The Book of Ruth is one of the most famous short stories of all time. In just four chapters, the reader is exposed to faithlessness, death, unwavering integrity, and redemption. Ruth provides an intimate view into the back story of the lineage of King David. Set in the time of the judges, when “everyone did what was right in their own eyes,” the wholesomeness and honesty of Ruth are a welcome breath of fresh air.
In this study, we shall cover such topics as God’s loving-kindness (hesed), the foreshadowing of Christ, waiting on God’s timing, the providence of God, and the redemption of Naomi.

This text is a wonderful study of the Biblical story of Ruth. The author goes through the Biblical text, teaching about the meaning of names, the culture of the day & how it relates to Ruth, and how it applies to our lives today. I have studied the book of Ruth before and I still appreciated the thorough teaching included in this book. I highly recommend it!
A nice short read. I finished most of it on an afternoon walk. But it is deeply profound of how Christ’s kindness reaches out to each one of us. If you feel that God is an angry overlord just trying to keep you from fun, I encourage you to give this book a chance. It will only cost you one afternoon, maybe two. But it will explain why God is not angry with you and is rather very kind.
This was a magnificent read. In depth story telling that causes one to self reflect on the choices in life read on one day. I found it very difficult to put down. Amazing.
