My review is for Jess peters “An explicit price”. Unfortunately this one just wasn’t for me. That is just my opinion as a reviewer, I was asked to ARC read this book and out of respect for Jess and the other authors I held off to allow the book time to get out there. Unfortunately, I found that there just wasn’t any chemistry built between the characters. The “dom” representation just wasn’t there for me. No “good dom” as he refers to himself as being would do and allow those things to happen to his sub especially when there were no boundaries put in place. I’m not unaccustomed to dark romance with dark themes but what happens in that club, that scene was just all wrong. No matter how much he wanted her tears, it’s not a good representation of dominant behaviour nor is it accurate. I feel when it came to the bdsm relationship between the two that the author needs to do abit more research into the dynamics of bdsm and talking with people in the community would greatly help her build her bdsm scenes to be more realistic. I think she has included some aspects of a bdsm relationship semi-accurately however I feel they are lack lustre and the chemistry and desire just isn’t there between the characters. It is never built up and sexual tension is never really created between the two. All this makes the ending of the book so hard to grasp. I know it’s a short novella but I feel it wrapped up too quickly and unrealistically. I loved the concept of the book and was excited to read it, I believed it had a lot of potential but unfortunately it fell flat for me. I have to rate it a 1/5.

My review is for Explicit Price by Jess Peters. I absolutely loved this dark romance novella from start to finish and I could not put it down. One of the main things that I really enjoyed about this book was the fact that it featured a heavier-set female main character, which is something that I don’t come across in a lot of my readings, so that was very pleasant to see. This is my second review for this author and needless to say she’s quickly becoming one of my top favorites. I love the way that she writes: the characters, the scenes, world building...everything is absolutely flawless. I'm a lover of a good dark romance book and this definitely took the cake. I loved watching Lilian and Zayn grow as individuals and together as a couple. I look forward to reading more from this author and I will 100% be adding this to my "read again" pile.
This review is for An Explicit Price by Jess Peters contained in this anthology. BDSM. Dom & Sub. Novella. Zayn never expected his neighbor to show up on his doorstep covered in blood. Lilian snapped. She knew she either had to call the cops or go to her neighbor. She has heard the rumors about him. Will he help her with her mess and if so, can she handle his price? The Explicit Dom series has been my introduction to Jess Peters. I have LOVED every one of the books in this series. She has quickly become one of my favorite authors. If I could rate this book more than 5 stars, I would! The combination of the Dom and Sub relationship and the spice is just amazing. Even though it is a novella, there is still character growth and development. The FMC has curves!! I love it when the FMC is not the standard twig.
This review is for An Explicit Price by Jess Peters. This was a short dark romance novella featuring Zayn and Lilian. I liked the story overall, it packed a lot of spice in such a short read. Lillian was a good character, and I am glad she grew so much in this story. Definitely check the trigger warnings for this one! The one drawback I had with this novella was the representation of their D/s relationship, there were boundaries crossed early on and I am glad Zayn realised his mistake but damn.
My review is for An Explicit Prince by Jess Peters and it was awesome! A short spicy little BDSM to get you all worked up, but also leaves you wanting more. This is a perfect little short to ready in between her other Explicit books to help keep the themes going. I love that Zayn showed Lilian what she deserved when it came to a partner and I love that Lilian finally found her worth through Zayn’s help. Love this story so much!! I definitely need more!
I read An Explicit Price by Jess Peters. Which is one of the stories within this book. It was hot and steamy. It even made me cry a little but in a good way. I cannot believe the amount of detail within 63 pages. I can say Jess is an awesome author and knows exactly how to write dark romance. You should read this book even for this story alone.
