This is an absolute must read! Perfume and the AlphaBeta's Part A & Part B popped my proverbial cherry 😆 I'm already obsessed with Omegaverse, love love love anything RH or Poly, and now I have to add Rockstar romance to the list!
Perfume isn't your ordinary Beta..she's the daughter of a Paragon and the Alpha of the AlphaBeta's. Raised to be a Paragon omega just like her Mother, she knows everything there is about being an omega, laying on the charismatic charm, and giving the audience exactly what the need, Her. After a traumatic event that left the band shattered, a blast from the past comes knocking on fates door in a pink mini skirt. Perfume, Kawaii, Habit, and Saffo struggle with the loss of Zenith but as they say...the show must go on.
Fume starts to fall again for her childhood love, and in comes the new adorable Fan they "keep forever", Rylee and the whole band is absolutely in love with him! How could you not fall for him?! Sex, party favors, and music is the life but unfortunately that comes with some drama and Alphahole managers. Oh, and don't forget the spice!! Can't have a punk band without the spice, and man is it spicy! I devoured this duet and loved every minute of it!

3.5 stars. Perfume, Saffo, Habit, and Kawaii are the female beta leads and the members of the band Perfume and the Alphabetas. They’re searching for a new lead guitarist after a terrorist attack resulted in the death of their original, who was Perfume’s best friend and Habit’s partner. Stone, one male alpha lead, is their, specifically Perfume’s, bodyguard and he believes he’s in love with her.
Apex, the second male alpha lead, has been on suppressants since he presented and is attempting to make it as a musician on his own merits. He’s also Perfume’s childhood friend and first love who apparently abandoned her. When he sees open auditions for the lead guitarist role, he applies, remembering what it was like to be in a band with Perfume and her best friend. He still loves Perfume but she and her band aren’t going to make it easy for him, no matter what attraction there may be…
This story is sextuple POV, well written and edited, and an immensely complex omegaverse poly romance, which is the first part of a duet and therefore ends on a cliffhanger. You absolutely need to read this before reading the second part and will definitely need to read the second part for a satisfactory resolution to the story. I generally don’t read stories with more than four partners but the premise of this story combined with the quality of the authors plus the guarantee of a short time between pieces made me curious enough to read this story. I honestly found this story very busy, with so many characters’ emotions and POV being heard. It is interesting and, if angsty rockstar and poly romance is your thing, this story is fantastic. Because these are not my preferred tropes, I can acknowledge the quality of the writing whilst admitting that this isn’t my favourite story. I’m still absolutely reading the second part because I want to see the happy ending!

After losing one of their own to a terrorist group, Perfume and the rest of the band are still reeling. But the industry won't wait forever, and if they want to keep their dreams alive and Zenith's legacy intact, they have to hire a new guitarist and get back on the road. Apex is a guitar god and was once one of the most important people in the world to Zenith and Perfume but then he left them. Now he's back. Can he possibly fill in the void Zenith left behind? He will either be their salvation or destruction.
Mercy. This book is a combination of raw emotion, sexual energy, drugs, and chaos. It carries you along in a wave of madness. The band is in a period of loss and turmoil, and the addition of a male and past heartbreak only adds to the overload of tension. It's a lot, and I had some difficulty wrapping my head around everything. I believe we are watching a messy pack formation instead of the love story I was expecting. Don't get me wrong, there is lots of love- affection, and sex, but it's not a focused love story. I'm still not sure how I feel about everything and probably won't until the final word of the duet, but I adore the crazy characters and their ever-changing moods.

After tragedy can the past returning be fate or punishment?
Perfume and the AlphaBetas is full of everything you expect from a rockstar romance. Plenty of s3x drugz and music. This starts with the band trying to replace their lead guitarist after she was tragically killed. The emotional grief and pain you get through out this is displayed perfectly.
When the girls are forced to put out an open call to get a new guitarist no one expected the perfect option to stroll in. Especially when they were male and had history with the lead singer and the member he would be replacing.
Working through so many relationships and trauma was like experiencing it yourself which to me shows how well written it is. You can easily see yourself sitting in and experiencing all the ups and downs.
This part of the duet leaves on a big cliffhanger but thankfully Part B is available so you won't be left wondering for too long.

So if you’ve been apart of the Port Haven Omegaverse world then you’ll be familiar with Perfume and the AlphaBetas. Their story picks up after the tragic death of Zenith due to the terrorist attack by Ruin Winters. The band is left reeling by her loss and are spiraling until Apex, someone from Perfume’s past, suddenly comes back into her world. There’s s lots of spicy shenanigans and the band does not discriminate between who they party with. There is mention of SA and grooming of a minor off the page and this book does end in a cliffhanger so check your trigger warnings going in. This one has you guessing who belongs with who or what exactly the pack dynamic is here. It’s completely unhinged in the best sort of way! Strap on your seatbelt because you’re in for one wild ride!

I loved Side A & Side B so much! The plot was so unexpected and not your regular A/B/O story which drew me in from the start! My heart went out to them for the loss they experienced and how each character dealt with the grief.
They were all so relatable and I almost felt like I was apart of the band (pack) as I was reading along.
Quirky Kawaii, shy Habit, Sassy Saffo & bad a** Perfume will always have a part of me. Throw in brooding Apex, grumpy Stone & the sweetest male omega Rylee and you have the perfect group(band) of characters.
I don’t want to give spoilers but the plot/character building is so epic! One of my favorite reads of the year and I won’t be forgetting this duet or characters any time soon🩷 S*x, dr*gs & alphaholes, don’t forget to check TW and fall in love like I did!

A completely different take on the Rockstar Omegaverse.
We have the AlphaBetas, who lost a loved member of their all girl beta band to a terrorist attack.
Then we have the guys, a bodyguard alpha who tries his best to wrangle the unhinged girls.
And the past love of Perfume, who is pretty mysterious at the beginning.
I love that they are so wild and do so many things that we would definitely judge, but i kind of like the unhinged, uncaring of social standards position of the girls.
I am soooo stoked for the Part 2 of the duet. It has a major cliffhanger, so be warned.
Beware the triggers, especially dr*g use and sexu*lity.
So different, but definitely very good 😊

This was a hell of a lot better then I expected it to be, an all girl beta punk band, definitely not wannabe punk but pretty raucous, there is sex and drugs, wild behaviour and the expected shenanigans that a punk band would get up to. There are also troubled multi-dimensional characters dealing with loss but also bucking the expected dynamics of their ABOnworld. Don’t read if you want a story that only revolves around the principle romance. This is a book that has a number of complex relationships of differing degrees between the various band members and others. Definitely a refreshing change from the bulk of OV books that I end up DNFs due to being terribly formulaic. I think I actually only finish one in four that I start….

This was a gripping start to an awesome rockstar story. There's lots of sex, drugs, & rock and roll. Love is love in this book and it's great to see the pack forming. Apex is paying his dues and back in perfume's life after years of wanting her. Apex has been down on his luck, but things are starting to turn around. I love the vibe between everyone and the multi POV makes it so you can get into everyone's head. Big cliffhanger at the end, but that's okay, because side b is available immediately. Definitely recommend!

In a world where ruled by designations,one strong beta takes the reins of her destiny and makes her own choices in life.
Good world building and settings, an excelent plot but it's the characters that kept me engrossed in the story.
A very special mention to Kawaii,she's absolutely delicious.
Ends in a cliffhanger that left me in a chokehod and with high expectations in Side B!

Where to start?! This booked had me laughing from page one and introduced me to a lot of firsts! My first omegaverse, first poly vibes, first rockstar romance, and just overall craziness! I thoroughly enjoyed the character execution, as you felt like you know these Betas personally. Apex…I adore! Such a fun, intense read! The cliffhanger was perfect because Part B is awaiting your arrival!!

This book is so fun. I enjoyed the characters, their relationships with each other, and how everything goes from fun to sexy to trauma time back to fun continuously 😂.
They’re rockstars of course but…you just have to read it to get it lol. This does end on a cliffhanger but book 2 was released the same day so get to it.

This is so good. It's a duet but the second book is out too so yes cliffhanger but only until you decide to read book 2 right away so no waiting there. The best option I think, you choose how long you want to wait. Now I didn't go back to back myself as time didn't allow it but knowing the second book is there is a comfort right? Loved Perfume as fmc and the story is really good with the rockstars and I knew when reading the blurb I was gonna have fun reading that.

Side A- I love a good Omegaverse and this is great giving the Betas a time to shine and what they go through not being an omega or alpha. It has the normal rock god - sex, drugs, and alcohol lifestyle. It covers the loss of a loved one, a second chance at love and life, hidden secrets and a cliffhanger you never wanted to see happen. But isn’t that what the best cliffhangers are?!

Perfume and her band are looking for a new guitarist. Apex wants to join the band. Apex and Perfume have known each other since childhood. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll is what this is about. Great read. Ends with a cliff hanger.

I found this in an another authors reader group. Nova compared it to one of my top three omegaverse of all time. Without that expectation there's a chance I would have liked this more. It didn't pack the deep emotional connection I was expecting based on the comparison.

I got an ARC copy of Side A and B and finished both in a day. If casual drug use bothers you these are not the books for you. The characters were sassy af, quirky, and feisty. For me it was a good read, I didn't want to put it down.

This book was wild & fast paced with their rockstar partying lifestyle. Perfume & her band are trying to continue Zenith’s legacy while still mourning her. I thought Kawaii was pretty funny with her antics. Was definitely rooting for them to give Apex a chance.

I loved this book struggled to put it down I love the dynamic between the characters and how it all comes together and then the cliff hanger!! Wow can't wait to read b side. This is definitely a brilliant read you have to read it now!!!

Such a great read! Cannot wait to read Side B! I love Perfume and Apex's dynamics, and I really love the whole group! I want to see more of Stone and Kawaii, and Saffo and Habit. That cliffhanger had me totally shocked and I am about to devour the next book, ASAP. Such a hot and steamy read, love it!

Side A was a fantastic story full of sex, drugs and music with a band grieving the loss of a member through a terrorist attack. Slow burn but with amazing characters that are so likeable and crazy. A great take on omegaverse. Looking forward to reading Side B.

I am glad I persevered at the start of this book. It had too many characters all introduced at once with insufficient background to place them all. However I loved this book in the end although not that cliffhanger!

Perfume, Saffo, Habit, and Kawaii make up the beta punk rock group Perfume and the Alphabetas. After the devastating loss of the guitarist Zenith in a terrorist attack they put out an ad to find a new guitarist to be able to perform at Packchella. They only person who matches their passion and talent is Apex, who was Perfumes first love. When he left she was heartbroken and doesn’t want him in the band. Apex desperately wants a second chance with Perfume but he is hiding a secret, he is an Alpha on suppressants. Will Perfume let him in and more importantly will the fans accept a man in the all girl group.
If anything this book is the embodiment of sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll. It is a wave of chaos and you are just pulled along with it. With six POVs it has a lot of emotional rawness and we see how everyone copes with the loss of Zenith and the addition of Apex. You could feel all the emotion through the page. And thank goodness both books were released together because that cliffhanger would have killed me if I had had to wait months.

This was my first rockstar omegaverse and I loved every second. It was very busy with all of the characters we meet and povs we read but I enjoyed it!

So, with this installment of the Port Haven universe, we pick up where the terrorist killed Zenith in an attack. Which is a tie in to Ruined Alphas. We also meet Apex which ties into Shaken Knot Stirred. I love how I was able to picture these other books while reading this one. There is a lot going on in this huge pack which is why they need two book. I flew though this first book and was done before I knew it but luckily the second was right there so the cliffy was not that terrible.
