Dangers Unclaimed is a dark, RH/why choose, new adult romantasy for lovers of Greek mythology (Hades x Persephone/King Minos) and films like The Labyrinth and Jurassic Park.……………………………………………………When Raven Adaway’s mother passes away unexpectedly, Raven begrudgingly takes guardianship of her unruly younger brother, Robin, who she hasn’t seen in years. However, on the night of her mother’s funeral, Raven makes a silent plea to the Universe to take away the responsibility of her brother. Little does she know that her darkest dreams and desires have been shared with another for longer than she can remember, someone who has been lurking in the shadows of her mind, waiting for the chance to claim her soul by any means necessary.Rejecting a simple but unfair soul exchange, Raven finds herself traversing a deadly Underworld maze full of mythical beasts and hungry prehistoric birds to save Robin from the tyrannical, but achingly beautiful, Demon King.Bound to his castle, the Demon King sends three of his commanders - a vampire, a werewolf, and a harpy - to thwart Raven in her attempt to complete his maze. But has the Demon King overestimated the loyalty of his commanders? Or has he underestimated Raven’s powers of persuasion?…………………………………………………Book one in the ‘Untold Dangers’ series.

I read this author's first book last month and rated it five stars. Dangers unclaimed is very different but definitely still a five star read for me. I loved how spicy it was and was so much fun to read.

There's a good balance of plot to spice and the characters aren't two dimensional at all. They all have very distinct personalities and can't wait to learn more about Dato and Lorcan in book two.

I wasn't expecting an emotional ending at all. I had tears in my eyes the last few chapters. I also loved that Raven came into her own by the end and truly embraced her wants and desires. She had no shame and I really respect that in a female character when it comes to sex. Plus, she was so badass and fierce.

I know Julius is supposed to be the villain but I couldn't help but love his possessiveness. I think he really does care about Raven and maybe has thing's to do with the curse that he needs to overcome before he deserves her.

Hex, OMG, I love him. That's all I'll say because don't want to spoil anything.

For a dark fantasy romance, it definitely made consent important. I don't think it really constituted dub-con because consent was established through a safe word situation. I think this is done really well and is done very responsibly.

Overall, I loved it and the world building wasn't dumped on you, it was filtered throughout the story from different perspectives. The spice was on point too, and the Greek myth elements really added to it.

Can't wait to read the next book and more from this author.

This has potential to be a good series. I will definitely read the second book as I'm hoping it gets slightly better. While I liked most of the potential harem and the maze is a cool idea I did have a few issues with the plot and the FMC's choices. I have a lot of hope for where the story could go. So fingers crossed we get there.

This was my first reverse harem book, but it also had a main love story, and an enemies to lovers potential arc for the next book. It was kind of like a love square with the jealous and possessive demon king looming in the background, trying to break it apart. It was an interesting dynamic and makes me want to read more RH books in the future.
Dangers Unclaimed is a very steamy read. I was blushing hard. I had to shield my kindle at work when I snuck in a chapter. Make sure to check trigger warnings though. But it wasn't that dark compared to some dark romances I've read. It's more acceptable in fantasy.
I'm surprised no one is talking about it more on booktok. The plot and world building was actually good considering how much smut was in it. And the author gave the main character realistic motivations and reasons why she was getting down with these hot demons during times of crisis. She had to seduce them to save her brother, but then that naturally evolved from there into real desire and her freedom to choose.
I'm rambling now, but all in all, I really enjoyed the story and the world/characters so I'm excited to continue the series.

A cross between Jurassic Park and Labyrinth..... Yes please.

Raven returns home to take care of her mother's funeral and takes guardianship of her 15yr old brother.

Not happy about being back in her childhood home looking after a unruly teen she wishes him away.

The Demon King (Julius) has been waiting for Raven for years. So when he hears her wish he grant's it. She wakes up in the underworld and is given a choice.

Working her way through the Labyrinth which is also inhabited by dinosaurs and other dangerous creatures she comes across 3 (ridiculously hot) Demons, sent by Julius to lead her astray.

Of course they end up having some delicious spicey scenes in the middle of a dangerous labyrinth (when in Rome I suppose). Much to Julius's anger.

Really enjoyed this first part cannot wait for part two. :)

FMC has serious body betrayal issues.
MMC's use sex as a punishment.
FMC often talks about how her mother never allowed her to be who she wanted to be, yet she sleeps with MMC's who want to change everything about her.
This whole book is full of contradictions in personality, choices and thoughts.
It would be nice to read about FMC's and MMC's who are actually in touch with their thoughts, feelings and desires without acting dumb, mean and irrational.

As a newbie author, Bayley has potential but she falls short on writing with emotion, impact and substance.
This book is about using sex and domination as punishment to change a woman.

I loved the Labyrinth and Jurassic Park vibes. The Demon King needs a redemption arc in the second book but the three other demons were ace, especially Dato and Hex.

The maze was an interesting setting and the different areas were described well and added to the story.

It was very spicy and not too dark. I like dark romance but not the sort of dark that can be uncomfortable to read. I think it was the perfect level of smut, plot, character development, and kink.

Will definitely read book two.

A saucy RH with demon alpha-holes, quests, and dinosaurs. What more can you ask for?
I read first on Kindle Unlimited but had to buy the physical copy after because the cover is stunning!
I'm hoping a certain character comes back to life in the second book. I want the next one in my hands like right now!!!

Wasn't for me

It took a while to get started, but I kept reading. I was disappointed in the FMC choices and started to lose interest. I finished it but won't be reading book 2. The tic-tok recommendation had me thinking it was going in a different direction.

This book had me from the word GO!

I am sucker for a why choose. Add in persephone/hades vibes, a demon king, a cheeky vampire, an alpha wolf, a sweet harpy- oh and dinosaurs- and I'm a happy girl.

I'm eager for book 2 as I'm curious where the story will go next!

Definitely would recommend this book for those after a bit of sugar, spice, and everything dark and twisted.

Tik tok recommendation.... I don't know why I even try to find a good tiktok recommendation. They failed 8 out of 10, and this one is one of them. It didn't start bad, but it got progressively worse as the plot advanced, too fast, poor world building and weird spice. Couldn't finish it.
