I think those that lived through those years probably fried their brain cells on acid and whatever anyway, so the book will serve as an aide memoire when telling stories to their grandchildren. As they say, "Lest we forget"

I have the original 2002 edition, which is 663 pages; I'd like to read this longer edition as well.

This is a terrific encyclopedia (and dictionary) that does a good job of covering the history of the counterculture movement of the 1960s & 1970s. I’m a baby boomer and was an adolescent and young adult living in San Francisco during most of this time period – I smiled a lot in recognition while reading this book.

The indispensable encyclopedia

I liked the form and content of this awesome book.
