While out to dinner, Katie & Tom witness an argument between an obnoxious bartender, Joey, and a waitress. Joey brings them a drink concoction and asks Katie to walk his dog the following day. When Katie arrives, she realizes that Joey didn’t give her a key. She hears a dog crying in distress. Revealing her ability to communicate with animals, she learns that Joey is dead. Katie calls David to the scene and takes temporary custody of the puppy, Reveille. She also meets Joey’s roommate, Rodrigo, a talented musician who is scoring the film Juno is working on. Juno is smitten, leading to a potential new love connection. They learn that Joey had a gambling problem & Rob infiltrates an underground poker game to look for clues. When Katie practices her auramancy on some of the players, she gets a strange result bringing into question dark magic at play in the murder. She also has some encounters with women who may be dark witches.
Book 7 in the dog walker series offers a complicated mystery and a cliffhanger ending. Katie meets the rest of Tom’s family and has a nice time with them. In the end, David decides to adopt Reveille ensuring that he will have a good home. Reveille is a charming addition and even Biscuit is won over by him. Hopefully we will see him in later books. While Katie senses things off from the dark magic around, she still doesn’t know what threat it poses to her. David is starting to question Katie’s magic as well despite not really believing in it. Will Katie have to reveal her secret to him?.

All I have to say is that this has to be my favorite of the series yet! It started off with a date between Tom and Katie (after finding out Petunia did not eat the toy truck, lol) at the Broken Drum, where they know the owner, Billy. An argument breaks out about the behavior by Joey, one of the bartenders. He asks Katie to walk his dog, Reveille. Mayhem and mischief ensues. It’s another case for Katie and Tom. Rob & Juno have some cool stuff happening movie wise. Rob is waaay funny in this book and a bit crazy. Tom is awesome and Katie is being stalked by weird people who disappear. So much happens in this book, to even begin to summarize it. You just have got to read this series if you like animals. As Katie can talk to a lot of them. I can’t wait to find out what is next! The books just keep getting better and better.

Love this series, it’s so witchy and cosy with great characters and a pet/ familiar Biscuit. Katie Houseman a young witch who can talk to animals . She is still on the trail for answers off her parents murder with dark witches in the mix she’s in a fix . Aunt Zorian her mentor makes an appearance too. Along with her boyfriend Tom the veterinarian and biscuit she delves into a murder mystery as her judgement is clouded , is it maybe because it’s someone she didn’t get along with ?… She tries her best but to what personal costs . Great read for a cold night. Compelling page-turner.

Broomsticks and Alibis: A Paranormal Cozy Mystery is book #7 in the Cats Walking Dogs And Solving Mysteries series by Corrine Winters.
This was my favorite so far! I really like the human characters, but Reveille, Biscuit, and Chloe stole the show for me. Katie has grown so much through this series. It was an interesting mystery because it wasn’t clear if magic was involved. There is still the overarching mystery about dark magic and danger to Katie. I look forward to the next book!

An enjoyable paranormal mystery featuring a magical dog walker and one of the cutest dogs. It is book 7 in the series but could be read as a standalone. Reveille is the sweetest. I hope he is in future books in the series. Although there is a cliffhanger at the end the featured mystery is resolved.

Another mystery involving dark witches, talking animals, and this time and arrogant bartender who is an excellent mixologist, but a complete jerk ends up murdered. Another fun filled mystery getting more complicated and a little harder to solve. Keep reading.

Amazing as always! This series has everything I love; magic, animals, a person who can talk to the animals, just perfect! And what an ending! I can’t wait to read the next book!
