...I'm still not a fan of Remy. I liked Dillon but also found him a bit naive but not in an endearing way. It wasn't as sweet as I've come to expect from these book and the whole chapter in Lucien and the Tiger seemed unnecessary. Maybe the Mafia angle wasn't for me.
Remy is hils brother and Inherited the family mafia business from his father. But this other mafia family stole Hil and in order to get him back, remy had to make a deal to give Armand all of the dirty money stuff. So he was like fine and then Armand shot Cali in the leg as his ‘pound of flesh’ or whatever and they left. Not to worry though, remy has a whole bunch of left businesses. But then his father dies and Armand shows up demanding remy marry his daughter or he was going to kill everyone remy loves. That included his brother, he mom, and the secret love of his life Dillon. So he agrees and then hires Dillon to be his assistant. Eris, the daughter, keeps showing up and being a pain in the ass about shit. She plants a tracker in a wicked expensive watch and she catches him with Dillon and demands he never see Dillon again. Meanwhile remy gets Dillon to buy a building in the hood for community outreach. He stays away from Dillon but they communicate through a shared calendar where Dillon puts in all the things he needs and remy maes everything happen. When the community center opens, remy whisks Dillon to France. The have a couple nice days till crazy eris shows up because of the tracker. Remy and friends come up with a plan to get remy out of marrying eris. They plan to steal Armand’s ledgers showing where all of his money laundering happens. So they set up to throw an engagement party. Remy steals the ledgers and gives a fake one to the fbi. He goes back to tell Armand and makes another deal that Armand will leave him alone already and he won’t give the real ledgers to the fbi and he also has to let eris marry who she wants. Remy gets Dillon back and HEA. There are like two more books in this series and as much as I like the stories and get how they can all be stand alones, I like to finish any series I start. But also like how are so many gay boys connected? One little twin of like 50 people or whatever has like all gay boys. So there’s that.

This books doesn’t really fit into the mold of the ones before it. Taking place almost exclusively in NYC with no MC’s being from Snow Tip Falls. Taking that into account I think allows the author to explore a deeper plot that didn’t need to small town charm of other books. This books was darker, and in some was more raw then previous books.
The story deals with a mafia pricling and a poor boy. Unlikely lovers who always knew they were meant to be together but their worlds kept them apart. Exploring the more seedy nature of the mafia politics this storyline by extension lead to a much more intense and more raw 🌶️ encounters. From a physical standpoint lube was never mentioned and I felt like that was intentional. These characters were raw and emotional in a world that punishes the weak. The 🌶️ scene reflected that.
A good read but like the rest of the series I wish there was more after the resolution of the conflict. The books ends with the MC saying we’re going to live happily ever after but I want to know what that looks like.
Yep this book kept me going and I’m very happy with it. It didn’t feel rushed. The storyline was great. The MCs matched perfectly and their roles were believable. And it didn’t feel like the author left things out. This is a book you can sink into. Remy and Dillon have been attracted to each other for years. Because of Remy’s dad he has kept Dillon at arms length. But once his father passes he’s all in to move forward with Dillon until a rival mafia family blackmails Remy. Together Dillon and Remy fight for their love. Yes this book gives you all kinds of touchy feely vibes plus more. 5 star ⭐️ rating for this one 💜
Of the 5 stories in this series so far, I must admit I liked this one the least. Too much violence. I am sure the Mafia world is probably even worse than depicted in this story. If you don’t like violence then you might want your speed read through sections. The book fits in the series because parts of it take place in Snow Tip Falls and it involves characters we have met before, but the overall tone is very dark. Love prevails though.
Returning to McAnders' world, I find Hil's brother and best friend, Dillon, are trying desperately to find a way to admit their love, then find a way to be together. Mafia Marriage is at times charming and one of those stories that you want to find the person responsible for the heartache and chop off they most treasured body part.
Wasn’t sure about this one at the beginning. It grew on me though and by midway through I was hooked. Great story, interesting character development and an unpredictable twist made this a story worth the read.
It took a while to get there, but it was at least direct. It was good to learn more about the main characters who appeared briefly in the previous Snow Tip Falls book.
