Fate. Destiny. A force so powerful it could bring worlds to their knees…

Avalon, the home of the supernatural race, is claiming me as its Queen. Their current ruler needs me to return, but the organisation out to kill me still wants me dead, and they're hunting me with the help of someone on the inside.

In order to survive, I have to find my mates, complete the bonds, and grow my power.

Adrian, my charming mage, is mine to take. But there are others calling to my power. The grumpy shifter. The immortal vampire. And the psychic mage. I need them, even if I don’t understand it. But someone from my past is coming back to haunt me, their voice a darkness in my head, and another fights me at every point.

In order to fight the enemy, I need to be anchored by three. But destiny has other plans.

**Also guys this book is the second book of 5 books total lol. There’s some misinformation floating around socials🥲

So I gotta admit that I am THE sister who dragged the author into why choose (yes this book is dedicated to me🤪). You are welcome for that btw. I may be a lil biased in my review lol.

FIVE STARS

2.5-3 spice in terms of amount, 5 spice in terms of quality.

What does this book have?
❤️‍🔥Plus size fmc
❤️‍🔥ff and mf (no mm)
❤️‍🔥spice
❤️‍🔥fated mates
❤️‍🔥pining, yearning, begging
❤️‍🔥forced proximity
❤️‍🔥new mates added throughout series
❤️‍🔥telepathic communication
❤️‍🔥mix of slow, medium, and fast burn
❤️‍🔥paranormal romance

This book at one point deals with death and grief so be aware and check content/trigger warnings cause I did sob the first time I read that particular scene.

Basically I think this is an awesome example of plus size gal rep, especially in the paranormal and why choose areas of romance.

The series has a little bit of everything when it comes to romance- slow burn for the angst, medium for those of us who thinks it’s *chefs kiss*, and fast burn for the insta love readers out there (I personally like all three).

The author is releasing these pretty fast, third book is out at the end of the year (a lil longer cause the book is… a lil longer 😮‍💨).

You should totally read it btw. Out on KU and Amazon for physicals.

I didn’t like this. I wanted to, but it needed some serious editing. Like, the whole book should have been cut down to be the first 25% of the larger story. This is supposed to be a trilogy and yet she hasn’t even arrived at the supernatural city yet and when she gets there she has to attend an academy and then be crowned as Queen. So much still has to happen and yet nothing happened in this book. I was bored and I was annoyed at everyone not talking to each other. It wasn’t even really a miscommunication trope, it was just describing everyone feeling a mate bond but being too dumb to know it or refusing to acknowledge it and share that information. I almost DNF’ed multiple times.

In the second book in her Daughters of Nyx series, Audrey Moore treats us to the perfect sophomore book. It has everything all fantasy romance readers love, fated mates, adult playtime, (lots of adult playtime!), world building, magic, and various supernatural beings. (Hello shifters!) The slow and fast burn romances were perfectly paced, leaving me (and many other readers!) wanting more!
Tropes:
Fantasy Romance/Romantasy
Shifter Romance
Vampires
Magic
Second in a Series
Plus Size Heroine
Why Choose
Cliffhanger Ending
Found Family
No character updates for the sophomore book – for character overview, please see my review of The Daughters of Nyx

Some Highlights:
- This book was interesting – a LOT happens, but also…not a lot happens. The entire book happens over a span of a few days, so the story doesn’t move forward a whole lot, but the BONDS. The mating! It completely changes the entire world the series is created in. The reason it only got a 4/5 for me was because it only takes place over a few days. I would have LOVED to get to Avalon in this one, but it wasn’t in the cards.
- Hello Cliffhanger ending! Another Fourth Wing level ending! Audrey Moore – why must you do this to us??
- I am SO CONFUSED about who the third mate is! The hidden mate! And I’m also very confused because I’m DYING for it to be Maeve, and I’m scared it won’t be!
- The burning between Maeve and Ivy…oh man. I’m not typically one for reading F/F relationships (don’t get me wrong, I’m 100% an ally of the LGBT community, it’s just not what I normally choose!), but I NEED this mating to happen! Can you imagine those two bada// women as mates? Those two would RUN Avalon!
- The adult playtime was MUCH better in this book. Such a great payoff from the slow burn of the first book!
- I think the Kerry thing was drawn out a little too long. I would have preferred for her to have been left in book one, but only because I think it slowed the story down a smidge. I totally understand why the author did it, but I would have left her in book 1.
Thank you Audrey Moore for allowing me to be an ARC reader for this book! I loved it, and look forward to the next one!

This book was so worth the wait. I've had the release date marked on my calendar for a while now and couldn't wait to dive into Ivy's story again. I think this book was a lot slower than the first, but in a good way. We really got to focus on Ivy and her bonds as they developed and each relationship went at a different pace, slow burn for some, faster burn for others and some popped completely out of the blue. It was exciting to see who would bond next and there was so much anticipation for the others. I think the one I am most excited for would be Mauve. She has her walls built up so high and rarely shows her emotions so I'm dying for the time when they crumble. I think there are going to be some major fireworks when it happens.

I don't know about anyone else, but I really liked how Ivy was so concerned about her sisters and kept them her priority throughout this book. It was nice to see those relationships flourish when beforehand they weren't the greatest, especially with Eloise. I think there was a lot of character growth for her in this book as she stepped up and helped Ivy with the younger ones after what happened to Kerry. It was such a hard time for all of them and that situation brought them closer together. After all, they were all they each had left.

I can't wait for the next book to come out. I think we were left at a really good point for the next one to start at and I know the change in scenery will be a welcomed one. The cliffhanger in that other POV was so suspenseful and I'm eager to see how everything plays out with Ivy's bonds. So much can happen and everything is so unpredictable as of right now, but I think it will be a fun journey discovering her powers, who her bonds are, and everything Faery has to offer.

The Bonds of Nyx is exactly what a sequel should be: a seamless continuation that keeps you hooked from the very first page. Picking up directly after the events of the second book, we dive back into the thrilling world of Ivy and her (would-be) mates. Ivy finds herself targeted as the next queen, forcing her and her family to flee. Despite the high stakes and constant action, the pacing is impeccable, never feeling rushed or overwhelming.

One of the highlights of this book is the introduction of a new potential mate, adding a fresh dynamic to the already intricate relationships. There's also significant development with the existing mate bonds, deepening the emotional connections and enhancing the overall narrative.

While it isn't overly spicy, there are a few steamy scenes that are well-placed and contribute to the character development. What I love most about The Bonds of Nyx is its focus on storytelling. Even though it falls under the reverse harem genre, the plot remains the driving force, keeping readers engaged and invested in Ivy's journey.

I can't wait to see what unfolds in book 3! If you're a fan of captivating stories with well-developed characters and a touch of romance, this series is a must-read.

The Daughters of Nyx – 2.5/5 Stars

I’m a sucker for a large harem, especially when it includes unique monsters and a curvy FMC—so this series definitely had elements I enjoy. I also really appreciated the inclusivity and diversity throughout the books so far.

That said, the spice is pretty inconsistent. I understand that each harem member brings a different dynamic, but the sudden shifts—one moment it’s all-in, the next it’s cold and distant—create a bit of emotional whiplash. Still, I’ve stuck with it, hoping for more cohesion.

It’s clear you're setting up spin-offs for side characters... but the issue is, we haven’t really been given a reason to care about them yet. I’d rather see deeper development of the FMC and her current harem before being nudged toward other potential stories. Right now, those setups feel forced and premature.

As the series nears its conclusion, I’m concerned it's trying to cram too much in—introducing important plot elements only to leave them underdeveloped or forgotten. Some relationship arcs feel rushed, or thrown in for the sake of it, which is disappointing after the buildup.

Fingers crossed the final installment brings everything together in a satisfying way.

AAAAHHHHH!!! These books are so good, seriously, I know they are going to be one of my favorite book series!

This book has everything, an AMAZING plot with many mysteries, a very interesting worldbuilding still developing, plenty of action, the hottest characters, GOOD smut, and an overwhelming vulnerability on the part of most of the characters that made me grow fonder of them.

There isn't much movement in this book (since most of it takes place in one place) but at the same time a lot of things happen and I literally couldn't stop reading!

I love the cliffhangers in this series, it's impossible not to want to continue.

Random thoughts: Completely in love with Elias and loving Adrian. The slow burn with Maeve is killing me... I love it😆🤭 I'm very interested in Hawk😏, I hope I'm not wrong with his character.

Fantastic story with all the heat!

SO Ivy & her babes (all 3 of them - 1 is a mystery) are bonded but she’s still volatile. The plot didn’t really achieve a lot of progress but the romance and emotional connections between the characters were *chefs kiss*. I love how family oriented Ivy is with her sisters. Being an eldest sister as well, I completely get her need to make sure her sisters are put first before her. It was also nice to see Eloise mature through the story from a self-involved pre-teen to thinking of her little sisters before herself. My poor baby Ro needs some loving (I volunteer!) while Maeve and Ivy’s relationship is such a wonderful slow burn.

Side note, Thea is the best BFF EVER because not only is my homegirl being forced to be celibate BUT her BFF is getting dicked down by TWO hot guys!!? She’s a better person than me bc I would be bitter af.

I'm sorry if this review is vague and confusing but just trust me, buy the book.
It's part 2 of a supernatural fantasie series so its better to go in without spoilers.
Book 1 was amazing and very fast passed and as much as i like the concept of fantasy im always nervous to get confused and lost in a complicated world Thankfully this world is intriguing, beautiful and easy to follow.
With book 2 not very much happens but a lot happens, it's clearly setting up for the next book with a lot of character growth and bonds forming. My heart loved every minute of it.
Its a great series i love to escape in and i cant wait for book 3

“My little flower had grown thorns. Good. She needed them.”

The story of Ivy and the path to becoming the new Queen of Nyx continues! Wow just wow. There’s always gotta be a cliff hanger with Audrey Moore and now I’m just like WAIT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? How many mates will Ivy have? Who is this mystery mate? Will they ever make it to Avalon? Will Ivy grow into her powers and flourish? So many questions!

What a tale The Bonds of Nyx has been. I loved seeing more of Elias and Adrian with Ivy but gosh, now what about Maeve, Rowan, this mystery mate and what about Hawk? Hmmm🤔🤔 something suspicious is going on but I can’t put my finger on it.

I cannot wait for The Powers of Nyx!

“If the last kiss undid me, this one saved me. It was the last ember of a fire catching aflame, blooming into an inferno that couldn’t be sated.”

My favourite quote from book 2!

I devoured both books over the last two days, I needed answer but feel like I have a thousand more after reading book two. I am hoping we get a lot more on Maeve, Nash and what on earth is Ry!?

I also can’t wait to see how everything plays out with Thea. I don’t think I can take best friend betrayal 🤣

If you love fantasy definitely give this series a go. But be prepared for unanswered questions throughout the books. Hopefully book 3 answers a lot do them.

A really enjoyable and much anticipated read for me, absolutely fell in love with the first book and was incredibly excited to receive an ARC copy of this book.

This book was enjoyable and I couldn’t put it down, read in just a few hours.
Not a lot happened in this book but also ALOT happened, we witnessed the two relationships evolve in this book but whilst some increased flirting& angst with others.

I did feel as though there was a slight issue with the flow of the book, it felt like stepping stones that didn’t always allow the reader to step but jump. However this could have just been just me and the speed that I personally read.

As I previously mentioned not alot really happened in the book until really the end, it seemed to just be very back and forth especially with the relationships with the other guys.
You are left with a lot of questions during this second book and it does end on a cliffhanger, however I suspect all questions will be answered in the next book.

To end, this book was really enjoyable and I truly couldn’t put it down especially with some twists that appeared. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Thankyou for allowing me to read this ARC & I look forward to seeing what happens next.

Loved this story line. I feel like a lot happened on relationship side versus the overall plot. Left with a lot of questions but I’m sure they will be answered next book.

Enjoyed the relationships with the mates
So ready for book 3 after that cliffhanger!

Definitely worth the wait! This book follows up with Book 1 and it isn't fast paced but does set the tone for the 3rd book. I really enjoyed the development between Ivy and her mates, this is a slow burn but feels like when things take off it will be an inferno! I was hooked when I started reading this, that I finished it in record time, but that ending... cliff hanger endings are going to be the death of me.

I hardly ever start a series before it is complete.. but I've had this in my TBR since the first book came out and I have been in a massive slump lately. It's a series that I just knew I would love.. and I was right. Part of me is glad I read them because I enjoyed them SO much... but now I have to wait for it to be completed and I am so bummed!

10/10 recommend. I look forward to rereading when it's complete.

This book was so worth the wait! The cliffy from the last book was crazyyyy 🤣 The Bonds of Nyx explored the bonds between Ivy and her mates (👀 with an additional member 👀👀). The events that unfolded in this book were WILD. I could hardly put the book down because of how intense some of the scenes were! I'm honestly sorry hyped for the next book!

In the second installment of Ivy Wilson, the future queen of Avalon, we get some more answers, some more adventure, some hot spice, and some new characters. I love the story, and I'm invested. My only critique is that even on cliffhangers, they end so abruptly. I'm excited for book three, but unless there are a lot of answers, I hope it's not just a trilogy.

I felt like I was rowing against current with this book. Ouf! It was like so much effort for nothing. Moving sand feeling. The end (like last 5%) was interesting but otherwise no. Still don’t understand the world, nor who is Thea, nor how does the politics occurs, she didn’t even complete the bond with Hawk and Orion. A thanks for nothing.

If I could give this book 100 stars I would.

After absolutely devouring the first book, I devoured this one. From the character development, the individuality of the magic, to the protection of their own. This book has it all. I can’t even explain how wrapped up in these I am. Sweet Adrian, even though you’re just a character, I’d bow down at your feet. On to the next!

I loved the continuation of this story but did have some gropes about the feeling that nothing really happened. Almost this whole story all took place in the same building... So while things DID happen, she claimed mates for cripes sake.. the story felt stagnant.
