This is a fun, easy to read, compelling story. The Truth Stealer is book 2 of Kendra Merritt’s series and part of the Eldros Legacy, but still reads as a standalone story. It was also my introduction to the much bigger project, something I’ll definitely dig deeper into.
As fun as this tale is, it falls a bit short when resolving conflicts. The heavy action takes only a few pages to play out with no real consequences for the adventurers. And even though Bex’s (MC) greatest weapon is her ability to talk her way out of situations, solutions are too easily found.
