Read this in elementary school, but boy was this a hard reread... I loved the stories as a kid and was genuinely scared by them but now I'm shocked that I could even read it all. The pacing sucks and the wording is just indescribably bad. It was like reading something that was trying to be newspaper articles but also narrative fiction at the same time.

in the same vein as scary stories to tell in the dark minus the awesome pictures. these are fun and silly, but might be creepy to a kids if read in the dark alone. I like the teacher angle because it gives small opportunities for the author to integrate some history. my niece will love this.

Fun little morality tales n shit, quick easy read as expected, nothing super scary which also makes sense, occasionally sad like for the first one but also goofy asf cause knowing there’s a war you couldn’t have just worn a regular ass shirt of your husbands? 😭😭 Zelda deserved that shit for stealin a bone like would u want your bones stolen u cunt??? The friend protecting his friend was cool, but also why was so much out to kill that guy, time of death was interesting cause like how did she even get her own damn yearbook if she died before she received itttt - cool story though, I’m glad del got his lick back fr lmao fuck that bastard for lying on him, last story was a good morality tale of what goes around comes around and shit and the consequences of acting like a dickhead and expecting help when you need it

Very interesting stories about teachers interacting with or being ghosts.
I think my favorite story is about a student who is pulled into the world of a teacher who passed away 30 years before. The student was walking down the hall and heard someone crying. As she opened the door she was pulled into a classroom that looked different than it had previously and a teacher was crying. When she looked out the windows the scene was nothing she had seen before. As it turns out, she discovered after much research, the teacher had passed away in that classroom, her favorite place, 35 years before.
My students are already begging to read it!

OK for kids who are really in to ghost stories, but feels really dated. Most stories are really not all that scary, but the last one may be quite disturbing in today's society, and may be a trigger for some children. It involves a hostage/bomb situation in an elementary school. No children are harmed ultimately, but as this book was written in 1996 (pre- Columbine / era of school shootings) it may now seem way more real and scary than it seemed when it was written.

Grabbed to give to a friend who is a teacher and a ghost hunter because, well.

Enjoyable but I would've loved to have seen more background or notations to verify the stories are true. :D

As an adult I liked the first story but, found most of the others rather dumb. This is meant for late elementary and would probably be good read at a scout campfire.

It says they are from real life case files and maybe that is true, but there is so much fakeness built in for extra drama, and it is not good.

Haunted Teachers is a true book about ghost teachers or teachers that are being haunted by ghost. My favorite one was The Phantom Rider, which is about a ghost that haunts a school when a teacher is inside late at night. THis story made the hairs in my back stand up. This is an example of just one of the short ghost stories in this book. If you want to find out what happened to the teacher and the ghost teacher a.k.a. the phantom rider then read the book Haunted Teachers. I really recommend the book because it's scary and really exciting. I couldn't put the book down all I wanted was to read and read and read.Read the book if you want to find out what is the scary and interesting parts of the stories. To find out what happens to all of these teachers in the story READ, READ, READ.

i forgot this book existed until i just finished rereading a kid ghost story (the doll in the garden) and once i finished it my mind just started singing a song from elm city girls choir and just took me back in time to when i read this while driving to ecgc. i remember the story about the bomb hostage situation and i think the girl was named caroline which stuck out to me because one of the girls in choir was also named caroline so i just pictured her. also i think one was something egyptian not sure tho. i should reread it just to remember

I couldn't get into this book. I usaully enjoy reading paranormal ghost stories, but I just couldn't get into this one. I was on the first story, The Phantiom Rider and just couldn't finish. I found the events and recurrences of the Phantom rider irritatingly obvious. The way Allan Zullo told the story is perfect for the younger generation interested in Ghost stories, this would be perfect for younger children just being introduced to ghosts.

I bought this book from the Scholastic Book Club in elementary school. I was terrified by the stories so I read it very slowly, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. There is the age old story of the ghost hitchhiker, but also some more original ones like the one about the enchanted room that was perpetually in the past, or the teacher who burned in a school. Looking back, I was silly to get so worked up, but because I did, this book stayed in my memory.

Good storeis.

I liked these books. I like Allan Zullo and I really like the stories in these books. I think all younger kids (Upper elementary, early middle school) These books are quick reads and quite intresting. (Even if the stories are exagerrated.) So if you like short ghost stoires read these books.

I bought this book for a very cheap price. The stories are okay. My favorite is the last story which is Heroine from the Beyond. This is a good book to read for teens!
