Sienna y Denver son los protagonistas de esta historia de romance tan cuqui (aún así, quiero destacar que hay algún momento de toxicidad, pero nada exagerado).

Es una lectura perfecta para desconectar, porque tiene todo lo necesario para entretenerte sin ser una lectura nada densa. Con sus capítulos cortos, consigue engancharte desde sus primeras páginas.

Me gustó también que de explicasen algunas definiciones sobre el fútbol americano, ya que personalmente no conozco demasiado ese mundillo y de lo contrario estaría un poco perdida.

Aunque sí que es cierto que el romance es un poco instantáneo (al menos desde mi punto de vista), debo decir que éste se desarrolla progresivamente y no se llega a hacer pesado.

Dentro de esta historia hay varios personajes que me han llamado la atención (no diré cuales para mantener la intriga) y ojalá pueda leer prontito más sobre ellos 😏💅

Creo que es ideal para todxs los que amen el sport romance. Es muy ligera y se lee en un abrir y cerrar ojos.

First, I'm being generous giving this book 2 stars. This book had the potential to be a good book but it lacked depth. The book had deep topics it could have addressed, like the death of Denver's father in combat, but the author completely glossed over these issues. Another example is the whole situation with Denver's younger sister, Madison. Why introduce this story line and then just let it go? Pointless. The book also completely rushed Sienna's parents finally discovering her roommate was a male. A big chunk of the book centered around deceiving her parents about her living situation and the dread of their discovery. Yet when that time came, it was just "ah, whatever."

Perhaps my biggest issue with this book was the "relationship crisis." It was completely ridiculous and reinforced the notion of a double standard for women. I mean Denver was a man whore who slept with a different female every night right under Sienna's nose. But Sienna gets kissed by a guy at a party while she and Denver are still just friends, and it's treated like some big betrayal. Yes, I know the author made a big deal out of the fact that she didn't "confess" to the kiss when Denver asked. But come on, he asked her in the middle of foreplay. WTF! And it was even more insulting that her female friends sided with Denver and pretty much blamed Sienna. So much for female solidarity. Regardless, this kiss incident was a stupid issue to be the main "crisis" in the book.

My last issue with this book was the endless paragraphs of needless information. I actually skimmed through much of it towards then end because I lost interest. I will not be continuing this series even though I wanted to read Millie's story.

I added this book to my kindle library just because it was free on prime and because I needed a quick sport romance !
The first 60 pages were kind of bad.. the characters were no very coherent according to the point of view.. but then I just couldn't put it down. This is not the best book I have ever read in my life but it was fun and you want to know what is next, the characters are appealing and even thought it is very quick I really enjoyed my reading !!!
Each book of the series is about the friends we followed in the first book and I can't wait to continue the series !!! 🫶

What a weird book! 😂 Basically a girl gets a guy as a roommate and they fall and love. Aaaaaand that's about all that happens. It was so cringey, I think it part because the author was European, set the story in America and couldn't be fucked to even sort of sound American or use American terminology. She literally described someone as "Not having a 60-90-60 figure" and I had to Google this and confirm my suspicions that this is a European thing and is based on the metric system. No American college guy would think that for a minute. She talks about people shagging and calls it an NFL club instead of a team, just stuff that as American makes you scratch your head. Why doesn't she keep her books set in Europe, where she actually knows what she's talking about or have an American proof-read for her and help her understand her faux pas. The dialogue was also very clunky and weird with the characters saying blunt unromantic things, like the H says the h would "look amazing if she lost a pound or 2" and that she "looked boring in comparison to her friend" their fights made no sense, the heroine was a cringey upright prude, that I guess someone somewhere can relate to, but hardly much of a romantic lead. She was scared of giving head and was super weird about the whole experience, was "disgusted" at the thought of him cumming in her mouth. I mean, I'm sure that's realistic and some women feel that way, but it's not really a sexual or romantic aspiration. Nothing made me feel like this was a couple who was going to stay the distance. Don't plan to read this author again.

Ich muss echt sagen ich hab’s geliebt.
Sienna ist so eine liebe Person, ehrgeizig und weiß eigentlich was sie will… und die Entwicklung zwischen Denver und ihr war einfach 🔥🥹.
Denver ist ein heißer Quarterback und die Szenen mit ihm und dem Football zusammen waren einfach wow. Leider fällt es Denver manchmal schwer zu reden, was einen sehr mit Sienna mitfühlen und leiden lässt.

Ihre Freunde finde ich auch super - ich glaub jeder könnte eine Joy brauchen, die kein Blatt vor den Mund nimmt.
Selbst Denvers Jungs haben alle einen gewissen Charme😂🫶🏻

Ce roman c’est de la simplicité, de la légèreté, de l’humour et des émotions plus profondes. C’est aussi des chapitres courts et rythmés. La plume de l’auteure est envoûtante et accrocheuse. C’est un véritable page turner.

Sienna est une jeune femme introvertie. Elle est douce, sensible, authentique et tellement attachante. Denver est quant à lui un sportif extraverti. Il est sûr de lui, arrogant et légèrement impulsif. J’ai vraiment aimé ce qu’il dégage. La relation entre les deux est vraiment belle. C’est simple, vrai, sincère. L’évolution des deux ensembles est vraiment belle à voir.

Si vous aimez les proximité forcée, les « opposites attracts » ce roman est sans aucun doute pour vous. Ce roman est un excellent moment lecture. J’ai bien hâte de poursuivre cette série avec les prochains tomes, bien hâte de voir qui sera le prochain couple 🤭

No ha sido una maravilla, pero no ha estado mal. Se lee rápido y los personajes no me los esperaba así. Pensaba que serían un poco tóxicos, pero me ha sorprendido que cuando veían alguna actitud así siempre había un secundario que les paraba los pies a los protagonistas. Y he de admitir que con el final he soltado alguna lagrimita, la historia familiar de Denver me ha tocado en el corazoncito.

Sienna sta per iniziare il suo primo anno in un college lontano da casa e fortunatamente è riuscita a trovare un appartamento non troppo lontano da condividere con una coinquilina, Denver. Peccato che quando arriva nella sua nuova casa scopre che Denver non è una ragazza, ma il quarterback della squadra di football del suo college! Inizierà quindi una convivenza che porterà a inaspettati risvolti per entrambi.

✨ Il libro non è male. L’idea di base è carina: adoro le dinamiche tra coinquilini e ho apprezzato molto questo aspetto della storia. Il libro viene definito uno sport romance, anche se l’elemento sportivo è appena accennato. Infatti le scene di allenamento sono rare e le partite vengono descritte solo un paio di volte. Tuttavia, trattandosi di un romanzo breve, è comprensibile che l’attenzione sia focalizzata maggiormente sulla componente romantica.

💞 Per quanto quest’ultima, l’ho trovata piacevole, anche se avrebbe potuto essere sviluppata meglio. Il rapporto tra i protagonisti risulta un po’ affrettato, ma una volta che finalmente si mettono insieme sono davvero adorabili.

💗 Anche i personaggi mi sono piaciuti:
Sienna è una ragazza studiosa e determinata, con un carattere deciso.
Denver, invece, incarna il classico quarterback affascinante, ma con un’anima gentile e un evidente debole per Sienna.

🥰 Un altro aspetto che ho apprezzato è il modo in cui l’autrice ha introdotto i personaggi secondari, lasciando intendere possibili sviluppi futuri per lore e quindi ora sono curiosa di leggere gli altri libri della serie.

✨ Per concludere, questo libro è una lettura leggera e scorrevole, ideale per chi cerca qualcosa di rapido e piacevole. Non si tratta di un romanzo particolarmente originale o indimenticabile, ma riesce comunque a intrattenere e a far trascorrere qualche ora in compagnia di una storia dolce e divertente.

Iniziamo da una cosa fondamentale: nonostante il setting americano e questo pseudonimo anglofoneggiante, e' chiaro come il sole che chi scrive e' italiano (o meglio, che da una base forse estera, si e' palesata una forte riscrittura da parte dell'editor e mezzo ghostwriter italiano). A parte certe sfumature linguistiche sono troppo troppo vistostamente native-italian, e quindi stonano molto con la location USA, la scarsita' di dettagli e americani e la copiosa descrizione della prepazione e mangiata di un piatto di pasta (unico piatto di cui si parla nel libro, a parte un hamburger ma en passant) mi fanno automaticamente collocare il libro in una citta' italiana che si e' messa un paio di baffi posticci a stelle e striscie. E raga, c'e' in genere un motivo per cui leggo molto cautamente libri romance di autori italiani. Ossia che NO. Mai abbastanza angst e, soprattutto, mai mi trasportano abbastanza altrove con la mente. Unica eccezione Amabile Giusti, ma solo per Tentare di non Amarti, che adoro alla follia, dato che tutti gli altri libri contemporary romance che ha fatto erano la fotocopia di quello li'. Non preoccuparti Amabile, non sei l'unica e vi perdono tutte/i, o autori e autrici italo-internazionali che usate la stessa formula che vince all'infinito.

Scusate la digressione.

Questo libro nello specifico ha un suo perche' come scheletro di libro. Tuttavia gli manca totalmente la profondita' di pensiero e la complessita' di trama. Ho angstato, ma sopperendo all'angst assente nel libro facendomi fanfiction mentali su scene mancate fra un capitolo e l'altro. Quindi: lo rileggerei? No. Mi sono pentita di comprarlo? No. Ergo due stelle.

Trope: forced proximity - sport romance - college romance

Immaginate di ordinare la serie Campus Off di Elle Kennedy su Temu: i Lincoln Tigers sono quello che vi arriverà a casa.

Cercavo una lettura leggera e veloce, ed è quello che ho ottenuto (pure troppo).
Mi sono lasciata ammaliare dall’idea dei coinquilini, un trope che mi attira sempre.
Purtroppo mi sono ritrovata con una storia che non ha nessun vero sviluppo, un canovaccio buttato lì, senza neanche curarsi della coerenza del tutto. Denver è, a detta della protagonista, uno st0nz0 per come si comporta con le sue conquiste, e ha pure reticenze a occuparsi delle faccende domestiche, però è il coinquilino perfetto (?); è sessista (cosa che lei non sopporta), ma vanno d’accordissimo (??), e così via.
C’era la possibilità di uno slow burn, che però non è stata sfruttata. L’evoluzione del rapporto è per la maggior parte off screen, e l’autrice sembra più interessata a porre le basi per le coppie dei prossimi libri.

Tutte le carenze elencate hanno trovato una spiegazione non appena ho letto qualche info su questa fantomatica Mrs Kristal su Goodreads, e la parola chiave è sempre e solo una: Wattpad.
Non capirò mai come si possa sprecare il proprio tempo dietro prodotti così raffazzonati; purtroppo ormai è una realtà con cui dobbiamo costantemente fare i conti.
Le eccezioni ci saranno pure, ma quanto è difficile trovarle! Io non ci sono ancora riuscita.

I wanted to love this book, because it started out great, but I have two drawbacks that for me, just couldn't be forgotten.
First of all, what "19" year old out in the real world as it is today says "making Love"???? I mean, first off cringe, I hate that phrase, its very old school and so overdone that it just turns into a "nails on chalkboard instance" for me, so SORRY, but NO! No 19 year old should use that phrase. just not something I can stand. So that for was first, and lastly, I hate how hallmark channel this book is. It was very cookie cutter. Nothing happened in this book that I didn't see coming, just very predictable. And besides that, it seemed very juvenile in the writing.
I'm sorry to the author for having to write this, but something about the whole storyline was just easy to read, not in a grade level meaning, only in that I knew pretty much exactly how the book would end from the beginning and thats not really how I like my books. Again, I hate writing these kinds of reviews, but I also hate being the reader not knowing what to expect coming onto the book. Hopefully this helps someone who is thinking about reading it. It's a good quick read, but just don't expect to be completely floored on it being an amazing book. It's good, but I wouldn't rate it a 5 star rating for my own reasons.

Reseña de "El compañero de piso perfecto" de Mrs Kristal

Sienna ya se ha hecho una idea de cómo será estar en la universidad, pero todo cambia de golpe cuando se da cuenta que su compañera de piso es un compañero de piso. Además, es el quarterback del equipo. La figura del deportista que había intentado evitar durante sus años en el instituto ahora convive con ella. Aunque al principio parece que no tienen nada que ver, poco a poco van descubriendo más puntos en común de lo que se imaginaban.

Lo que más me ha sorprendido de este libro es que el desarrollo del romance ha sido totalmente diferente a lo que me esperaba. Pensaba que iba a ser un instalove (amor instantáneo) como una catedral, pero nada más lejos de la realidad. Los personajes se dan cuenta de sus sentimientos poco a poco y no es todo un camino de rosas. Esto hace que, para mí, sea más creíble y entre con más facilidad en la historia. Cabe destacar también que la lectura es de lo más ligera y te tiene enganchada.

Dicho esto, algunos conflictos de la historia me han parecido algo forzados. Otro de los aspectos a comentar es la ambientación: el jugador de fútbol con la chica nueva. Es una premisa que he visto en otros libros y películas, y me hubiera gustado ver algún elemento más diferenciador.

En resumen, es una lectura ideal si quieres vivir el deporte de cerca y un romance universitario apasionado.

Hoy os vengo con una reseña nueva🏈

El compañero de piso perfecto, primera entrega autoconclusiva de una serie de cuatro libros.

Es el primer sport romance que leo. Tengo muchas ganas de leer otros libros de este mismo género así que no he dejado que la opinión sobre esta lectura afecte en ello.

Es un libro ligero, ameno y bien redactado. Los personajes son chavales y chavalas de universidad con sueños por los que quieren luchar.

✨Sienna es una chica humilde, divertida y que se adapta rápidamente a su vida. Aunque se lleva una grata sorpresa cuando la alojan en un apartamento que tiene que compartir.

✨Denver es la estrella, de la universidad y del equipo de fútbol. El quarterback que todas desean.

Debo admitir que me ha encantado la parte en la que Denver debe ser Phoenix la verdad, ha estado muy guay y me ha hecho reír. Y la forma en la que se enamoran también me gusta.

El libro de lee de forma muy fácil y cuando te das cuenta te ha enganchado. Pero en mi opinión la personalidad de los personajes no terminan de gustarme. Entiendo que les dé a ellos un poco de rollo pasota, pero la forma de expresarse y esos pensamientos íntimos que tienen no me gustan demasiado.

Había momentos en los que no entendía algunas posturas ante los sentimientos y las acciones de ellos, y las reconciliaciones no han sido muy reñidas.

Le doy 3 estrellas porque, aunque se lea solo y entretenga, como ya he dicho antes, la forma de expresarse, las palabras que ha utilizado para darle ese toque juvenil a mí me han sobrado.

¿Lo recomiendo?, bueno pues sí. Si quieres un maratón de lectura en un finde lluvioso es perfecto la verdad 🥰

Prenez un quarterback sexy, une nana un peu coincée, ajoutez une erreur administrative qui les placent en coloc forcée et inattendue… En théorie, tout ce que j’aime et j’ai passé un bon moment malgré des petits bémols, notamment les erreurs de conjugaison ou grammaticales.

Sienna a réussi à convaincre ses parents d’intégrer le campus, bien loin de chez elle. Mais quand elle découvre que sa colocataire est en fait un mec, et pas n’importe lequel, elle risque des petits ennuis…

On rencontre une petite bande d’amis ou futurs amis bien sympathique. Si la romance reste simple et les personnages finalement pas exploités à leur plein potentiel, on passe de bons moment en leur compagnie. Sienna est attachante malgré son petit côté rigide et Denver est au final loin des stéréotypes des sportifs universitaires. J’aurais aimé un peu plus de profondeur et de rebondissements mais c’est une lecture feelgood et rapide qui aide à faire une petite pause.

Petit bonus pour moi : les scènes sportives que j’ai pu retrouver dans ce roman et ça j’apprécie.

Sienna lleva todo el verano planeando como va a ser su vida universitaria. Se ha esforzado mucho para conseguir plaza en la universidad que ella desea y además ha conseguido que sus padres le paguen el alojamiento (compartir piso con Denver). Lleva imaginando como será su futura compañera y de lo mucho que espera disfrutar de ella.

Lo que Sienna no se espera al abrir la puerta, es encontrarse con el Quaterback estrella de los Lincoln Tigers, paseando por su piso.

Denver Jones, es la super estrella de la universidad. Sexy, atractivo y con un peculiar nombre que da lugar a algún que otro error.

Sienna tendrá que decidir si continuar viviendo con Denver o intentar corregir el error y arriesgarse a quedarse sin piso.

La convivencia puede ser difícil o no, pero quien puede resistirse a un chico como Denver.

Un nuevo año universitario, nuevas amistades y un mundo por descubrir.

Un libro que se lee rapidísimo, una historia contada a dos veces.

Enjoyable

I liked the story. Not a huge fan of time jumps, even if they are a couple days, a week, a month - just not a fan.

One thing that bugged was when they told each other they loved each other the first time. Because a while later they say it again as if it was the first time they had ever spoke of it. Seems like that definitely should have been caught during editing.

The epilogue doesn't really do the story justice. I felt like it should have been further into the future and more of a lead into the next book in the series. Nearly the whole book she speculates on one of her friends relationship status, but there's no resolution, she's just off to Europe for a few months. Its like the relationship woes of the friends were tossed in so a series makes sense. But nothing really points to what the next book would be.

Libro elegido para el reto literario del grupo de Juani Hernández en FB.
Un libro interesante donde el protagonista es el fútbol americano universitario, Sienna, es una joven que no ha salido de su pueblo hasta que decide ir a una universidad lejos de su casa, allí descubre un nuevo mundo y encuentra su lugar pero lo qie no esperaba era conocer a Denver el quarterback de los Lincoln tigers, el equipo de la universidad.
Denver es un joven libre, alegre que vive tranquilamente hasta que conoce a Sienna y su mundo da un giro inesperado.
Me encanta la camaderia que hay entre los chicos del equipo y entre las chicas, son geniales y me gusta como se protegen los unos a los otros.
Un libro entretenido para pasar una buena tarde.

This one of those books that I won't be reviewing on my blog. I've struggled through it and I've really wanted to put it down so many times but once I start a book I have to read it even if I think it's not for me. This is one of the books that clearly isn't for me. To say something that was good with it was some of the spice but even there it was lacking when the writer started to talk about Denver's sister while Sienna was giving him a BJ. That is just one of all the things that bothered me.

To be clear I won't be reading this book again. And I feel kind of bad that I made the library buy this book.

Al principio, creí que la protagonista, Sienna, iba a ser la típica "no soy como las otras chicas", pero en realidad resultó un poco más compleja; por otra parte, el prota, Denver, no terminó de convencerme como prospecto amoroso. No me gustó que a pesar de que le gustaba Sienna y prohibió a sus compañeros de equipo acercarcele a ella, él muy campante seguía teniendo sexo con sus ligues en el mismo departamento que compartía con Sienna.

Luego el tema de su padre y la desconfianza siento que sólo lo usaba de excusa para conseguir el perdón de Sienna.

Las escenas sexuales estuvieron bien manejadas y me gustaron.

En general, estuvo entrenido y fue una lectura rápida.

Sienna just started her first year of college and she is excited to meet her new roommate Denver. Then she realizes Denver is not who she thought. Instead administration mixed up Denver's gender in the system and paired Sienna none other than the quarterback of the college football team. At first Sienna is okay with this since she is here to study and Denver is not into relationships at all. He prefers one night stands and makes it clear to anyone he brings home. Then after a few weeks of living together they both realize that there is more than just 2 friends sharing an apartment together. After this there is so much going on that you have to keep reading to see what the outcomes will be.

No he podido aguantar más de un 6% de este libro y ya me quería arrancar los ojos. Podría haber sido una trama interesante, bastante cliché pero entretenida si no fuera porque el diálogo interno de la protagonista es insufrible. Nada de lo que pasa tiene lógica: ni la forma de hablar/interactuar de los personajes, ni las descripciones de la protagonista de cosas random que pasan por su cabeza ni creo que lo vaya a tener la trama.
En fin, yo solo quería leer una novela light con contenido 🔥 para descomprimir entre lecturas pero ni siquiera voy a seguir leyendo.

Great book

It was super cute. Great build, great small conflicts with very realistic resolutions. However, I would have loved to see an epilogue as to if Denver and Sienna got married or how their future proceeded after his winning. Did he get pocked up for a pro team? Did they stay together? It kind of leaves a big question mark where the book could have had a slightly better resolution to all parties.

Demasiado corto, casi no te da tiempo de conocer a sus personajes, lo hubiese disfrutado muchísimo si me diera más tiempo.
La historia es bonita, y a pesar de ser la típica de súper jugador de rugby y chica normal!!! Hay algo diferente y es El!!! No está atormentado, ni es mal amigo, ni se porta mal con ella, y aunque es el típico mujeriego enseguida ve que siente algo diferente por Ella!!El es sin duda mi preferido del libro!!🤓📕
