I must say that book #6 was of the Claire King series was a disappointment. The formula of a serial killer always leaving three dead bodies and Claire getting hurt but not her partner has become stale. It feels like the same plot with different characters each time.
I have stuck with this series out of sheer determination to finish what I started, but I have been left wanting more from the story. The subplot about the Artist has not gone anywhere, and the mystery surrounding Claire's mother's death has also been left unresolved.
I hope that in the final book of the series, these loose ends will be tied up, and we will finally get some closure on these storylines. As a reader with OCD tendencies, I know the struggle of needing to finish what I started, but I can't help feeling a sense of disappointment with how this series has played out.
Overall, I would recommend this book to fans of the series who are looking to wrap up loose ends, but I wouldn't expect any groundbreaking revelations or twists. Here's hoping that book #7 will bring some closure and satisfaction to long-time readers like myself.

Would not recommend the audio book version. Maybe the print is better but there were words mispronounced and weird glitches. AI?! It was not read well and done poorly enough to take away from the experience. #5 had similar problems. I’ve generally enjoyed the series but between the poor reading, and the general redundancy of the story lines of the final scenes (Claire splits and goes separate from her partner…gets injured but prevails), I would no longer recommend.
FBI Special Agent Claire King and her partner are once again on the trail of a serial killer. It’s great that the partners have honed their skills so he can cover when Claire tries to trigger a vision without alarming others. Great partnership and great trust!
