Mia Whitlock, an investigative journalist, trying to get the dirt on the bad guys, puts herself in danger after sneaking into the back of a nightclub owned by the Italian Mafia.
Matteo Marello, the top enforcer is bad news and Mia, unfortunately, has captured his attention.
When Valentin Sokolov realises she’s in danger, he pulls her into his arms and kisses her. Intrigued and attracted to the mystery woman, he does everything he can to find out who she is and when he does, he inveigles himself into her life.
Val is extremely attracted to Mia and knows she is perfect for him but convincing her to be his woman isn’t going to be easy.
Mia is independent and not used to asking for help but when Val saves her life, she realises that he’s a good guy and that she’s falling for him.
Mia ends up in a relationship with Valentin but when she ends up in peril, she isn’t sure she’ll ever see him again.

I have written over 100 books under the pseudonym of Becca Van and decided it was time for a change. I am now writing and self-publishing under the pseudonym of Becky Wilde under Whimsical Words Publishing.

I live in the southern state of Victoria in Australia. I have been married to my husband for almost 34 years and though we’ve had our ups and downs like any normal couple, we’re still going strong.

We have two adult children, a girl and a boy whom we love dearly.

Australia is a vast country with tropical forests, vast deserts, and sweeping plains. Due to the lack of water and vast aridity, a large part of the country is uninhabitable, and most of the population lives along the coastlines. Although Australia can be harsh, I find it to be a wonderful country.

I love my country, the changing landscapes and the friendly people.

When I told my man I wanted to self-publish he immediately started researching how to do this.
I am lucky because he did an internet marketing course a while ago and thanks to his knowledge we decided to create our own publishing platform.

A well-structured love story. I felt as if I were enjoying a well-directed love story where the characters are meeting, fortunately, fall attracted, one denies, the other persuades, and eventually, due to the circumstances, they fall for each other. The main characters, Valentin Sokolov and Mia Whitlock, and other characters will come to fill the gaps and keep the story running. ' Mia is an investigating journalist, and she risks her life to get her job done, where she attracts the attention of dangerous people. This puts her life in danger, which leaves no choice for Valentin, and he has to come to save her from them all. Although he has fallen for her, it has been a difficult road of persuasion for him. She is independent and couldn't accept it so easily, but the love grows, keeping the readers engaged, and they form a bond of affection. But something still remains unresolved, and this brings more interest for the readers. The plots are well drafted, and the story is easy-flowing; you will enjoy reading them. Some characters are written with a "heroic texture," and this makes them more gripping.
