His hand starts again rubbing circles on my stomach. I sink into his touch, knowing this must be some trippy dream from the beating my father gave me yesterday.
I’m still unsure what I did to anger him, so I decided it didn’t matter because the man at my back licked and nibbled on my ear.
I press back into his waiting lap, grinding into him. He growls, nipping my ear, kissing the sting away.
His arm slides up from my tummy, between my breasts, before gripping my throat, squeezing and holding me securely.

Nothing about me is soft, let alone loving, but for her, I will be. I am only soft for her. Love is not an emotion, I understand. Killing that is what I know. Blooding being after being, my hands are forever stained in blood.

Wow
I love this backstory about Moan and his mate which helps you really understand the true purpose of the Masses. This series also shows you how easy humans can slip into chaos when they are faced with something they don't understand or fear. So far this series has me hooked and I can't wait to read the rest.

Very Good Reading
This was a very good reading book. The introduction of the two characters in the beginning was a little long and there were other areas that needed more details. Such as how did Michael slip past moan to kidnap his daughter.
However, the overall reading of this book was Very Good.
I would recommend this book to others to read.

I enjoyed the quick read. I wish we got a little more background on why Selene parents did what they did to her. Book 1 was a little more detailed
