It was a hard start and it didn't get any easier as I made my way through.
This book is in need of an edit more than most. You don't get out of the introduction without being hit with contradicting statements about the holiday and the culture. I found myself going to a practitioner more than once - amid a couple of Google Deep Dive - just to keep things straight.
There's potential for a great series but this launch pad needs some work.
A short book covering the history of the Pagan holiday Samhain. Interesting connections to Halloween , Day of the Dead, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve and Day. An interesting holiday especially since it’s practice is becoming apparent in modern culture. Easily read and informative.
