Tropes: enemies to lovers
Steam level: 3
Language: a few "f-bombs"
Note: although this is book 1 of a new series, a character from a previous series plays a large secondary role. I recommend reading the "Scandalous Sons" series, book 4, first.

4.5 stars rounded up to 5. I'm a fan of this writer and this is an excellent start to a new series (it's much better than the last book in her previous series). Great mystery with some faintly dark undertones. Strong plotting and pacing with genuinely surprising twists. My only caveat: This is a bit steamier than usual for the author, with plenty of open door action, which is OK, but I felt the plot didn't need it. I enjoyed the main characters' chemistry but I would have been fine with more of a "slow burn" transition from enemies to friends to lovers.

Overall: one of the few current authors who can successfully tie in spicy HR with Gothic-tinged mystery.

They complemented each other in many ways. She was the calm to his storm. The light to his darkness. The order to his chaos. Whenever their lips met, he realized he was out of his depth, and she was more than a little dangerous.

5 stars!

Ever since Adele's last series The Scandal Sheet Survivors ended, I've been eagerly anticipating the Chance brothers' stories as they proved to be darkly intriguing, and Christian did not disappoint! Aptly nicknamed the King of Diamonds, Christian is the multifaceted Chance brother. He is intelligent, inquisitive, yet equally as hard and dangerous as his brothers. When he accepts an opportunity to help Mr. Daventry investigate Egyptian artifacts, he doesn't expect to come face-to-face with the daughter of his family's enemy.

As is typical with Adele's novels, the mystery that surrounded Christian and Isabella was captivating as we slowly unravel the various clues to discover the villain, but the romance and chemistry between them was absolutely brilliant. I just loved how tender and vulnerable they were together, and I cannot wait for the rest of the Chance brothers to be unknowingly paired by Daventry🖤

Tropes: 'it's always been you', hate-to-love-you, scholarly hero, heroine-in-danger, murder mystery, band of brothers, found family, slow burn, STEAMY🔥

Christian Chance may run a gaming hell with his brothers, but his true passion lies in scholastic endeavors. He’s a mass of contradictions, with angelic features that mask a keen edge of danger and honed muscles that disguise a keen intelligence. Having begun a privileged life as an earl’s grandson, only to be disowned and find himself living on the streets of the rookery. When he’s offered an opportunity to put his scholarly side to use investigating potential fraud at a museum, he agrees. Unfortunately, he’s met with an unexpected partner, the daughter of his family’s sworn enemy, who is tempting enough to incite both disdain and passion in equal measure.

Isabella Lawton has been running her entire life, but since her mother’s death she’s been left with no choice but to return to London and hope her father isn’t as evil as she remembers. But she returns to an empty house without a trace of the man who loathed her. When she happens to secure a position employing her knowledge of Egyptian artifacts, it seems the perfect solution, even if it means working with a man who can scarcely tolerate her presence and is doing everything in his power to keep her at arm’s length.

At this point I’m really not sure Adele can write anything I don’t at least like, but I truly loved this one. Isabella and Christian were perfect together and I loved the fact that their initial distrust was so quick to fade, and this story soon became a matter of them working together against an outside antagonist. I adore it when this happens in romance, though it seems to be rare. There was much more to Christian than met the eye, and I loved how he was so willing to open himself up to Isabella and show her those facets of himself. Dark, broody heroes are like catnip to me, and Christian was the perfect blend of tortured, protective hero, yet a cinnamon roll with Isabella. These two truly saw each other in ways no one else had and I loved the way that discovery played out on the page. Their chemistry fairly leapt off the page right from the beginning, and Adele remains the queen of carriage steam. The mystery here was also solid and multifaceted enough to keep me invested. I’m loving this spinoff with the Chance brothers and excited that we still see Lucius Daventry and his agents. I can't wait for the next story already, and to learn more about their backgrounds, which is really saying something as I’ve been struggling to really get excited about books lately.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Blog link: https://mustreadalltheromance.blogspo...

I really enjoyed the plot and chemistry between the hero and heroine. It gave me The Mummy mixed with Romeo and Juliet and Moulin Rouge vibes. Only thing that takes me out of the story is the “need to bone at every moment even if we are solving a murder”. Like hold your horses and get your priorities straight. The penis will still be there in an hour. Stop inconveniencing everyone around you so you can get that soft covered steel.

This intriguing and captivating book follows the adventures of Christian Chance, a former earl’s grandson who now owns a gaming hell and moonlights as a scholar, and Isabella Lawton, a runaway heiress who returns to London after her mother’s death. The two are thrown together by fate when they are hired to investigate a case of fraud at the museum, where they discover a web of secrets, lies, and danger. Along the way, they also discover a mutual attraction that sparks between them, despite their initial animosity and distrust.

The book is a fast-paced and engaging read that combines mystery, romance, and humor. The author does a great job of portraying the historical setting and the social contrasts between the aristocracy and the lower classes. The dialogue is witty and realistic, and the chemistry between the main characters is sizzling. The secondary characters are also well-developed and add to the story’s charm and suspense. The book has some steamy scenes that are tastefully written and fit well with the plot.

This book that will appeal to fans of historical romance who enjoy a blend of mystery, action, and passion. It is a standalone novel with a satisfying ending, but it also sets up the stage for the next book in the series, which I look forward to reading. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a little bit of danger in their romance. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I know you see in my reviews a lot, that this is a favorite author but I have read thousands and thousands of books and hundreds and hundreds of different authors. With that being said, I really don't have that many authors that I consider favorites. But Adele Clee is one of those favorites. This is my 36th book by her and I've been reading her since 2016.

I love that this is a new series. As most of you know, I read a book in a day or usually no more than two so don’t take that it took me awhile to read this as any indication it wasn’t good. I am just getting over knee surgery and still just blah. Been super busy at work since I was out a month and been trying to catch up and I just haven’t gotten back into the reading rhythm. I didn’t even read as much as thought I would while I was out that whole month. Which was also weird. Anyway, I really liked this book. I loved that Adele has that intrigue and suspense in her stories.

I loved Christian and Isabella. I loved their individual stories, their personalities, their chemistry. Just an overall great read and this is going to be a great series with the Chance brothers.

Wowzers what an amazing story to a new series!

Isabella is his weakness but she's also the daughter of his family's enemy. Chance is the one person who ever showed her any kindness.. But that was until she finds out what her father and stepmother did to him and his brothers

However despite their differences they have to work together in order to discover if someone is smuggling fake artifacts or not. Except along the way things turn a little bit more dangerous in not just the case but between them, they start feeling a connection that neither of them can deny despite the fact they aren't supposed to feel anything for each.

This story is full of on the edge of your seat of who done it, laughter, sadness and the best happily ever after.

I definitely can't wait for the rest for the rest of this series.

I received this an advanced copy in exchange for a voluntary review and this is purely based upon my own personal opinion and that of no one else.

ALL THE FEELS

I will willingly admit that A Little Bit Dangerous had me tearing up twice. Yes, there is plenty of mystery and spiciness in the book, but Clee pulled out all the stops in this enemies to lovers regency romance. The book is part of her greater regency romance world, but can be read as a standalone.
Clee is among the best romance writer currently penning books. No she isn’t as widely reads as Quinn, Scott or James, but her books are better crafted than most, as she makes her readers jump feet first into every story she crafts.

Another story with a load of stellar reviews. Another reader here who doesn't ay all get why.

The plot was all over the place. It read like there had been several books before it, but none that I could find.

The story was a patchwork of action sequences followed by the same conversations over and over. Then, new, unrelated "clues" would be shouted out, making this sprawling story more confusing. What started as a supposed case of fake Egyptian artifacts ended up instead being a ridiculous non-period story about human trafficking, the illegal sex/slave trade, fake museum artifacts, obsessed titled dudes, vengeful fathers, super damaged former street urchins turned gambling hell owners, and one angelic virgin anxious not to be. Oh, and it was also supposed to be a romance.

I wish I'd stopped reading about halfway through. The pace was super slow. It sort of unfurled in many directions without much logic. I can't imagine the rest of the books in this series.

Family loyalty & devotion vs your heart's desire!
I've been looking forward to getting sucked into the gaming hell, Fortune’s Den and the strong protective, formidable Chance brothers that rule there and this first foray and series starter made for one fabulous beginning.
I could feel the emotions and charged attraction that fueled the thrumming chemistry between Christian - a heady mix of brawn, intelligence and tummy swooping consideration - and Isabella, his family's enemy through connection - honest, smart and despite running scared, awe inspiringly resourceful and resilient. Both with a keen scholarly interest in Egyptology are brought into work together by our canny, matchmaking enquiry agent, Lucius Daventry, to investigate fraud at the museum. Together they are just pure magic, in all their insecurities, savvy wit and conflicting loyalties.
They got under my skin so quickly, from first meet, as their facades slipped to reveal so much lying beneath. The vulnerabilities and insecurities that bound them, made them stronger together and balanced them out...a true partnership of mind, body and soul. I loved the steamy, heady intimacy that charged the flirtatious teasing banter, heightened their connection, revealed an intensity of raw emotions and bound them wholeheartedly and irredeemably together. So easily did they make my tummy swoon, dip and swirl, as heat rose between them, started to crumble those insurmountable walls and became too strong to ignore, I was hooked. It's then such a shame that the root of what essentially made them stronger had the ability to corrupt their chance at a future.
Being the daughter of his (and thus his family's) enemy, dredges up so much hate, animosity and the cause of a lingering raw vendetta against her father - that his older brother especially bears and spearheads - may not be great news for our heroine initially, but makes for a compelling cocktail of heightened suspense and a fabulous bittersweet frizzen spring of electric tension between all involved. Forcing Christian into a conflicting internal war of loyalties that pitches his heart against his love for his brothers. All while he tries to solve a dangerous case beside the woman he is fast falling for, at the cost of breaking his heart in the process.
In this fun, suspenseful, enemies to lovers tale that gripped me emotionally and wouldn't let go as both an intriguing mystery plot and steamy, life altering, romance. I see another winning series on the horizon for Clee! Fabulous!

5 STARS, REGENCY DRAMA MYSTERY LOVE

Adele Clee gives us 5 STARS in her Book 1 of her new series, Rogues of Fortunes Den. It is a well written fast past regency era romance filled with mystery & drama. The characters are interesting & described in that way you either want to be their friend, run for your life, take a shower, or wonder how they manage life. We know a few characters like Mr Daventry who has an inquiry agency that is well known because he is the bastard son of a duke. Then a few people that have been associated with him in a Series about him & his agency. There is a great BLURB that will just entice you to get the book & read it.

The Chance Brothers have a grandfather who was a Lord & had been a member of the Ton & an Uncle who is an Earl, although a weak fop who doesn't acknowledge them. Their father was kicked out of the family for marrying women his father did not approve of & other ways. He treated his own sons as if they were cattle he owned or slaves to do his bidding & did not show them any love.

Now, years.later Christian Chance has agreed to help Mr Daventry on a case about some Egyptian Artwork at the museum & has hired an assistant to help him, also with Egyptian Figurine knowledge. Christian can't believe of all people it's Isabella Lawson, Lord Lawson's daughter. The daughter of the hated devil's spawn, the man who living next door had helped their Stepmother to put out the Chance boys in the street without money, food, or clothes, right after their father died. Lord Lawson was the.lover of the Stepmother. Christian was only 11yrs old & his brother Aaron still a boy himself, was the oldest of the 4 brothers became like more of the father, the head of the family.

Murder, stolen artifacts, smuggled artifacts to possible opium, selling fake artifacts, the abuse of maids & foot men, women hating men, and a beautiful love affair. Further, the evil men all are hiding something.about what they are smuggling and what a surprise to find out what it ends up being & who is involved.

Christian & Isabella each have childhood scars left over from trauma from her father, and then each with not having safe places to live for years while young but they both remember each other in the garden & a box of biscuts. They both have charisma, and a sexual.appeal.to the.other that is almost.electric. Others notice it & they fight it because of who she is. I really enjoyed this book & look forward to book 2.

A Little Bit Dangerous is the first in Adele Clee’s Rogues of Fortune’s Den series following the Chance brothers – owners of Fortune’s Den.
Thrown onto the streets when they were children Christian Chance and his siblings have risen to be the powerful owners of a gaming hell. But Christian is also a scholar and longs to do something independently. He loves his siblings but wants to put his talents to better use. When he gets a chance to assist in an investigation involving Egyptian artefacts for Lucius Daventry, Christian jumps at the chance. Unfortunately he is partnered with the beautiful Miss Isabella Lawton – the daughter of the man who ruined their lives. Torn between his admiration for the lady and his loyalty to his brothers Christian will have to find a way to keep Isabella in his life without breaking his bond with his siblings.
Isabella Lawton has spent her life running for self-preservation. Alone and desperate she clings to the lifeline given to her by Mr Daventry to work on the case. Surprised by the animosity shown to her by the boy she used to call friend, Isabella must show that she is nothing like her father. But when the case leads them to danger and intrigue and the man she ran from can Isabella trust enough in Christian to stay and fight for their love?
I really enjoyed this story. Isabella and Christian were very well matched. Christian did not trust Isabella at first but he quickly saw that she was just as much a victim of her father as he was. They worked well together and were quick to acknowledge their attraction. They both had secrets and insecurities and both were really open with one another which is refreshing.
As always the mystery was well plotted and kept the reader guessing. I loved the introduction of the new characters and it was great to see Lucius and his agents again. I loved the bond between the siblings and am really looking forward to Aaron’s story.
I received and ARC for an honest review. I did enjoy this and look forward to the next in series.

One is never disappointed with a book by Adele. If you have read any of her books you will know who Lucius Daventry is. He owns an Inquiry agency and has helped solve many cases for the crown. Just knowing he is part of this story tells you there will be lots of action. Christian Chance owns Fortunes Den with his three brothers. They have had a rough life thanks to being disowned by family and their stepmother. Having to grow up on the streets leaves deep scars. His brother Aaron, the oldest, did whatever it took to keep his brothers and adopted sister safe. Christian is very different then the men in most regency books. He is a scholar who can also hold his own in any fight. Ask by Lucius to help him with some Egyptian antiquity to determine if they are fake. The last thing he would have thought of when agreeing is to meet the daughter of the man who ruined there Lives! Isabella had always been alone; her mother didn’t want her, and her father was a horrible mean, cruel person. She has run away again to escape being forced to marry other cruel man just like her father. She was lucky to run into Lucius and be hired to help him with some antiquity. Seeing the boy who lived next door again surprises her but his hatred of her is worse. Oh, my let the games begin. These two have much to distrust in each other and his brother Aaron is the least of their problems but a big one. With murders, mayhem, secrets and many out to harm either or both of them. This is a very fast-moving suspense story. With a ton of twists and turns and loads of passion and feeling along with misunderstanding and faith. You will not be able to put it down grabs you from page one. I can’t wait for book two to be out. I received an ARC from the author and wish to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it.

Every time Adele Clee concludes a series, I wonder how the next one could possibly be as good… but it always is. “A Little Bit Dangerous” is the story of the first of the ‘Rogues of Fortune’s Den’ series. This enemies-to-lovers story features Christian, (also known as the King of Diamonds), and Isabella, the daughter of his family’s enemy.

Christian is the “smart” one of the four brothers who own Fortune’s Den, a gaming hell that caters to the man of society’s upper class. But handling the accounting work is not enough for him; he’s also something of a scholar with a keen interest in antiquities and artefacts. When Lucius Daventry (a name you might remember if you’ve read other books by this author), approaches Christian to ask for him to help on a case involving Egyptian artefacts, Christian can’t say no – and doesn’t want to. Showing up to a museum at the appointed time, he is shocked to find out that he’s going to be working on this project with Isabella, the daughter of the man who tried to destroy him and his brothers when they were still children. She’s been scrambling to survive on her own, barely getting by. As the story progresses, the mystery deepens, and so does the intensity of the forbidden attraction between Christian and Isabella.

There are multiple layers to this story, each one adding to the questions, answers, and suspense. Both main characters have suffered so much and deserve a bright future. Yet, there are so many obstacles in their way. For Christian, the obstacles include the opposition of his family who don’t perceive Isabella the way he does. This fast-paced story has multiple unexpected twists and turns on its way to a dramatic conclusion. It’s engaging, exciting, and emotionally powerful

Christian Chance is the owner along with his brothers of Fortune's Den, a gambling hell in Aldgate, London. Also a self taught scholar of Egyptian antiquities he is asked to assist by Lucius Daventry in affirming the questionable providence of the British Museum's recent purchases made while the curator was away in Bath.
Upon arriving at the museum he is surprised to see that he will be expected to partner with a most beautiful, curvaceous and exotic woman, Isabella Lawton. She reminds him that they used to be neighbors and her last recollection was his kindness in leaving shortbread cookies for her. Then he was, unbeknownst to her at the time thrown out of his house along with his brothers aged 11 to 16 to fend for themselves in the streets and rookeries of London following the death of their father. The stepmother did not care. He has resented her father and Isabella ever since as none would help them. Christian discovers that Isabella also was disowned and even now is starving. He feels protective and his emotions are torn as both of them are attracted to each other. So well written this will describe how they investigate and uncover the truths to the chicanery going on at the museum, the docks, and crooks. The heat gradually builds between the two in spite of the forbidden nature resulting in heavy steaminess. Both characters are highly likeable. Just a super passionate mysterious romance. Received this arc and have voluntarily reviewed.

Damaged and Dangerous

Their shared past decrees that Isabella Lawton and Christian Chance must be enemies, but they don't want to be enemies. They want to be friends, even maybe lovers. If they can survive the dangers surrounding them, who knows, they may just realize the impossible dream.

I love a well executed enemies to lovers tale that is cloaked in danger. A Little Bit Dangerous by Adele Clee is the best one I've read in a long time. Everything about this heart-stopping tale kept me totally engrossed.

Although the plot is simple, the characters are complex.

Isabella is a mix of brave and scared. Her frightened and damaged heart no longer believes that dreams can come true, but her brave spirit wants the fairytale ending.

Christian is mix of intimidating physical strength and emotional vulnerability. He wears one mask in public and a different one in private with his family.

If they can learn to trust one another, together they may just be unstoppable.

Content 411: This book contains secular and religious swearing and a couple of vulgarities. It also contains onscreen sex and implied abuse of women.

Disclosure: I received an ARC of this book from the author. I am voluntarily submitting my honest review.

So excited…the Chance Brothers gets their own series. I loved them in other books and could not wait for their brand of bad to be written on the page. Adele’s stories always intrigue me, engage me and leave me with total satisfaction. I can’t get enough of her stories. One of my biggest loves is the gaming hell owner books and we get so many gaming hell owners. This story is about Christian, the Chance brother gaming hell owner scholar. Does that make sense? Of course. it does because they aren’t all just brawn. Okay, mostly brawn that we all love so much. Egyptology is also my jam so Isabelle being a scholar is so up my alley. Intelligent, matches Christian in all endeavors, and loves with all of her heart. Their growing love through research and inquiry agent work is so sweet and lovely to read. Oh yeah, Lucius shows up too. Just love him and his “matchmaking” skills.

I look forward to each story of the Chance Brothers. So good because I know each one will be outstanding.

If I could give more than a rating of 5, I definitely would. Adele is one of my favorite authors and since this is the beginning of a new series, run out and get it, you won’t regret ever reading an Adele story.

I received a complimentary copy.

I was excited to start reading the Chance family series, & finally get their story. They’ve always piqued my interest when they’ve appeared in other Adele Clee books.
Sparks of attraction fly immediately when Isabella & Christian meet to examine Egyptian artifacts for a Daventry case. They soon realize they are actually meeting again, having been neighbors as children. To say family history makes their relationship difficult would be an understatement. Even with all the cards stacked against them, neither can or wants to stay away.
I really like this couple. Aside from amazing chemistry, they’ve both had to be smart & tough to get through difficult circumstances. They just fit. He’s all about family, & she definitely needs one.
Daventry is once again sly as can be.
There are usually mysterious characters & intrigue surrounding the love story in Adele Clee’s books. I think reading about the darker, dangerous side of London is more interesting than just visiting the ballrooms & mansions. There are some really evil villains to root against in this one.
Thanks to the author for allowing me to read an advance copy. Can’t wait for the next Chance brother’s book!

💋💋

This book is more than a little dangerous, it’s also a lot addictive and entertaining.
Featuring The wonderful Chance family, owners of Fortunes Den, a Hell on Aldgate St.

Christian Chance is a bit of a Scholar though has very little education, he’s self taught , reading books about Egypt, artefacts and attending any lecturers he could.
He is drawn in by non other than Lucius Daventry to help the Museum evaluate the provenance of two new and rare pieces.
He meets an interesting, intelligent and unique lady in his assignment, she is the daughter of his family’s biggest rival and he does his best to keep her at a distance.

We all know where this is going. With some brilliant scenes, characters and plot twists, this is Adele at her best.
Don’t miss this thrilling new series.

Whew anytime Lucious Daventry is involved it’s going to be wild!
Christian Chance is the youngest Chance brother full of brawn and brains! He’s also part owner of their gambling establishment and very handsome!
He agreed to take on an assignment as a part time enquiry agent and he is paired with Isabella daughter of Mr Lawton a beyond evil nemesis!
Isabella is determined to support herself so she accepts the assignment from Daventry and is paired with Christian who slowly but surely sees there is far more tot their history and story than ever imagined!
Christian is bound to his brothers and they would never separate!
There is no future with the daughter of Lawton his worst enemy and that of his brothers no matter how beautiful and innocent she is!
The truth has a way of coming out and impossible relationships become possible if Daventry has anything to do with it! Bravo

WOW JUST WOW!!! If this wasn’t just a little bit dangerous for my sanity!! I absolutely love this new series by Adele Clee. Gaming hell owners and the women that capture their hearts is my favourite trope.

I’ve so looked forward to the Chance brothers story ever since their appearance in The Scandal Sheet Survivors, I absolutely devoured Christian and Isabella’s journey to their HEA. Christian is the silent but bookish type with a lethal edge to him and Isabella is like an exotic flower with smarts put them together and you have sparks that ignite a fire that scorches.
Although their attraction is great they both try to stay away (more Christian than Isabella) being that she’s the daughter of the man that so cruelly threw them out of their home as children, once their mother died. But not all is as it seems with Isabella, she hates her father as much as the Chance brothers. If not for Lucius Daventry, Isabella would be in dire straits all she needs to do is appraise some Egyptian artifacts for their authenticity. Working together just might be what their damaged hearts need to put all the hate to rest. I’m soooo looking forward to the next book!
Once again well done Adele Clee!

An eagerly awaited triumph! Miss Isabella Lawton and Christian Chance are thrown together by Lucius Daventry, who needs their special knowledge of Egyptian artefacts to identify a possible fraud at the British Museum. Both of their lives have been adversely affected by the same one man. Could they get past their tortured history and work together? Murder, mystery and mayhem ensues. Great characters! I love that Christian has met his match in Isabella! So lonely and tortured, he deserves a happy future. Can’t wait for the next…

Childhood crushes realized…..

Loved the story of Christian and Isabella. The idea of their childhood connection added to the love they shared. It helped to make it all more believable. I loved that they knew how they felt about one another and how Christian was willing to fight for it. The story involved a mystery and suspense, but it almost felt like there were too many things going on even though they were all connected in the end. The side characters in the book were just as lovable and witty as the main characters. Overall, I loved this book and I love the Chance brothers.

Very Exciting!
In this first book of a new series, Christian and Isabella take us on an adventure to solve a mystery about artifacts which have arrived from Egypt, but are they genuine or copies?
The two main character, his brothers and Mr Daventry worked together in this exciting story until they solved the mystery surrounding these items and believe me at times it was quite nail-biting!
I must recommend this story and certainly look forward to the next one in this series.
I read an ARC (Advance Reader Copy) and my voluntary review is recorded above.

The great thing about these books is the continuity of characters under the direction of the cunning Mr Daventry. In this book we get much more of the heartbreaking back story to the Chance brothers. There were also loads of twists and turns in this action packed tale of greed, betrayal, smuggling, the perilous fate of men and women regardless of class and the potential for love for the truly brave. Loved Isabella and Christian and looking forward to the books for the remaining Chance siblings. I received an early copy from the author and I am leaving a voluntary review.

A wonderful story

This author never disappoints and is one of my favorites. Isabella and Christian's story is the beginning of a new series. We met Christian in a previous series and now we learn about the Chance borthers. The story started with a previous character Daventry, an inquiry agent who brings Isabella and Christian together for an investigation and things take off from there. The story is full of mystery, intrigue, kidnapping, murder, hatred and of course love. Enjoy!

History brings the two main characters together. Too bad he despises her father. There is a lot of background history between these two, but they are both commissioned to help solve the mystery of forged items in the museum. He slowly realizes she had nothing in common with her father. She wins over the hero and his brothers. It had some action and a few villains to keep the drama going. It was a good read and I’m looking forward to the next one in the series. I received an ARC for an honest review.

What a fabulous book!!!! I have read many by Adele Clee, but I think this might be my favorite!!! Romance-Mystery-Fantasy [Spoilers and adult description ahead] < spoiler> Fantasy because, while it might be arousing, I have never heard of a woman coming to completion by giving hand service :D :D< /spoiler> that made me gasp, laugh and grip my seat! I could not put the book down! It has been awhile since I have read a book this good! It is after midnight - but what can I do, but jump to the next one!
