V-Clan #3

Eclipse Sector

Rate this book
I loved an Alpha once.
An unattainable Elite.
A former V-Clan Prince.

I thought we had a connection.
A unique bond founded in our shared values and aspirations.
Then he broke my heart with a few choice words.

He doesn’t want me? Fine. I’ll find an Alpha who does.
Which is how I end up on the stage being introduced as Candidate Thirteen of the Eligible Omega Mate program.

Except, there’s just one tiny problem—the Alpha who broke my heart is in charge of supervising the mating activities. Which means he’s privy to every interview. Every date. Every kiss.

How am I supposed to find an appropriate mate when he’s watching me with those smoldering irises?
Purring possessive comments in my ear…
Growling at every male who looks my way…
Prowling around my nest…

It doesn’t help that someone is attacking the Omegas in the program.
Now my Alpha is even more territorial, his feral nature that much more potent.
Because he’s refusing to leave my side.
And he’s promised to do whatever it takes to protect me.
Even if it means claiming me for himself.

Author’s Note: This is a standalone dark shifter romance with Omegaverse vibes—A, B, O dynamics with kn*tting, nesting, and biting. Check the trigger warnings in the introduction for more details.

My Review

It's been a while since I picked up a book by this author and as usual, they managed to deliver a belter of a story. I consumed this in one sitting, and it was an easy, enjoyable read. It's set in a dystopian world after a plague has decimated 90% of the human population leaving the supernaturals who were immune as the dominant species. Genre-wise wise it's paranormal dystopian with shifters and it has an Alpha, Omega dynamic. So expect lots of knotting, purring and nesting and all that entails.

Cillian and Ivana are two characters we have been introduced to previously and are both a part of the V-Clan world. This whole environment is elaborate extensive and is all interconnected. The world-building is very well done but former knowledge of this series is not a requirement as this does read as a standalone also. Some prior exposure will obviously enhance the whole experience but isn't necessarily essential either you'll easily be able to follow along.

Cillian and Ivana's story is not without its road bumps. Ivana has been angling for the stubborn grumpy  Alpha to finally see the light and claim her for his own. For six years she's held on to the hope of a life as Cillian's omega. But when a thoughtless overheard conversation puts paid to all of those dreams she is extremely hurt but also determined to rise above it. She does this by putting herself forward for the eligible Omega mates programme. If Cillian doesn't Want her she'll find an Alpha who does. Cillian is the Alpha overseeing and chaperoning the programme and so it then drives home to him just what he stands to lose if Ivana does pick herself a mate and this drives him finally into her arms.

This was an emotional read I do adore the V-Clan wolves they are just so protective of their omegas and are all about the consent. I loved watching Ivana drive Cillian crazy he has to watch her interacting with the competition that stands to replace him in her affections something he doesn't like one bit. Cillian has a lot of internal baggage that has prevented him from claiming Ivana but once he moves past all this he's all in. Ivana was a strong female who knew exactly what she wanted and I appreciated that about her. She hasn't allowed her past to dictate her future. She also isn't prepared to take any shit and that includes Cillian and she also has her own personal demons to contend with. We had some suspenseful danger thrown into the mix and also the origins of another pairing developing here. The seeds are sown here and I'm looking forward to reading that one as it felt darker and much more ominous in tone.

I've devoured every book set in this world and they have all been great. I highly recommend this author they are an easy auto-buy for me and never fail to hit the mark every single time. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Eclipse sector.

For a rejected mate story (wolf shifters, with Omegaverse concepts, in a post-apocalyptic world), this story was quite good! It had the rejected vibes pat down, the torment, the longing and of course, the sexy reunion. The angst was good - could have gone deeper, but it was satisfactory.

On the less positive sides, I think there was a little but too much repetition of the same notions in the convos and the inner musings. So much so, that the angst of 'she's mine but I can't have her' and 'he doesn't want me' spun too much in the same tired circles that it killed the buzz a bit. A good editor should have pointed out the need to trim these (and the pages) to vitalise the pace. Also, the last third of the plot set aside the romance to deal with some big threat and also to launch the next book. While this bit was mildly interesting, I felt it detracted from the main romance.

I think LCF had the right ideas and heart in weaving this story. But a good editor would be a big plus. For instance, that worldbuilding has the potential for layers and complexity but felt wobbly on many levels e.g.

- the confusing use of the term 'sector' to define both the larger realm controlled by Clans and the sub-territories making up said realm; or
- the vagueness about who is a Prince or not; or
- even in the final battle where scores of Alphas attack the main sector which only defended by 3 Alphas? How can such a worldbuilding be sustainable?

Humbly, I would recommend that (a) a deeper mythos intro; and (b) a map of their world (note: books with maps tend to be good books in my experience), would immensely help.

Would I read more from this universe? I am actually super tempted to read the next one about Kodiak Sector. I hope there will be better trimming.

I love Foss’s writing style and world building. She is a one-click author for me. This book had some of my favorite tropes: rejected mate, overheard, unrequited, and grovel. There was a lot of action at the end and I’m looking forward to Ashlynn and Grey’s story.

~ unrequited love
~ age gap
~ Jealous Hero

I did a happy clap when I read the first page introduction:

[For those who love the moment when the rejector becomes the rejectee… Because who doesn’t enjoy a good grovel?

“One of these days, you’re going to ask me to dance, Cillian, and it’ll be too late.” —Ivana]

Only to be SO disappointed! 😩

Ivana has been chasing Cillan for six years after he rescued her from hell. He doesn’t think he deserves a mate bc his life his solely dedicated to King Kieran. Now, the beginning had such promise. Ivana overhears Cillian talking about her and yes, it’s a brutal gut punch. He’s a callous ass.

She AND her wolf say screw him and join the new mating program. Cillian is required to supervise. Immediately Ivana has interested alphas and of course Cillian is jealous. He begins stalking Ivana, interrupting her date and glaring at her suitors BUT still rejects her. She doesn’t even get to kiss anyone. She’s happy he’s jealous and still pines after him. There goes the promise of a strong have some self respect heroine.

Cillian proceeds to betray her trust in an awful way that brought tears to my eyes and I think YES! Here we go, epic grovel here we come! Ivana shuts down, shuts him out….and it lasts a few hours 😭. I was crying at my kindle. There’s no grovel, he just says yeah shouldn’t have done that- Ivana jumps him and just as he’s about to knot her they get interrupted by duty.

It’s downhill from there and I wanted Prince Cael to pull some competition but really he’s just window dressing. The mate games don’t happen because of central plot interruption. Ivana is still chasing him 60% in and he never has to chase her because she just rolls when he gives her the least bit of attention.

Cillian was definitely my least favorite alpha and this story had SO much potential but didn’t live up to the blurb.

“the Alpha who broke my heart is in charge of supervising the mating activities. Which means he’s privy to every interview. Every date. Every kiss.”

There’s some group get togethers, one date and NO kisses.

It’s still a good read, I did enjoy Ivanas character despite her persistence, and perhaps I just want more grovel and angst than others.

Disappointed..

I was looking forward to reading this as I enjoyed the last two books except this was a disappointment. The characters were unlikable and the storyline was weak. The push n pull got old quick and was dragged too long. I kept on hoping that another guy would end up with the heroine. Boring storyline and unlikable characters. Don't care for this series anymore as the next one has the same plotline of the push n pull. No thank you.

Bentornate Fenici!

Ivana was such a wonderful FMC! She’s intelligent and kind but also strong and goes after what she wants. For a large part of this book I did not find Cillian worthy of her. He does eventually open up and we find out what’s happened in his past to make him the way he is. That definitely helped but he had a long way to go in my opinion. Ultimately I am happy with where they were able to get to together.

Loved it

Absolutely loved this book. I couldn’t stop reading once I started. I so wanted to strangle a certain alpha several times, but Ivana is a much better person than me. I love their story, it just grips you. There's so much going on, a mystery that needs to be solved and oh so much more. Loved it

I waited so long for Cillian’s story, it was good, but I hate the miscommunication trope so be forewarned. It’s not the worst use but it still holds true for being incredibly annoying when there’s other things to push the plot forward.

Read if you like: omegaverse, miscommunication, unrequited love, jealousy, shifter romance, magic/powers, fantasy, touch her and die, forced proximity

3.5 ⭐️
Ivana is a sassy fmc who has been in love with Cillian for over 6 years. He has never returned her feelings and she’s done with unrequited love. She decides to find a new alpha in a mating program but Cillian is in charge of supervising the activities.

While I thought the two were cute together, I needed grovel. I wanted him to do SOMETHING after making her hurt for 6 years by rejecting her constantly. I feel like he got let off too easy 😤 There was a point in the book where she wasn’t communicating and did a lot of assuming, this became frustrating as I hate the miscommunication trope 😭

I never understood why Ivana didn’t look at Ashlyn’s journal straight away. I thought she was supposed to be smart, but she never listened to the omega who could see the future?? I’m glad she got to it eventually

Overall I still liked this book, I enjoyed it a lot more than Blood Sector. I recommend reading the series in order, the plot makes more sense when you’ve read book 1 (I skipped book 2 and read it fine though but I’m sure I’m missing information)

Cillian is a fucking tool and I hoped Ivana would get another Alpha that didn’t reject and ridicule her FOR SIX YEARS. I hoped he would suffer, but he got everything he wanted because Ivana is weak against his Alphaness. Bleh.

Well-written but I couldn’t get into Cillian’s character as much as Kieran or Lorcan. I’d also like to know why this entire universe is based around a zombie apocalypse wiping out most humans and sequestering the remaining species into these “sectors,” yet we never see the infected. They’re mentioned sporadically, and there’s one here or there in a couple of the books, but most of the books don’t have a single infected the entire time. This applies even when they travel somewhere, like Eclipse sector, where it’s supposed to be overrun. The excuse was “oh, we shadowed outside of the main city/town so they’re not out this far.” Why make the infected such a big part of the storyline if they’re not actually going to be included in the story? I think it would be cooler if they were incorporated more. There have been a couple of books in the series where I totally forget they’re even a thing. It feels awkward. They also mention a couple of the wolf species being susceptible to the infected virus, so why don’t we have a cool storyline about that? About one of the Ash wolves becoming infected or at risk of being infected, for instance? Missed opportunities :(

She was mine to protect. Mine to… Well, just mine.

This book was soooo good. I adored Ivana and Cillian. Ivana alone was just amazing. She was such a great example of a strong Omega and was simply perfect for Cillian. I loved how stubborn she was and how hard she fought for them to have a future even when all hope seemed lost. And I especially loved when Cillian realized how close he truly was to losing her entirely, when she began to stop seeing him as her hero and as safe. I felt it was a natural progression in their relationship for him to eventually push too hard and go too far and have to deal with the harsh reality of losing her forever.

I loved how much he groveled but in a very sweet, honest and Alpha way. Ivana deserved it and more for dealing with his rejection and rebuffs for six years. I'm glad they found their happiness together, and it didn't take getting to the end of the book for it. Which made sense considering everything that went down in the final chapters that it occured sooner.

I just adored them together as a couple. Their chemistry and connection was insane. I also enjoyed the hell out of Prince Cael. And Kieran as always. His dynamic with Cillian is always a highlight of this series.

I am so impatient for the next installment of this series about Alpha Grey and Ashlyn. I need it nowww.

Ps: I did almost lose my mind for about two chapters when Ivana misunderstood Cillian's explanations when she woke up from her heat. Man, I was so frustrated because Ivana was better than that over emotional reactive type of assumptions but I also understood how intense everything felt after her heat and with her new talents unlocking. I'm just so, so glad it didn't last long and Cillian was able to set her straight and their miscommunication ended swiftly. Otherwise I might've cried because it would've ruined the story for me if it had dragged on.

Favorite Quotes
Because I hated that I couldn’t have her. That she tempted me to want to break all my rules. That she made me want to be selfish for once in my life.

It was divine. Fated. Written in the stars. This male was mine. I was his. And in this moment, everything was right. Everything was perfect. Everything was… magical.

Because I suddenly felt anchored to her. Reliant on her to hold me in place. To ground me. To center me.

“You’re choosing now to sass me, Omega?”
“I’m always going to sass you, Alpha."

“She deserves better than me,” I bit back at him.
“I know,” he agreed, voice still flat. “So do better.”

“You’re going to own me, Vana. Every fucking inch. And I’ll reward you by coming down your pretty little throat.”

“Ask Ivana why she’s upset. Don’t assume. That’s like Women 101, Cillian.

"You’re mine, macushla. I think you’ve been mine since the day we first met.”

"You’re my world now. My priority. My purpose. I love you, Vana. It’s only ever been you for me. Only you."

"The only one I love is you. No one else.”

I liked the angst initially, but after how long H rejected h, I wish h didn’t just forgive so easily and H had to do more groveling.

Plot:
- H has telepathic and mind reading powers, and is part of the elite guard of H from book 1
- h was saved by H 6 years ago, and since that moment, her wolf has decided that he is her mate
- however, H refuses to mate with her, and h just believes he's in denial
- when at a party she overhears H saying how he is not in her league and that she is annoying, she is hurt with the realization that he might not actually want anything to do with her.
- h decides to join in the omega dating program and one of the princes of another sector takes a liking to her
- H's is tortured by his desire to see h with someone she deserves and his desire to have her for himself
- when visiting another sector, H and h get paired to be in the same room sharing one bed (set up by his friend)
- after h goes on a date with a guy who didn't kiss her bc H showed up, H kisses her. However, h interprets it as just a pity kiss since he just showed her how a mate should kiss her
- Even though h tries to know the other bachelors, her hearts just not in it
- She clears her mind by going on a run, and H freaks out, pinning her powers down to teach her a lesson on putting herself in potential danger
- This breaks h's trust in H, especially since she was abused her whole life by her father
- H can't feel her mentally, freaks out, but finds her back at their room in the shower
- He hates how he's hurt her, and tries his best to comfort her. However, as she's feeling better, she starts grilling him on what she overheard. Then, she declares him a coward bc he won't even fight for them, and if that's the case then maybe he is right and not the one for her. H sees her start to lose interest in him and he is devastated by that and starts kissing her. As they're about to fuck, they get interrupted that one of the omegas is missing. She's part vampire and has prophesy powers.
- H and h finally fuck and he makes sure she wants to bc to him, there's no going back. h bites him, but before he complete the mating, she goes into a heat, and they find out that multiple omegas have gone into heat
- H helps her through it, but refuses to bite her since he doesn't know if she was in her heat when she wanted to mate with him
- h wakes up from the heat confused and pregnant. She interprets H's regret for not getting her full consent as rejection of her and the baby
- H freaks out and so does h but they finally come to an understanding of each other
- While H and the other alphas go to another sector to find the missing omega, the home sector gets attacked.
- H and them realize its a red herring, and they go back and defeat the attackers. With h's mind reading and shielding abilities that she got from H, they figure out that the elite guard of the prince that was interested in her was helping another prince with an underground omega trade.
- During the fight, h gets badly injured and H bites her, completing the mating.
- Before they can read the mind of the invaders (one of them an omega who was groomed as young child), they commit suicide

There’s something about the writing style of this author, but in particular when they write about this world, that doesn’t flow with me.
In this instance, I tried reading on, despite my misgivings, because I’ve been wrong before, but it’s getting to the point where I’m just constantly annoyed.
Currently at 41%, the constant flip-floppy nature of Cillian and Ivana makes me angry. If Ivana is going to cut ties with him, then she should bloody do it, regardless of whether he’s changed his mind again. All he has to do is show her some attention and she’s back on the Cillian-train, ready to go where he leads.
Multiple times now she’s decided she is done. For sure. 100%….and then he does something and she folds like a broken piece of origami. I want to scream at her to make her decision and then 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙤 𝙞𝙩.
Gah!!😫
Cillian is the worst because he leads her on and then pulls back. The constant hot and cold of his nature makes me want to stick 𝐡𝐢𝐦 in the pit. I cannot stand confusing men like that.
All of this was the straw that broke the camels back, because we literally 𝓳𝓾𝓼𝓽 came off him physically and mentally abusing her (yes, abusing her, he forced her with his mental powers to kneel, and took away her shadowing ability which keeps her safe), to the point where she had to withdraw in her mind because she felt threatened and no longer safe with him.
Look, that speaks volumes to me. He abused the trust given to him. It broke her. She withdrew mentally to a survival place in her mind. These are all extremely significant events. And yet…the next moment he’s with her in the shower, maintaining eye contact while both naked, refusing to let her go, having this intense moment where he realises he can’t let her go right this moment otherwise she’ll be done with him forever, so he just doesn’t let her let go. It’s the worst! Grow a pair and make a definitive decision! Stop pussy-footing around! Be a bloody man and own your life choices!
This has made me so annoyed. My family don’t deserve my misplaced anger, and I deserve better in my life than a book that treats me like this.

ARC Review

Eclipse sector is set in Lexi C Foss’s X-Clan/V-Clan/Andora Sector/Bariloche Sector world.

Set in a distant future where a zombie-plague killed off 90% of the human race the world is now broken up into sectors and ruled by shifter and vampire clans.

Eclipse Sector is part of the V-clan series and is set predominantly in Blood Sector which is in Iceland.

Ivana is an Omega living in Blood sector for the past six years. She was rescued from her abusive father and brother by Cillian and has been in love with him ever since.

Ivana is one of the best FMC in this world so far. She is the perfect combination of feminine, soft Omega wanting to submit to one Alpha alone but she’s also intelligent, brave, sassy and confident. Ivana knows what she wants and she isn’t afraid to ask for it and she knows what she’s worth and what she deserves and won’t settle for less.

When Cillian rejects her and she overhears him putting her down to a friend she decides she done chasing him and joins a dating pool to find love elsewhere. This has the immediate effect of making Cillian jealous.

Cillian is an Alpha who is both dominant and protective but who doesn’t want to break Ivana and he genuinely respects her which is refreshing. Cillian has a dark past which holds him back from claiming the one Omega he has wanted for 6-years. He’s a bit of a frustrating martyr but when he finally gives in he’s all in.

I really enjoyed Ivana and Cillian’s story as well as the side plot that’s leading into the next book, Kodiak Sector.

Eclipse Sector by Lexi C. Foss is an exhilarating dystopian omegaverse that grabs your attention from the start. Ivana has harbored a crush on Cillian for six long years, but he keeps her at arm's length. That all changes when she finally takes the hint and enters the mating pool, prompting Cillian to realize he might not be able to let her go after all. As danger looms over the omegas, Ivana and Cillian must join forces to save them.

I absolutely adored this book! There’s no waiting around to see what’s brewing between Ivana and Cillian; the chemistry is instant and electric. Even when Cillian tries to push her away, the tension is palpable, and halfway through, things turn steamy in the best possible way. Ivana is intelligent, strong, and sassy, never afraid to challenge her alpha. The balance between Ivana and Cillian makes them the perfect partners. The plot is filled with mysteries and surprises as they navigate a world where distinguishing friends from foes is crucial. I simply couldn’t put this book down.

Eclipse Sector is a standalone that is part of a captivating shared universe. If you loved this story, I have no doubt you'll enjoy exploring other tales within this universe. For fans of dystopian omegaverses packed with sassy omegas and possessive alphas, Eclipse Sector is an absolute must-read.

It includes:
- Fated Mates
- Special Powers
- Mating
- Heats
- Knotting
- Purring
- Mysteries
- Betrayals
- Dystopian Society
- ABO
- Spice

I have to really applaud Ivana, because if I were in her shoes with Cillian, I probably would have something not very nice. Cillian was one stubborn SOB and every time he tried to convince himself that he was doing the right thing, all I wanted to do was enter into the book and punch him myself because he was clearly as miserable as Ivana was, and Ivana didn't even know what his issue was. At least I had an insider's look into his thoughts, but she had no idea, and honestly, having his thoughts didn't really help because I still wanted to punch him. Lexi wasn't kidding when she said in her Facebook group that he was being stubborn.

I really enjoyed and admired Ivana resilience in this book. She knew what she wanted and she went after it, even when she finally thought things really weren't going to ever work out between them. She was able to get through Cillian's stubborn head and get him to see that the past doesn't always define your future, no matter how much you think it might. Ivana and Cillian had a lot to overcome in this book, but I thought it was done wonderfully and just made them come out stronger when they finally did get together.

I can't wait for Ashlyn's story. It seems like it's going to be quite the story, and I'll be (im)patiently waiting for next November for it. I would really recommend this book if you like a good grovel. Cillian has to do quite a bit of that to get back in Ivana's good graces after his numerous f-ups.

I absolutely loved Ivana—she was such a fantastic FMC! Smart, kind, and strong, she always went after what she wanted, and I admired her for it. For a large part of the book, I honestly didn’t think Cillian was worthy of her. Ivana handled everything with so much grace, and if I were in her shoes, I know I’d have some choice words for Cillian. He was incredibly stubborn, and every time he tried to convince himself he was doing the right thing, all I could think was: someone needs to knock some sense into him. I understood his thoughts, but Ivana was left in the dark about his reasons, and I can only imagine how frustrating that must have been for her.

Despite my frustration with Cillian, I have to give Ivana credit for breaking through his walls. She helped him see that the past doesn’t have to define your future, no matter how hard you try to hold onto it. They both had a lot to overcome, but their journey was so well done, and by the time they finally came together, it felt like they were both stronger for it.

Overall, this was a fantastic read, and I can’t wait for Ashlyn’s story—she seems like she’s going to have quite the adventure. I’ll be (im)patiently waiting for it! If you enjoy a good grovel and a slow-burn romance, I highly recommend this book. As always, this review is completely voluntary, and my opinions are my own—I wasn’t compensated in any way.

In a world where Omega's should be revered, there are others who view them as "things", property to be used. But there are those who believe that the omega's are gifts to be cherished and protected at all costs....

Ivana- Was rescued from 6 years ago by Elite Cillian and has spent the last 6 years convinced she was just playing a long game to get his attention and his bite. It wasn't until she overheard his harsh words concerning her, she decided to join the omega sanctuary program to find an alpha who will love her as much as she thought she loved Cillian.

Cillian- A Prince who can be king, but feels his history and bloodline makes him unfit to be anything than King Killian's Elite. His right hand. He is determined to spend the rest of his life protection those less powerful to make up for his father. His obsession with Ivana, makes him feel like a liability, and if that means pushing the fiery omega away, he will do it. Until he sees another alpha, a PRINCE Alpha, take interest in his omega...

This is the third standalone novel in the V-Clan Wolves series, set in the Omegaverse with A/B/O dynamics, featuring knotting, nesting, and biting. While each book focuses on a different couple, they are all connected within the same world. This installment centers on Cillian and Ivana, though we also see some familiar faces from previous books, including Killian & Quinnlynn (Blood Sector) and Lorcan & Kyra (Night Sector).

Ivana, an Omega, has known for six years that Cillian is her destined mate, but he has continuously resisted the bond. When she overhears him dismissing her as childish and expressing no interest in her, Ivana decides to take matters into her own hands by joining the newly launched Eligible Omega Mates Program. She wants to find an Alpha who values and cherishes her.

Cillian is furious at Ivana’s decision but refuses to enroll in the program as an eligible Alpha. Instead, he is assigned to protect the Omega participants from harm. A deep-seated emotional trauma from his past, stemming from his father’s actions, influences Cillian’s reluctance. Both he and Ivana have endured difficult upbringings—Ivana as an Omega, seen as nothing more than property, and Cillian as a powerful Alpha, burdened by the expectations of his status.

At its heart, this story is about healing from abandonment, embracing fresh starts, and seeking true happiness. Both Cillian and Ivana must face their painful pasts before they can embrace the love they deserve.

Heat- 3
Tropes- rejected mate, touch her and die, miscommunication
Need to know- Read the previous books

Despite it using my least favorite trope, miscommunication, I really enjoyed Cillian and Ivana’s story. Ivana knows Cillian is her mate, so her faith in the fact that wanted her never wavered even though he repeatedly pushed her away. That is until she overhears him discussing her with a friend. It forces her to search for another mate. I loved that this decision wasn’t a game or ploy. Not a single part of her thought about making Cillian jealous. She simply recognized that she deserved better and went for it. This also wasn’t a case where the man only wanted something once it was out of reach. Cillian always wanted Ivana. His determination not to ever mate kept him away from her. He sincerely thought what he wanted was for Ivana to be happy with someone else. It isn’t until that becomes an actual possibility that he faces the reality of living without her.

The V-Clan novels are tightly woven interconnected standalones. Unlike some standalones where previous leads are just side characters, in this series their problems spill over. In fact, most of the action here wasn’t centered on Ivana and Cillian at all. Of course they played pivotal roles, but it wasn’t really about them. They weren’t the targets.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but hear me out. Eclipse Sector kind of reminds me of Twilight. 🫣 There are blood-drinking wolf shifters with magic. The MMC, Cillian, has a unique ability, is power incarnate, and is brooding. Oh, brooding. The MFC, Ivana, is stubborn as she is confident, has a uniqueness all her own, and is determined for them to be together. His stubbornness is outmatched by hers. It's like Lexi put Twilight in a blender and her own uniqueness to it and made it into an omegaverse.

It was amazingly good. I loved Ivana and Cillian, although his idiocy made me want to strangle him for most of the story. I loved when he finally got out of his own way, after that, he was great. The passion and care he showed Ivana made my heart beat just a little bit faster. I enjoyed the story. The mix of something like a dating game, the tension between the MCs, and the mystery that popped up all made for an excellent read.

Eclipse Sector was my first full-length omegaverse by Lexi, I've only got a glimpse of this world in her Exiled Sector novella, and I am blown away. I really enjoyed her unique take on omegaverse, her world-building was incredibly detailed, and the magic was exciting. I definitely want to check out the other books in this world.

I've honestly never read an Omegaverse book before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was an intricate world filled with well-fleshed out characters. I jumped into the middle of the series with book 3 and was able to follow along just fine. So, I can attest to the fact it can be read as a standalone. That being said, I think it would benefit the reader to start with book 1, just because then you'd get the full backstory on the other characters in the book. Yes, it still makes sense without doing that, but they're so likable and intriguing, why wouldn't you want to?

Cillian is a too-stubborn-for-his-own-good hero who is terrified of becoming his father. So much so, that he's denying the powerful connection he has with Ivana. Luckily for him, Vana is such a strong woman, it takes a lot for her to crumble...or give up on the man she loves. I so appreciate the fact she doesn't just sit there pining, waiting for Cillian to come to his senses. And I love that she makes him work for it when he finally does.

The entire world Foss created is fascinating. Learning about it feels like opening a chest and finding little treasures you know you'll cherish. I’d recommend this book to anyone who loves intricately woven fantasies with bonus heat.

Excellent Addition to the Series! While each book in this series can be enjoyed as a standalone, I highly recommend starting from the beginning to fully immerse yourself in the intricately built Sectors and their dynamics. I’ve been eagerly awaiting Killian and Ivana’s story! Vana has been a thorn in Killian’s side for ages, constantly vying for his attention and hoping he’ll claim her as his mate. But Killian, ever the dutiful Second to the King, is determined to live a life of service, forsaking love and pushing her away at every turn. That is… until someone else shows interest.

When Ivana gives up and enters the Omega pool (a kind of ceremonial meet-and-greet for unmated Alphas and Omegas), Killian's long-buried feelings start to shift. Especially when Kale, a powerful and very interested rival Alpha, enters the picture with his sights set firmly on Ivana.I absolutely adored Evana’s character. She’s feisty, sharp-witted, and more than capable of holding her own. She is exactly the kind of Omega to keep Killian on his toes.As always, the narration was superb. I’m a longtime fan of Kale Williams and Lisa Zimmerman, and they delivered a perfectly matched performance that brought these characters to life beautifully.

Overall:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Romance: ❤❤️❤️❤️❤️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

TROPES: Forced Proximity, Miscommunication, Sworn Off Relationships, Emotional Scars

Who doesn’t love a grumpy alpha-hole? One that thinks he doesn’t deserve to be with the Omega his wolf craves? Sigh. Just the kind of angst that always sucks me right in.

Cillian, an Alpha who’s sworn off ever taking a mate and has managed to do so for over 1000 years, can’t get Ivana, the annoyingly talkative, pushy, forward Omega out of his head even though he tries really hard. Always keeping her at an arm’s length away, he’s forced to face his inner demons or lose her forever.

The plot is fast-paced with several twists and turns but has a HEA for our mc’s.

You don’t have to have read any other books in this world that Lexi has so brilliantly built in order to fall in love with Cillian and Ivana. There are crossover characters so once you finish this book I suggest you go and read all about the other couples in their books. Please refer to the author’s website for titles and reading order for her other series.

This was a fast-paced book filled with plot twists ,intriguing character introductions from previous books that you don't need to have to read, as well as new characters.I definitely was picturing The Bachelor minus the rose 🌹 replaced with a bite for the Eligible Omega Mate Program and enjoyed this concept.
From a grumpy Alpha-hole who is convinced he doesn't deserve happiness to an unyielding main female character that knows just how to push his buttons crossed with a sequence of events you get a storyline that keeps you turning those pages anxiously. I am eagerly anticipating the next story of Ashlyn and Alpha Grey

Cillian rescued Ivana 6 years ago and ever since she knew he was the one for her. However, Cillian resisted all attempts by Ivana. One night Ivana heard Cillian list all her faults to his friend. That night she decided to give up on Cillian put herself in to a sort of dating pool for other Alphas to see if she could find some one compatible with her. Little did she know what the consequences of her actions would bring. What was going on behind the scenes, and what was the cryptic remarks made to her by another omega reported to have visions? What was in Cillian’s past that made him swear alliance to King Kieran? However, that past has also impacted his life to never take a mate. The mysteries abound in this story, some of them from years past. The twist and tangles in this story you will not get bored trying to solve all the puzzles. Although, this is a stand-alone story, there is fabulous characters depicted in this story that I would love to see a book about them. I will be watching.

Wow, what a story, Ivana was such a strong and fiesty character who gets turned down by her chosen mate. So she sets of to prove him wrong and join the mating program But Cillian was so pig headed that he couldnt see what he was missing which made me frustrated at times that he didnt get things together sooner. And soon the chemistry starts to bild between them and they literally couldn't keep their hands off each other. But at one point I literally couldn't put it down and there was so many emotions runing throuh my head with this story which made me a complete wreck for Ivana when it came to Cillian but thats not all. There is a danger lurking behind the shadows, and a missing person that needs to be fould. I loved the guest appearance from the previous stories and how this story tied together even though it can be read as a standalone. And now I can't wait to read about Ashlyn story next.
