Tra i due è un vero colpo di fulmine: un amore senza ostacoli che scalda il cuore e addolcisce l’animo del lettore.
La lettura, breve ma intensa, mi ha tenuto compagnia in un pomeriggio di spensieratezza.
Ho adorato entrambi i protagonisti:
Melinda, con la sua forza, il suo spirito organizzativo e intraprendente, riesce a mettere a tacere le resistenze di Derek, facendolo ricredere in poco tempo e prendersene cura con dedizione.
Derek, affascinante e deciso, si rivela però anche un uomo dal cuore buono, disposto a dare tutto se stesso per un amore totalizzante.

Non posso non citare i personaggi secondari: la pelosetta Sissi e soprattutto la dolcissima nonnina, che mi ha profondamente emozionata.
La scrittura dell'autrice è scorrevole e coinvolgente, in grado di coinvolgere il lettore.
Una storia, seppur breve, che parla di perdita, rinascita e resilienza, ricordandoci che non bisogna mai giudicare un libro dalla copertina.

Softest Touch is a heartwarming contemporary romance story by Adina. This is my first read by Adina and it is a sweet tale that will have you believing in love.
It is a quick read that I would have loved to be a bit longer. This beautifully written tale is sexy and a little swoon worthy. I fell in love with the storyline and characters and with a dash of suspense mixed in it gave it an extra element.
There is some trouble in paradise and their relationship is not without its challenges. There is lots of emotions, some angst, attraction, hope, passion and more.
The story of Derek and Melinda is one you can't help but fall in love with.
Derek thought he had it all but then she walked into his life.
To find out what happens you will need to read it for yourself. No spoilers here or it would ruin it for you.
If you need a few hours to yourself and are looking for a light, quick read, with a bit of suspense then I recommend Softest Touch.

Sweet, forbidden contemporary romance that is totally swoon worthy. I enjoyed this story so much and the sizzle between Derek and Melinda...which did not get off on the right foot...I loved every page. Derek learns never to judge a book by its cover....as Melinda takes him by surprise with her wit and no backing down from his initial unkind words.
It is hard in the fashion business to be successful, but Derek has what it takes being owner of Wilson Creations that is built on success. Needing a new assistant, Melinda is hired to be the assistant that Derek needs, but initially he is cold and was outspoken that Melinda does not have what it takes to be his assistant. With each day working with each other, Derek and Melinda have more than just a working relationship, their connection runs deeper as they both push each other to be better in the fashion industry. Will Derek and Melinda find their HEA that they always longed for?

This was a fun read, good chemistry between Derek and Melinda. I liked the fashion design angle which only heightened the believability of the story. Looking for a entertaining quick read this is one to pick up.

Dal lavoro all'amore
Questa storia è così delicata da farti battere il cuore e travolgerti anche se breve.
Da un primo momento di arroganza di Derek si passa ben presto a scoprire il suo vero lato, quello un po' nascosto sotto la corazza di stacanovista e amante del suo lavoro. Piano piano si dimostra dapprima curioso e poi sempre più dolce e affettuoso, rinunciando alla barriera iniziale che pensava di avere.
Per quanto riguarda Melinda mi ha trasmesso dolcezza e determinazione: con suoi modi di prendersi cura di Derek, la sua bravura e competenza nel lavoro e il suo essere solare e amichevole mi ha colpita.
Tra loro due scatta qualcosa di speciale che si sente forte e chiaro attraverso le pagine; si sente la loro connessione, quasi dal primo momento, e quella scintilla iniziale cresce sempre di più diventando un forte sentimento che non si ferma alimentando, momento per momento, questo amore.
Oltre ai due protagonisti non troviamo molti altri, se non Sienna, James, Julie e Sissi. Tutti e quattro adorabili, simpatici e utili in alcuni momenti.
Mi sono affezionata così velocemente ai personaggi che nonostante sia per lo più una storia dolce, scorrevole ed emozionante, l'autrice è riuscita pure a farmi commuovere per un evento improvviso e spiacevole.
Quando si vuole una coccola, senza troppa tensione, accettando anche di poter versare qualche lacrimuccia credo che questa sia la storia giusta.

Ho recuperato questo libro in occasione dell’ultimo Stuff your kindle day e, scoprendo che contava appena cento pagine, ho pensato: perfetto, una lettura veloce e leggera... ed è stato esattamente così.

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Billionaire and owner of Wilson Creations, Derek has everything, fame, fortune and success but no one to share it with. When he meets Melinda he’s drawn to her sharp wit and fiery spirit, however she’s also his new assistant. They become a formidable team, business wise, following a rather rocky start and after awhile Derek sees Melinda in a different light. They face any challenges that arise, finding strength in each other, but their forbidden feelings may not be enough to overcome all obstacles, especially when their are forces that want to keep them apart. This is a fairly short read, but one which hooks you from the start. The descriptive narrative brings both the characters and setting vividly to life, which made me feel immersed in the story.

This is a quick romance story. You know the kind, meet, hate each other, and well read this story and see how it ends. That is about how it goes for Derek and Melinda. The banter is well written, which makes this story so good. I enjoyed this author's story, it was clear and easy to follow. The characters fit their parts well. I love everything about this story, except it ended too soon. Although with a few hours of nothing, reading this story will fill that time at the doctors or on the soccer field. This is a new to me author, but you can be sure I will be wanting more. I look forward to seeing who this author brings in her next book.

This was a delightful, short, and sweet read! I fell in love with the characters quickly, which was important for such a quick read and I was invested in their story.
Melinda begins working for Derek, who severely underestimates her but quickly finds her irresistible. Their chemistry comes off the page quickly and keeps the reader engaged. The author has an inviting writing style that draws the reader in, and again, the likable characters made this one for me! Pick it up, you can read it in one sitting and won’t regret it!

Melinda is a sharp, quick witted woman who meets a savvy buisness man who has everything he wants. Despite their mutual attraction there’s a hitch…he’s her new boss. The two team up and become an amazing duo but the attraction won’t be ignored. While this is a smaller book the author has amazing narrative that keeps the reader very engaged. This was a great book!

This story is short, sweet, and straight to the point. This is my first read by Adina D. Grey and it was a good read. I did however leave the story wanting more. more story, more time, more relationship building. At just under 100 pages you will have no problems reading this in one sitting. enjoyable, just wishing there was MORE.

I enjoyed this book it was a very easy quick read, and I was drawn in immediately. A sweet, simple, so what steamy, and romantic story though not without its problems thrown into the mix. I love a good quick read but definitely wouldn’t have minded it to be a bit longer. This is the first book I’ve read from this author but I would gladly read more by her.

A beautiful storyline, this book had all the feels. Derek finds a compatible spirit in Melinda. Together they need to face several obstacles. The writing draws you in and the characters keep you glued until the end. A wonderful read fir a lazy afternoon. Recommend.

You see, Derek is the owner of, Wilson Creations. And imagine, James’ surprise when at seven p.m., Derek comes strolling in. He wants to know if, Sienna has been able to find an assistant, yet. James said he thought so, with a chuckle.
Derek looks at him with a bit of worry, for himself. James says, that with her hormones from her pregnancy so out of control right now, it's better not to disagree with her lately. Sienna enters with a stunning girl on her heels. “Welcome back. Knew you'd be back sooner, even planned for it, told you,” she turns to both, James and, Melinda. “You know me well.” Derek laughs.
“I've found you a new assistant.” She gets closer and then turns toward the girl. “Meet Melinda Jackson. Softest Touch is a contemporary romance that centers around the characters of Derek and Melinda. Derek is the owner of Wilson Creations which has made him a billionaire. When Miranda is hired on to be Derek’s new Assistant the two do not necessarily see eye to eye and things get off to a shaky start. At first glance Derek feels that she appears to be too young and fragile to be up to the task of being his assistant. Derek does not want to hire her and tells her so, but Melinda does not back down. She gives him an earful about judging her without even knowing her and refuses to go away quietly. Determined to get in her say Melinda is persistent until Derek sees something in her that tells him to give her a chance. He loves her fiery attitude and the power she exudes when she is taking charge, which excites him. As the two work closely together, Derek finds himself attracted to Melinda and her sass, determination, and fiery attitude.
Melinda instantly despises Derek and feels that he is a douchebag for treating her the way that he did. She did not want the job in the first place and only applied for the position because it meant working in the world of fashion. Melinda dreamed of being a stylist but due to all her commitments and responsibilities her dream was put on the back burner. Working at Wilson Creations meant that she could at least be involved in the fashion industry. Plus, her Grandma had a crush on Derek and thought that he was sexy. Melinda does not deny that he is sexy and charming, but she also thinks that he is arrogant, cocky, and downright annoying. Softest touch was an enjoyable slow burn romance. It has the element of a forbidden relationship (employer and employee), there is an element of enemies to lovers as well as chemistry and finding love when you least expect it. The author does an amazing job with the main characters making them both deep and connectable.
This is a story about 2 people from different worlds coming together and even though everything say it should work they are actually perfect for each other.
Derek hires Melinda to be his personal assistant. Both of them are stubborn individuals, Derek is a workaholic and Melinda is determined to prove she can succeed in a male dominated environment. At first they don't get on, their stubbornness means they butt heads with each other however the closer they work together the chemistry starts to build and they can't deny their feelings for each other.
Things aren't straight forward though and there are problems and roadblocks in their way. When Melinda has to deal with family issues, I was really surprised at how supportive Derek became.
Overall this romance was really enjoyable to read. The characters were well written and easy to relate to. They were easy to like and they make you feel invested in their story and their romance.

Softest Touch was short, sweet, and to the point. I loved the story line and the characters. Sometimes I enjoy reading a short quick romance, however I felt this one could have been so much more. Everything happened so quickly between Derek and Melinda. I felt the relationship was forced. The spicy language within was distracting at times for my personal liking (hence the 4 star review). This was my first time reading a novel written by Grey and despite the few dislikes, I would not hesitate to pick up another novel written by her. The story line behind Melinda and Derek’s relationship really kept me invested in this one. I would not hesitate to recommend this novel to anyone who thoroughly enjoys a quick contemporary romance with lots of spice and suspense. I look forward to seeing what else Grey brings to us book lovers.

Softest Touch was a cute short story. An office romance that started off sour, but blossomed into something sweet. The author put together a story that I finished in one sitting. Not just because it was short, but I kept reading because I wanted to know what happened next.
Derek is a workaholic fashion creator and business owner. Melinda his newly hired assistant. Well only on a temporary basis. He doesn’t feel she can keep up with him. However not only did she do that, she also showed she cared for his well being.
Changing the complex dynamic between them. The chemistry can’t be denied, however fear holds them both back.
The author writes them in a way that works wonderfully. Both caterpillars emerge from their cocoons as beautiful butterflies, which is the only way to depict the growth.
If you enjoy once romances and don’t have lots of time, this short story is perfect for you!

Melinda and Derek’s story just melt’s you. He’s a grumpy workaholic. She’s a member of the elite that is just wanting to do the right thing and is trying to care for her grandmother. She’s Derek’s new assistant and he treats her like dirt when he comes back and learns Sienna hired her for him. Oh, these two have issues to work through but they do. As they come into their own and they both grow and get through those growing pains, you smile like proud parents or friends. This book is so well-written. It’s a short read. I stayed up last night and finished it in one sitting. I wanted to read more. I kind of was left feeling like I wanted more of their life. I will settle for what I got. It’s a sweet romance. The characters are well-written. They feel like they could be friends, especially Melinda and her grandmother. It’s a definite read that I recommend for romance lovers out there.

As they work together and overcome challenges, they begin to see each other differently and in this show some character development. The way this was written made the transition natural and believable. I also enjoyed the descriptive language used by the author, painting a vivid picture of the scenes and characters. The chemistry between the characters was built well with the slow burn romance which work well for both characters.

This was a very enjoyable, well written book. I enjoyed the character of Derek and thought that he was very well written. He seemed to have it all but yet when I was reading it I did not find him to be arrogant or someone that I had a hard time reading about. Melinda was a fantastic person to play off of Derek’s character. She was definitely spunky. I loved watching both their work and professional relationship develop. It seemed to do so very naturally and it did not seem forced or contrived. I loved how the two of them bonded together to rise above their challenges and how there were many rocky points. This was a great 5 star read. If you like billionaire romance/forbidden romance you will enjoy this one. Melinda and Dereks story pulled me right in. Melinda is hired as Derek’s assistant, at first he isn’t quite sure she will work and she is not thrilled to be working for him. As they work together and get to know each other sparks start to fly. Of course life throws them a few curveballs to add a great element to the story. All of the characters also added a great element to the story. Will these two get a HEA? The author does a great job with her writing and I can’t wait to read more from her. 1-click and get started today.

I enjoyed reading this sweet romance story. This is a shorter story but it packs a punch in a short amount of time. This is a well written story about Derek and Melinda. When Melinda becomes Derek’s assistant they never expected to find a strong attachment to each other. Their story is one of challenges and strength that it brings to their lives. This is a story you don’t want to miss. A fast paced story that I read in one sitting. An engaging story that kept me coming back to the end. I enjoyed watching the growth of the characters and how easy they made it easy to read. This is a great story that I highly recommend.

I really liked all of the characters especially Sissi and Grandma. I have a soft spot for animals and special people and they won me over pretty quick.
This was a sweet and fairly fast paced love story. But it just shows it could happen at any time to anyone, especially when they least expect it.

This was an enjoyable and sweet romance story that is perfect for that rainy afternoon. The characters have a great chemistry, despite a rocky start. They were perfect for each other and it was lovely to watch their relationship develop.
This is still a pretty new author to me and I am enjoying becoming more familiar with her work. Each book is fun to read, well written and engaging. As a reader I found myself becoming invested in what was going on. This is a great book that is well worth the read.
