When his boy is taken from him, Leviathan will do anything to get him back...even if it means burning down the world.
Trapped in an inescapable prison—Leviathan should know, he designed it himself—he only has one chance for freedom. And with his bonded taken by his ex-boyfriend, the sadistic Puck, there's no time to waste. But Puck's plan is bigger than just revenge, and there's more at stake than Leviathan realizes. Saving his boy might mean dooming the world.
Eryn watched Leviathan—his Master, his Daddy—get stabbed in the back by a stranger, and there was nothing he could do to help. Taken by the old wix and with his life on the line, he has no choice but to find a way to escape on his own. But what is he supposed to do when he escapes one danger by running right into the arms of another?
Aries doesn't want to keep his best friend locked up, and he definitely doesn't want to see anything happen to his best friend's bonded, but as a federal agent, he has to do what he can to keep the peace—especially once he learns of an upcoming threat more dangerous than anyone is prepared for.
I'm going to be honest and say i got about 85% before i just dnf. Honestly, i don't understand the point of half this book. Aries/Rory storyline was convoluted, the Eryn/Leviathan storyline was basically absent, and Levi's imprisonment/bloodbath/punishment just... irritated me. It's like the author took everything that made the first book interesting, threw it out, took random ideas and threw them into a blender and ran with those.
Imo, this is like the Matrix. Stop at the first. The first book is good.

the blood demons collar starts right where book 1 left off and THANK GOD cause I couldn’t wait any longer!! Book 1 was one of my fave reads of 2023 and I’m pleased to say that The Blood Demon’s Collar was just as amazing!! 🤩
One of the things I loveddddd is that the book is written in multiple POV and WE HAVE NEW POINT OF VIEWSSSS yes people we get to know some of our (my fave) side characters even better and *SQUEAL* potentially new and old couples are introduced 🤯
And with that let me jump from writing style to plot! IT IS GOOD we have the continuation and thickening of the “old plot” from book 1, which was great cause a lot of questions I had were… well not answered haha but let’s say addressed and MORE QUESTIONS were raised but also so many intriguing potential subplots and theories 🤩 this includes “ the demon drama” which I mentioned in my review of book 1, I felt like there was so much potential there but there just wasn’t any space for it in book 1 - well I applaud you for not rushing or trying to squeeze it in and just spreading it over this seriessss Aaaaaahh - good choice!!
And I have to repeat I love the introduction of multiple povs which also allowed for multiple storylines and these work together building subplots and an intruiging bigger picture which I justttttt can’t see clearly yet!! So much next book potential (ARIESSSS ANDDDD 👀👀)
And then we have THE EMOTIONS, THE PAIN, THE SUSPENSE, and many many many “holy f*cks” 😂😭💗👀🤯
Yet another well written book which I couldn’t put down and I am super excited for the next instalment (TELL ME WHENNNNN I NEED IT NOW 🤣) 4 stars 🌟 defo recommend!
Nooooo, say it isn't so, another abrupt ending... you're killing me here!!! The ending just snuck up on me.
I love this series and can't wait to see what's next... but, I hate to wait. At least it was only 3 months between books 1 and 2. I didn't even have to reread any pieces and parts before diving into book 2 since I remembered what happened previously.
Wow! What a great follow up. I'm so invested in these characters and their happiness, I love when that happens.
This book, just like book 1, brought tears to my eyes. Poor sweet Eyrn just keeps getting the raw end of the deal.
It's important to read these books in order for everything to make sense.
This book was absolutely what a sequel to a trilogy is suppose to be. Much different than book one. This story was more story telling and bringing in Aries and Rory while tying up loose ends from book one. I have a feeling Levi and Eryn’s story isn’t over just because Levi got disavowed by his father… obviously cause Eryn still has his life stone in him… anyways… rambling now. This book was a lot of information but definitely needed to get us to book 3.
First of all, thank you so much to KD for sharing your work with me!! I loved book 1, and this one brings Eryn and Levi’s story to a whole new level, including a painful separation and some fascinating new characters! This book picks up where book 1 ends, so I don’t want to spoil that ending. This book was fast-paced, exciting, and super emotional. We find Levi and Eryn separated and unable to get back to each other, both of them experiencing awful circumstances. We also get more in depth with Aries, Levi’s dear friend and royal fae who’s now living amongst the humans. Eryn also brings us a few new characters who he meets in his time away, and I’m completely intrigued by them (Whisper!! Three!!) Through the whole story, Levi and Eryn let insecurities and tragedy get to them, but they never give up on themselves or each other. They are so determined, and it’s their bond that keeps them both going. I know this review is all over the place but I’m trying not to spoil anything!! I will say I’m super excited for the next one!!! -PNR -Demon/Werewolf -Daddy/boy -Kidnapping -Destruction -A fascinating group of PN characters!

Tu n'as pas à me regarder.
« Je suis tombé sur le Whisper. Tu avais raison. Il a sûrement été mis au collet. Il a dit qu'il te rappelait Tripper. »
Independent reviewer for GRR, I was gifted my copy of this book.
This is book 2 in the Demon Daddy series, and it cannot be read as a stand alone. You NEED to read book one, The Blood Demon's Pet, first. But be warned, THAT book ends on a mahoosive cliff hanger, so make sure you have both books before you start.
I loved book one, I really did but this one didn't quite hit the spots that one did, and I can only assume it's because Levi and Eryn spend a huge part of this book apart.
Eryn was kidnapped at the end of book one by Puck, Levi's previous pet. Eryn goes through a huge ordeal before being able to escape and return home with 2 more escapees. There is much that happens to Eryn, a sexual assault is the most serious. I wasn't aware there was an on page assault coming at me, it's not in the trigger warnings. BUT while you know what happens, you do not get it described at all. It happens and then when it was all over, we carry on.
Levi is in a prison of his own making, but also he made a get out for just this reason, but it takes time and energy to get out, so Eryn suffers while Levi builds his strength. Levi's father pops up and deals Levi a crushing blow, simply because Levi wants his pet back.
It's as dark and deadly as book 1, with more emotions raging for both Eryn and Levi. there is a good deal of violence in the book, but I think it was needed to get the point across: Levi wants Eryn and he will do what he needs to, to get him back. And he does.
Aries, Levi's friend, gets a say here. I liked him in book one, but we didn't get him and he plays a huge part here. He also has a story to tell, given the arrival of a past love. that story has a lot of misunderstanding in, I think! I need their story too, please!
I found this a fitting closure to the cliff hanger in book one, and I want more. That's always a good sign, that I want more!
Unfortunately, I liked the first book more than this one. Everything happened too quickly for my liking, and, to be honest, there were many things I didn't enjoy. To start with, Leviathan's massacre didn't make sense to me. He literally achieved nothing with it, only escaped from prison, and still couldn't manage to save Eryn. It was thanks to the agents that they reunited, and Eryn survived everything that happened in the entire book on his own. At the beginning, I must admit Eryn stressed me out a lot lol; he was very helpless and weak. He was just so powerless. But, I have to say he proved me wrong by surviving on his own and coping with his traumas in this book. On the other hand, Leviathan was completely useless and didn't achieve anything more than losing all his powers and getting disowned by his father lol. Very disappointing considering his character.
I should also mention that I kinda lost interest in the relationship between Leviathan and Eryn. I liked that this book focused more on individual characters, such as Aries. However, I think that it also made me not care much about the underdeveloped romance between them. The book left a lot to be desired regarding the romance, to be honest. And it showed just how flimsy their relationship was since in the first book communication was almost non-existent.
On the other hand, I genuinely liked the fact that this book focused more on individual characters, especially Eryn, although we didn't see or learn much about Leviathan beyond his father's brief appearance. Aries also seems to have an interesting story, and his interactions with his agents were quite entertaining.
I suppose many things will be answered and resolved in the following books, but honestly, I don't know if I'm still interested in continuing to read.
— Thank you to the GRR team and KD Ellis for providing me with an ARC !
I so enjoyed the first book - the relationship between Eryn and Levi was so fun to read, and the spice was spicing. The story was building up well and I was really excited to get into the second book!
The overall tone of this book was much different than the first one. The story was more scattered, going from two POVs in the first book to four POVs in this one. The fact that Aries was labeled as "Princeling" in the chapter heading threw me off, because I wasn't expecting his story to come into play.
I agree with other reviewers - Levi's destruction and banishment doesn't make sense. Yes, we see in the first book that Levi has never had a soul bond, but he also pointed out several times that he and Eryn were not to that point. Levi is also incredibly old - beyond comprehension old - and he blows up his entire existence?? On the *chance* that a soul bond could form???
Personally, if I hadn't been so invested in the first book, I would have stopped as soon as I realized what was going to happen to Eryn when he got to the molly house. I do not like reading about SA - it happens so much in real life I do not want it in my entertainment - that even though KD was not graphic in the description, it threw me out of the story and changed how I felt about this book.
I'm glad Eryn was able to make it back to his original pack, and that the Alpha was still there and alive and well. I love that Three and Nine were able to go with Eryn, and hopefully their stories will be told eventually. The ending snuck up on me and I am curious about Rory and Aries' story.
Overall I'm glad I read it because it didn't leave the reader hanging from the cliff from the first book. But I probably wouldn't go back for a reread.

After the way that the first book ended with that huge cliff hanger I was certainly ready to dive right into book 2 and this one kept me hooked from start to finish. I was drawn into the plot and the path each individual took, whether it was Levi, Eryn or even Aries. It was great to see Eryn grow as a character and gain in confidence. I also thought that I got an even better sense of the world building in this story, especially with all the scenes following Aries and his interactions with different agents and people from his past. I was glad that Levi and Eryn got their happy ending together but because they spent 90% of the story apart I think it was ultimately book 1 that really showed their growing connection and chemistry. I wasn't a big fan of the events with the Harbinger and how Aries seemed to just shut down towards Levi at that point. From a plot perspective, I get it... but because I like Levi so much as a character I was still left thinking how harsh it all was. Also, the ending definitely intrigued me about Aries and his story moving forward but I'd have liked a little bit more from Eryn and Levi at the end to really show how their lives are going to go and how they'll adapt to the changes that have happened. They feel a little unfinished but perhaps we'll see more of them in other books. Overall, this is a good book and it was well-written. It definitely answers the cliff hanger from book 1 and sets up nicely for the next story too.
This book is the second in what looks like a multi book series. Although it sort of finishes the storyline of the first book, it starts a secondary storyline with another character and also leaves some open ends for the original main characters and a couple of new side characters. The previous book ended in a pretty major cliffhanger and this one immediately picks up where that one ends. Eryn and Levi are sorely tested in this book - both individually and as a couple. I can't say much more without giving away too much and I really think it's best enjoyed by experiencing it as it unfolds. There is a lot that happens to both men and the introduction of some new side characters. Suffice it to say, an old friend's betrayals, old enemy's evil plans and unexpected allies in the midst of terrible circumstances all play out in a gripping story that really begs "what would you do for love?". Commander Aries is a character I'm still on the fence about. I think his story will be next and hopefully it will paint him in a little better light than this one. I'm just having a hard time liking him after what he does to Levi. I hope the two formally abused omegas that Eryn helps will get a story. I think they both deserve a HEA after everything they've been through and I hope Alpha Dixon gets what he deserves. I'd really like to see more of Eryn and Levi, as well, and somehow I don't think their story is quite over yet. This is one of those series that just keeps you wanting to know more and I will definitely be following along as the books are released. I can honestly say that I'm a fan of K.D. Ellis's writing and I very much enjoyed reading these first two books. 5/5"
The Blood Demon's Collar is the second book in the Demon Daddy but it is Daddy in name only for most of the book. Eryn and Levi have their separate stories to tell before they meet up again. Also, Aries has a bigger role in this one. He meets someone from his past called Rory, and I just know things are about to get twisted for him.
I loved Book 1. I devoured it!!! And I couldn't wait for this one. I'm so glad I've read it, but consider yourself warned... it is different to Book 1 in many ways. You do need to have read that to understand what is going on in this one.
The story moves on and lays the groundwork for the overall story arc but I found myself missing Eryn and Levi together. They are such good characters and it was fireworks when they were together in Book 1. I completely understand Levi's attitude but I just wanted more of them. Hopefully, they will be in the next books too, so I can see how they're faring.
A great addition to the series, but not what I was expecting. I can't wait to read more.

New characters and a lot of story-building - Excited to see where the series takes us
I'm still a bit miffed at the moment This ends on not really a cliffy, more a to be continued that left me anxious as all hades and curious I have all kinds of what-ifs going on in my head right now as well as a "what the ever loving where you thinking?" I am holding out hope things will make sense as we progress especially after a personal revelation by a character that maybe this was what they wanted all along - I am not spoiling. Moving on. A couple of new players are introduced in this episode and we also get some new storylines All kinds of hades break out - Friends betray (that is my opinion)- Skeletons are exposed and so much more This moves really fast compared to book one A lot happens I was left with more questions than answers Was this really Daddy's new reality? And the princeling... OMG I'm a bit speechless Eryn, what about what he carries And the Omegas? I'm trying not to give spoilers but hades! It's hard This had a lot going on compared to book one. A lot of foundation building for the series and character introduction as well as some backstory I personally wish it had been a bit longer so some of the scenes could have had more focus But that is a me thing You gotta read book one and yes it is a series worth starting
I liked the first book but this was not what I expected from the second. So much was set up by the time the cliffhanger reared its ugly head, but the follow through didn't live up to the promise.
Eryn really grew in this book, finding strength and determination to escape and survive. He completely captured my attention throughout, and I loved how he became a caretaker and protector. Seeing him going back to his old pack, reuniting with Alpha Carrick and realising how skewed his perception was of his life there, was actually my favourite part of the book. Aries played a larger part than I expected but I enjoyed his storyline, and after that apbrupt and foreboding ending, I know I'll have to read his story next.
Leviathan is incredibly mad. His ex stole his boy and he is locked up in an inescapable prison which he built so he would know. He has to rescue his boy from his ex as Puck is sadistic and has other motives as well. The only plan he can devise could cause lots of destruction and death. His boy, Eryn, is devastated when a stranger stabs Levi and grabs him. Eryn knows he must escape and get back to his daddy, Levi. But escaping may put him in danger from other sources.
There is a lot going on in this book. The voices in the various chapter include not only Levi and Eryn but also Aires, Puck and Rory. Aires has a bigger role as he trying to prevent the destruction. He also meets someone from his past, Rory. It is clear we will see more of these two in additional books. I enjoyed book one with Levi and Eryn together. In this one they are separated and both suffer as a result. I have a few questions that I hope will be answered in the future. Great story but be sure to read book one first so it will make sense. I received a complimentary copy of this book and it was my pleasure to voluntarily leave this review.
This was different than I was expecting after reading the first book. I did like that we see Eryn really evolve and I loved that he learns how to save himself. Eryn has been through so much so I appreciated him discovering his strength, I just wish he didn’t have to face so much peril along the way. I also wish Levi wasn’t brought so low as a result of his quest to rescue Eryn. However, I did enjoy the overall plot and the author does an excellent job with the setting and filing it with interesting characters. I just would have liked more focus on the relationship and less on heaping more trauma on Eryn. I thought the Daddy part of the story is very minimal and wish Levi and Eryn weren’t apart for most of this book. While it didn’t quite work for me as a romance, I did enjoy other aspects. I loved revisiting Eryn’s old pack and I loved the addition of Nine and Three to Eryn’s story. Plus, the writing is excellent and the villains are suitably evil. The world the author created is engrossing and I do look forward to Aries’ story.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Sadly, I don’t enjoy the second book as much as I did the first. I was looking forward to it after the cliffhanger we were left with, but it just feels like every trope possible was shoved into this relatively short book and it was still a bit lacking. Way too much happened, and instead of just focusing on one thing, the characters were all pulled off in different directions doing different side quests.
I mean, Leviathan and Eryn spend most of the book away from each other and aren’t even reunited until, like, the 80% mark? We’d barely gotten to see them working out their relationship, so when big declarations of love came at the end, I just couldn’t really connect with them, since they’d spent the majority of the story apart anyway.
I will say that I like how Eryn found his backbone in this book. Compared to the meek little pup he was in book 1, he really pulled it out of the bag and got himself together in this instalment. It made me like his character a lot more than I did previously. Levi, he was just kind of there in this half to be honest. He was locked up, managed to escape, went on a raging blood binge, and for what? To lose his immortality and status as a demon prince? It didn’t contribute to saving Eryn at all really, and ultimately Eryn saved himself.
One thing I did think in the previous book and again in this one… I wish there was a bit more context about how the world came to be this way. And maybe a bit more info on the life stone Eryn swallowed and its significance... There’s a lot of mentions of different species and the day the world changed when they started coming through the veil, etc., but I could’ve done with more context as this is a classic example of an author building a world and forgetting to explain things to the audience since they know it really well inside their head.
Finally, I probably could’ve gone without the chapters from Aries and Rory. They’ll have their own book coming, their chapters could’ve overlapped with this story’s timeline rather than being dropped in here. I really don’t think they added to Eryn and Levi’s story, and in all honesty, I skimmed through them all because I just felt they weren’t necessary and took me away from the couple I desperately wanted to read about.
Both books have a great premise, and I really enjoyed the first half. But just unfortunately I was left a bit unsatisfied in the end.

What an explosive sequel to an intensely powerful beginning! We met so many amazing new characters, dived further into established characters lives, while biting nails on the uncertainty of Levi and Eryn’s future and learning about Arie and Rory’s past. Like the first time, the storyline was radiant, even though there was nowhere near the amount of passion, the change of direction was appreciated.
Eryn’s character was a bit more tougher than the first time, maybe because he was having to fend off more than expected negativity and responsible for the safety of others. Either way, his shyness wore off quickly and he began to stand up for himself. Levi, on the other hand, was faced with so many different challenges, never forgetting his goal of saving his boy. And their reunion…..🔥🔥🔥🔥

Oh Aries, we were finally able to name the one who broke your heart. And is he a spitfire or what?!?! I cannot wait to dive more into their story and hopefully find some hot, sexy fun on the way
This book picks up right after book 1 ended. Eryn is in Puck’s clutches, Levi is locked up, Ares wants to help but his hands are tied, and it all takes off from there. This is more Eryn’s story for at least half the book as he constantly meets road blocks and dangerous situations, always trying to find and get back to Levi, never giving up. Levi has his own problems, which don’t bode well for the city. Lots of time on the edge of your seat, engaging and compelling characters, lots of action, meeting old “friends” and family, nasty villains, and really strong unexpected consequences. I was totally involved from beginning to end, and am looking forward to Ares’ story next, as Levi and Eryn are stable for now. This is one of my favorite authors, and the books never disappoint. Not much of the “normal” romance in this book, less steam, more adventure and action, but engrossing all the way. I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary review.
First and foremost, I agree with the reviews: the whole situation with Levi made no sense.
Also, I don't give a sh*t about Aries. I started this book because I wanted to read about Eryn and Levi getting their happily ever after, not because I was in any shape or form interested in the life of a side character. But that was exactly what I got.
In and of itself, I might have enjoyed reading this, BUT it was just so different from the type of story that was set up in book 1 that I could not enjoy it.
Oh, and before I forget: why is the asshole rapist alpha wolf Dixon (I think that was his name) not dead yet? Do I have to wait for a book 3, which I obviously won't be reading, to get some closure??? This would have all worked a lot better if the author had focused on one couple at the time in my opinion.
Phew, glad I got that of my chest. On to the next book.
KD Ellis has long been a favorite writer of contemporary romance, but the same thing that make the contemporary stories so compelling, great characters having to save themselves and those they love as well as protect the rest of society appear in the paranormal books along with wonderful world building. This second book picks up where book one left off, with Leviathan and Eryn trying to escape and reunite with each other. Neither is quite sure that the other is alive but they'll move heaven and earth to find out. For these two, the main focus initially is each other but there's a whole lot more going on that either of them realizes and unfortunately for Aries, it's his job to focus on the fate of the rest of the world as well as his friend. Suspense, action and hard ethical choices for these wonderful characters make this a stupendous read.
Whoa whoa whoa, while I expected another cliffhanger I didn’t know it’d be Aries and his long lost boo! Just when I was ready to dive into that relationship it gets taken from me?! 😣 Thank goodness Levi and Eryn get things sorted after the first book’s cliffhanger 🙃
This series has been so much fun to get into, the world is so rad and the characters have been a treat to get to know. The story is really fucking heavy at times but it doesn’t feel like unnecessary angst for the MCs as they talk about and resolve things #communicationissexyaf
I’m excited for the next book in this series, I hope that Levi and Eryn will still be there but I cannot wait to see Aries burn the world to the ground for Rory 💔
This picks up right where we left off, Levi has been captured and in an unbreakable prison cell, while Eryn is left to the mercy of Puck.
Eryn gets help from an unexpected source, stumbles into a Pack that does things a lot backwards, and gains a new appreciation for the home he left.
Levi, on the other hand, shows exactly what kind of destruction he is capable of, no matter the cost.
We also start to get some back story about Aries, more of who is and where he comes from. Perhaps a secondary story to go along with Levi and Eryn, or possible a whole other book? We'll have to wait and see. While interesting, I felt there was too much time with Aries and a mystery man than Levi and Eryn.
This is a tough one. Not exactly a romance, since the MCs spend about 85% of the book apart. However, since book 1 left us teetering on a cliff, this one wraps that portion of the story up. Although there is another cliff in sight for other characters we meet along the way.
If I didn't feel sad for Eeryn previously, I certainly do now. He goes through some crap in this story before finally reuniting with Levi. The emotions in this story definitely hit a little harder, and there isn't much spice to even out those feelings. Definitely worth the read, and certainly looking forward to reading more in the series. Hoping that a few other characters (3,9) will get some storyline sent their way as well.
Great world building and terrific story that made me not want to put it down. More about Leviathan and Eryn but with more of the world around them affecting them. Some bad stuff happens, especially to Eryn so pay attention to the warnings. KD Ellis packs a lot into this book and also hints that more is to come. Yes please. I liked the way she focuses on more characters this time and has more of them narrating chapters as it works well to open up the story lines. Also she does a deft job of adding in just enough of the world history and background of the characters etc to add to the story without bogging it down.
I knew that Eryn's old Beta was a lying viper. This second book is absolutely nail biting, edge of the seat stuff. Levi is pushed to the breaking. He's taken into custody and to escape he has to give in to his dark side. Eryn escapes one bad situation and ends up in another. They're apart for more than half the book. There's some pining and angst. The city is a blood bath. Wow. Read it in one go. So, so good. The world building, or world destroying is excellent. The author leaves a little cliffhanger for two secondary characters. Can't wait for their book. I received an advance copy of this book and this is my review.
Ok, once this book starts you are literally thrown into the deep end. 5000%, you need to have read book one to understand the characters and most of the motivation here... When I say most, the character of Rory, threw me.... though its leading to book 3....
Im so glad that Levi and Eryn finally make their way back to each other. Despite what they each have to go through to get there. Though I am more than sympathic to the whisper, I loved how it fought to try to help Levi, even when forced by its "master". I felt bad for Aries, he fought for Levis freedom, even though he knew he would be ignored, he really lost out regardless.
3.5⭐️ for me on this 2nd book in the series. And yes you must read this series in order or will have no clue what is happening. In this one our couple spends most of the time apart trying to reunite. There’s a pretty solid storyline underneath it all and as with the first book there’s lots of action and blood to be found. I would really like to see Eryn stop being such a victim in these stories. He has moments in this one that give me hope he’s coming into his own but we’ll see what happens next and yes this one ends on a cliffhanger as well. I’m hoping three will be the wrapping up with a HEA for these two characters and we move on to the next!
Where I found the first book to be lacking a bit in story and reasons, I felt this one made up for it. There is personal growth with Eryn when he have to manage on his own, he might not be the strongest around but he still manages to survive. Some by luck.
Aries and Rory was a pairing I found interesting. Aries is already a character I liked and he continued in this book.
I found myself a bit disappointed in Leviathan, he went over the top and couldn't even do what he wanted to accomplish.
We have our new wolves that I'm sure we will see more to, kind of excited for that as well.
It's a good update book and we have some plot moving forward.
Finally, we are back with Levi and Eryn! But these two have much to get through. Poor Eryn is just so innocent and sweet yet so strong for all he endures. He can never seem to catch a quiet break. Eryn even helps other omegas who I am hoping will get to find some love and care in future books. Levi is so hot and powerful, but he is all heart and feels for his boy Eryn and there is nothing he will not do for him. I am beyond excited for more Aries in the next book. There is definitely going to be so much to him than meets the eyes in his actions. Another big emotional cliffhanger here folks!
