She offered him $10,000 to seduce her father’s gold-digging fiancée.
He countered with $15,000 and a kiss—from her. At any time he chose.
Kris should’ve said no, but she was desperate to get rid of her stepmother-to-be, and the gorgeous actor with the wicked grin was perfect for the job.
So she agreed to his terms—not knowing that doing so would cost her a lot more than money and a kiss...
—
He did it for the money, which he desperately needed.
The kiss was just a bonus, or so he told himself.
Melting an ice princess like Kris started as a challenge, but by the time Nate realized there was more to Kris than meets the eye, it was too late: he had fallen.
But they’re not just from opposite sides of the track—they’re from different worlds. And when those worlds collide, Kris and Nate must decide whether they’re willing to give up what they have for what could be…
If Love Had a Price is book three in the If Love series but can be read as a complete standalone. It takes place between books one (If We Ever Meet Again) and two (If the Sun Never Sets). No cliffhanger!
Recommended for 18+ due to adult language and explicit content.
super easy audiobook and cute overall! 💚 And honestly, in her If Love series, she really dives into some gut-wrenching third-act breakups that make you go DAMN.
will do full review later

➳ 𝗽𝗿𝗲-𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱。ꪆৎ ˚⋅ you don't understand i just have two books left for me to have read everything she has written.
ana huang is a queen, she never fails. now, this book wasn't all it as I did only give it three stars and a half but the plot, characters, and writing were done so well. I just think kris was a sucky main character, and that's one of the only reasons this book is rated so lowly. I'm so excited to read the rest of this series though and see olivia and sam's love story FINALLY. that's all I really have to say. :)
3-3.5 stars. This is my favorite in the series so far. I can see the improvement in Ana Huang's writing from the first two books and Kris and Nate were more developed characters than Farrah and Blake. I'm looking forward to reading Olivia and Sammy's story soon. RTC. The plot If love had a price follows Kris Ferrera and Nate Reynolds. Kris is a 21 year old heiress while Nate is a middle class aspiring actor. Kris's father is engaged to a much younger woman who Kris knows is only with him because of his money so he offers Nate $10,000 dollars to seduce her. Nate gets her to increase the offer to $15,000 as he and his family have been struggling financially since the death of his mother in a plane crash 5 years ago. Kris gets him 48 hours to decide whether he is going to take the offer or not. Of course he ends up taking it and this requires him to become Kris's fake boyfriend for the time being. However Nate and Kris start to develop real feelings for each other and it is not long before they are actually dating. However they are from completely different worlds and will this lead to the end of their relationship for good? My thoughts This was quite entertaining and it was better than the first two books but not as good as the fourth one, which I read the day after I read this one. Kris and Nate had much more emotional depth than Blake and Farrah and I liked them even though Kris could be annoying as well as cold and judgemental at times (I hated her in the first two books). Nate dumping Kris because he felt like he wasn't good enough for her because of not being rich which stemmed from Kris's father saying that they were from different worlds was annoying but it made sense. Thankfully everything got resolved in a good way.
╰┈➤𝘗𝘭𝘰𝘵 Kris is willing to give 15k to Nate a amature actor to act to get her soon to be step mother cheating. Kris is willing to do whatever it takes and when Nate tells her he want 15k and a Kiss she couldn't refuse to give it to him. Time was running out the wedding date loomed soon. But during their challenge emotions got twisted and the lines blurred from employee to employer to something more.
╰┈➤𝘛𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘴 This book had a very much insta love or insta lust connection in the beginning. You could also see they became somewhat friends and a hate to love situation. You also had the poor mmc and rich fmc happening. There is Fake dating involved but honestly not really good. And lastly Opposite Attracts or Grumpy x Sunshine reverse!
[̲̅€̲̅(̲̅𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴)̲̅€̲̅]
╰┈➤𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘦 When Kris gives him the offer of the life time he jumps at it as a drop out college student and the only one supporting his family he needs the money, but at the end of the day he will throw away all the money in the world to be with the woman he loves. I love Nate honestly he is so sweet and considerate and ahhh amazing!! I really love his character and how he treats Kris like a queen not by spoiling her with gifts but giving her a safe place and everything! This man is THE man!!
╰┈➤ 𝘒𝘳𝘪𝘴 Kris Grew up with all the luxeries in the world but when it is threatend by her soon to be gold digger step mother she will give 15k to a actor, but when she agreed to give him 1 kiss also she didn't know she was wanting for than just a kiss. I love Kris she is honestly the mix of Elle Woods and Cher Horowitz. I love Kris she is a ice queen but deep down all she wants is that one person who will always be with her. She is amazing and so strong<3
[̲̅€̲̅(̲̅𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴)̲̅€̲̅] This series had 1 hope in it!! I was so ready to quit on this series but nope this book saved it!! I love the concept and yes I hate the insta love in it but honestly it played such a great role in it. I fell in love with the characters so much. I must admit at the end the mini huge plot wasn't necessary or it was but I wish it was presented in the beginning. This book really did surprise me, I felt so much in this book. And it showed that money isn't everything. Money may help stable your future but it isn't everything which i absolutely ate.
While this was far more enjoyable to me than the first two books in the series, it dragged on for an unnecessary amount of time. I really like Nate. It was cool to see where Nate Reynolds got his start after his name being tossed around in many of AH’s other books. I think he and Kris make a good couple. It was just hard to get past the lengthy feeling of the book, as well as Huang’s irritating habit of repeating information to us like we haven’t been reading the book all along.
So far this series is just not giving 😒 I’m so underwhelmed, really not rooting for any of the couples so. But this couple I would say is better than the first one but that’s about it. This storyline is really did nothing for me. Hopefully the last book is somewhat decent.
I really want a half star here. This was so cute (and kinda spicy). Nate and Kris are adorable together. I did not get a good read on them from Farrah's second book, but their romance is very fun. There is a lot of drama in here but so great how it all comes together.
i’m sorry but no. 2 stars. very close to a 1 star at this point i don’t even know, the first two books in this series were also 2 stars so it just seems fitting to give this one 2 as well, i finished the book that’s the only reason why it’s not a 1 star. this book was just a mess, i didn’t like the plot, didn’t like the characters. they got together so randomly and it felt all too insta lovey and i just wasn’t feelin it….like when they broke up and kris was hurt i literally woulda been like ok bye because how long have y’all known each other? not long like see ya lmao. idk i love ana huang these are her first books so please still read the twisted series because it is AMAZING. like seriously. OH and i hate third person so these books are already heard to read. the twisted series compared to these are so different omg and they’re so good, i only bought these books because i love ana and these covers are gorgeous.
If Love Had a Price is the story of Kris, a wealthy woman who offers Nate, a struggling actor, 10,000 dollars to seduce her future mother-in-law. Convinced that her dad’s fiancée is only after her dad’s money and influence, Kris determines to break-up the relationship before the wedding and believes that Nate’s good looks and seductive charm are the perfect solutions. However, Kris didn’t expect a kiss to be part of the deal, nor did she expect to develop feelings for him.
As the sole provider for his family, Nate reluctantly agrees to Kris’s proposal. He doesn’t know why he impulsively included a kiss as part of the deal, but he does know that he is drawn to the high-class beauty. Will the pair be able to resist their attraction? And how can two people from completely different worlds work?
This is a well-developed, character-driven novel that I thoroughly enjoyed. On the surface, Kris appears to be the typical rich girl. She loves her material possessions, has few deep and lasting relationships, and lacks direction. Kris also thinks she can solve life’s problems with money. However, she has much more depth as the story progresses, and her walls come down. Kris is intelligent and caring and deeply wounded by her mother’s abandonment and her father’s lack of interest. She struggles to let people in, for fear of being hurt again. I think that is why she is so drawn to Nate since he struggles with similar issues.
Nate is ambitious and motivated and from a completely different and way less affluent social circle from Kris. However, he has walls up too. Like Kris, Nate grieves the loss of his mother and resents his absentee, alcoholic father. He has a strong relationship with his sister, which keeps him grounded and focused, but he doesn’t trust others easily, and he veers away from deep relationships. Of course, Kris makes him see things differently, and much like her, when they are together, his guard drops.
The relationship between Kris and Nate is fantastic. They’re a couple that brings out the best (and sometimes the worst) in each other. They’re from completely different worlds, and yet, they have so much in common. From their fractured home lives to their feelings about relationships, Kris and Nate are more alike than they realize. They both want to keep their relationship a light, summer fling, and they’re both afraid to take a chance on love. However, their connection is strong, and their chemistry is off the charts steamy!! I loved watching them grow as individuals and as a couple, and their witty, passionate, and sometimes angry and frustrated banter is realistically portrayed.
Other characters in the novel, like Kris and Nate’s family members and one of Kris’s friends, are also interesting and well-developed. I cheered on Nate’s meddlesome younger sister and became angry with Kris’s irksome dad and conniving soon-to-be step-mother when they involved themselves in Kris and Nate’s budding relationship. As family, financial issues, secrets from the past, and other obstacles get in the way of Kris and Nate’s relationship, I found myself rooting for the couple and hoping that they could resolve their issues.
An interesting story with dynamic characters and a super-steamy romance, If Love Had a Price is a great story for readers who enjoy New Adult Romance with interesting characters and witty banter. Though it is the third book in the If Love series, it can totally be read as a standalone novel. Thanks so much to the author for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.
I think any critical thinker would agree that this book is worlds better than the first two books (which I still loved because I am easy to please). I have been intrigued by Nate Reynolds since the very first Twisted book & now 11 AH books later we are finally here & his book was not at ALL what I was expecting. It was better?
Of course, we already read about Kris and Nate in part If The Sun Never Sets, so we know she's getting married etc, but I SO enjoyed reading their story. It really was so cute & sad at the same time. I loved it.
I really liked this book. The story of Nate and Kris was adorable. I love Nate but Kris was not my favourite fmc. This book is way better than the first two.
Kris’ story! Loved that she gets her separate story and takes place in of course LA where her backstory with Nate begins. Yes drama of course because still trying to get her father away from gold digger and not having any luck and the enters Nate. Yes Kris has a rough side but this shows her softer and vulnerable side, loved it all!
I was pleasantly surprised with how well this book handles mature themes.
Ana gave the grace and sensitivity that some topics in the book demanded and I was very impressed with how it worked in fleshing out the characters and creating a more emotionally mature bond between them.
Kris was actually a delight to read about, especially after the 50% mark. I was a goner for Nate from the very first moment we met him and I’m OBSESSED with how obsessed he is with Kris. (That epilogue was everything I needed)
This book has however made me feel a need to read more books with an actor MMC so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know!
This pair worked wonderfully together and I’m sad that this book has come to an end.

Update : she wasn’t!!! Will this FMC be as self-absorbed as she sounds? Tune in to find out
This book takes place between book 1 and 2 of the If Love series. Since those books have a 5 year gap between each other. This one is about a different couple though. It's about Kris and Nate who we meet in book 2. I wasn't crazy about Kris's story. I didn't like her in the books. She's the heiress of an empire, super rich and spoiled. Nate is an actor, he lacked substance. They both lacked substance actually. Kris wasn't interesting enough to carry the book as protagonist. The plot was also a bit icky. She hires him to seduce her future stepmother. I didn't find the jokes funny.
Some of the scenes were he gets jealous were the best part of the book. Other than that. Plot was a bit all over the place with so much stuff happening that the plot of the stepmother gets buried and forgotten.
Written in 3rd person pov… 🥶 but otherwise pretty good. Some plot choices were weird, like the mother thing🫣 but overall an enjoyable read. If love - series in general isn’t Ana’s best work as Twisted - series shows better her potential as a writer, still these books provide great entertainment.
I loved Kris and Nate!! Both of them as characters are multi-layered and interesting. They fit really well together🫶🏻 Skylar was also a great addition, she’s amazing!
Okay so… um. Wow. I might have to say it but I found this to be the weakest book of all Ana Huang books. I just really struggled to get through this book. Which is such a shame because the other two books in this series were SO good and I loved them. However, this one just didn’t do it for me. It had the strangest plot twist in the last hundred pages and it just felt random. Like there was no lead up or hints or anything, just bam! And the romance was alright, nothing crazy. This is the 11th Ana Huang book I’ve read and I’ve loved them all, just not this one. And I really tried to love it but even getting through the last thirty pages was hard. I really recommend reading the first two books of this series and the rest of Ana Huang’s books before picking this one up though. I don’t know, it just wasn’t for me. 5/10
Ehhh I wasn’t a fan of this one compared to the other two. Even though I knew this one would have different characters. I just didn’t love it and had trouble focusing. Also, I don’t think Kris was a good MMC period. The plot itself seemed good, but overall not for me.
