Plagued by despair, Davy Jones is a pirate who has been driven to the brink by the weight of his past. With nothing left to lose, he resolves to end his torment.
But fate has other plans, the lines between Man and Monster are more blurred than one might think, and the sea will always come to claim her dues.
Dead Reckoning is an erotic retelling of the legend of Davy Jones and is not recommended for readers under the age of 18.

This was a really thoughtful and engaging look at Davy Jones and the history (and legend). It's an interesting, short, and curious retelling of such an old story that dares to consider something queer and beautiful in the tragedy and depression of Jones' life.
I really enjoyed this, even if it was a sorrowful and heartful piece on someone finding joy in the dark but not rejecting the dark because of it.
Read if you like: dark romance, monster romance, queer romance, folklore/legend retelling, pirates, nuanced thoughts on depression, someone going gently into the night.
This was a different but interesting read. I do wish there was more if the book. What I read about Davy Jones was intriguing. He is out to sea on his way to Nassau. A pirate living the pirate life. Then one evening late he heard singing from a siren or something? When he comes fave to face with the mystery...he's left with continuing on PR letting the sea claim him.
A super quick read, that packed an emotional punch in the short amount of time it took to read! This was a great MM monster erotic romance, just wish it had been a tad bit longer! Looking forward to reading more from this author!
Well, that certainly was a thing I read. It had enough going on that I think if it's ever expanded into a longer story, I'd be interested in seeing more backstory and build-up.
