If you like a spicy book with lovable characters, a gripping story and great dialogue, then you'll love this book!
It might not be for everyone but it's such an easy read, its hard not to devour quickly.
This is the first time I've read anything by this author and I doubt it will be the last. I love the writing style and their ability to capture scenes and characters.

Kayleigh Carmichael is the owner of Kayleigh's Mud House. A widely popular coffee shop. She is doing so well that she is in the process of opening another shop on the other side of town. She and her ex-husband, Joel, co-parent a very precocious five-year old with this husband, Lance. They all live together. This arrangement works for them. They are all thriving.
Liam Asher, owner of Asher, Inc., needed coffee and Kayleigh literally ran into him. He was taken with her from the start. He had not felt feelings for another woman since Erin. Erin disappeared from his life over seven years ago. He has been looking for her, hoping for closure but despite his resources, he has still not found her. Once he and Kayleigh start dating, he starts getting strange packages. Kayleigh as well is getting phone calls from an unknown number. Could these coincidences be linked?
This book is short but readers will not feel short changed with the story. Readers get love, romance and a mystery all in one. Liam and Kayleigh need each other and I loved her son, Brady. Brady bought just the right amount of levity to a book that could get heavy at times. Liam has a team around him working to figure out what is going on. Kayleigh has a wonderful friend, Jana, that lives for Marvel. The references are insane but that also brings another dose of laughter. This is Ms. Clara's first book and I am looking forward to reading more from her.

As soon as I started this book I knew it was too good to be true, that wasn’t the case. It was all absolutely true. The LOVE and happiness in this book was everything I needed, it took me a lot longer to finish it but I am so glad I got to experience this Endgame! I was holding my breath a lot when it came to the stalker. SIDE EYE** We won't go there so I don’t spoil anything ... .BUT Everything else was all so perfect, Liam was the picture perfect billionaire partner. Kayleigh was the best mom, friend and wife the whole shabang! The two of them together were a power couple, plus add Joel and Lance of course. Brady had everything he could need!

Great Quick Read!
This was the perfect lighter read with a touch of darkness for me. Kayleigh and Liam fall hard and fast, and they have high heat between the two of them. I also loved the side characters and would love to see a story about all of them as well. The story warmed my heart, but as in all great reads, nothing can come too easy so be prepared for a bit of a dark dip, but to me, it just added depth and even more enjoyment to this fantastic read! I read it in one sitting and am now looking forward to more reads from this debut author!

I was asked to read this book and it sounded good to me so I was excited to read it. While I commend the author for writing a book because I know how hard that can be and the time and effort she put into it, it just wasn’t the book for me. It all felt very rushed and lacked descriptions. I wish some things would have been fleshed out more and described in length like his studio. The constant marvel references got a little annoying as well. I mean I get that’s a main part of one of the characters but it just felt repetitive and not natural.

I loved the messages throughout this book - coparenting and love after loss. Kayleigh the main character experiences a loss of love when the man she married and had a child with comes out as gay. The 2 decide to remain friends and co parent. Living in a house large enough to do so and to allow Joel and Lance to be together while all co parenting Brady. Not looking for love Kayleigh ends up falling for Liam who is also not looking for love after the loss of his fiancé years prior. As the relationship blossoms and Liam realizes he’s falling hard the fear of loosing her becomes a reality as history begins to repeat itself.

When I started reading this, I thought it was a sweet meet cute romance. I could not have been more wrong, and I am thrilled. I loved the Marvel references! Kayleigh and Liam have both suffered loss in different ways and had essentially sworn off love to focus on their careers. After a few collisions, they can't deny their attraction anymore. The coparenting situation between Kayleigh and her ex is such a heartwarming situation. The twist was hinted at, but I wasn't expecting it to be that level. It's definitely a read I would recommend!

I loved this book. I read it in a matter of hours. Kayleigh and Liam run into each other in her coffee shop. They begin going on dates and getting to know each other (there is some spicy sec along the way). Weird things begin happening to Liam and Kayleigh that they must work through.
This book is a Billionaire, fast burn romance with a good amount of suspense.

This was recommended to me. I've not read anything that wasn't fantasy or PRN in a really long time and I'm glad I took the chance on this book.
Kayleigh is a woman who had her heart broken by someone she was meant to spend the rest of her life with. But, life didn't go smoothly for her untill she quite literally bumps into Liam. Liam has a past that he's not sure Kayleigh will like and he's worries if she find out she will leave, just like his EX did. She disappeared with no trace. So almost 8 years of his EXs disappearance, Kayleigh and Liam start to receive random messages and phones. Liam receives something in a Bix and he knows he needs to tell Kayleigh.
Can they get past what Liam was hiding? No spoilers from me but, you have to give this ago

December 23, 2023I loved this story and I really felt it in my heart. The characters in the story felt so relatable to me. Kayleigh, the FMC lost her husband after having their sons second birthday, when he came out to her as being homosexual. Despite her husband moving on with a man, they all continue to live together to co-parent the best they can. Kayleigh meets Liam and falls for him. He is hesitant because he had lost his fiance and few years back. Their love story is amazing and I loved the characters so much. It was a quick and easy read. I highly recommend.

Wonderful contemporary romance with suspense, twist, coparenting, blended family, and another chance at love! A Must Read! Kayleigh married her best friend so life was great. Two years after son was born her husband dropped a bomb that he was gay. Liam sole focus was his company and will not entertain dating especially after his last girlfriend disappeared seven years ago. That is until Kayleigh crashes into his life.

I couldn’t get enough of this book. Kay and Liam moved so fast yet beautiful while healing trauma. Kay and her ex are amazing at co parenting. Several twists and turns but a beautiful ending. Loved!!!

For a debut novel, L. Clara delivers a story which is as well crafted and well written as many seasoned authors. While the cover might lead the reader to expect a standard sweet romance, don't be fooled. This book has much more going on between it's covers than meets the eye. While not lacking in sweet and spicy content, there is a dark lining which will appeal to a wider range of romance genre readers.
The main characters, Kayleigh and Liam, are nicely developed and the secondary characters are also a pleasure to read and lend a lot to the story overall as well. The Marvel references were a really fun touch, so for those who are fans, you'll enjoy this book and Jana.

This was the first time, I read her book. MAN, this book was Awesome. To me the Blud, didn't do it justice, and the cover, don't let that fool you. 💓 this book. I Highly Recommend, this book. Its A Must Read! I just could put this book down. I read it in one setting, Only put it down one time, when I had to. This is a sweet romance, funny, romantic, suspense, action, twist and turns , spicy, Wonderful characters and so much more. Love Kayleigh, and Liam, together. 💓 the way she raise her son, with her ex and his husband. 💓 that kid, he's so funny and smart. 💓 the way she add Marvel references, to this book. This is a Must Read. I'm Definitely, going to read, it again. Its on my top three, now. This book was way, better than my last book, I read, it was Awesome, also, but not like this. Yes, yes, yes a thousand times yes! I want to read this book again and again it was so good. I was hooked with the letter in the beginning and it just got better and better. I wish I had the mind to get me a Matcha and a lemon loaf to read along because Kay makes you crave everything she makes in this book! I feel like I know her and like me and Jana are literal spirit animals, her marvel obsession is synonymous to my Batman obsession (Rip the late great heath ledger, no Batman is better than Christian bale idc)!!! I loved every last bit of this book. I’m anti kids and I want Brady as my little human! 🥹 I have never been so obsessed with a book and invested in each and every character like I have in this book in such a sweet longing way in A WHILE. Great read. If you don’t read it, I’ll read it again for you cause yes!

Only time will tell when you read this amazing 5 star story!!! Oh and one other thing, here is an example of how cute Kaleigh and Joel's son can be... Brady meets Liam for the first time in his mom's office and he asks Liam, "So, are you mono-moose with anyone? " 😂 He was basically asking if Liam was monogamous with anyone? Smart as a whip little boy. Hehehe

This was a fantastic read. Kayleigh and Liam’s love story is sweet as it is hot. I am not sure where to start. The dialogue is on point. The side characters are diverse and enhance the story and the author added a level of suspense and mystery to bring it all together.
This is the first time I have read this author, and it will not be the last. Her writing style keeps you invested, and you will not want the story to end. I devoured this book. The Marvel references throughout had me laughing. The description of co-parenting was amazing and was a breath of fresh air.
I highly recommend this book. You will not regret it.

I devoured this book and lived for every second of it! Literally have been up since 2AM reading. 😅 The characters are so lovable and the dynamic of this cute little family is amazing. I have been swooning over the MMC this entire time.😍
The smut was top notch spice. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
And as a Marvel girl myself I appreciated all of the references. Not to mention Kayleigh’s cute pet name for Liam…”Cap?!?!?” Duh! Because he has Captain America booty!
This work was something the author should be extremely proud of…especially this being her debut novel!?!?!

January 27, 2025Way too short to have so much going on. Interesting concept living with your young son, your gay ex husband, and his new husband. I can appreciate wanting the best for your child. And that seemed to work. What didn't work is this guy is a marketing billionaire but you never see a single employee except his PA. His bodyguard wants to tell him something but he says they'll talk later and the bodyguard doesn't speak up?!
But for the love of God, it got to the point that I wanted to stab myself every time I read a Marvel mention, and I freaking love Marvel. It was ridiculous.

Where do I start? I love how cute Liam and Kayleigh are together. It's such a sweet (and spicy) love story between the two of them. Do not let the image on the cover fool you, this story has suspense and action tied into it. I absolutely adore the unconventional family dynamic that Kayleigh has with her ex while raising their son together, it just makes for another great layer throughout the story. Also, the Marvel references are off the charts - so definitely a must-read for any Marvel fan!

The cover leads you to believe its light and fluffy but you couldn’t be more wrong!!!! It’s such a beautiful story that gets spicy!!!! It was beautifully written with characters you fall in love with!!! How would you react if you were kidnapped by your lovers stalker?!?! Come along for the ride and find out how this fmc deals with being kidnapped!!!!! I can’t wait to see what L Clara writes next and the journey that story will take us on❤️

I loved this book. Not only was it a quick read with wonderful characters and lots of steam it had some mystery and suspense elements that I really enjoyed. I loved the aunthenticity of the characters and how they made their unique family situation a focus and showerld that it can work and that families are what you make them! I would love another book about the other characters! I definitely recommend this book!

This is such a cute book, with all the warm and fuzzy romance you could want! It's a nice palette cleanser from some of the darker books, full of romance, a little spice and a little mystery. I love Kay and Liem and loved reading their love story! The story is full of Marvel, and Gilmore Girl references, which adds humor and warmth to the story. If you are looking for a light hearted, romance this is your book! Everyone deserves their End Game and this proves it!

I’m torn because… I’m old. And used to couples that aren’t same s3x. Sorry but all of this didn’t raise its head until fairly recently. It happened, of course, but mostly not in the books I’ve read. The mystery aspect was good and the romance aspect was good too. The Marvel stuff was great!
So I’m half liking it, and half not completely into it. I know it’s me. So I’m sorry but the best I could do was the three stars.

This sweet little story packs a good punch. For being as small as it is, you still get hit with so many things and emotions that'll test you!
Watching the relationship between Kayleigh and Liam unfold is absolutely amazing. Yes trying at times, but it comes full circle and it's beautiful. I swear that man's blood is pure love and adoration for Kay and I just loved it so much.
And if you are a Marvel fan, then you'll definitely get your kicks off reading all the tie ins!

First up, this has some triggers. Please read the list before hand in case you have any.
Second, OMG this was such a great book. Kayleigh and Liam both have baggage and haven’t been in a relationship in a long time. But after first sight, Liam falls for Kayleigh. He just doesn’t realize that he brings in some unsuspecting baggage before it is to late. This book has the twists, turns and drama, but it sneaks up on you and then BAM. It was good.
