Welcome to the Exiled Sector, home to the most lethal Alphas on the planet.
These beings don’t play nice with others. They’ve been banished.
And a plane full of Omegas just crash-landed in their isles.

We’re being hunted.
Their feral growls follow us.
Their howls haunt us.
Their knots call to us.
And their savagery terrifies us.

Some will escape.
Some will be caught.
Three will be claimed.

My name is Caja. And this is the story of how an Alpha named Enrique saved me from the madness of Venom Island...

Author's Note: Venom Island is part of the Exiled Sector shared world. These books contain dark themes, Omegaverse vibes, unforgiving Alphas, and the Omegas who defy them.

3.5 Longing to Obey Stars ⭐

He wanted my heat to be explosive.
And now… now it’s finally happening. In a cave. On an island in the middle of nowhere. Filled with growling and howling Alphas.

From one clusterfuck to the next, an unloved and neglected Omega is finally free from an abusive father and the sector that treated her poorly. Although rescued by another clan, Caja is uncertain as to what the future holds, even if she is intrigued by the Alpha that cannot stop fussing over her.

Whether its biology or love at first sight, Enrique is smitten by the vulnerable Caja. Now with her consent to join him, things are looking up until they crash land on Venom Island. A place filled with feral, rogue Alphas. A bigger issue now that Caja an unmated Omega is experiencing her first heat cycle.

Action packed and steamy. Venom Island was quick and exciting to read and the nesting and knotting delicious. It wasn’t as great as some of this author’s other stories but still pretty good!

I actually read Nightmare Island first, and after worrying that the author “borrowed” L. Foss’s world, I realized that she was part of the Exiled Sector series and quickly downloaded her book. This series takes place in the same world as her X-Clan and V-Clan series. They all state they can be read as standalones, but this one does mention several characters from her other series that might be confusing (the other two should be no problem), so I’ll leave a quick summary.

If you want the backstory, this H Enrique was introduced in Winter’s Arrow when he volunteered to be Snow’s fiancé so he could try to save Kari. (The sister of his twin's omega that was terribly abused) He was sort of bad, but really good… Stuff happened, and Snow/Winter ended up with Kazek. (Kaz in this book)

The book opens with several omegas being rescued from the Bariloche Sector including the h, Caja. This piggy backs onto the storyline of Bariloche Sector where Sven came to liberate the omegas and kill his mate’s (Kari) father. (The evil dude that was holding Caja and the other omegas). The dude in charge in Ander (Sven’s brother) from Andorra Sector, and his second Elias’s book is The Experiment. Kieren is from the V-Clan series.

If you’re still with me, the rest is Enrique and Caja’s story which was alright. It was nice to see him get his Omega, and I liked Caja. I felt like it dragged a smidge until they crashed, but things picked up after that.

Bottom Line- It was Ok. I liked Carnage Island better, but it was enjoyable enough. It was probably my favorite of the three, but I’m invested in the series. I really love this world she has created and am intrigued by Enrique’s twin’s story that she teased. I’m hoping Joseph and Savi get a book.

Read if you like: omegaverse, shifter romance, no third act breakup, possessive MMC, fated mates, knotting and nesting, dystopian world, breeding, touch her and die

4.5 ⭐️
I ate this up in one sitting, it was the perfect quick read I needed!

Enrique saved Caja from a horrible situation, it was lust at first sight as they were instantly attracted to one another. When they crash on an island he does everything he can to protect her from the feral alphas trapped there.

Steamy read filled with knotting, action and possessiveness!

A pretty interesting world. I did not read any of the prior books in this world, so it did take a bit longer to understand some of it. I don't get why it had to be post-apoc, this world could have easily been just another world. The post-apoc element wasn't really needed.

I thought the relationship was pretty sweet. Both characters seemed smitten with each other from the start.

Overall, I thought it was pretty ok. I liked the MMC but I'm not sure that I will continue with anymore in this world, because it sounds like he might be the nicest of all the MMCs. But I could be wrong.

Venom island is the first book in the Exiled Sector series. This is a standalone and ends in a HEA.

First of all, I was hooked from the very beginning. This was a pretty quick and interesting read. This is Caja's and Enrique's story. Caja has been through so much and I am so glad she got her HEA. I am absolutely obsessed with Mila Young's Shadowland Sector series this is also a spin-off of that. I definitely need to check out Lexi C. Foss's V-Clan series. Definitely enjoyed it!

This is a shared universe where the humans have been taken over by a zombi virus, and Alfa rules different sectors to keep order. It's a dark and dangerous world, and unspeakable things are done, especially in the bariloche sector. Run by a cruel Alfa who's got no respect for any of the omega in his care. Especially his daughter Caja who's been Locked away with the other omiga ready to be transported to another sector to be used as play things or worse but luckily help comes literally with a bang and form there we meet Enrique he's an Alfa but he's not like the alfa Caja has meet. He's kind, and the attraction between them is there from the start. I literally couldn't put this story down, especially when they crashed into Venom Island, which is a dangerous place for an unmated omega, and It's a battle to keep Caja safe, which Enrique will do with his life. we'll meet new faces in the story that will tie into more stories to come. And I just fell in love with Caja and Enrique from the get-go. Their chemistry was of the charts, and i devoured this story in two days. I loved how Enrique just doted on her and made her feel safe. I especially loved the ending with the cute little Hellion and the joyful banter that made this story so special, and I really enjoyed that extra bonus seen, which made me want more.

Venom Island is the first book in the multi-author series, Exiled Sector. Funnily enough, this is my second omegaverse by Lexi, but this is the first book I've read set in this world.

Caja is an abused omega. I really admired how she was able to stay calm and collected, always observing, and was able to assess any given situation and make a decision based on what she knew and not what others thought. That includes her opinion of a certain alpha. Enrique was a good guy in a place where it was hard to be a good guy, but he made the best he could out of horrible situation after horrible situation. He proved himself every step of the way, showing his love and care for Caja in words and actions. It was a whirlwind romance, but that doesn't mean it wasn't just as sweet.

Because of the circumstances surrounding how they got together, Caja and Enrique could have let their relationship be riddled with doubt and angst. Instead, they decided to look at what had been placed before them and trust the other person. It was refreshing to have a couple not be pulled apart by trivial things.

To quote Tremors 2 (movie), "It's a whole new ballgame." This book is set in Lexi's X-Clan series. Lexi must have created some excellent world-building with the previous series set in this world because she gave us the quick and dirty version and it blew my mind. The varying supernaturals, political frame, and magic—I can tell she just touched the tip of the iceberg, but I don't feel that I'm messing out, she set the stage well.

I really enjoyed taking a peek into this world. Venom Island was such a good read filled with swoony alphas, needy omegas, and adventure. If you're looking for an omegaverse that's quick and exciting, I'd suggest checking this one out.

3/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Ate this one right up! I loved Enrique as an Alpha but mostly for how he cared for Caja! Ugh. Swoony and just perfect when caring for her. She has a super tragic past and he was respectful of that while still falling for her. Her growth was really beautiful with him by her side.

The story is super fast paced and I enjoyed how there was never a dull moment. Plenty of action but the romance and spice were on point!

I could absolutely see myself rereading! I know this world is connected to a couple other books from Lexi that I haven’t read but I didn’t feel lost while reading it! It was quick and easy to read. I’m so excited to continue this series and see the HEAs for the other omegas!

Venom Island🥰

Venom Island starts off the Exiled Sector Series, which is written by multiple authors, with a bang❣️

Enrique helps Anders, the Andorra Sector Alpha together with their allies, take down Bariloche Sector. They discover a “shipment” of Omegas coming into the Sector and do what they can to rescue the various wolves and other beings from cages and reallocate them to other Sectors or give them the option to go home😁

Enrique is immediately captivated by Caja, a quiet Omega. However, the trip to return the Omegas to their locations ends when their jet crashes and they land in the Exiled Sector😳 A great story, with some interesting twists and another great ending that leaves me wanting more. I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️

3.5✨

Enrique stole my heart right from the beginning of this story. The way he treated Caja from the start gave me the feels. And poor Caja had been through so much! Finding this male that she could actually trust was kind of scary for her. Their time together in Venom Island ends up being very interesting and I loved the characters that we met there. Great story!

I could not put this book down. It is a sweet, quick read. Caja is an omega who has been mistreated by everyone in her life. Sold to a alpha who thrives on mistreating everyone she lost all hope of survival. Enrique saves her life and sparks fly between them. They both get stranded on Venom Island and thier lives are changed forever. This book has action, adventure and some sweet love scences. Definitely a must read.

I was a bit lost with all the names and the installation I was not expecting to have in a stand-alone from a new series but now I'm intrigued by the other books from the author.

Content warning: A trigger warning is included at the start of the book. This book includes:

Venom Island was a quick and easy read with lots of action.

Enrique was a protective and respectful individual. Having lived through hardship whilst attempting to do what he believed to be the right things for those he cared about he’d had a purpose but as that mission was ending he was floundering and unsure of his place in the world. Caja was, as the result of her upbringing, a naive and innocent individual in the eyes of some. However her lived experiences, intelligence, and perceptive nature made her a formidable individual that just needed others to see her for who she was. And with her just being rescued from captivity that opportunity had now presented itself.

Enrique and Caja met in difficult circumstances and the fated mates nature of their relationship and the continued life threatening and dangerous situations they found themselves in meant the relationship development was intense and quick. They became one another’s safe spaces and the evidence that there was more to life than what they had experienced. Fortunately, we were given fun and flirty moments through Enrique attempting to gauge her interest, a lot of swoony dialogue and a sweet excitement that came from how they interacted to aid that development. All of this happening within constant close proximity lended itself to a more organically evolving relationship within the confines of this being a novella with a short timeline.

The established plot of different teams coming together to dissemble the operations of dangerous Alphas was an interesting one. As were the settings of the book, from the book starting in the midst of a rescue mission to the island of feral wolves (with mentions of others). It created high stakes and intense situations that kept the pacing of this book fast and was something I would think about exploring further through the other books in this series (or others that tie into it). However, as enjoyable as the plot was, the overall pacing and development of it was a little lacking. The beginning was good and had me hooked, but it felt like the plot quickly ramped up to the main conflict but before that could be explored or depicted in full it was over and I was reading the HEA. I know this is a novella but it felt like more could have been done.

Now, whilst this can be read as a standalone (as I have done) it is clear from reading this that Venom Island ties into other books by Foss. There were scenes that discussed Enrique’s past, ones that heavily centred on secondary characters and others where a lot of names were used. It got a little confusing at times in terms of keeping track of how these characters knew one another but I could easily follow it when it came to the impact those things/people were having on our main characters and their relationship. And for a few of the secondary characters that played bigger roles in this novella I have a little interest in learning more about them.

Venom Island was a quick and high stakes novella. I did find it enjoyable and despite it feeling like it lacked in development in some parts I will keep this series in mind as something to potentially return to in the future.

❤️‍🔥VENOM ISLAND❤️‍🔥
By Lexi C Foss
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- 5 Star Review
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️- 5/5 Spice Level
Such a fun read! I am a huge fan of Lexi Foss’ books! This one is another amazing book. It’s not very long, but packs a punch! I believe she wrote this book to be read in one night… specifically she wrote “the kind that you can enjoy in a single night but still has a satisfying plot and ending :).” I fell asleep during the epilogue because I took sleepy medicine or I would have finished in one night 😋!!

This is the story of 2 wolf shifters, Caja & Enrique. They are mates & the story is about how they find each other, overcome scary circumstances, & fall completely in love with each other. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Venom Island is a standalone, but is part of the Exiled Sector collaboration series. The other 2 books are not by the same author. They can be read in any order and you don’t have to read any others before them. There are MANY books that are set in this omegaverse. The world building is kinda extensive so I’ve started taking some notes to calm my OCD brain. You do not have to do this. She world builds like a pro in her books! It’s just for me and my brain.

Tropes for Venom Island are fated mates, fierce possessiveness from both MCs, knotting/nesting/purring/growling, breeding. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

The setting of the entire omegaverse is futuristic in time and dystopian in nature following a zombie-like virus that’s wiped out 90% of humans. Supernaturals now rule the world. The omegaverse has many supernatural species who are mostly divided into clans and sectors. The hierarchy of the clans contain Alphas, Betas, & Omegas. Omegas are often treated as property & they can not overpower Alphas, so they are at their mercy. Unfortunately, not all alpha leaders in the omegaverse are good.

Venom Island is located in the Exiled Sector, which is one of several islands in the modern time Jamaica area. Exiled Sector is explained as a prison of sorts where the most lethal alphas who have been banished are sent & are unable leave. The way I understand it, Venom Island is the exile island for X-Clan, which are wolves.

Caja (Kah-hah) is the FMC, an X-Clan wolf from Bariloche Sector. Enrique is the MMC who is also from Bariloche Sector. Caja is rescued by Enrique from a bad situation and is flown out on a jet with several other omegas of different species. As they’re being rescued, Caja makes friends with 2 other omegas named Hel (an Ulv Wolf omega from Savage Sector) & Guorún (a vampire omega from Älva Nest) whose stories are the focus of the other 2 Exiled Sector books.

After an unexpected event causes a catastrophic failure of the jet, the main characters crash land on Venom Island. With Caja in the starts of her heat cycle, the chase is ON from resident alphas from the time they hit the ground!

This book shows a mate bond that brings these two souls together innately from the very start. Then being dropped together into the scary unknown shortly after meeting just seals their bond. The spicy scenes are extensive and so well written as this author always does. There is a wonderful HEA. 🥰

The other omegas are able to take escape pods before crashing but land scattered in unknown places in Exiled sector with no way to track them due to the workings of the prison systems. Book 2 is Hel’s story in Nightmare Island. Book 3 is Guorún’s story in Outcast Island. These books are by different authors.

Read it! Read them all! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

When a plane full of Omegas crashes into a savage island. Enrique sends the girls off in pods hoping that they will end up somewhere safe. Everyone but Caja the one that is Enrique's mate . They are off on the run of their lives , trying to keep Caja away from the rogue wolves as she comes into her first heat. Until they find help from three alphas that were his friends before the epidemic that wiped out the humans . In the sanctuary we see Enrique and Caja finally become the mated pair they are . While the alphas find out where the others ended . They are where they are suppose to be and maybe they can help the others out and in the process help out Enrique's brother also.
Enrique was introduced in Winter's Arrow and he wasn't a really nice guy but in this book we get to see a sweeter side of him when he finds his Omega. He is tall, dark , sexy and oh so Alpha. He has so much on his plate and feels like it is his fault that they crash landed . Caja is sweet but has been abused by her family for her life as an Omega. Even being shipped away to a cruel Alpha. She has learnt how to stay silent and be invisible to keep herself safe. As she realizes she is safe she starts to blossom and really take on her role as the Omega. They are such well written charters that really make each other stronger as they grow closer .
This is one of those books that are in a series but is a stand alone also . Each character is well written and complex. The author paints us a brutal picture that is Exile Island . We get a sense of foreboding and an eerie sense of evil on the island . There are a lot of romantic times but they are written well. I truly enjoyed this book and loved the characters and the way they are like a family, So if you want a fun book to read for your spring reading list , check it out.

“Muy bien, pequeño tesoro,”
🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵

This was a cute quick read with light angst, a sprinkle of action, a dash of comforting protective alpha vibes and some 🌶️🌶️🌶️ for taste. 😉

It's been a minute since I read the previous X & V clan sector series so it took a little longer for me to connect the dots of who's who. Although I don't think it was a problem as this read pretty well as a standalone without those books/characters so fresh in my memory.

I liked both MCs. Enrique, obviously. What a babe. 😍 He was a great alpha, very respectful and kind. His behavior towards Caja from the very beginning was so precious. Even without the pull between them I think he just sensed she needed that patient and calming presence from him. I loved how protective he became of her. I felt so awful for what Caja had experienced in her young life. And how hopeless and resigned she felt when Enrique rescued her. I loved how enamored she became of him. It was endearing watching her figure out these new feelings he sparked in her. I think it was obvious she had an inner strength in her throughout the book that we only got to touch the surface of, which was proven by the adorable epilogue we got of them three years later. That was the Caja I could feel just under the surface and I'm a little sad we didn't get to see more of it even if I understand why.

This book also had a surprising amount of humor wrapped in all the action and alpha growls it offered. And it only made it more fun to read. It also did great job setting up the rest of the series about the other omegas, ones I'm ready to begin reading asap.

I’ve finally caught up on all the sectors available on audiobook, and I love the world Lexi has created! This series is incredibly entertaining, though I’ve mentioned in past reviews that there are definitely some heavy triggers, mainly revolving around abuse and the trafficking of omegas for alpha power. So please be mindful and look at the trigger warnings if you are sensitive to these. Enrique was introduced in the X-Clan series, initially appearing as an abuser. However, it turns out this was a facade designed to save his twin and protect one of the omega from a previous book. He ultimately proves to be a key player in dismantling the entire trafficking operation and plays a major role in the rescue mission, which is where he meets Caja, and the story begins. Their journey begins with a literal boom when the rescue shuttle crashes on Venom Island, a place where exiled individuals are sent from their sector. In terms of the Sector series, this book is my least favorite, but it’s still a solid addition. It’s part of the Exile Sector, which Lexi co-wrote with other authors, and I knew it would be a shorter read. I’m glad Enrique finally finds his mate; he truly deserved one. Like the other alphas, he’s protective and respectful of Caja. Even though their connection is instant, he still takes the time to understand her before they bond. While the narrators did an excellent job, and I felt the voices matched the characters perfectly, I do miss the Williams/Puckett duo from previous X-Sector books. Still, this was a great addition to the Foss omegaverse, and I can’t wait for the next series to be available on audiobook!

Caja, the female wolf shifter omega lead, has been told all her life that she has no value except the small amount the chief Alpha of their sector will pay for her when she’s old enough. Treated like a slave, she’s now locked in a cage because she’s old enough…

Enrique, the male wolf shifter alpha lead, has spent years as a general to the Alpha of the sector but he’s only ever been there to try to save his twin and his twin’s mate. Having been part of the successful destruction of the sector, he’s shocked to find himself drawn to one of the omegas in cages that they save, and even more shocked to realise who she must be and how innocent she is.

Flying to their new sector to start a new life, an accidental lightning bolt takes their plane down. Caja and Enrique are on an Exiled Sector island, now surrounded by dangerous wolves, and Caja is about to go into heat. Can they find a safe place and keep themselves alive?

This novella is dual POV, well written, and a fast-paced, darker, dystopian omegaverse romance. I empathised with Caja’s historical situation, which left her genuinely ignorant of so much. I enjoyed seeing her find her own personality once she felt safe. I enjoyed Enrique’s consent focus, and his determination to give Caja choices, even though he definitely wanted to be the only one she chose. I enjoyed the banter between characters, even in difficult situations. I enjoyed the resolution and the life the lead characters built for themselves.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

Venom Island: A Standalone Shifter Omegaverse (part of Exiled Sector) by Lexi C. Foss is a gripping shifter omegaverse. In this captivating tale, Enrique discovers Caja while dismantling his alpha's Omega trafficking operation. Caja, scarred by years of abuse, is distrusting and submissive. However, when they find themselves on Venom Island—a notorious prison for dangerous and feral alphas—they uncover the possibility of true freedom.

Venom Island is beautifully written. It highlights the truth that the most beautiful things can sometimes be found hidden in the darkest of places. Enrique is instantly drawn to Caja, and the bond that forms between them is both touching and powerful. As Caja begins to heal—physically and emotionally—thanks to Enrique's steady and protective presence, she discovers her own strength and assertiveness. This journey of growth and empowerment is a joy to witness.

The story strikes a perfect balance between intense heat and deep affection as the characters delve into their complex relationship. If you relish dark shifter omegaverses packed with action, primal mating, knotting, nesting, and possessive yet loving alphas and vulnerable omegas, then Venom Island is a definitive must-read! As a standalone within the intricate universe of Exiled Sector, this novel leaves you eager for more. Be sure to explore the other books in the series to uncover the compelling fates of other Omegas who have navigated their paths to happiness on different islands.
