In this book we begin to see Charlotte making progress with her treatment. Gideon is proving to her that he truly can help her. Although, it may be unorthodox he understands what she needs and is leading her down the path towards healing. Gideon also finally begins to open up and share his story with Charlotte. This gives her a better understanding of why he is doing what he does, although, it still doesn't make it okay at least she knows where his mind and heart are with his actions. Now out of nowhere things have changed when his nemesis comes to take everything away. Will Gideon find her in time or is he condemned to a life where everything he loves is lost to him forever?

Catching Fyre

I am having problems trying to write this review because I don't even know where to start or what to say. My mind is all over the place and I am bursting with excitement from the reader high I am floating on at the moment. Maybe I need to wait two years to write this review as I did for Playing With Fyre and Under Fyre. Back when I first read these books I just didn't write reviews and I can't even tell you why. In anticipation for the release of Catching Fyre I went back and reread both of these books and left a review. Those reviews were easy to formulate and my little fingers could barely keep up with my mind. I guess it could be the fact I had two years to process what I had read and now I am just too giddy from the conclusion of Gideon and Charlette's story. I know one thing for sure...I want to go read this book again and I mean like right after I finish this review.

Two long years I have waited for Catching Fyre and Logan Fox made it worth the wait. Logan blows me away with her creative genius mind and her ability to keep the reader anticipating what will happen next. While there may be some predictable moments there are plenty that are not. The way Gideon and Charlotte became a part of each others twisted minds was interesting to watch. There has never been an author like Logan to captivate my mind this much or for this long making me obsessed with a couple that even after two years I could not forget about them. The fact that Logan was able to do this speaks volumes to her mastery in her craft. I have a few authors that are my most favorite and Logan has become one of those authors. Not only that, I have read so many books making it impossible to keep count of them, but I can tell you Fyre & Ashes Series is my absolute favorite and these two are my favorite couple. My biggest pet peeve I have in relation to an author is when there is no real closure to the book. I love that Logan not only provided an epilogue, but she also provided a bonus epilogue for Gideon and Charlotte's story making this the perfect conclusion. She did not leave anything unanswered.

I could not even in my wildest imagination guess how Logan was going to write Catching Fyre. But, it sure wasn't the final master piece she delivered - it truly was more than I anticipated. Yes, it was beyond my expectations and as a fan I love her for that. This book had me all over the place with my emotions from fear to anxiety to joy to excitement and back to fear and finally there was peace and an overabounding amount of love. This was not only a dark romance novel, but it truly was a thriller that packed a lot of action - there was not a dull moment to be had in this story.

This book starts off with us seeing Gideon relive the day that ruined his life and made him who he is now. It truly was heartbreaking to witness and made me feel an extreme amount of empathy towards him. Fast forward to the present and he is now just waking up after the accident they were in only to find Charlotte is gone. At first he thinks she just walked off, but Arrow shows him signs that this was not the case. Now Gideon is losing his mind because his nemesis Red has got her in his clutches. He is racing against the clock to find Charlotte in time before she ends up just like his wife and daughter.....another victim of Red's. Poor Charlotte wakes up to find herself thrust back into the nightmare that haunts her...the toy box. Charlotte is filled with an extreme amount of fear and must bid her time and play the game so she has a chance of escaping. Deep down inside though Charlotte knows her only real chance of surviving is for Gideon to find her. What ensues is the craziest ride that neither Gideon or Charlotte could have ever dreamed of even if they tried.

These are the only books I have read by Logan, but that is about to change. I am very interested to see how her other books compare to this series. Fyre and Ashes Series is one I highly recommend to those readers who like very dark psychological romance thrillers - this one has it all and then some.....you won't be disappointed.

This is the complete series of Charlotte and Gideon's story. The author does a great job bringing the pages to life with his descriptive scenes as he takes you into their lives. He brings some dark and twisted happenings along with the heat and delivers a crazy, twisted and steamy read. This book isn't for everyone so beware of the trigger warnings before reading.

Average rating of this trilogy boxset: 3.25 ⭐️
I wrote reviews for each of the three parts of this boxset as I read and have shared them below. Thank you to Booksprout and the author for the ARC.

Playing With Fyre, Part One
3 ⭐️
I requested an ARC of this boxset because I liked the tropes advertised and have seen this author recommended online for the kind of dark stories I enjoy. I do like the ideas/tropes and the writing style, however this "book one" is a ninety page prequel of sorts, and it is very sped up, cramming a lot of things in that would really be better served in a more thoroughly explored full-length book. There are two more short novellas/books to go still, but from the point where this one ends we have already lost most of the opportunity for the development of characters/relationship and plot that would have really made the events in this short shine.

I had the feeling as I was reading that this seemed like one of those anthology stories that have to meet a certain truncated length requirement, and after finishing I did see that was likely the case here: this was initially featured in the Stalkers anthology, which I bought but never read (that is par for the course for me with those anthos). I honestly think this story should have been expanded rather than just continued before republishing, for the reasons I said above.

I will definitely continue on in my ARC of the boxset to see how the author chose to go from the cliffhanger ending of this short, and I am eager for more of the darkness and to see what happens, but unless something completely unforeseen happens, I can't imagine I will be changing my mind about personally thinking this should have been expanded.

Under Fyre, Part Two
3.5 ⭐️

As I stated in my review for Part One above, I liked the ideas introduced but felt they were not explored enough and that it was sped up to a point where it felt short-changed. I enjoyed the concepts and the writing enough to be curious about where things were going, so I continued on to this part, the second of three (and was pleased that this part is almost twice as long as the first one).

Happily for me, part two takes the time to delve into its concepts in the way I wish part one had. It reads like a different book really, and though you have to accept some things about the characters and their feelings that aren't quite earned from the lack of development in book one in order to continue on, I didn't find that too much of a hardship because the goings-on in this one were so interesting and more evenly presented.

It has the dark elements I like, done in a little bit different way from the usual so that it strikes a slightly unique chord. Could a few things have used more development and detail? Yes. But I think it really improved on the too fast/underdeveloped part one while maintaining a still relatively fast-paced, engaging readability.

After finishing this part, I can say if you like dark romance (check trigger warnings for this series if you are someone who needs to) this one is worth a try, you just might have to push past the short part one if you are troubled by the things I was with it, to get to this more evenly written part one. I'll be reading part three next, and am eager to see if my perseverance pays off.

Catching Fyre, Part Three
3.25 ⭐️

Catching Fyre is the final installment in this trilogy, and it maintains the more evenly paced writing of part two (rather than the too fast, uneven feeling of the first part). It also fully realized the change from a sort-of instalove/stalker romance of part one to the more romantic suspense/horror story that it became. As someone who felt the romantic feelings between the main couple were not really earned by the development, and with the emphasis more on the suspense/villains the longer the story went on, I'm left at the end really feeling this is more like a contemporary suspense than the dark stalker romance it is billed as. I don't have an issue with that kind of story-I often read and watch those kinds of stories and enjoy them-I'm just mentioning this in case that is not something you are into.

Similar to part two, more time is spent on each idea in this final section than in part one, but it is still pretty basic, so it skirts the line between not being enough information/development/detail and being just enough to enjoy the quick read without being bogged down by too much. I was more in the mood for a quick read this time around, so it worked for me (except for the romance/relationship development, which I still think is lacking overall).

As I've said in my reviews for part one and two, I recommend reading the boxset, since each part is too short to warrant separate purchases. And check warnings, it has several dark elements including non-con and graphic violence.

This trilogy was my first book by this author, and I enjoyed the voice/writing enough that I am definitely going to try some others by them to see if they work better for me, as this story was kind of middle of the road for me, landing slightly on the positive side mostly because of my mood in looking for an easy, quick read.

Final housekeeping note: As I said, I am reading an ARC of the boxset that releases 10/31/2023. These three stories are already published as single titles, but the boxset is definitely the way to go if you are checking them out as from a reader perspective there is just no reason to separate books under 200 pages like all of these are. I really appreciate when authors combine series into boxsets like this, and this one has a great cover too. The ARC I read clearly used the files from those previously published single titles, complete with cover pictures, but there are still at least 50 errors that haven't been corrected since those were published. Because they didn't impact my reading experience much I did not change my rating any for them, but I am mentioning them despite this being an ARC because they were already published books and because some readers care more about that kind of thing than others (including me).

With this box set you get all three books in the “Fyre and Ash” Trilogy. Definitely check the trigger warnings before reading. This is definitely not for the faint of heart.

•Book One-Playing With Fyre:
*4 stars*
While I enjoyed the book, this didn’t leave me knowing that it will stay with me for weeks or longer after finishing it. This can be read in less than a day, which gives me the impression that this is just a peek at what is to come with Gideon and Charlotte.

Both are damaged in their own way. But it seems that together, they make sense no matter how morally grey they both are. I love an alpha male who isn’t afraid to burn the world for his woman. Yet Gideon didn’t quite hit the mark for me. I could see his sweet and loving side, but with him in the career he is in, I don’t see how he is okay with his choices for Charlotte. Nor do I see how he still has a job in that field.

I didn’t click with Charlotte. At all. My heart goes out to her and I feel her pain. But I love the female leads being strong and the types to take no crap from anyone because they survived. I mean I love when they have their vulnerabilities show, but they don’t roll over just because they love the bad guy.

I’m hoping with book two, Charlotte starts to find her inner baddy and can redeem herself to me. I’m also hoping that Gideon doesn’t let his inner crazy take complete control, and is able to see he is/can cause more damage to Charlotte than his is.

•Book Two-Under Fyre:
*4.75 stars*

This is book two of this series and should not be read as a standalone. It picks up where book one left off.

Okay, so I was on the fence about Gideon in book one. I wanted to love him. I really did. But he gave me the creeps. Why did I continue to book two? Because I knew deep down there was something about him…and I NEEDED to know why he was behaving the way he was! I’m glad I did because I got more details and history about his life before Charlotte. He is slowly stealing my heart. The more he explains his actions, the more I understand them.

Charlotte is still a little too weak and submits too quickly for my liking. She is slowly finding her voice and becoming the woman she is meant to be, but she hasn’t completely. I do give her kudos for not completely losing her mind when there are times it would be totally understandable.

I’m excited to see how Logan Fox takes these two on an adventure of survival, keeping their sanity and finding their way back to each other in order to get their HEA.

•Book Three-Catching Fyre:
*4.75 stars*
Okay. After reading the conclusion to this trilogy, I can say that I am pleasantly impressed with the growth of both Gideon and Charlotte.

I was hoping that Charlotte would be determined to be stronger and grow stronger instead of submitting to her weaknesses and being a rag doll. I wasn’t disappointed and by the end (and mainly the bonus epilogue (link provided at the end) she was definitely giving off some Harley Quinn vibes. I was totally there for it.

I loved that Gideon stopped at nothing to save Charlotte. I loved how when he found himself in a situation, he didn’t succumb to weakness and staid determined to get himself out of it.

I loved that they both got the revenge and closure they needed to continue to heal and get their HEA.

This is the first series I have read by Logan Fox and won’t be the last.

I received an advanced readers copy via Booksprout. These thoughts and opinions are my own.

CHECK THE TW

Warning: extreme dark-rom with very graphic scenes of trauma. be aware.
Book 1:

We get to know both Charlotte and Professor Feyre, and his obsession with Charlotte. Charlotte is professor Feyre's student. Professor Feyre leads Charlotte trauma-art-class. After class we learn how much Feyre is actually obsessed with Charlotte, and what really happened to Charlotte, out of Feyre's perpective. But when the same psycho of Charlotte's past threatens to destroy her piece Feyre is willing to risk everything for her.

TW:
- explicit violent scenes
- r@pe
- s@mnophili@
- pedophilia
- dub-con/non-con
- breath play
- Torture
- SA / abuse
- Drugs & alcohol
- Kidnapping / captivity
- mention of suicidal thoughts etc.

I had a hard time in the beginning with Feyre basically being two-faced. Hating the guy who had r@ped Charlotte, while also wanting to take her, forced or not.

in book 2 we learn more about who Feyre, Gideon really is and what happened to his family. We also get to know his dog Arrow, who's adorable. Gideon reveals in this book what kind of work he's really doing. After the revenge Feyre had taken in the last book, both Feyre and Charlotte must face the consequences, with the threat of dead looming over them.

- pedophilia
- dub-con/non-con
- breath play
- Torture
- SA / abuse
- Drugs & alcohol
- Kidnapping / captivity
- mention of suicidal thoughts etc.

Book 3:
After the cliff-hanger of book 2, Feyre is struggling to survive without Charlotte and is doing everything he can to get her back. And eventually he does, unfortunate for both of them the threat isn't over yet, and they must work together to get rid of their stalker, before he gets them first.

The set was pretty fast-paced, my personal favorite was the 3rd book, since it was the most action-packed. In book 1 and half of book 2, I didn't really like Feyre, since he was kinda forcing himself upon Charlotte, after that she did gave consent.

Feyre is not a good person, nor the hero nor the villain. More like morally-grey. He even asks himself multiple times in the series whether he's just as deranged as the men that hurt Charlotte.

Charlotte is a girl running from her demons and scared of reliving her trauma, but she doesn't remember much of it due to PTSD.

Arrow, Feyre's dog is an angel I love her so much, and I don't understand why anyone would abuse a dog as sweet as her.

I liked the series even though I had a hard time getting over the somnophilia kink etc. But if you're into dark romance with a kind of thriller/horror vibe this could be your book.

This was a difficult collection for me to review. The writing style and storyline was gripping and captivating worthy of a 5 star rating. The execution had me stumped and the graphic horrific details had me cringing throughout the books.
The blurb was a great hook despite the multiple warnings. I wanted to know how this author would deal with and resolve the trauma and issues both the heroine (FMC) and the hero (anti-hero? MMC) went through in their pasts.
I also wanted to know if there would be a relatively healthy and sustainable relationship for this couple at the end.
Possible Spoiler Ahead?
The first book was my favorite as the author set up the backstory and premise for Fyre’s obsession with Charlotte.
I thought, oh great-he has a plan to overlay Charlotte’s abuse and bad memories with his own slightly healthier version and healing would occur.
I was still in Fyre’s corner at the end of this book, and had high hopes in him being able to help Charlotte with her deep seated trauma.
The second book was my least favorite with Fyre’s own trauma was revealed as my heart broke for him. Too much graphic detail and pain. Too much abuse and sick scenes that were totally opposite of sensual, sexy, or redeeming.
The third book was better, but it didn’t work for me.
At this point, I was totally ready for the revenge and retribution to begin. I like my main characters to be smarter, and stronger than the villains. The villains were so epically horrible and were portrayed way too smart in this conclusion to Fyre and Charlotte’s story.
The main couple had already succumbed to horrific abuse by the villians in their past, did they have to be abused again in their current life? Did the villians have to be one step ahead and get to do the vile things to the main characters again?
The details of their subsequent captures and abuse were graphic and went on seemingly forever. By the time the revenge came about, my mind was still filled with the horrors of what they both went through again.
The final psyche of both characters at the end had me wondering….were they a better version of themselves? I still can’t really wrap my head around it.
I did like the retribution arc with their newfound goals to decimate the “monsters”, but the line between Fyre’s methods and the enemy was barely visible.
Spoiler Alert ended
Kudos to the author’s writing in creating this dark reality where only greater darkness seemed to be the answer, but this one dwelled on the horror more than redemption for me.

Goodness, where to start. This series had me so up in my feels, I legit felt utter heartbreak at times, intense anger, extreme vindication and absolute joy. And good lawd, the spice had a girl needing a VERY cold shower.... or fifty. When I say this is a DARK romance, I'm VERY highly stressing on the "dark" part, so, before going in, seriously check your triggers coz, as amazing a read this series is, the ride to the end is quite rough at times.

Spoilers!!!

The series introduces Charlotte, the mfc, who has undergone some serious trauma and is going to an art therapy class recommended by her therapist, which happens to be taught by our mmc, Gideon Fyre.

Gideon, himself, has endured serious trauma; the loss of his wife and young daughter, who were both brutally attacked and murdered. He's been irrevocably changed by their deaths, and now, between helping heal those who have suffered traumas, he hunts those who cause that suffering.

Gideon knew immediately, though, when first seeing Charlotte, she was going to be special to him, and that knowledge begins his obsession with her, leading to his stalking of her. He knows he wants her in every way possible, that he's fallen head over heels for her, but he also knows he can help heal her because Charlotte is just a shell, merely existing since what happened to her. In truth, she cares very little about whether she lives or dies. There are moments she feels something, and that's usually in her art class, when she fantasizes about Gideon. She wants him, but she doesn't act on it. What Charlotte went through has left her a bit broken. Gideon refuses to let her continue on the way she is, a shell of a human, so he does what any logical person would, he takes her against her will, and Fyre therapy is now in session.

As Gideon works to help heal Charlotte, he hunts the monster that hurt her and those like him. In finding and punishing the man responsible for Charlotte's suffering, it causes a ripple effect Gideon never saw coming, putting him face-to-face with Red, the man who murdered his family and Charlotte on his radar, in harm's way. It's up to Gideon to save her, or, like his family, lose her forever.

This series grips you like a vice and holds you captive till the very end. You will laugh, you will cry, you will fan yourself, you will scream at your tablet, phone or book in a visceral rage, and you will end up with bags under your eyes from lack of sleep as well as sore fingers from turning the pages so fast out of desperation to find out what happens next. Like I said, this is VERY dark, but it's oh. So. Very. Very. Good!!! Can not recommend enough!!!

Up front I will say this is a very DARK, psychotic, and disturbing book. Both in mind and body. Very psychological in nature. We have a confused wounded victim and a psychopath psychiatrist. Who is obsessed with the victim and determined to help heal her. Even though he’s damaged himself. With the death of his family by a man named Red Hutchins.
Charlotte Ash is our MFC.
Professor Gideon Fyre is our MMC. He has degrees I’m mutable things, including Art and Psychology Degrees. In his art glasses he teaches trauma victims. Charlotte being one.
The class was a fix between the ages of 15 to 70, and had been attacked in some way and left traumatized.
The Professor is somewhat unhinged and is obsessed with Charlotte. In the art class he tell her.. “ I want you to bleed. Slice yourself open, Charlotte. Pour all your anger, your rage, your pain” he glances away, taps the corner of my black drawing, “onto this page…Dig deeper Charlotte, dig until you see bone.”
And..
“Sometimes it’s difficult to expose your most hidden self when there are strangers around,”
He is obsessed with Charlotte, following her home and staying outside her house, watching over her. She too is obsessed with him. Even later in the story she thinks to herself that when she looks at him, she sees a man, even though she knows he’s a monster. The Professor loves her and is determined to help her heal. Doing some not so nice stuff to achieve it.
Peter Monroe had kidnapped Charlotte and held her for seven days.
Torturing her horribly. Leaving her with scars on the outside and inside. Leaving her unable to have children. She had been victim number three but find out later there were a total of twelve. And when he was picked up on another charge, he was let go on a technicality.
Fyre kidnaps Peter, torturing, him and mangling him for not just Charlotte but himself. Fyre couldn’t stand the thought he had hurt his Charlotte. (At this point we know both Fyre and Charlotte loves each other) and making Peter tell him where the other girls bodies were as Fyre tortures him. The thing that Peter says that sticks with Fyre the most .. “I FOUND GOD IN HER EYES”...
Unfortunately bad times still ahead for them. And there is no one else that would understand what the other has gone thru.
Read this very UNNERVING and DARK book to read every word from beginning to end. Find out what life holds for them. There are so much in these three books.. “Playing with Fyre”, “Under Fyre”, “Catching Fyre”.
I highly recommend this for those readers who enjoy dark, haunting, chilling, and brutal stories, you will love this.

Therapist Gideon Fyre has seen the worst of mankind, its sickest and most depraved, so when Charlotte Ash joins his art therapy class, he’s not surprised by the harrowing details of her trauma. What he is surprised by is how quickly she becomes an obsession. He begins to stalk her, telling himself it’s to keep the woman he loves safe, but he’s no less a dangerous predator himself.

Charlotte is just going through the motions of life. She eats a little, she sleeps (thanks to heavy medication), she tries to avoid thinking. The only bright spot in her life is her art therapy class. She has a crush on Professor Fyre but no idea that he’s become fixated on her and no way of knowing how twisted he really is.

Fyre has a dark plan to fix his broken Charlotte, but it’s going to be brutal, especially as she’s not a willing participant. His unconventional methods do begin to work and Charlotte finds herself in love with him. But when an evil specter from Fyre’s past rises, Charlotte’s in more danger than ever, and he will burn the world down to save her.

These books are dark, and darkly brilliant. Fyre’s psychopathy is fascinating, especially as he psychoanalyzes himself. You can’t help but be horrified and cheering him on at the same time. He’s an anti-hero in the vein of Dexter.

You have to wonder what Charlotte was like before these truly awful things happened to her, but surely any trace of that girl has been obliterated by the end. You’re left wondering whether Fyre fixed Charlotte or just broke her for good.

If you like dark romance, you can’t go wrong with this extremely well-written trilogy. If you’re only curious about dark romance, you might want to start out with something a little less pitch black. Mind the trigger warnings!!.

'what am I reading' ' why am I reading this' two thoughts I often had while reading the Fyre and Ashes trilogy.

It feels wrong to say I enjoyed it, but I can't say I didn't either. It's a book that will stay with me. It's all consuming and different from alot of books out there.

It centre's around Gideon Fyre and Charlotte Ash, two broken souls, both victims, but one is deep in the throes of recovery or finding an out, (it's a toss up) and one is an honoured art therapist, but also so much more. Fyre is obsessed with Charlotte and wants her to fully recover so they can be together and she can be her true self. Gideon is an anti hero and Charlotte his obsession.

I had no idea how to feel while reading this, was I happy, sad, outraged, turned on, angry, repulsed, shocked, over stimulated, confused, satisfied? In all honesty I probably felt all those things, sometime multiple things at once while devouring this read. It is a complete mindf**k of a read and it will stay with you for better or worse.

The characters are multifaceted, intriguing, broken, unhinged but feel real and tangible. The writing is excellent, drawing you in, keeping you engaged and feeling everything, whether you want to or not.

I will definitely be needing a light and funny read after this, there is no overwhelming HEA here that will clear or cancel out the things you have read. This book has trigger warnings, read them and abide by them, there are there for your safety and preference.

I am glad I read this, it was a great psychological read, with so much more added in and kept me captive until the end.

Nothing is ordinary with how Fyre and Ash unfolds from page 1. Logan Fox spins a tale that messes with your hearts and heads. The story is one big red flag that will have its haunches in you long after the epilogue has ended.

The story is told from Charlotte and Gideon’s perspectives. There is a chapter narrated through their adorable Lab, Arrow’s perspective but the series, almost entirely is a twisted tale with no pink hearts at the end. It was like falling in love with the lesser of the evils with the perk that the lesser evil is hot as hell.

Don’t take it otherwise, I was blown away by the tale. I spent my whole weekend reading it because anything else was not acceptable.

Gideon and Charlotte face a lot during and before the events of the books. The events of the book are very graphic. There is also some forced substance abuse so the readers will experience some confusion at the same time as the characters. This psychological angle to the series was the most captivating factor of their story.

Gideon Fyre is an anti-hero whose past packs a punch like that of a villain origin story. Fox has not left any traumatic incident from the book. Charlotte and Gideon will invade your psyche and I seriously recommend a lighter read following the book to soften the attack of the twistedness of Fyre and Ash.

DO NOT FORGET TO READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS! I absolutely do not want the readers of this review to go bashing the book before considering what the book will lay before them. Bashing the book even after you were warned is not in the spirit of reading.

Fyre and Ash is a boxset containing all three stories in the Fyre series! Amazing series!!!

First, there’s Playing with Fyre, the dark, disturbing story of obsession, despair, fear, escape, surrender, and recovery (maybe?). Whatever it is….it is incredibly addictive, creepy, and mesmerizing….It follows Gideon Fyre and Charlotte Ash. He’s a therapist and she’s in his class. But, there are things she doesn’t know…dark things…and things she is trying to escape…that no one knows. OMG!!!!! This story was so freaking good!!!!! I STILL don’t really know anything about these two and their relationship. There is a pretty major cliffhanger….and another book to come in this series!!! I AM HOOKED!!!!!!!

Next is, Under Fyre, the continuing story of Gideon and Charlotte!! BAM!!!!! This story just gets better and better!!! Reading it sends shivers down my spine and gives me goosebumps!! There’s a certain level of shock, fright, and intensity in this somewhat creepy story….fascinating look at pain and healing…absolutely fascinating read!!

Finally, there’s Catching Fyre, the conclusion of the story of Gideon and Charlotte!! BAM!!!!! Whew!!! Who could have predicted this morbid, creepy outcome!! Again, this story just sends shivers down my spine and gives me goosebumps!! There’s a huge level of shock, terror, and morbidity…that you will dream of it for days!! Fascinating look at pain, healing, and redemption!!!

Broken tragedies

What happens when a broken person falls for another damaged soul? They do everything they can to fix the damage right? Problem is they are broken, their thoughts are twisted and wrong but for all the right reasons. What happens when a damaged person is in love with a broken person? They are consumed by their love but can't trust it because they are damaged they can't trust how they feel. But broken and damaged collide, so can to wrongs make a right or will they set the world on fire? What's that saying play with fire and you might get burned. Read this deliciously tragic tale!

Blood shed heroically

Nothing is as it seems. Dark truths are revealed in this sequel. Passions are shared. Fear released amongst the smoky haze of lust and love. After a single moment in time, the catalyst in the biggest disruption spirals Ash and Fyre must dig deep to come out of this one...the conclusion is definitely set up for anticipation and I can't wait.

Fractured minds

With time winding down and avengment underway our broken damaged souls are put through it. Can they finally come out in one piece? Will they be whole? Can the exposure therapy save them or will they be fractured or worse. This boxset is so entertaining from beginning to end. It's dark, gruesome, deviant, and sexy in ways that make your skin tingle and crawl... what could be better?.

This is a dark read which gets darker as the series progresses with both off and on page trauma for just about every character.

I engaged with Charlotte and Fyre from chapter one. I loved how Charlotte grew throughout the course of the series when she started in such a broken place. I was rooting for her throughout and some of her scenes are truly heartbreaking. Likewise with Fyre, when his past is revealed he became so much more than a standard possessive anti-hero and his relationship with Arrow showed another side of him. Despite knowing Charlotte's inner thoughts about him from the start, I liked how she didn't get swept away by Fyre and although his means are questionable, Fyre recognises himself how brutal his methods are and is prepared for the fallout.

I love a revenge plot and enjoyed that element even if it took a very dark turn in book three which was a tough read with some pretty graphic sections. Book one was probably my favourite as I didn't see that victim twist coming (if anything I would loved to have had that plotline go on a bit longer).

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely and I have added all the authors works to my TBR!.

Playing with Fyre- Gideon is an art therapist and Charlotte is one of his students whose suffered past traumas, their attraction is undeniable but strictly forbidden, can they become each others savior? or will Charlotte get burnt playing with fyre? this is well written short read with dark twisting themes, an age gap therapist/patient romance with lots of emotion and complexity within. a must read for fans of Logan Fox!

Under Fyre- Gideon's obsession knows no bounds, holding Charlotte captive under the guise of exposure therapy, she becomes more entwined to his wants and desires but feels wrong even when her body feels right. Gideon has motives beyond just his need for her but for revenge. will Charlotte ever be able to escape or want to? this book ends on another suspense filled cliffhanger! the story draws you in with many dark and twisting scenes the way Gideon and Charlotte respond to each other is captivating and i cant wait to find out what happens next!

catchng fyreThe dramatic conclusion for Charlotte and Fyres story, their darkness draws you in and the twists and turns to come holds your attention through out. We see the past traumas they have both experience come to the forefront and you'll be holding your emotions all over.

💜 Disclaimer: I received this trilogy book via Booksprout for free. This review is my unbiased view and given freely and voluntarily. I have not been paid for this review 💜

Thank you so much Logan for entrusting me with such a wonderful copy of your work. I couldn't wait to dive into the world of the unhinged, as promised!

Please read the trigger warnings, but if like me, they are just a menu at this point, dive right in.

From the start I was swept along and drawn in with this suspenseful lust filled and disturbing read. Age gap, stalker and dark erotica. Did I mention the lust filled spice 🌶️🔥🥵

The cliffhangers in Playing with Fyre (book 1) and Under Fyre (book 2) were brutal 😱☠️. My heart was in my mouth and I'm so glad I only had to turn the page to keep reading the next installment in this trilogy.

I do like dual POV's, so as well as both Charlotte and Gideon being interesting characters, as a reader, I had an insight into their complex pasts, and how this played out in their behaviours. As well as their story unfolding and keeping me in suspense and wondering what was going to happen next in their dark and deprived world.

Catching Fyre (book three) was such a gripping finale to this trilogy. I was both horrified and intrigued at times, but could not put this dramatic conclusion down. An absolute must for lovers of devilishly dark romance 🖤🥀

**Read those trigger warnings, but for those who have no triggers jump right in
This is a love story, just a different kind of love story filled with darkness and trauma but in the end, they are very much in love. I’ve read all three books before, this will be the second time I’ve reread them. I always focus in on something new, probably because I’m a speed reader and miss some details. The first book we are introduced to the characters and you are left with a lot of questions but you are hooked and want to devour book two. The second book is fast paced and Gideon’s background is explored and you are left with a doozy of a cliffhanger wondering how it’s all going to work out. Then book three starts where two left off. I feel this is the darkest of the three books and makes you wonder if you will get the ending you want. The epilogue had me pumping my fist in the air because those who should be punished are and vengeance is sweet. At the end of this book you can sign up for the author’s VIP reader’s club and get an exclusive extra bonus epilogue which peeks into the future for Gideon and Charlotte. I love this series and you won’t be disappointed.

I totally devoured this book. All 3 books in the Fyre and Ash series are together in this book.
So buckle up buttercup and hold on tight for this twisted journey. Please be sure to check TW before reading. If you love the darkness you will want to read this suspenseful, emotional, twisted, erotic story.
Charlotte the FMC I totally loved this broken soul. My heart ached for her. Fyre the MMC in all his darkness he helps Charlotte find the light. His story is heartbreaking. And Arrow his dog is amazing. She is like an emotional support dog and also a protector.
Together they hunt down all the evil monsters that defile women plus they come to terms with their own demons. There is some crazy stuff in here that will make your head spin. It's amazing what some men will do for their own pleasure with no concern for the trauma they cause to their victims.
I enjoyed how their relationship grew throughout the story. They were both attracted to each other from day one. And as they spend time together their bond grows and strengthens into a forever love. It's priceless.
Logan is an amazing author. I love all her books. I highly recommend this book. The story flows nicely. All the characters are well developed. It's a must read.

This is dark, twisted and intense series. It follows Fyre and Charlotte. Thrilling and captivating, it is a fantastic read! Below are my individual reviews of the books from the Fyre and Ash series.

Playing with Fyre
This is a deliciously dark and thrilling stalker, age gap romance. This is a fast paced novella that is well written and gives an excellent introduction to the characters. Gideon is intense and obsessive but non the less likable.

Under Fyre
This second installment in the Fyre & Ashes get even more twisted and dark. This is an intense story with dual POVs. I like the dynamics between Gideon and Charlotte. This had me on the edge of my seat the entire time even with the final words. I can't wait for the next book!

Catching Fyre
This is the conclusion to the Fyre and Ashes series, a dark stalker romance. It is dark, twisted and full of triggers. A captivating read with steamy kink and action. Fyre might be a psycho but is a lovable one with some very swoonworthy moments. Both Fyre and Charlotte might be broken but they find something together and might even heal.

The cover is SO pretty! I want this in paperback just so I can look at the beautiful cover all the time.

I'm so happy the three books come in one collection because each book picksnup right where the other one left off. The books have a little of everything. There's suspense, horror, romance, steam, messed up characters. I adore it!

I loved Gideon Fyre as soon as he appeared on the page. I won't make excuses for him, but when someone goes through what he has, you're bound to get messed up. Same for Charlotte. My heart hurt with every flashback, and I feel so, so bad for everything shes gone through. And Arrow, goodness. Maybe it's because I have a brown Labrador, but I absolutely adored her.

All in all, this was a complete roller-coaster of a read. I laughed, I gasped, I sobbed. I even cheered.

I'm going to take a few days to process. And then I'm re-reading the whole thing. And I'll probably read it again after that.

I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I would advise reading the TWs as this is a very dark book. My emotions were all over the place and my heart broke for Charlotte. Charlotte has suffered so much trauma in her life that her only saving grace is going to Professor Fyres art classes whom she has feelings for. Gideon Fyre is also a psychologist and wants desperately to help Charlotte as he’s obsessively in love with her. I may not understand the way he goes on to help Charlotte deal with her past but as the book goes on we learn that he has suffered traumas too. They become each others rocks but the ride to a hea is not a smooth one. Such a gripping, emotional and well written story that had me crying and rooting for the characters, couple of cliffhangers but this being a box set didn’t have long to wait for the continuation. Loved how Charlotte just became stronger and stronger and how much they loved each other. The final chapter was just amazing and the revenge scene had me gasping and cheering at the same time. Read the bonus epilogue too and wow just wow.

Playing with Fyre:
First in a trilogy that you need to read in order. It’s an interesting story filled with trauma, triggers and obsession.

Under Fyre:
Wow, what a ride this book was. This is the second book in a trilogy, and needs to be read in order. This is an interesting continuation filled with more trauma, obsession but also healing. And spice. And a sweet dog. And we get more insight to Fyre and why he became what he is.

Catching Fyre:
Wow, what an intense end to this trilogy. This one had me in a chokehold until the last chapter. We learn a lot more about why Fyre is the way he is, and it’s heartbreaking! I love that he found Charlotte and got another shot at being happy. Even if he went about it a little messed up. But again, that’s how he is, and Charlotte isn’t exactly normal or sane either so they fit. They complete eachother. And omg Arrow, such a sweet and protective dog. I love her so much!

Bonus scene at the end:
That was an interesting insight to their relationship after the end of Catching Fyre. Even if it was mostly spicy stuff.

I am completely stunned! Fyre and Ash are so scarred by tragedy and trauma that there should never be any chance for them to survive whole. The triggers are real, they run through the entire story, and it’s a lot to take. However, Logan Fox, brilliantly writes this story about survival with strong characters, evil men, and twists that have more twists. Getting both POV was crucial to understanding their motivations, their strength, and their psyche.

Charlotte Ash is damaged physically, mentally, and emotionally: she’s had therapy, medication, and still suffers constantly. Gideon Fyre is on a mission to rid the world of predators and Charlotte needs him to help her. Their lives entwine, their needs mesh, and their souls recognize each other’s underneath all the pain. I was mesmerized by their connection, her courage, and his determination. This is extremely dark and sad for most of the book, but the bonus epilogue was beautifully poignant!.
