Touch

Rate this book
Sometimes love takes a village, and sometimes it just takes a touch.

Haphephobia — the intense, irrational fear of touching or being touched. Cain Goldberg has let that fear control him without question, but Luca Díaz is the submissive that makes him reconsider who is really in control.

After the traumatizing events at Thorne’s estate, Luca Díaz is ready to let go of the pain of his past to experience the euphoric surrender to his Master, but welcoming that vulnerability through pain is never easy.

Touch is an emotional and erotic love story of two men on paralleling journeys toward recovery. However, the harder Cain and Luca fall for each other, the wider it seems the chasm of trauma between them spreads. That distance is only healed as they welcome in their chosen family, all of whom come together to bridge the needs and build something uniquely beautiful.

Lots of fluffy, purple prose.
So much repetition on how Cain is unable to touch Luca to the point it just felt like whining rather than relevant.
Marco’s character continues to annoy me. I never really felt the chemistry between him and Julian, partly because of how they both identified as dominant tops and suddenly he’s a switch and Julian fades into the background.
I will continue with this series at least for now but with lower expectations.

I did like the book. Seeing the relationship between Luca and Cain evolve.
For Marco, he took a complete 180 compared to the last book.
It was interesting seeing the take on a polycule but by the end all the other were kind of gone from the book.
Too bad the other books aren't on KU. So I'm not sure if I'll continue the story
