Set in a post-cataclysmic world, the story follows Aagneya Nym, a young explorer, as she ventures into the perilous Unlight alongside the enigmatic Elior Lystander, a Master Keeper. This novel seamlessly blends elements of fantasy and steampunk, creating a unique and immersive world.

The author’s storytelling is captivating, drawing readers into a richly developed universe filled with mystic metals, ancient secrets, and the looming threat of darkness. The character development is superb, with Aagneya's growth as a central figure truly shining. Secrets of Silver & Steam is a spellbinding tale of power, destiny, and the battle against darkness, making it a great read for fans of fantasy and adventure.

took me a bit to get through this book, don’t get me wrong i really like the story concept!!

BUT, i think there was so much happening and the plot seemed a bit rushed, there definitely could’ve been a bit more elaboration on certain events that take place, especially since this is supposed to be a documentation of events that took place during Aagneya’s travels

i also found it difficult to like Aagneya, she had good moments but i feel like she was overconfident once she gained her abilities and it made her reckless

Epic Fantasy in a post-cataclysmic world!! Sign me up! This book is so much fun, but be warned there is a LOT going on - maybe the book should have been longer? I honestly think this is just purely a fun and exciting read. Jump in and follow the FMC and her friends as they explore the world in this action packed page turner.

Hayes masterfully constructs a universe where Mystic Silver fuels awe-inspiring Steam Tech, mythical creatures lurk in the shadows, and the enigmatic Master Keepers (MKRs) influence the echoes of history. Elior Lystander, mysterious and powerful, is a standout character equal parts mentor, legend, and enigma.

Good fantasy read

I enjoyed this book. The fantasy genre isn't what I normally choose to read, but this was a really good read.
