Bradley Connors and James Garrett are back in London, this time on a fundraising trip for James’ charity. After getting caught in a rainstorm outside their Soho hotel, they’re once more transported back in time and find themselves in the middle of the London music scene of the 60s. When James gets mistaken for a well-known band frontman, a star-struck Bradley convinces his husband to stick around in the sixties long enough to help out the group by singing at a few upcoming concerts. In the process, they get to live out Bradley’s rock and roll fantasies, although James isn’t quite as sure about the situation as his husband is. However, even though the pair thinks they have this time-traveling stuff down, their adventure runs into a complication when James is recognized by someone he probably shouldn’t be interacting with from a past that he’s already abandoned. In the end, in order to get everyone back to their correct times before this time portal closes too, they will have to enlist the help of their friends on both sides of the time divide.

I’m so excited to see the 5th book in this entertaining time-travel series. I loved reading about all Bradley & James’ past adventures but I think this installment set in the 1960s Soho music scene is my favorite. The author clearly had a lot of fun researching all these rock legends in order to include them in the story. I love all the music trivia in this one as well as the ‘cameo’ appearances by rock Lenten da of old. Just wondering where this adventuresome pair will end up next? Would definitely recommend!
I am really enjoying this imaginative and exciting series...I mean who doesn't want to be (or be with) a rock god. LOL. I was born at the end of the '60's so I didn't know much about that era, and that made this book even more of a fun and 'enlightening' experience for me. I love the protagonists, James and Bradley, and the authors' world-building and intricate weaving of their time-travel spell. I hope there are many more adventures to come for these two.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
So I haven't had the opportunity to read the books 2 through 4 but this is still an interesting story. I do recommend reading the previous books though.
This is the fifth installment in a series that weaves together romance, character development, and time travel (I know, it’s an epic combination, and I love it). In this book, we see Bradley and James enmeshed in the SoHo music scene of the 1960s— not a time period I knew much about, or had much interest in, if I’m honest, before this story, but definitely one that came to life compellingly on the page here. People are complicated, time travel is complicated, and plot complications ensue— all in all, a rewarding read with a great premise and compelling protagonists: I’d start with book one, if you haven’t already, and then read through to get here— it’s a heck of a ride and worth it all the way.
*I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
London and the music scene of the 60s. I was as excited to be there as Bradley was, lol and could totally understand his enthusiasm for having James go along with being mistaken for a famous musician and living the fantasy for a bit. Unfortunately for these two, however, nothing comes without a price and the complication of James being recognized as his real self opens up a can of worms that it takes some planning and plenty of help to get them out of. Loved this from first page to last.
