I was absolutely thrilled to be able to read this early through Netgalley. I've always loved this series and was so pleased to hear it was back. Nellie is just about coping with the death of her friend Gladys until she keeps smelling Gladys' rosewater perfume. This story has so many subplots running at the same time but it never gets confusing as it's written so well.
I have loved all of the books in this series and I just can’t wait to find out what Reenie will do next and if Nellie reconciles with her daughter, just love the characters in the book and the way Hinny writes leaving you wanting more more more haha ❤️
This book is the fourth in a great World War Two series. Nellie has been running her cafe in Dover through all the trouble of both the World Wars. There’s been a lot to deal with during this time especially with her Husband Donald who was traumatised after the First World War. There are so many secrets going around the family will they come out and will they tear apart the family Nellie tries so hard to keep together. This is a great read and I look forward to the next book in this great series
If I could I would give this entire series more than five stars the storyline is fantastic and it makes it all the more real when it involves some of the facts about the real war I was in tears over Jimmy and poor Nellie who can't do right for doing wrong I'm really going to miss these characters big time if you haven't read Ginny's Dover cafe series then I would urge you to
After a long anticipated wait, it was great to have Dover cafe back with a new instalment on my bookshelf. Took a bit to remember what had happened in the last one. My partner said to reread it, but I persisted and was not disappointed. Thank you for bringing the story back to life, and I can't wait til May Thank you for the escapism ☺️
