Joseph Trevor Wicks MBE (born 21 September 1985), also known as The Body Coach, is a British fitness coach, TV presenter and author.
From his website: I'm a man on a mission to rescue people from the awful dieting industry. I am sick and tired of people struggling on low calorie diets and meal replacement shakes.
I created this plan to educate people and give them the knowledge they need to get a lean, healthy strong body without going hungry.
The 90 Day SSS Plan has already worked for over 100,000 people all over the world and I truly believe this plan will transform your life and the way you see nutrition forever. source: https://www.thebodycoach.com/about.asp
I know everything he said and I even was pleased to find I do well over half of what he suggests. Overall, an enjoyable book and he seems like a nice lad.
Exactly what it claims to be - not an in-depth scientific journal, but quick and simple suggestions to get a bit healthier. Easy to understand without being condescending. Plenty of recipe suggestions, although many were unsuitable for a vegetarian/vegan diet.
The author even admits in the book he doesn’t do most of the things he is suggesting. I looked him up and he doesn’t appear to have any nutrition or psychology qualifications so I’m not sure why he’s trying to act like an expert.
I love Joe but this is all old stuff. Nothing new at all. It may be a good book for someone starting on a health kick. Maybe someone in their 20s. But it wasn’t for me.
