‘ Your life is perfect.’ Anna says, smiling across my dining table. But something in her tone and the glint in her hazel eyes lets me know the comment is laced with jealousy. I sip my wine and smile. Soon she’ll learn that having this life costs more than she could ever imagine…

Everyone thinks I’m living the perfect life. I have my dream job, a stunning apartment, and glamourous friends – who know nothing about my dark past. So I’m shocked when I run into Anna , who I haven’t seen in eighteen years. Everything about her reminds me of the life I’ve left behind. But as her eyes fill with tears and she tells me she’s lost her job and can’t pay her rent, I reluctantly offer her my spare room.

Anna promises she won’t stay for long. But soon, I notice she’s wearing my designer clothes and has dyed her hair to match my exact shade of chocolate brown. As I watch her curled up on my sofa, my blood runs cold. Did Anna really come back into my life by chance? What is she hiding?

Then I receive a chilling anonymous phone call telling me my time is up. Memories of that terrible night that changed everything come flooding back. The flames. The thick smoke. Someone knows what I did, and they want revenge.

But whoever that someone is, they’ve underestimated how far I’ll go to protect my perfect life…

Anna is jealous of her cousin Siobhan. They reconnect and just like when they were younger, Anna thinks that Siobhan has the be tter life. A perfect life actually. Anna begins stalking Siobhan’s social media pages. Before long, Anna begins the process of literally moving into Siobhan's life. In fact, when she appears to be in dire straights, Siobhan invites her to become her roommate. Perfect.

As children, the relationship between Anna and Siobhan definitely had its issues. Anna never seemed good enough, not to Siobhan and not to Siobhan's mother. Now that they are adults, perhaps things can be different.

One of them is hiding something from her past. At the end of things, only one might be left alive. Who is it that has a huge secret, and how could the result of that secret possibly life-threatening? I will leave it up to the reader to find these answers, all while watching closely the actions of both Anna and Siobhan.

Victoria Jenkins does not disappoint with this book, especially when she manages to write characters that you simply don't like. Or trust. But that is exactly what makes this story work. You want to see what happens and that is exactly what keeps you riveted to this book page after page.

If you want a captivating story, a story that keeps you glued to your book, because Your Perfect Life proves to be anything but.

Many thanks to Bookouture and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

A pov story so skillfully told. Not everything is black and white and perception is everything. Screaming of single white female this is a story where looking into someone's life from the outside it can seem perfect and youvwant it but is it what you think it.
Anna and siobhan are related . Skillful writing nakes you think one thing and then bang its completely different. It was hard going at tines but as the story revealed itself I hated and loved them both mixed with the mystery past and present. It was a real page turner especially after the twist reveal.
I would highly recommend this. It had vives to me as a potential series.
Thank you netgallery and publisher and author for this 5 star tead

Anne and Siobhan are cousins who have been estranged for quite sometime before a ‘chance’ encounter reunites them.

It started of pretty good, the vibes were alright too but then it pretty quickly fell flat. Maybe a bit more character development was needed as sometimes the story left me feeling befuddled by the vague details and then the character makes this sudden conclusion and 💥…….
While it was not a hit for me, I can see how others might love it.

Many Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC.

OK WOW , Make sure to add to your TBR Right NOW !!

I thought I was back in 1992 as this book gave me Single White Female Vibes .

This is the first time reading this author and I have to say it wont be my last !

Your Perfect Life was a gripping , fast paced read with short chapters set with two POV's which was easy to follow.

" I know Siobhan . I know her better than she realizes. There are two types of people in the world: those who watch , and those who want to be watched . I'm a watcher . I prefer to blend in the background and fade among the shadows , somewhere hard to see but easy to see from ."

You have Anna the cousin who recently lost her job who shows up in Siobhan's life out of nowhere and then you have Siobhan who has it all the looks, the career , the money, the clothes and her co-worker Carrie has just been murdered ... Siobhan invites Anna to stay with her while Anna gets her life back together , but what Siobhan doesn't realize is that maybe the life Anna wants is right in front of her !

We watch as these two unhinged woman's lives spiral out of control and get crazier and wilder , who are doing anything and everything to protect their secrets and as readers we are always second guessing who is the real villain in this story ??

Your Perfect Life is full of :
Suspense
Unhinged characters
Secrets
Great Narration
Surprise Ending !!!

Fans of None of This Is True , Verity and Yellowface will love this read!!

Thank you so much Netgalley and Bookouture and Victoria Jenkins for this advanced Digital Copy !!

My Review:
Wow, wow and more wow!!!!! I don’t even know where to begin with this one. I was left completely shocked and speechless. When I began this book I wasn’t sure what direction it was heading in but halfway through bam everything took a mind blowing turn. It all finally made sense. The characters were all so dark and twisted. Every single one of them had something up their sleeve. It was so fun reading what each of their plans were and why they were doing it. Now let’s talk about that heart attack of an ending. I loved it!!!!! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I have read most of this authors books but this was my favorite so far. It had everything I look for in a great read. I can’t wait to read her next one.

In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I really enjoyed YOUR PERFECT LIFE. I also appreciated the alternating points of view of Siobhan and Anna, this format is one of my favorites. I found it to be an easy read with some great twists along the way. Victoria Jenkins kept me guessing and I would be happy to read more of her books in the future.

Many thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for my gifted ARC.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC (Advance Reader Copy) of Your Perfect Life by Victoria Jenkins. This was not a favourite of mine. It started quite slowly and took a while before I became engaged. Then it fell flat again shortly after. I was able to predict quite a few so called surprises so I found it too predictable. I like lots of twists and turns. A 3 star rating from me. So not a big hit for me but I am able to see that others may like it.

All of Victoria Jenkins books I have read have been an excellent read and her latest one Your Perfect Life, was another excellent book. Victoria you are a genius! the way she writes all her books, she just pulls you in and it's always hard to put your kindle/book down once you start to read it. This book was no different! I couldn't turn the pages quick enough, I was hooked from the very first few pages till the end.

‘ Your life is perfect.’ Anna says, smiling across my dining table. But something in her tone and the glint in her hazel eyes lets me know the comment is laced with jealousy. I sip my wine and smile nicely! Soon she’ll learn that having this life costs more than she could ever imagine…

Everyone thinks I’m living the perfect life. I have my dream job, a stunning apartment, and glamorous friends. But, who know nothing about my dark past.
So when I run into Anna, who I haven’t seen in eighteen years brings back memories. Everything about her reminds me of the life I’ve left behind, the life I want to forget, bury so deep so it will never surface again!!! But as her eyes fill with tears and she tells me she’s lost her job and can’t pay her rent, I reluctantly offer her my spare room.

But, Anna promises she won’t stay for long. Then, I notice she’s wearing my designer clothes and has dyed her hair to match my exact shade of chocolate brown. As I watch her curled up on my sofa, my blood runs cold. I start to scream inside!!!!

Why did Anna really come back into my life by chance?

What is she hiding?

WoW........Page turn I want to learn more about these characters.

I highly recommend this book......Another 5 star book to read!

Big Thank you so much Netgalley and Bookouture and Victoria Jenkins for this ARC.

‘ Your life is perfect.’ Anna says, smiling across my dining table. But something in her tone and the glint in her hazel eyes lets me know the comment is laced with jealousy. I sip my wine and smile. Soon she’ll learn that having this life costs more than she could ever imagine…

Anna and Siobhan are cousins that find each other again after a chance encounter at a library. Anna is hiding secrets and as their friendship deepens she tells Siobhan that she is unemployed and has no where to live so Siobhan offers Anna a room in her apartment rent free and thinks it may be nice to have some company for a while instead of living alone. As the weeks move forward Anna begins to take on Siobhan's characteristics including copying her dress sense, even down to getting the same hair cut. This is just the beginning of how Anna infiltrates Siobhan's life and it doesn't take long for her to realise that Anna wishes to be just like her. This is where the story takes off and Siobhan slowly becomes aware of Anna's true intentions. But Siobhan has her own secrets and Anna is about to find out that her cousins life is not as rosy as she thinks and possibly has now put herself in danger.

I did enjoy the book but as I continued to read I pretty well worked out where it was all going and was not really surprised by the events as they unfolded. An easy read that did move along at a reasonable pace and an ending that was quite satisfactory.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for an advanced copy, all opinions are my own.

Your Perfect Life by Victoria Jenkins is another twisty, compelling read from an author who never seems to set a foot wrong.

Anna and Siobhan are cousins who have lost touch, but reconnect again following a chance encounter. It becomes evident quite early, though, that both women have their secrets, and their seemingly cordial reunion soon begins to spiral as their shared history is brought to light. I won't say much more, but you will want to add this one to your TBR right away, and then settle in for the ride.

Does anyone really have a perfect life? Anna seemed to think Siobhan, her estranged cousin had and she wanted that life for her and would stop at nothing to get it, including being her!

This was a great book to read, it kept my interest throughout, the pace was perfect and the twists were fantastic. Just when you think you know what is happening or about to happen there is a plot twist!

I didn’t know which character to trust, I liked and loathed them equally.

The ending left things so open like it wasn’t quite finished. Maybe a sequel will happen?! I hope so!

I loved the writing style of this author (first time I read her). It was easy to follow, a fast read. At times, it was hard to know who I rooted for as they each had something I liked and something I didn't like haha. I think that I love the way the characters ended. I would have been sad if it ended a different way for Anna.

2/2.5 ⭐️

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.

I’m a bit torn over this book. Whilst it was wholly okay, it started off strong with ‘The Housemaid’ vibes which I devoured, before soon going a bit off track… As I read, it felt as though I were skipping chapters, where character thoughts skipped to the next, immediately knowing/suspecting what the other half was up to. Maybe some more development was needed.
It was okay, but I felt from 45% onwards, I was frowning throughout as I tried to make sense of the story and the characters’ motives.
Overall, the pacing was good, but I was left flummoxed by the sudden jumps of conclusions from each POV, especially the presence of Jack who seems to be very minute, but turns out to have a big part in just two or so chapters. I don’t know, I’m just left feeling a bit ‘eh?’ by this book.

This story got so predictable that I kept waiting for an extra plot twist because I couldn’t believe it would be that predictable 😑 welp, I was wrong. Dragged on and on only to really piss me off at the ending.

The writing was good and the story felt original. I would give this author another try.

Good psychological thriller. It took me some time to understand what's going on. Didn't know how it would turn out until the end. Pace is okay, and the plot is unexpected but engaging. Siobhan and Anna both have secrets and painful past experiences. Their dual point view add layers. Characters are mostly unreliable. Overall, it's a good thriller. Recommended. Thanks a lot to Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC in exchange for an honest review

Your perfect life by Victoria Jenkins and here is my review.

Siobhan looks picture perfect from the outside. Great job, respected by her peers, a nice quiet life.

She hasn’t seen her cousin Anna in years but a chance meeting at the library has them both back in each others lives and Siobhan is feeling vulnerable after someone she works with is murdered and she finds their body, she invites Anna to stay with her while she finds another job.

Siobhan feels like she is being watched and when someone calls her work telling her, her time is up, she remembers the night of the fire and now she can’t even seem to outrun her past.

Whoever is trying to scare her, already knows too much and things are getting deadly.

As far as thrillers go, this one was pretty dang good. The book is told from both Siobhan’s and Anna’s POV. You think you know what both these women are about but as the book progresses you realize you know nothing or what you think you know… is wrong. I love it when books wrong foot me.

There are so many hidden secrets and intrigue in this book with never a dull moment. I always enjoy books that have more twists than the spaghetti junction. The writing is great, the pace is steady and speeds up a little in the right spots.

I definitely would recommend this book to anyone who loves a twisty thriller.

“Your Perfect Life” is filled with suspense and intrigue, capturing readers’ attention from page one to the last page. Through its intricate characters, twisting plot, and the soul of a haunted past that, bit by bit, comes to light, it is easy for the author to tell this story with consummate skill about deception and revenge so that they can keep their perfect lives.

She has an excellent life. Then, all of a sudden, Anna comes back. That was one major cause to go ahead and make this movie now. In the process of this, the tension gradually grows,, and you begin to wonder what Anna is after and why she has kept her her whereabouts a secret. These two points, along with the chilling anonymous phone call and a protagonist haunted by tragic childhood memories that imperil her present state of affairs, combine to tell an even more gripping story.

“Your Perfect Life” is a thrilling roller coaster of suspense as unexpected twists and turns ensue. For those who enjoy psychological thrillers and like to explore the darker side of human nature, it makes for a compelling read. The story shows that the past can never be escaped, and secrets always find a way to return to us. This book is worth adding to your reading list.

Thank you to Bookouture, and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this book.

Anna and Siobhan are cousins but haven't seen each other for years. Anna is desperate to reconnect and envies Siobhan's perfect life. But in reality, Siobhan has an enemy stalking her...
Your Perfect Life is a psychological thriller set in London.
Siobhan has a good career but Anna is unemployed. Siobhan seems to have it all and Anna wants to be part of her life, basking in her reflected glory. Yet Siobhan is spooked by the delivery of a dozen black roses and a sinister voice calls in to her radio show. Both characters hint at something from their past and it is not going to stay hidden any longer.
The book is written from the first person perspectives of Siobhan and Anna so we can experience their emotions and understand their actions. A quarter of the way through, there was a major shift in emphasis as we realise Anna's darker side and this increased the tension as we anticipate what could happen as she grows closer to Siobhan.
I really liked the way the alternating chapters allowed us to get to know the two main characters. It isn't easy to like either of the women although they felt authentic due to the narrative style. There are lots of clues about the past as well as shocking developments in the present day. I was swept up in the drama as the plot unfolded.
Your Perfect Life is an enjoyable psychological thriller with two strong lead characters.

Cousins caught in a cat-and-mouse game - would be my summary for this book.

When Anna meets her older cousin Siobhan after eighteen long years, she can't help but envy her perfect life. With her successful career, her own home and her expensive wardrobe, Siobhan sure seems to have it all, compared to frumpy Anna's own down-in-the-dumps life - divorced and unemployed. Siobhan has always been aware of how obsessed Anna was about her when they were kids, and yet against her better judgement, she impulsively offers her spare room to Anna to help her out. But soon she realizes that Anna's obsession has escalated to dangerous levels with Anna wanting Siobhan's perfect life for herself.

Victoria Jenkins' latest novel pits two flawed females against each other. Quite often, it was difficult to determine which character deserved more empathy - one was opportunistic, while the other was plain delusional. It was a treat to have plot twists popping up just a couple of chapters into the book and this continued till the very last page.

Overall, a quick read full of suspense and twists. Thanks to Bookouture and Netgalley for providing a digital copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a crazy good book! Truthfully, mystery/thrillers are my favorite genre (and I am a book a day reader) so it is hard to surprise me with a plot twist and this book did it. I have never read anything like it before!
The story is narrated by the main character, Siobhan, and the secondary character Anna in alternating chapters. Just enough characters through0ut the story so you don't need a notepad to keep track, I truly appreciate this in a book.
Siobhan has a successful job that she enjoys and a great apartment in the city. One day she runs into Anna, a cousin she hasn't seen in 18 years, at the library and they exchange information so they can keep in touch. Not long after they meet up and Anna has lost her job, so Siobhan invites her to stay with her until she gets her life back on track. Things start to spiral out of control and just when you think you have it figured out, the next chapter throws you for a loop.
I am telling everyone I see to read this book; it is that good! Thank you to Bookouture for the gifted ARC. All opinions are my own.

You know the saying 'the grass is always greener on the other side'? Well, that fits this story perfectly, until it doesn't...

There is nothing wrong with imitating someone's hair or dress style. I admit it can be annoying for the person being copied, but on the other hand it can also be seen as a compliment when people like it so much they want to mirror it.

Some people go even further and really want to become that person. But be careful for what you wish for...

The more I got sucked into the story, the more skeletons were falling out of the closet.

Soemtimes you think yoy know someone and you know exactly how to get them where you want them to go, but are you really as clever as you thought? Did you really think you were the clever one?

I love, love this book. The green eyed monster is such a powerful creature that can consume someone completely making them cross the line. 5 stars

Thank you

Your Perfect Life is a fast-paced, gripping psychological thriller. Estranged cousins, Anna and Siobahn, randomly run into each other at the library. Neither realizes exactly what this encounter will lead to. A few weeks later, Anna not only is living with Siobahn but also is taking over her life (to the point that people think Anna is Siobahn out in public). What is Anna's end goal? Who is the true villain in this story?

Your Perfect Life is fast-paced with plenty of unexpected twists. The story is told through alternating POVs, which adds to the overall plot. While I enjoyed the book, I found the ending to be a bit rushed and a bit too unrealistic. For me, the ending (which I don't want to give away any spoilers) took away from the rest of the book and is the reason I can only give this book three stars. However, I will definitely read more from this author and will likely still recommend Your Perfect Life to fans of psychological thrillers.

This is a story about Siobhan and Anna who are estranged cousins and told from their points of view. They bump into each other in a library after a number of years. Anna thinks that Siobhan has the prefect life with a dream job, luxury apartment and glamorous friends. Anna is struggling as she has lost her job and reluctantly Siobhan agrees that she can stay with her for a few weeks. Little did she realise how much she would regret that decision. Anna soon starts to wear Siobhan’s clothes and dyes her hair to look like her. But things soon begin to go wrong for Siobhan when her friend at the radio station is murdered and she begins to receive mysterious packages. Both of them have hidden secrets as the book switches to and fro from both their stories. The book was full of lies, suspense and had so many twists and turns that had me totally gripped. A very addictive read.

This was such a great obsessive thriller book. I love the obsessive female trope and Victoria Jenkins did this one so well. The pacing was perfect and there were little twists or revelations sprinkled throughout that made it want you to just keep reading. This book is a great example of being envious of someone else's life or thinking someone else is perfect when they are not. You see so much jealousy nowadays on social media where influencers make their lives look so perfect, but behind the screens, there is so much you don't see. Anna is absolutely obsessed with Siobhan, thinking her life is just so glamourous and absolute perfection, but we get to see Siobhan's POV also, where we see the struggles she really deals with on a daily. The only real complaint and the reason it wasn't 5 stars for me was just the predictability. I had pretty much guessed all of the twists that included Anna.

I loved this amazing psychological thriller - SO gripping!!

Anna is, let's face it, a psychopath (this is very obvious from the get-go, so no spoilers here!) She has recently divorced and has no career to speak of, she is however, OBSESSED with her seemingly 'perfect' cousin, Siobhan.

Siobhan has a successful career as a radio producer, all is well until, boom! A close friend is murdered! This coincides with Anna reaching out to rekindle the relationship between the cousins. I cant say more for risk of spoilers, but I will say this is a GREAT read - it had it all: - plot twists, dark characters, secrets, lies, and all wrapped up in a superbly written novel. This is really the PERFECT read!

BOOKWORMS REVIEW: Cousins Siobhan and Anna reconnect by accident(or was it?)in a library after many years. We see that Siobhan has the life- the job,the looks, the money & friends! Anna has just lost her job and is struggling. Siobhan offers Anna a place to stay with her until she gets back on track. Seeing that Siobhan is so successful in life,Anna starts to emulate her in every way...right down to her haircut. Think of the movie 'Single White Female' and you'll get the vibe. We watch as things unfold and both women spiral..leaving us wondering which one is the actual villain in this story. Theres more to both women than meets the eye. A good read that will keep you invested.

This novel was great and gripped me straight away.

We meet main characters Anna and Siobhan who recently have re-established a relationship after many years of not being in each others lives.

Siobhan appears to have an almost glamourous life style and she offers Anna her spare room in her time of need. Thinking she will not out stay her welcome, Siobhan soon realises that she was wrong to think that in the first place.

Anna appears to be slowly turning herself into Siobhan and she starts to question if there sudden "meeting" was actually on accident. There are some secrets that are about to come to question and the story really starts to set alight.

I really enjoyed the format of the novel and the characters were fun and great to read about.
