It should have been enough.
Anne Wilson had the perfect boyfriend and the perfect Caribbean villa. It should have been her happily-ever-after. But her past overshadows her sunny life. On an impulse, she ditches all of it and flies to Guadeloupe. A new island. A fresh start.

But starting over is impossible with so many loose ends.

Only twenty-four hours after Anne arrives in Guadeloupe, Sandy's friend hands her a backpack full of cash, and Anne is plunged back into Sandy's world. When someone breaks into her motel room, Anne goes on the run. Someone knows about the money. Someone wants her off the island.

She has to decide. Keep running? Or risk everything to keep her perfect life.

Who Do You Trust?

Ms. Geer once again has crafted an intriguing story and left us wanting more. Her heroine, Anne Wilson, is beyond brave, smart, loyal, and resourceful. Given all that, she still has to figure out who to trust with what information. The suspense kept me reading late into the night. This was a great read, and I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Excellent follow up to Assumed. I really like Anne as a character. She is struggling and flawed just like we all are, yet she is incredibly strong. The book has a nice rhythm and the characters are all intriguing, especially Bertie, I really like her. I enjoy the twists and suspense and I’m excited to see what trouble Anne gets into next.
Definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspense novels, especially ones where you can almost smell the ocean and hear the waves!
